Falied parts monitoring - warranty parts received handlling.

Hi everybody
I have a senario, in which when the customer claims warranty of certain parts, delears send those parts to OEM are closely monitored by the OEM.
It checks for three possibilities
1. vendors sends defective parts.
2. OEM producess poor quality goods
3. parts are working fine and returned back to customer.
it also checks for reconditioning those parts and replacing if procument of part take loge time.
based on the results the decisions are taken wether to debit vendor,or debit dealer or debit OEM.
my question is
how is this senario configured or handled.

There are a lot of factors involved in warranties. I'm going to close this topic just for now, and come back to it later today (or in a few days at the most).

Em, because you can use HDMI for picture and sound or not at all. You can't use a Radeon as dedicated sound card.

Monitoring Transmit and Receive Error

We have an monitoring system to monitor all the access points transmit and receive errors.
There are four column name "Receive Error", "Receive Discard", "Transmit Error" and "Transmit Discards".
I have notice that there are a lot of transmit discards packets than the rest of the columns for one of the AP.
Is it normal for the packets of the AP to have transmit discards high?

I notice that this AP the Dot11 driver runtime (1331728) is very high than normal Access point (78157)
The rest of the process runtime looks equal.
Is this indicate that the Dot11 driver is going to be faulty?

Monitoring data sent/received through any port

Is there any software that allows one to monitor data that is being sent from or received by the computer through any/all active connection(s)?
Though a bit of detail as to what was being sent or received, and through what, would be desireable, even raw hex would be helpful.

tcpdump allows you to dump all network traffic to a file. That is, if your hard drive can keep up!
Wireshark can do this, too -- and it'll also present parsed traffic in human-readable form. (Wireshark is the successor to Ethereal.)

Hp s2031 monitor will not receive premium channels from cable tv, due to hdcp. what to do?

I am moving to a building with only cable tv reception. I plan on ditching an old, huge (not flat screen) tv and will use my hp s2031 monitor with a tv tuner that will receive from a cable connection. I will gladly pay for premium channels like hbo, starz, etc., but my hp s2031 monitor has HDCP, which apparently will block premium channels. Am I incorrect? Surely hp has a fix for people who are willing to pay for content. I cannot afford a new monitor, and I do not want to lug my current giant to the new location. The screen on my laptop is much smaller.

You are incorrect. HDCP (high definition content protect) prevents HD content from being sent over analog signaling. Since your HP s2031 monitor has both VGA (analog) and DVI-D (digital) inputs, you will need to use the DVI-D input to watch HD content. Your cable box will most likely have a HDMI output. To use this with your monitor will require a HDMI-to-DVI cable.

MacBook Pro retina as monitor for AV receiver

Is this possible:
Connect AVReceiver (in this case latest Denon Av2113) to MacBook Pro and route the video to MacBook Pro (or iMac 2012 27") screen.
For example show bluray (or any other video source that Denon can route) video on the MacBook Pro screen.
Scenario I am trying to make is to avoid purchasing extra tv or monitor for the work room and just use the screen or one of the Apple monitors connected to the computer for video display.
If this is possible how should I connect the devices.
Do I need 3rd party software for this to happen.
I have tried: Mac connected via the HDMI port on Mac to HDMI out of the Denon.
The other way round I can easily play music from Mac or Mac sounds on Denon connected speakers either via HDMI in or via optical.

Not receiving email notifications of iCal event invitations from other parties.

I am not receiving emails for iCal event invitations from other parties, but the invitations ARE in my iCal Inbox. I don't use iCal often, so I never proactively go in to check my Inbox there, but rather have always depended on receiving the email notification of an event invite to know to add it to my iCal. I can SEND invitations to others successfully with other parties receiving MY email notifications, I'm just not receiving them via email.
I've now missed two very important meetings because I never received the email invitations to add an event, which were the only forms of correspondence for both. Can anyone help me? Thank you!

HTTP Receiver Adapter: Payload in SXI Monitor

We have a scenario where System A is sending information by HTTP to SAP XI (No Sender HTTP Adapter required). SAP XI is posting an Idoc in R/3 and sending back two fields to same sender.
We have defined 2 Receiver determination, one for Idoc and another for response for the same sender. Further also seprate mapping program, Interface mapping and Message interface has been defined for them (No BPM is required).
When we are running the test,everything goes successful and the incoming messages has two receivers, the Idoc is posted and also a response is send back to the sender system(which becomes receiver now). I can see successful flag for both of them and further the receiving system also is able to receive the response successfully, but I cannot see the response payload in Monitor for HTTP receiver, it shows the incoming payload and transformed Idoc after mapping, but it does not show the response message for HTTP receiver and only shows the incoming payload.
How can I see the outgoing payload for the same (as HTTP Adapter does not exist on AE) and thus RWB - AE monitoring is not possible. Can someone help me out how to check the outgoing payload for HTTP receiver in Monitor.

I am not bothered about Idoc part. The sender is sending supposing 3 fields
a,b,c. The idoc is posted with those two fields.
And a message is again send to Sender system (Which now becomes receiver) with two fields only (a,b) that we have received this field A( order number). This is not transport acknowledgement, but a payload which is send back.
Separate Mappings have been defined for Idoc and HTTP receiver and my query is that I cannot see the outgoing payload in monitor. Even though on verifying with the receiver system, they receive the actual transformed payload.
So I do I see the outgoing payload in Monitor for HTTP receiver in Monitor ?

How to ship a suppliers sample part to a customer to sample?

We are an end to end Oracle shop, currently using Oracle R12 version.
I have a business scenario and am seeking your help to identify the best way to map the process in the system
Goal:
Ship sample parts received from suppliers to customers to sample
Assumptions:
Customers are globally situated;
Sample Parts do not exist in INVENTORY and On-hand Balances;
Samples from suppliers are tracked outside of system
Reasoning for Extension:
To create shipping documents for shipping sample parts to overseas customers for freight carriers and govt bodies like customs etc.;
To have sample parts visibility
Frequently, we receive sample parts from suppliers. While some parts are sampled within the organization, others are shipped out to customers to sample as well before these parts are added to Item Master and sourced for individual resale or roll up in an assembly for future resale. Many of these parts are high dollar value therefore creating proper shipping document along with documentation for customs is also necessary for international shipping. Client would like to map this process in Oracle Order Management so they can create shipping documents and track visibility of samples when they're sent out. I need help in identifying the best way forward to map this business cyclei n Order Management.

So how to ship something that isn't shippable and doesn't exist as far as Oracle is concerned....
Just brainstorming but, I think I would:
Create a dummy sample item that is customer orderable, but not shippable, and has a cost of 0
Set up an item cross-reference that maps the true sample item description to the dummy sample inventory item
Set up your price lists to have the sample at 0 price
On the order, enter the cross-reference item into the ordered item field
Create a custom order header workflow copied from the standard order workflow with a custom process that creates the necessary shipping documents and sends to the shipping manager
Create a new order type for samples using the customized workflow
Create custom workflow for the lines that does nothing but close them

How Do We Monitor HTTP Receiver Communication Channel

How do we monitor the HTTP Receiver communication channel. Could you please share your ideas.
I am able to send the message to http to third party system. i want to monitor all messages which it's goes to third party system. Same like if you go to component monitoring we have communication channel monitoring over there we can do monitoring by adapter but when we choose http communication channel there is 0 messages.
Please provide monitoring thing those messages which is goes to third party system.

There isnt any transaction to directly monitor the HTTP adapter. However u may do the following:
1. To test the HTTP adapter you can just test the adapter_plain service in TCODE SICF.
2. TCODE : SMICM and then Shift + F1 and you can see the status of the HTTP server
3. You can go to SM59 to see whether the HTTP connections between XI and R/3 are up and running

       I have a secnario where proxy is at the receiver side. The interface is sucessfull from the Xi side and I can see checked flag in moni. But at the SAP end the table is not updated.
       So wanted to know where exactly the error could have occuered and hoe to debugg it.

Received request to upgrade firefox, then another request to install a computer stabilizer something and I accidently pressed install which happened in an instance, but it was not the upgrade..what was it? I am worried

I had been having difficulty watching an SBS video online,
it was not functioning properly so I closed firefox and restarted twice. Then received the upgrade message so decided to upgrade
ticked upgrade then a message came to install some sort of computer stabilisation thing, really I thought it was a part of the upgrade so touched install and whatever it was came in very quickly. Then the firefox installation was there to install and I did not continue because I was worried about what exactly I had installed.

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

Route Determination on STO (Receiving plant and supplying plant same)

Dear Experts,
We have two different STO type,
same supplying plant
same receiving plant, receiving debit to PO assigned account, not inventory, so we don't maintain storage location
same materials.
The requirement from warehouse: They want the two types STO link to two different Route. ( we have many plants, which based on transportation zone, link to different route already)
I tried maintained shipping condition on the sales order type DL, which suppose copy to the delivery order type DL, but it seems not working.
The shipping condition still copy from the ship to part (receiving plant).
Any suggestion for this case.

Thank you to reply me. Delivery type is NL, rather than DL (sorry mistake)
I am trying to use shipping condition which assign on sales order to separate the route.
So create a new Stock transport Delivery order type ZNL by copy the standard one NL.
And create a sales order type ZDL and assign the copy control (standard is DL link to NL), and set shipping condition type on new sales order type ZDL,
but it turns out the shipping condition still come from the ship to party rather than sales order, and route keep no change.
So if STO not follow the rules : shipping condition not from sales order , only from ship to party?
Besides, any other suggestion for this case?
