Can anyone please let me know, If there is a seperate screen to enter family members information through self service or is it same as contacts?

Hi Duncan, Yes, i wanted to check if there is any screen other than the contacts one. I may have to personalise the contacts screen to make it more relevant to family details entry.

I don't believe there is anything 'out of the box' for self service.
There is definitely the tools in the core product to generate the data required for the P60, see Metalink note 421200.1 for the latest on using XML Publisher.
I've seen one other client do P60 in Emp SSHR and they used bespoke code (OAF) to display data generated by the core product.

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement in which when a user logs in and concurrent program run which basically generates online payslip for an employee.Is it possible to submit the concurrent program with the required parameters through the employee self service responsibility?
I would also like to know if the print option could be made available to see the respective payslips after viewing the output through the self service responsibility screen?

We need build a custom controller having submitRequest() method in the ConcurrentRequest class containing the required parameters by using the code below :

Changing Road map step name through Self Service administrator

Hi,
My requriement was to change the name of road map step in Enrollment iview from review enrollment to just review.
for this change i went to Self-Service administrator role under which Portal Content>Content Provided by SAP> srvconfig>com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.ess.employee_self_service> Benefits>FPM APplications>Benefits Application changed the name in road map and saved it. But the changes are not reflected .Can you tell me what might the reason be?

VLAN Tagging for VMs created through self service

Experts !
I am evaluating SCVMM 2012 R2 along with HyperV. The aim is to provide a self service portal for each departments so that they can take care of provisioning and management of their VM. Each department will be using a dedicated VLAN which will be in the TRUNK.
I am planning to make a Priviate Cloud for each group.
Group1 - Private Cloud 1 - VLAN101
Group2 - Private Cloud 2 - VLAN 102
How should we enforce the VMs deployed by each group gets the right VLAN tagging based on the VLAN assigned for them?
At this moment, I dont see that self service user or even an ADMIN get an option to assign a specific VLAN while deploying from template.

First you create a logical network for each network/VLAN you will use. In the logical network you will specify IP Subnet and VLAN. Then create VM Networks for each logical network.
Then you create logical switch and use appropriate teaming mode. Then create a uplink port profile which will be used with the logical switch to specify what logical networks can connect to the logical switch.
Then you connect the logical switch to the correct NICs on the hyper-v servers and use the uplink port profile.

Unable to find the DC in Self-Service Administrator (SSA)

we are working with EP 7.0(ESS mysaperp).
whe have created a DC and the required components for some track in NWDS. when we tried to configure the Applications through Self-Service Administrator. we are not able to find the DC there in SSA.
is there anything to do for getting the DC there into SSA.

Is this SSA system assigned to the track as a runtime system? If so, to which stage?

Life Events Not Processed in Self Service

Hello All,
When the New Life Events are in Detected Status and you try to enroll the employee through self service , self service does not show the life event for enrolling.
After processing the life event from PUI , if I go to self service , then it allows me to enroll in to Benefits.
Any reasons why it would not process the Life Event In Self Service when its in Detected Status.

Employee Self Enrollment into Benefits via Self Service

Hi, Please help me with this. When an employee enrolls into benefits through Self Service during the open enrollment period, will the Enrollment Method Always be recorded as 'E' for explicit as opposed to 'D' for Default in the BEN_PRTT_ENRT_RSLT_F table under column ENRT_MTHD_CD? Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi Naveen,
Yes, the enrollment method is described as 'E' every single time unless the enrollment was automatic for which it will be 'A' or defaulted for which it will be 'D'.
Note that D does not mean that the choice was a default choice (it means that also) but that the enrollment was created by the default enrollment process.
Ex : Medical - Employee Only is a default choice for all employees.
Employee A goes into self-service and enrolls in all plans of his choice but chooses to keep Medical - Employee Only. The enrollment method is marked as 'E'E
Employee B never goes to selfservice. The Default enrollment process assigns the default choice Medical - Employee Only to employee. The enrollment method is marked 'D'

Need to Apply validation to Address Line1 in Self Service HR

Currently user is able to enter any no. of characters in Address Line1 through Self Service HR (ie. web). We would like to resctrict user to enter not more than 20 Chars in Address Line1.
Could anyone please let me know whats the best method to have this done.

Hi Nagesh,
Employee personal address comes from the DFF called "Personal Address Information" Select the Localization Address which you are using from Context Field Value, select the segment and check under Address Line one and set the value set to 20 Characters (Mandator).
Note: this does not require any personalization.

Is it possible to link qualification screen through Self Service ? Is yes..whats are steps to do it.
I would like people to update their qualification through Self Service.

it has workflow and you can turn on the approval. You can use generic supervisor approval or AME.
For the process name you just need to go to the function definition and get the Wf process name from the function definition.

I would like to know is there any procedure or document to run the Oracle Report
through self service in Oracle Applications using Report server i.e. using rwcgi60 .

Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you need to deactivate Find My iPhone on a device that does not work. You will need to work with the family member of the account the iPhone is registered with. I would recommend that you use this article to help you resolve or isolate the issue.
