FAQ: How do I submit a bug report or feature request or otherwise give feedback about Premiere Pro?

The best way to submit a bug report or feature request is to use the bug-report/feature-request form.
The Premiere Pro team doesn’t  necessarily see and record every post on every forum and social network, but we do see, record, and track every entry  through the the official feature-request/bug-report form.
It also helps a lot if you opt into the Product Improvement Program.
Also, be sure to use the crash reporter.
We really do read all of the bug reports and feature  requests, and the software really does get a lot of benefit from  detailed crash reports.
Don’t forget about contacting Adobe Technical Support or Customer  Service, too. For information on how to contact Adobe Technical Support,  see this page. (Note that you must register your product before you can open a technical support case for it.)
If you have tried to get help from our support staff, but the service  was inadequate, I can help you to escalate your issue if you send me  your case number at kopriva at adobe dot com. You must provide me  a case number. I am not offering to solve your problem myself; rather, I  am willing to forward your information to someone if you have already  hit a dead end with our Technical Support or Customer Service.
If you have feedback about the content of the Premiere Pro Help document,  then please add a comment at the bottom of the relevant page. You can  add comments to add information, to add links, to make corrections, or  to ask for clarification.
If you want to keep up with the Premiere Pro team, then you can follow our blogs, Facebook page, and Twitter feed and so on.
Oh, and I can’t resist this opportunity to remind you to update to  the most recent version of the application. Don’t be surprised when the  first thing that you hear back from us is that you need to install the  latest updates. We fix a lot of things in updates, and we don’t want to go chasing bugs that we’ve already fixed. We’ll keep you posted on our blogs, Facebook page, and Twitter feed about updates as they become available.

Hi qwerty,
Dun tink that creative customer support sucks cos I had been dealing with them in the past and I can say that their service are quite gd and fast. If you wanted a refund, I tink you need to contact the store that sells you the product. Dun tink creative will refund you though.

  • Reproducible Sloooooow Backup Bug (how do I submit a bug report?)

I've been having incredibly slow backup problems with my iPad. My wife was foolish enough to leave her iPad here today, so I'm doing some experiments, and I think I've identified the problem.
Her system had 2.5 gigs of stuff on it, and took less than 2 minutes to backup in iTunes on my desktop computer. I added ComicZeal, and copied 2 gigs of comics (261 issues) onto the machine. It took 90 minutes to back up.
Delete the comics, less than a minute to backup.
Add two gigs of music, less than 5 minutes to back up.
Add back two gigs of Comic Books in ComicZeal, and I gave up on the backup at the 75 minute mark (about 2/3 through).
So how do I file an official bug report?

Yep, this is consistent with what I'm seeing with cloudreader (and other pdf readers the in this case the files were pdfs but also coincidentally comic files as above). After an excruciating first back up the first time I synced, subsequent backups were reasonable (5-10 mins).. until I added a large number of pdfs to various installed pdf readers via itunes app sync tab (I was testing the different apps to see how they handled large pdfs). Adding the files to itunes took minutes but the subsequent backup the next time took hours - I've been following the hidden backup folder and the new back up files are similar in size to the pdfs. Using the time stamps on the backup files, one 100meg file took about 20 minutes to back up. I've tried both the original ipad cable and my iphone cable but little difference in speed. By contrast, my 8gb iphone backs up in 5 minutes is full but does not have any pdfs stored on it.
So Apple either needs to speed up / fix the sync or at least give the user more control over what is and isnt backed up.

  • How do I submit a bug report?

There is a plethora of bugs in CC.
For instance, CC keeps pushing updates that I have already installed. I've seen other discussions regarding this phantom update issue in this forum. One discussion was no help at all and in another, two Adobe staff members offered, well, nothing really as they only guessed at some 'would be' solutions. Both employes failed to resolve the issue.
In CC this is just the tip of the iceberg.
While Adobe has made and continues to make incredibly useful, professional and fluid products, the new Creative Cloud service sucks! So far, I cannot find meaningful answers/resolutions in this forum. A cloud service is a very different beast compared to Adobe's traditional offerings. That new beast needs attention.
So, where can I file a comprehensive bug report where I could submit detailed analyses and keep track of them?
    Best regards,

    Hi Romsinha,
Thank you for your suggestion but I already knew about that link. What I should haved mentioned is that on that page, in the "Product Name" selector pictured here (which must be set before proceeding further),
there is NO OPTION AVAILABLE for "Adobe Creative Cloud" or "Creative Cloud" or anything remotely related to the cloud service. There is also no "Other" option. All the products I own in that list work fine. So, again, where can I file a comprehensive bug report where I could submit detailed analyses and keep track of (my ticket) for the Creative Cloud product?
Creative Cloud is the service that is buggy. I have instances full of details ready to submit, including errors captured on my MacBook Pro via the Console. Unfortunately I have no way to submit them, not even via the link you provided.
As far as Creative Cloud is concerned, this forum has been no help at all. Judging by the shaky responses (or lack thereof) from Adobe staff members on the cloud service issues, I see no point in submitting detailed information on this forum. A "Creative Cloud" option should be added at once on the page you suggested.
Please do not take this response personally. I know you are doing your best to help. My frustration has to do with Adobe in general, considering the membership pricey premium we pay for the Creative Cloud service.
    Best regards,
    Mario Marceau

  • Using TFS and email for bug reports or feature requests

We've just rolled out a beta of our website and are soliciting feedback from external customers.  We set up a distribution list in Exchange where those emails all come to, but it's not practical.  It's difficult to track, it's non threaded and
we have different people responding and testing the same items.
We recently installed TFS 2010 to give it a trial run (nobody has ever used TFS before at all nor is anyone really familiar with it) and I have to imagine that you can use TFS to provide this sort of functionality.  Is there a paper or website out there
that discussion doing this via TFS?  Basically what I'm looking for is:
    1. User is presented with a webform, fills it out, clicks submit which generates an email sent to us (done)
1b. An auto response message is sent to the user who submits the form (not done as Exhchange distro wont do this without going the public folder route)
    2. Instead of the email coming to us, it would go to TFS which would auto-open a ticket
    3. All of us would have access to the ticket queue and be able to do the following
    a. ask further questions to the end user, have it sent to them automatically, update the ticket with the emails so we can all follow the thread
    b. able to reassign the ticket to a backlog, or as a bug to a current iteration or simply close it
I'm an IT guy/project manager rather than a developer but I'm pretty good at following documentation if I can find it for what I'm trying to do.  Thanks for any pointers.

Ahh, thanks for the extra details and clarification.  The features that you are asking for are definitely not provided out of the box, but are implementable using the TFS SDK.  Inlining a suggestion of one way your developers could
    implement this:
    1. User is presented with a webform, fills it out, clicks submit which generates an email sent to us (done)
Have the code for the webform make a call to TFS to add a new work item with a special iteration path, e.g. "UnconfirmedCustomerRequests" or a special field like "ActiveCustomerRequest" set to true.  You can add a potentially add customer
email address field to the work item template to keep track of the email address.  Then send the email out, and include the TFS bug id (and a link to the bug in TFS web access, if desired) in the email.
1b. An auto response message is sent to the user who submits the form (not done as Exhchange distro wont do this without going the public folder route)
Why can't the code for your web form take care of that?
    2. Instead of the email coming to us, it would go to TFS which would auto-open a ticket
Taken care of in step 1
    3. All of us would have access to the ticket queue and be able to do the following
    a. ask further questions to the end user, have it sent to them automatically, update the ticket with the emails so we can all follow the thread
You can write a web service that listens for notifications from TFS when certain work items are changed.  Updating the work item from customer replies may be trickier without writing another web form that talks to TFS or an email
    parser.
    b. able to reassign the ticket to a backlog, or as a bug to a current iteration or simply close it.

  • How to submit a bug report for OSB? - restore fails if number of items per page is changed from the default of 30

In the OSB web gui, one of my users found that if the number of items per page is changed from the default of 30, the restore of the file will fail.  He tested this using recent versions of Firefox and IE.  We have verified this to also be the case using Chrome.
In a directory containing over 100,000 files, moving 30 at a time to find the one to be restored is a very frustrating user experience.
How do I file a bug report for this issue?  Is there a workaround for this bug to enable my users to more easily find the file to restore without being restricted to the default of 30 items per page?

Yes there is a bug in the webtool in the current release. You can use the commandline obtool to do the restore, that is much faster and works fine.
    Thanks

  • How do I submit a bug to apple?  Is there some kind of link?

I just spent the last six months encoding and embedding album art to all my music/movie files using a app purchased from the app store.  All album art showed up in pre-iTunes 11 and all played just fine.  After upgrading to iTunes 11, every music/movie file that starts with the letter A and B have missing album art.  The rest of my files are ok.  When I navigate to finder/iTunes/movie album art embedded file shows up ok with album art.  I need to submit a bug report to Apple.  How would I go about this?

  • How do I make a bug report visible to others?

I submitted a bug report and the conformation came back as follows:
Your report has been assigned an internal review ID of: 164090
This review ID is NOT visible on the "Java Developer Connection" (JDC).
How do I make this bug report visible to others?

You don't. The person dealing with it does if they reckon it's a real bug and worth bothering with.

  • How do i use the bug reporter in ios 8

im trying to use the bug reporter for the beta ios 8 but i dont get to input anything. Maybe i dont understand how this works,so can someone please explain.either way i figure i should say somthing now.
-the infinity blade 2 app does not load
-my settings button doesnt load all the time,
-most of the apps dont load the first time i open them,if i switch to another menu then back it will load.
-just now i shut off my phone, plugged it into the charger. My phone then turned itself back on and had me reactivate it.
-the "sample" button in the ibooks app doesnt seem to do anything either
-most of the time scrolling down on anything rather large(e.g.songs,articles,facebook) there is alot of skipping or lagging effect
-when on safari i turn my phone sidways and it totally messes up where things should go and it wont return i have to exit and close to fix
anyways id just thought id put that out there

You need to ask this question in the Developer's forum, which as a registered developer you have access to. If you're not a registered developer, then you have no business messing with iOS Beta software, & discussing such, even bug reporting, is PROHIBITED in this public forum.
But, as a registered developer, you already knew that, correct?

  • How do I submit a bug to microsoft for TEE

I'm not sure but I think I may have found a bug in TEE on Linux.  The
question on stackoverflow was answered but I've just run into the same problem when trying to merge our trunk to my branch.  In short, the root of the problem is that was a directory named
Directory.  Over the course of time, our naming conventions changed and this directory became named
directory (the case change).  Interestingly, two files (a *.cpp and *.h) somehow were still associated with the first directory name though the directory named was changed and preserved the new case.  The problems should be apparent for Linux
    users.
Now, as the link I provided mentions, I did try to fix this by using the tf rename command, but after the command was executed to rename the first file, I could do nothing more using TEE because of this error:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /home/andy/devel/project/directory/code.cpp (No such file or directory).  Ok, I just moved on.  A coworker executed the very same command from a Visual Studio Command Prompt and it worked and he was
able to check in the named files.  "Great," I thought, I'll merge with main and continue.  I did so using the
tf merge -recursive <source_branch> <dest_branch> and promptly ran into the same problem when trying to do
tf status and any other tf command.
It seems that there might be a bug in how metadata is handled in this case when using TEE in Linux.  How can I submit this to Microsoft?

  • How do I send a bug report to Apple about iPhoto?

    1) Okay this is probably very basic but I'm trying to find a way to send a bug report to Apple about the problems I'm having with iPhoto and PE since downloading Quicktime 7.1.3.
    Can anyone help?
    2) Is there any way of finding out if Apple are onto this problem with Quicktime 7.1.3?
    3) I've also asked on another thread how I can uninstall Quicktime 7.1.3 and re-install 7.1.2. (the reinstaller for 7.0.4 doesn't work on my computer) but so far I haven't got a reply.

    (1) While running iPhoto, click on the "iPhoto" menu and select "Provide iPhoto Feedback".

  • How to find my submitted bug report in Java bug database

I just submitted a bug report in Java bug database and it told me that the submission is successful without its bug ID and no email notification is received from Oracle.
And I cannot find the bug in bug database with the title I submitted.
    The bug's product/category is Java Plug-in in JRE7
So how could I get the bug status? Will it be fixed and how is it going on?

I just submitted a bug report in Java bug database and it told me that the submission is successful without its bug ID and no email notification is received from Oracle.Last time I did that it also said it wouldn't appear straight away. They have to qualify bugs you know.
And I cannot find the bug in bug database with the title I submitted. How long ago?
So how could I get the bug status?Wait till it turns up?
Will it be fixed and how is it going on?How would anyone on this forum know?

  • How long for answer to bug report?

I posted a bug report a few weeks ago and evrything looked like it submitted fine.
...but haven't heard anything back about it, and it isn't listed in the bug database.
I used my member name and new email address when I submitted.
I would be encouraging to see something (anything) like "yes we at least have it in a queue of bugs to look at"
Does anyone know how long it usually takes for a bug to show up in the database?
    Thanks for any info...
BTW, there doesn't seem to be any forum related to the bug reporting process/database so I posted here.

Well I submitted a bug report on 13 Nov 2007 and received an acknowledgement within 24 hours but nothing since. Did you get an acknowledgement?

  • How to re-open a bug report?

    Hi,
I've found a bug in jdk6. I also found an entry for this bug in Sun's bug database (Bug ID: 4197239). It says the bug has been fixed but it appears to me that it is still there.
Do I have to create a brand new bug report or is there some way to 're-open' the existing bug report? I added a comment saying the bug is still there, but I'm not sure if that is sufficient.
    Thanks.
    -Martin

Create a new one. I've never seen a bug report reopened. I suspect if they ever tried it, the whole website would melt down. ^_^
