Fastest way to XMP tag movies?

Hello,
My first post! I tryed a search but did not find anything on the subject.
I have a gazillion of short movies to tag with XMP.
Because I do not know the content of each movie, I play them one by one and WHILE they are playing, I either drag them in a collection or tag them. This results Bridge to stop and go back to the beginning of the movie. So I have to look for where I was in the movie and play again until the next need for a tag shows up. And search again my point and press play and tag and search again and play and tag…
This is very frustrating and time consuming. I was so upset I had to quite several times.
What is wrong with me?
Is there any faster solution available?
Maybe another software?
Thank you for your help.
Best regards.

Well I tried creating a new project with iMovie 8 and added all clips to make one movie file. I was hoping that each clip would result in a chapter. Well after an hour and a half of waiting, no such luck. It seems that I got the same result as using One Step DVD. I have one large movie with no chapters.
So at this point I guess I have to use GarageBand to add chapters? I couldn't figure out how to open the movie and do that though.
Is my best be to do this to install iMovie 6? Will that create the chapters I want automatically? If not, is there other MAC software out there that will do what I want?
I bought a Mac because I thought all this stuff was worked out and made easy. It seems its no easier than the PC. Actually ULEAD on the PC was fairly easy. Any thoughts?

  • Fastest way to create DVD Movies

I have a ton of Mini DV tapes that I want to convert into DVD's. I am not real interested in editing the content. I would just like to have DVD's with automatic chapters inserted either on each day change or on each event (camera record button pressed). Is there a good way to do this? Do I need to purchase software other than iWorks to do this? I tried OneStep DVD on iDVD but that doesn't add any chapters at all.

  • What is the fastest way to detect on to off tag transitions and then read 500 analog tags?

what would be the fastest way to read 500 analog tags from the tag engine when a boolean tag transitions from on to off?? Right now I have a boolean indicator setup with the HMI wizard in a while loop with 20ms timer. The indicator feeds the boolean crossing ptbypt vi. When the output is true, I use one read multiple tags vi to get all 500 at once. I am reading data into the tag engine through an opc server and have around 2500+ tags. I need to read all of the data in less than 100ms. My plc logic is setup to zero out all of the 500 analog tags when the boolean indicator turns on again. Would I be better off using the trend tags vi to monitor the boolean indicator??

    Unclebump,
You might try using read tag.vi

  • Fastest way to move from one itab to another?

What is the fastest way to move one internal table to another internal table (assuming two tables of similar structure)?
    a) append lines of table1 to table2.
    b) loop at table1.
    Move: table1-field1 to table2-field1,
    table1-field2 to table2-field2.
    Append table2.
    Endloop.
    c) table2[] = table1[].
    d) loop at table1.
    Move-corresponding table1 to table2.
    Endloop.
    e) move table1 to table2.
I think it is option a). Is it correct?

    Hi,
Yes option a. is fastest : append lines of table1 to table2
In particular, the quickest way to fill a table line by line is to append lines to a standard table, since a standard table cannot have a unique key and therefore appends the lines without having to check the existing lines in the table.
APPEND LINES OF inttab1 TO inttab2.
This statement appends the whole of ITAB1 to ITAB2. ITAB1 can be any type of table, but its line type must be convertible into the line type of ITAB2.
This method of appending lines of one table to another is about 3 to 4 times faster than appending them line by line in a loop. After the APPEND statement, the system field SY-TABIX
contains the index of the last line appended. When you append several lines to a sorted table, you must respect the unique key (if defined), and not violate the sort order. Otherwise, a runtime
    error will occur.

  • Fastest way to create subtitles

Hi! What is the fastest way to create subtitles. I have a short film with one hundred subtitles. I have a text list with time codes, can I use that somehow? Or do I have to enter every subtile separately? And what are the basic settings?

A possibility seems to be using Quicktime Pro to add your text to a Quicktime movie. The Apple instructions are in Text Track Tutorial. I never used it in real life,... but I tested it in the past and it seemed to be doing what I expected: to layout text over an existing movie at preassigned timecodes...
For sure you must first adapt your text and timecodes to the required format, and most of all you must have the "original" timecode in your movie untouched (all timecodes your text is making reference to). But if you edited and exported your movie from FCE you lost the original timecodes... so I'm not sure this may help you.
The other approach is manual: in FCE add a text clip at the correct timecodes, one at the time...

  • Fastest way to view clips

I have a hard drive camera and it creates hundreds of clips. I want to look at each clip and then create subclips. Is there a way to speed up the process of opening up each clip individually and then setting my in and out points? Can I put them all in viewer stacked up and then just exit the one I'm done with and go to the next? Any keyboard shortcuts anyone can recommend? I would rather not throw them all into the timeline, wait to export all the clips into one .mov file and then edit them that way, but I know that is an option. Any advice would help.

use the keyboard. It's the fastest way. cmd-4 takes you to the browser, use the arrow keys to select the clip you want to view. Up and down arrows bring you from bin to bin, when a bin is selected. To open and enter a bin, use the left and right arrow. Once in the bin use the up and down arrows again to go up and down within the bin. Press the return key to load the clip in the viewer and the spacebar or "L" key to play. cmd-4 to go back to the browser and select another clip. If you want to rename a clip after you have watched it, press the Enter key (not the return key) and you will open the dialog box for the name. You can rip through the browser items without ever going to the mouse, which is what really slows you down.
In addition, if you have Leopard you can use the Quicklook feature in the Finder window and just use the up and down arrows to cycle through the clips. You don't even need to press the spacebar because every time you arrow to a new clip it automatically plays. You don't even need to launch an application to view them.
Just a couple of time saving features. If you have Adobe, you can use Bridge in the same way, but it's easier to name and add metadata to the clips before you import them into FCP.

  • Fastest way to print to screen?

I am writing a chess program and I want to print to screen a series of moves, one on each line. E.g.
    A1->C3
    D2->E3
    A3->E3
I am currently using System.out.print() to print each line separately, and I am wondering what is the fastest way to print them out to screen since the list of moves can get pretty long. I tried concatenating all the moves into a single large string then printing it out at once, but that seemed to be slower than printing each line individually.

I wrote a simple program that looped, printing "XX->YY" to the cmd window in XP. A thousand lines printed in 110 milliseconds (1/10 of a second.)
I think thats pretty fast. You probably have some other problem.

  • Best and fastest way to export HD Video

What is the best and fastest way to export HD video once I have finished editing it. I shot the footage in 720p30 on an HD camera, now I am just looking for the quickest way to get this out the door, any ideas?

And compressing DVCPRO HD to DVD isn't a quick process. it took me 13 hours for 90 min. With the specs you see below.
But to us, it is worth every minute.
We see a qualitative difference in DVDs whose source is 720/24pn on our component out DVD player to a Fijitsu plasma.
I swear that it is not much different than the original DVCProHD footage out the component of the cam.
Shane is responsible for educating and encouraging us to move to the HVX200.
We intend, of course, to send the purchase price bill for cam and cards to him.

  • What's the fastest way to kill the battery...

hello friends. i was wondering what's the fastest way to drain my macbook pro battery so i can calibrate it? i want to kill the battery not the laptop if you know what i mean. thanks.

Turn on wifi + bluetooth and turn the brightness all the way up, and if its a new mbp, turn off the automatic video card switching in energy saver. Then just play youtube videos / movies / games (anything that uses the vid card as much as possible helps) till it goes flat.

  • IMovie: whats the fastest way to import and save all original media?

Good afternoon. Ok I need help please. Is there a way to simply take all the imported original media and just save it all in one fell swoop? Rather than having to import and then process/export clip by clip.
I thought I had a quicker way just grabbing all the original media from the imported camera (right clicking imovie library > show package contents > original media) untill I tried to play one of the original media files - no sound and it was mov file. I assume mp4 is better???
I have 2800 hours of video I need to import off my camera. I don't need to modify them at all, aside from the occasional combining of clips into one movie. So I need the fastest way. Importing and then exporting clip by clip will take me forever. I would prefer to just import and then just drag all 50 clips or so into my movies folder. But as stated above that does not seem to work as expected unless I'm missing a step.
    Thank you!

ps Can I take the original media files (mov format) and batch convert them using handbrake or MPEG streamclip? And if so would the resulting videos then have sound? And which is the best format (container codec whatever) to export them to? Thanks!

  • How to print the table values in fastest way?

    Dear Friends,
I'm having table in my application and i need to print the table values. For that I used print() method to print the table values.
boolean complete = tableObj.print(mode, header, footer, showPrintDialog, null, interactive,
null); But, the time taken for displaying print dialouge box so late and printing operation is done very slowly.
Could anyone please tell me is there any better way and fastest way to print the table values?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
In the Module pool you will have fields. For those fields you have created the name also. Assign those name to work area and from there to internal table.
And for your requirement viceversa you need to done.

  • Is there a way to make comments "move to the back", behind the text and lines?

Is there a way to make comments "move to the back", behind the text and lines?
I am using Acrobat X Standard to "highlight" lines using comments lines at 12pt width and 50% opacity on DWG files converted to PDF.  The opacity setting makes the text and lines readable behind the highlighting, but the colors do not print well.  Moving the highlighting behind the existing text and lines would allow me to use 100% opacity with more vibrant colors.
Before, we highlighted by hand, but those colors do not scan or copy well.  Digitizing the highlighting is cleaner, and can be edited without starting over.  The "comments" lines can be applied by Acrobat Reader, Acrobat Standard, and Acrobat Pro, so there's an advantage.  Even more important is that the average file size of an 11x17 print that is highlighted and scanned in color is 1000 KB, while doing it this way, they tend to be 100-150 KB, and the text remains searchable. If there's another system that people use, I'm open to that instead.  I haven't looked in to doing the highlighting in AutoCAD.
Naturally, everything I'm doing is protected, and cannot be shared, sorry.
    Thanks.

No, that's not really an option.
