FCP won't update to latest version iteration, 5.1.2

While running software update on my iMac dual core, I noted the automatic download of Final Cut Pro 5.1.2 plus a Motion update. Great... however, on my G5 dual processor, my FCP version is 5.0.4. I run the software update each week, including today, and there has not been a new version update on this FCP in weeks. I went to the software support for FCP and downloaded the 5.1.2 version which, of course, won't update 5.0.4 because the update will only update 5.1 versions. I went to the earlier update sections to see if I could locate a 5.1 update download, to no avail. The only version available in the earlier downloads section is the version I am already running on my G5, 5.0.4. Seems like a catch 22 here... is version 5.1.2 available for dual processor G5s? I updated to the entire studio and to the universal version of FCP several months ago and don't understand why I can't upgrade my G5 installed FCP. Any suggestions?? Thank you.

that I have already crossgraded! And stilll the
upgrade won't upgrade.... mebbe a re-install of the
entire program might work, so I'll give that a try.

It looks as though you have the correct version on your iMac, but have not crossgraded on your G5. If you had crossgraded on your G5 the version number for that machine would show 5.1 or 5.1.1. Remember, just because you have a license for your iMac doesn't mean that you can install it on your g5 too. You have to have a separate license for each machine.

Okay I have been banging my head over this one. I need my iCal to sync via mobile me to my iphone 4 and ipad.... but it won't go to mobile me at all and the only way i can copy it to my other places is by directly hooking it to my computer and synching. Of course, this means you (and I) are missing out on some new features in the iTunes interface. And, if I remember correcly, it also means you can't rent or purchase movies/TV Shows. Reason being, I think, the now added HD. I did discover that I could still download and view video Podcasts, but I think the TV Shows and Movies are no longer compatible with iTunes 7. (Though you can still view items you've already purchased.)

Do you mean you were storing the documents in iCloud and now you can't see them from Numbers? If so, you probably need to check to see that iCloud is configured to work with Numbers.
Here in System Preferences > iCloud make sure 'Documents and Data' is checked:
And, after clicking 'Options...', make sure that 'Numbers.app' is checked.
You should be able to see the documents in iCloud when you go up to the title bar at the top of the screen and choose 'iCloud' in the 'Where:' dropdown:

Videos won't play in latest version

When will I learn that once I find a version of FF that works, not to update it? I was working with v20 for a long time, and it worked fine. Decided to update to latest version, and BAM! Videos don't play.
Tried safe mode, still same thing. No videos will play. Was fine this morning, but tried to watch CNN video and it would not play. Spinning circle just jumps around, doesn't spin. YouTube won't play either.

The iPod is brand new, sent to me by Apple as part of the 1st gen replacement programme. I've been using the cable that came with the 1st gen iPod (I bought the first gen second hand) It always worked on my computer with the 1st gen iPod. So I was wondering, do you think I need to replace my cable in order for my PC to recognize my iPod or is it something else?

Try a different cable. And are you connecting directly to your computer or through a USB hub?

Having difficulty updating to latest version of iTunes for my PC. Originally got C runtime error response. Uninstalled iTunes, then tried reinstalling and now receiving "service (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start" response.

When attempting to update to latest version of iTunes on my PC (11.1.4) I received an error message: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime error as well as: AppleSync Notifier.exe - entry point not found, the procedure entry point sqlite_wal_checkpoint cound not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll.

Websites just hang, and never get to where they are supposed to go. The status loop on tabs just spins and spins but never loads the site. Go to the same site on Safari and there in a second. It is like dial up slow. Have tried all the troubleshooting tips(reset, delete/re-create profiles, uninstall/reinstall, updated flash) nothing works.
Firefox had been working fine until latest update. What gives?

The blunt awnser is you can't - sorry
But you can- unadviseably as it is illegal - but there is still websites that do it but if you want to get the further iOS' then you will have to purchase a new ipod :)
