Music does not sync properly when updated to latest version.  Can see on computer but can't play from ipod.

    Hope this helps...
I was having the same problem where only 1.7GB of 10GB of selected music would sync so I decided to start fresh.  The following steps worked for me:
    1.  Open itunes and connect iphone 5 if not already.  Uncheck all playlists, artists, etc. till nothing is checked to sync.  Then uncheck the sync music box so that all music will be removed from the phone.  Sync iphone
    2.  Eject device. Quit itunes (don't just close). unplug iphone.
    3.  Restart imac, macbook, or PC.
    4.  Restart iphone.
    5.  Now after power up, restart itunes then plug in iphone, check sync music and select music to sync.  Sync iphone
    6.  It worked for me!!!  Good luck.

  • Does not load pictures after updating with latest version

I have windows 7 and just updated the latest version of firefox. Since I did this, none of the pictures load in my email.

    See:
If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"

My back and forward buttons do not work also the refresh button does not work, I have reloaded the latest version of fire fox and that did not help. All of navigation tool bar worked until I updated Fire Fox, now if I click on a link in yahoo, for instance, I can not get back to my yahoo home page without reloading Fire Fox. HELP please.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • HT4623 My sounds for such things as Netfix, or ABC Shows, etc does not work since last update.  How do I fix that?

Sound not working since last upgrade. Get no sound with Netflix or ABC, NBC,etc. worked fine before last update.
    How
    do I fix this?

    Hey Janetna5,
Thanks for the question. Does restarting your iPad help the issue?
    Restarting your iOS device
    1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
    2. After the device has turned off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

If not, is it possible that your side switch is toggled to mute sounds? See this resource for information:
Volume buttons and the Side Switch - iPad User Guide
    http://help.apple.com/ipad/7/#/iPad9940e758
Mute notifications, alerts, and sound effects. Slide the Side Switch toward the Volume buttons.
The Side Switch doesn’t mute the audio from music, podcasts, movies, and TV shows.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

as above, when i updated firefox to 7.0.1 the toolbar for roboform disappeared. updating roboform did not fix it. it does not show up as a tool bar in the view/toolbar tab. i made sure the firefox browser option was enabled in roboform.

  • Plain lvm on root does not boot since yesterdays update [SOLVED]

    Running early hook udev
    Running early hook lvm2
waiting 10 seconds for device /dev/mapper/VolGroup00-lvolroot...
try exit to continue boot, but will likely fail
That´s the message. Yesterdays update included a lot, so it did linux. If I wait a few seconds and type exit, boot succeeds. If I am too quick it does not.
Is this kind of problem always a kernel issue?

*EDIT: I just got in a new Kernel-Version, still does not change anything (3.12.2-1)
Last edited by kodiak (2014-09-14 10:44:55)

Seems not to be the kernel version. Downgrading to 3.12.1-3 did not change anything. Another interesting fact is that lvm commands are not available in the rescue shell. AFAIK they should? Is the rescue shell not at the point when the initramfs was loaded?
When typing exit and the system afterwards boots successfully I see again that the lvm hook is run again.
Installation is quite new (around a week), maybe it was the first time mkinitcpio was run. In that case, why does installation from iso fine, and from repos not?

  • The icon on my message app does not work since the update, the recipient is set up to use it, my grandchildren

The sent icon on my ipad doesn't work since the update to ISO 7.06 the recipients are set up to receive messages

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

  • Almost everything I do whether send an email or load a webpage it takes a very long time since I updated the latest version of Firefox; what can I do?

I updated to Firefox 14.0.1; my Operating System is Windows Vista on my Compaq Presario C700. I have taken it to the computer repair shop and they said they found a Trojan and removed it. It was still operating VERY slowly, so I took it back in. They said they could not find anything more. I removed MANY of my desktop icons and eliminated some of the programs from my start up menu. It is still taking up to 5 minutes to load some pages even just send an email!

    Hi,
Please try the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems Reset Firefox] feature via '''Help''' ('''Alt''' + '''H''') > '''Troubleshooting Information'''.
(To revert to the previous profile you were using, close the new profile (i.e. exit Firefox), start Firefox and choose the '''Default User''' profile. While the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles Profile Manager] is open, you can also delete the newly reset profile (the one containing random numbers), or the former profile, as the case may be). If the reset is okay, it would be a good idea to delete the old profile as otherwise it would be left intact with the previous data until deleted.

If the issue is due to Windows malware, posting in a dedicated security forum would also be helpful:

  • FireFox does not know Adobe Reader Plugin is latest version. Why?

OS is Windows Vista with all updates. Using Adobe Reader X version 10.1.9. Checking for updates from within the Adobe Reader program generates a message from Adobe that the software up to date, no updates available. Firefox advises Adobe Plugin version 10.1.9 is vulnerable and to update the plugin. Attempting to update from within Firefox connects with the Adobe update site. Attempting to update from within the update site brings up a message from Adobe that the latest software is installed. Please advise.

The plugin checker site is not able to* store multiple versions of the Adobe Acrobat plugin as the current version. So, with apologies to Windows Vista users, you simply have to ignore what the plugin check site says about that particular plugin and rely on Adobe's in-product updater.
''*'' It ''could'' be redesigned to do this in the future, but currently it is not able to do this.

Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple.Have yo tried:
    - Backing up and restore from backup. See:

  • Script does not work anymore after updating to FM 12.0.3

    Hi,
With TCS5, Robohelp would crash when importing FrameMaker books to RH, because the FM files had embedded graphics. So, I found a script to externalize the graphics before doing the import (the script is: ExtendScript of the week: Externalizing Graphics « TechComm Central by Adobe). However, this script is not working since I updated from 12.0.2 to 12.0.3. And without this script, we can't create HTML5 output!
Although I wrote a few simple scripts, this one is quite complex and would be difficult to debug. Anyone here knows what could have changed to make the script useless after such a small update? Or can update this script to make it work?
    Thanks!

    Hi again,
For those who would like to know... I made this script work with 12.0.3. I simply removed the instructions that  added an item in the File menu and stuff about a report, which I don't think ever worked. So, I still don't know exactly why it didn't work anymore (don't have time or knowledge to investigate), but I'm still interested to know.

    Hi Ron,
Highlight one in the Finder & do as Get Info on it, what does open With say to use?
What did you update 10.8.2 from exactly? 10.6.8 maybe?
