Feather radius for selection depending on the image size
Greetings everyone,
I have a question about setting the feather radius for a selection depending on the image size. I'd like make the edge in the resultant layer mask have roughly the 'same' feather appearance for varying image sizes.
For files below 2000 pixels I would set a feather radius of 0.2
For files above 2000 pixels I would set a feather radius of 0.3
However, I started working with 4000-10000 pixel images and I was wondering about the radius for those images.
Is there a more 'scientific' method I could follow? Any thoughts welcome

You would need to use Photoshop scripting to do that. Also using number of Pixels might not be what you want to use. While number pixel is an absolute number pixels you have have no size information till there is a DPI resolution involved. At 300 DPI 300 pixels are 1" in size at 72 DPI 300 pixels are 4.16 inches in size.
A conditional action is not possible adobe conditional action support but is possible with the downloadable script Siva's Contitional Action

How do I change the image size in Save for Web?
I just upgraded to Illustrator CS6 on a PC. I try to save my graphic in Save for Web and want to alter the image size, but it won't change, it just goes back to the original size. If I change the percentage box, the values change. I have tried linking and unlinking the proportions and nothing. What am I missing?? I don't have time to guess the percentage to get to the exact width I need.
Make changes in the Image Size section of the Save for Web. Input new values in Width and press Tab key to move to Height field. Click on the Link icon to unconstrain proportions. As you press the Tab key again to go out of focus of the Width and height boxes, you will see the changes reflect inside the Save for Web window. If this doesn't work then make sure you have updated Ai to 16.0.1 or 16.1.0 depending on the type of installation (from Disc or from Creative cloud) respectively.

Conditions in SQVI for amount depending upon the Debitcredit Indicator

I am new to this forum & learning. I am using SQVI for getting Information from Table BSEG. The data is getting extracted but I am unable to give any conditions for amount depending upon the Debitcredit Indicator. If it is "H" ie. Credit the Amount should change colour and if it is "S" it should be as it is.Just like in tcode MB51 when we get negative amount the Line is dispalyed in Pink and in case of Positive in Green.

You can not manipulate data in SQVI. For that you can write a query in infostructures transaction SQ01/02/03.
1. Go in SQ02, create an infoset and assign it to user-group available.
2. Inside infoset, declare table BSEG and click on button 'Extras'. here, you can write your code to multply by '-1' to a field depending upon some condition. Select 'Code' tab and code section as 'Record Processing'. Write code in window displayed.
3. In SQ01, select infoset you just created and select the query.
Execute the same and you will get required output.

How can I control the image size when I export form iphoto, the choice is too limited, I need to send a photo under 3 MB but if I choose high quaulity it is only 1.1 and i need to keep the best quaulity I can. Thanks for help.
Any image can only be as large as the Original. With a program like Photoshop you can UpRes an image and get it to a bigger size, larger files size as well, but the actual quality of the image will be degraded, depending on the UpRes system and the original quality of the image.
iPhoto is not the program to be doing that in and I don't think it even has that option.
So I suspect the image you are trying to send isn't much bigger than what you are getting. You can also try Exporting it from iPhoto to yopur desktop and see what size you end up with. If it is still that 209KB +/- file size then that is the size of the original image. -
I'm trying to make a lopping .gif from an animation that I made. It's 147 total frames. It's crashed about 6 times now every time I either try and Save for Web or even just save the document on my desktop so in case it crashes I can reopen PS and recover it. Making the image size smaller (original size is 1920 x 1080 with resolution 72) does not help, it still makes the *ding* error when I attempt to save. I made the image more than half of the original size and the Save for Web box actually came up that time, but when I tried clicking save it said there was an error and PS crashed without warning.

If the same website is opening each time you launch a browser (Safari?) hold down the shift key as you launch to prevent previous pages from opening.
Have a look at your settings in Safari > Preferences. Especially General and Privacy.

in the subsequent datatargets of your ODS:
if the requests are only rolled up, then you can delete those requests; now if your aggregates are collapsed then you'll have to dactivate them and reactivate them after. If not you can simply delete them.
then delete all the requests from your ODS up to the request right after the missing one. This will deactivate you ODS delta init. This is not a problem since when you'll have finished with the above your ODS and subsequent targets will have a consistent status in terms of data.
Reinit your ODS delta without datatransfer, reconstruct your missing request and the subsequent requests in your ODS.
Reactivate them (not all together as a single activation, but separately).
Then load the delta into your subsequent targets.
Now if the subsequent datatargets are collapsed then you'll have to either reinit with full load or selective delete them. the missing request in your ODS still must be reloaded before!
If you go for selective deletion you'll have to find the right selection criteria based on the data of your ODS. For instance if you can ensure that only a selected period is incorrect (all the ODS requests from the missing one to the last only contain data for JAN08) then you can selectively delete JAN08 from your subseq targets and perform a FULL load selecting JAN08 from your ODS.
Then perform an INIT without data transfer... you can then continue your deltas as usual....

Hello, we are interested in more information on the Image Size > Fit To option in phototshop. For example, if we open a 46x25 inch 120 dpi image and choose Fit to 4x6" does all of the resolution remain? Any links to tutorials in this area are appreciated.
Let's look at the first thing: Aspect Ratio 46W x 25H does not fit 6W x 4H exactly. You get 6W x 3.621H If we preserve Landscape Orientation and Aspect Ratio. If I set H to 4, W will be 7.36 inches, clipping your picture.
You'll have to decide on how to clip off that 1.36 inches so your picture can be 4 x 6 in order to solve that problem.
Notice I set Resample off. Throwing out pixels is destructive editing. So what I am doing is "Scaling", changing the Print Size without touch the pixels. Notice how high the resolution goes up.
To Resample or not will be your decision. I hope I answered your questions properly. Let me know otherwise.

It's in the article. You must first sign-out your current account, then go to App store to purchase a Free App. It will ask you to either Sign in or create a new AppleID. That's when you start creating a new AppleaID and NONE will be available as a payment option.

There is an eula on the main web page of Adobe that you can read. Just search for it. Be specific with the search for example eula for lightroom or eula for Photoshop CC 2014. -

PS 6 locks up when I try to use the image size tool

All the other tools seem to be working OK.
When I try to use the image size tool PS just locks up and the only way to exit the program is using Task Manager??

I have an A2500 camera. The images are great, but they're huge (1.5mb each) and fill up my memory card way too quickly. How can I use the camera's menu settings so images are stored in a smaller size?
