Feature Request: Corner Window snapping.

Question

Is this the correct forum for feature requests?
I would like to request a feature that would be extremely useful for multitasking. When you drag a window to the corner of your monitor or the upper corner of the task bar the window resizes to half the screen
width and height, and snaps to the corner.
To calculate these points you could do this:
Notes:
TL, TR, BL, BR represent the points of top left, top right, bottom left, and bottom right respectively.
var X-1=Monitor Length (in px)
var Y-1=Monitor Height (in px)
var T=Task bar Height (in px)
var B=Task bar Length (in px)
var x=point of x coordinate (from top left)
var y=point of y coordinate (from top left)
When task bar is on bottom:
TL: x=0, y=0
TR: x=X, y=0
BL: x=0, y=Y-T
BR: x=X, y=Y-T
When task bar is on top:
TL: x=0, y=T
TR: x=X, y=T
BL: x=0, y=Y
BR: x=X, y=Y

If you are primarily concerned with applications and not windows, why don't you just use "Spaces"? It's available now, and allows you to assign an application to a particular space.
These days, the behaviour of the "zoom" button appears entirely up to the developer so suggestions might be better directed toward the ones who make the "design applications" you primarily use.
But back in good old days when Macs actually were designed to be easy to use (and not just pretty to look at), there seemed to have been a convention - not strictly adhered to in all quarters but a convention nonetheless - to use the "zoom" button to fit content, but "Option" + "zoom" to "maximize". If Apple would only go back to that idea, I suspect most people would find that satisfactory...
