Field display on f4 help value selection

Hi all,
when ever user choose any value form the f4 help i want to display other two field on selection screen.as per the the f4 help value.
we can do it using radio button easily...but i want on f4 help value selection...
please help me...

First get the plant from the screen,
Then according to the palnt you get , do the select statment.
Last using FM: F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST.
Do you use dialog program or general program?
If you use dialog program, you can use POV.

create dashboard prompt with column selector functionality like following way
write the following query in your dashboard prompt sql results
select region name from subject area name

select sub_region name from subject area name
like this and put one presentation variable for this dashboard prompt like var1
in your report write formula in your column like this *case when @{var1)='region column' then 'Region Summary' else ' ' end*
and refer this column in narrative view like @1 then narrative act like a title view.

How to confiure the fields displayed in F4 help hit list?

Hi Gurus,
I got a strange issue.
Standard F4 help in PA20 displays a hit list of employees along with the details like name of the employee, his personnel number, his date of Birth and other details.
Now the customer requirement is as follows - The birth date being a confidential information should not be displyed to users. Therefore, there is a customizing request to hide this Date of Birth Field in the hit list given by F4 Help.
Can anyone suggest me where (under which node) exactlyconfigure the same in IMG?

Read a txt file, display a table of values, select a value to set min value for DAQMX

Hello everyone, I am having trouble with the following data importing. I want to do the following:
Open a txt file, have it be imported as a table. Allow the user in the GUI to select a value on the 2nd column, set that value as either min or max for a daqmx analog output. I'll attach the .txt file being used. I can add the code but I was basically using the read from text.vi example with no luck.

Thank you all, I have set up this input but I have a couple more questions. First now that I have the ability to have a mouse click to set a value, is it possible to have two events, such that the first sets a certain value and the second retains a different one?
In addition (im not sure if this would be ok to post here but for the sake of clarity and decluttering the forum I shall post it here) is it possible to switch from a constant voltage mode (in DAQMX analog output) to a waveform mode ( attacthed the binary waveform) all while maintaining a constant min value (untill updated from the table by user, which is also attached).
I have attachted a vi (Labview version 8.2) that I threw together today.

How to restrict user's inputs to F4 help Values?

Hi Experts,
I have created a custom infotype where i have a custom search help created for one of the fields, the problem is that even if i give values other than the values in the search help the infotype doesnt throw any error and gets saved.
So can anybody explain how to restrict the field only to search help values.

Transferring Search Help values from ECC 6.0 to SRM 7.0

I have a requirement to display the search help values for a data element in ECC 6.0 into the custom data element that I created on SRM 7.0.
Is there a BAPI that I can use to retrieve the values for a search help element (for example SH_ANLKA) from the the ECC into SRM?

Value help for select-option not filling selection field

I'm having some problems with a value help on a select-option. I've managed to get the value help displaying the correct values but for some reason can't get it to populate the selection field after I've selected a record.
I have the following call:

The code you have is OK. I copied your code into a test program and it worked as expected.
I used a search help where the possible values are populated in the search help exit, exactly as in your case. The only time it did not work was when read_only = X, but that is obvious also from a visual point of view since the input field is greyed out in that case. The popup also tells you is in RO mode...
Does your SHLP work when you test it from SE11? Returns values?
SAP provides a lot of WD4A sample code, see for example component WDR_TEST_SELECT_OPTIONS look for
select-option fields > special cases > input helps > Non field-specific input help using search help

Select options: Restricting Value Display in Search Help Parameters

I have following requirement.
I have declared one select option. On that select options I'am having different search help paremeters on which I can restrict the search help values display.
Can I specify the restriction in search help at the time of programming so that it would display only the values that follows the given restriction?
I can ofcourse do this by AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE REQUEST, however I am trying to avoid this.
How can I proceed?

Help to set value of an attribute based on value selected in another field

Hi all,
I want to set the value of an attribute STRUCT.ITM_TYPE to a default value whenever i select one of the value from dropdown list in LC_STATUS.
I tried to add an event in the get_p method of the lc_status but there i cant able to access the context of the ITM_TYPE as the fields are in different views.

I would like to know how I could provide the user with generic value help. I am using the Select Options in a Web Dynpro(ABAP) Application.

The key word here is "generic value help". This means the values that I want to fill the drop down with changes all the time based on various criteria. I need to fill the help values within the ABAP code based on the values in internal tables.

Selection values in query should have help values based on another field

Hi all,
I have the following requirement:
I have a query in which there are the following two filters in the
selection criteria:
1. COuntry
2. State
Based on the Country selected, the values for the State should come up
in the Help values in the slection criteria. The user then shall select from these values.
I plan to use a variable for Country with Replacemetn path as the second query whcih shall have Coutnry and States.
Is this right or can I do this in a better way? Please suggest.
