Field Name of Material Stock
HI,
I am preparing a report for which I need to know material stock at the end of any particular day. I tried to use field from T.Code MB5B, but I was unable to get technical name of that field in MB5B. So, can anyway tell me from which field I can get material stock on any particular day.

Yaa one can get stock from MD04,MMBE but what I want to know is stock on any particular date in past. I am preparing one customer specific result, for which I need to know stock of amy material on some specific date. This stock data will be processed in internal table to get the final require data. I tried MB5B but the field, which shows closing stock on any particular date, has no documentation.
So, in nutshell what I want to know the field name from which I can use to get material stock on any particular date in past.

When we display a meterial by MM03, under plant stock tab, in the last, there is description of 'Plant Stoicks in previous period'. When I see the field ' Unrestricted Use Stock', there is a value. When I press F1, it looks like its from MARD table, field VMLAB. But when I check the table, there is no value.Please suggest me the table & field name.I also tried the tables MBEWH, MARDH, MCHBH, but its no there. PLease suggest.

Can some body tell me the table name & the field name for opening stock value,
(This is when you pass the date through LSMW at initial stage and it gets sits in which table)
For ex. MB5B

SonuThere are many stock tables in SAP.
if you load unrestricted use stock with value, then the quantity is going to MARD, quantity and value to MBEW.
if material is batch managed, then stock per batch is going to MCHB, but still MARD and MBEW are updated.
if you load non-valuated stock (material type UNBW), then only MARD is updated, no MBEW entry.
and much more cases for consignment, sales order stock etc etc.
If you try to find the values more than a month after the upload, and your materials had movements, then the old stock quantity at period closing is transfered to the history tables MARDH, MBEWH.
If you load in the beginning of a month, then SAP calculates the opening stock by using the end of period stock and add/subs the material movements.Then you will not find the opening stock as a single number in any table. -

For Goods reciept documents you can search from the tables MKPF-Header: Material Document and MSEG-Document Segment: Material,
and for Invoice documents you can search in tables BKPF-Accounting Document Header and BSEG-Accounting Document Segment.
For differentiating the Accounting documents in MIRO and MIGO based on posting key and document types for GRN -document key is -WE and for MIRO document is -RE.......

While doing GR am geting document number and can see that in MB03. Now in MKPF table there is field called Customs reference number( field name # GTS_CUSREF_NO) , and after putting material document number in MKPF am getting all the detail including Customs reference number.
Now my question is where can I see the detail of Customs Reference number in material document in t code (MB03).
Any pointers

It clearly says that material group can't be changed in case you will use material master in purchase order.
So, it is clear that you can't use different material group for material master in purchase order.
For stock report, system will only show you the material group which is assigned to the material master (MARA-MATKL). System will not look into the purchase order section (like EKPO). -

2. A report for Order tracking.
3. A report, which gives PO(Purchase Order), Pricing details.
4. A report, which calculates the MATERIAL COST. It will select all the material issued for the entered service order number from stock.

What is the table name for material master change, so that I can get the old values and new values at plant level.
More specific:
I want to check the old values for Re order point and Safety stock in MRP1 and MRP2 fields in material master for many materials. Please help.Use CDPOS and CDHDR table to get the values which were changed.

RgdsThe only option to see the active table/ field name is through F1 --> Technical Information. Apart from this, you can use any 3rd part application like GUIex (INbuilt in SAP ECC 6.0 ... can be activated by clicking on the tri-color button on the top right), but you need technical knowledge to understand the information. As far consolidated list of MM tables is concerned, SAP don;t provide you the same at one place, it experience and knowledge which help you in this regard. For your immediate reference MM tables are as under :
