Field names for data element are not displayed in selection box

Hallo zusammen,
ich habe ein Selektionsfeld definiert und einen Parameter erzeugt, der auf ein Tabellenfeld verweist. Der Feldbezeichner für das Datenelement aus der Tabelle wird nun aber nicht angezeigt, sondern ausschließlich der Variablenname.
Woran kanndas liegen?

I created data elements and use them in a db table. I've added this data elements as parameters of a selection screen in a function group top include but when I test my function module with this selection screen I see only the field names and not my field captions of my data elements.
While editing report choose Goto->Text elements->Selection Texts-> select Dictionary checkebox next to your parameters ->activate. The caption will be used then.
And another question: I have defined and activated a search helper which I can call in my selection screen with F4 but I don't see the symbol behind the text-field. What is the reason?
Refer standard program DEMO_DYNPRO_F4_HELP_DICTIONARY to see various techniques of attaching input help to screen field, together with search help

Letter Templates are not displayed in selection

Hi,
We have designed one web service with the business object type Business Activity. With this web service we are going to create the Document Template.
After creating web service log in to IC MANAGER role and go to Knowledge MAnagement -> document template create screen.
Select the File Type as Microdsoft Word , object type as Business Activity and Select the created web service from the search help.
Now click on Start Designer and go to the Word Editor and Give some text and save it. It will be saved in some place on application server.
Now Log in with the Util Ic Agent role and confirm business partner.
Go to the interaction Record work centre and create or select the existing Interaction Record.
Now click on LETTERS work centre and Click on the NEW button. One pop up will be displayed. In that pop up the Document which we created through IC Manager role should be available. It is not coming in my system.
Please let me know if any config is missing or any prerequisites required to do this. This help will be highly appreciated.

Captivate 4 shortens timeline - elements are not displayed right anymore

Hi there,
I already searched the forum but couldn’t find an answer. Maybe someone of you can help me.
I have a weird problem with the timeline – in short: it changes.
I have some slides, based on imported Power Point slides. Within captivate I add some Audio (TTS), let appear images & textboxes simultaneously, add buttons etc.
Sometimes I extend the slide duration (for example when slide transition is set to automatically).
And now the problem that occurs: Captivate shortens the timeline – exactly to the length where the audio ends. Doing this causes that elements which are placed at the end of the slide are also shortened and not displayed right anymore.
This is shown in the following screenshot. On the left side of the cursor you can see an image element that normally should fade in directly after the audio ends and should stay for 4 seconds.
I couldn’t figure out when this happens. This means that I have to check every slide again to make sure that all elements are displayed right. Locking elements or the slide itself doesn't help.
Does anybody know why this happens and how to avoid this? I am using Captivate 4 and publish as an .exe or an .swf

If you click Edit > Preferences > Global > Defaults do you have the option Calculate caption timing enabled?
If so, that's likely your issue. Clear the option and your timing should stay put when you make edits.

Finding Field Name for Data in Transaction Title

Hi everyone.
I am a BW developer and I need to extract information which is available in SAP R/3's transaction title.
Here's some information:
Transaction code: ME23N
Transaction Title: Stock transport ord. 1100000000 Created by John Doe
Is there anyway to find the field name used in the above transaction title?

You can find the title information from table EKKO and T161.
Stock transport ord. -> T161-BATX based on EKKO-BSTYP and EKKO-BSART.
1100000000 -> EKKO-EBELN
John Doe -> EKKO-ERNAM

Elements are not displaying in webdynpro view's layout area

Hi All Webdynpro Experts,
Im new to abap. Im working in webdynpro.
Im facing a issue now.
By Default, I need to disable a button (u201CCreate Responseu201D) in FPM_OIF_COMPONENT WebDynpro component in CNR_VIEW. But the thing is I cannot see the any elements in the layout area.
The component configuration is /SAPSRM/WDCC_I_FPM_OIF_RFQ_BID. When I clicked this, itu2019s showing some attributes and one button called u201CStart Configuratoru201D. So now what should I do, to view the elements in the layout area. How to configure that component. So that I can set the disable attribute for create response button from the layout area itself.

Hello Rani,
when you have development rights for this component configuration, just click on the button "Start configurator". Afterwards the FPM Configuration editor is opened and you see the statically defined layout of the component configuration.
Basically the layout of FPM applications is stored within a configuration context, you have to go into the component configuration.
A customer e.g. could also do some customizing on sap delivered component configurations - this he will do in the so called admin mode. You can start this mode in several ways, e.g. when starting the FPM Configuration editor and just adding the URL-parameter sap-config-mode=X.

Split PDF and use field name for file name

I have a pdf file with 333 pages that I will be splitting into 333 separate pfd files. Each file needs a specific name that corresponds to a number located in the header of each individual page.
Splitting the pdf is easy, unfortunately I can only use a static name for part of the file name and Adobe assigns the remaining portion with: _Part1.pdf; _Part2.pdf ect.... How can I get the "_Part1" to pull in the number located in the header of each individual page?
I need to have this done before tommarow morning and there is another PDF which will be 555 files after it is split.

If I add this field above, the field does not display in the TAB I want. Meaning this field is not working.

BPS Variable-Cost Element is not displaying Text

Dear Team,
We have a peculiar issue one of the BPS Variable defined for Cost Element is not displaying text in one of the Planning Layouts.
Another variable is displaying text in another layout.
Surprisingly...when I reused the old variable in the new layout it is also not displaying the text.
Am I missing something....appreciated your quick support.

Have you check the layout Lead-Column setting? Is it set to 'Key/Description'?

Synced bookmarks can be searched for and found but many are not displayed on the complete scrollable bookmarks list.

How odd. I've a somewhat complex bookmarks menu hierarchy, perhaps two dozen folders each containing between five and fifty bookmarks as well as a sub-folder or two. All of this is synced and displayed correctly with the bookmarks tab in the app, except for some of the more recent bookmarks that not organized into folders, and are floating inside the bookmarks menu. Of thirty or so, only five appear. Yet, when I search for them within the app they are found, including several bookmarks made today. These are bookmarks contained in the bookmarks menu but not in any particular folders. Clearly they are synced, yet the entire contents of the bookmarks menu are not displayed correctly in the app. Syncing otherwise seems swift. I've less than 600 bookmarks in total. I seek not to search for specific bookmarks but to browse my entire collection, so you can sense my frustration. I'd call this a bug. Any thoughts? Thanks!

No I didn't change anything deep beneath the hood. My problem didn't apply to the URL, but to the name of the link or bookmark header or whatever you would like to call it. (When hitting Ctrl + D there is a Name field). I only got ???????? instead of chinese characters in the name. Also for e.g. www.cntv.cn ...but maybe all China is not in the whitelist either. ;-) But anyway, this was not the real problem for me.
Apparently I was wrong as after a reboot of the computer it worked. The solution seemed to be to add Chinese to the language list. I don't know why it was not enough to restart Firefox?
Now I only have problems to show chinese characters in the name field of my external link manager... But I guess it is not an issue for Mozilla.

Table & Field Name for Plan Data in CO

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me the table & field name where we can get the planned data in Cost Center Accounting and Profit Center Accounting.
I checked out the COSP(which is Totals) and COEP tables for CCA but i could find the fields only for actual data and not planned data.
Same for PCA...i checked out the GLPCT & GLPCA tables but in vain.

Search for member activities - points are not displayed correctly

Hi experts,
I have a question concerning the search for member activities. I personalized my result list and added the field points (STRUCT.Product_ID), but there the amount of the points is always displayed as zero. When going into the details of the member activity I can see that there are points booked.
Can anyone tell me why the points in the result list are not displayed correctly?

Sometimes threads are deleted if they violate the Rules of Engagement. If that happens, you'll lose points that were allocated to you. Othertimes, if you broke the rules, then it's possible that points that had been awarded could have been removed - but you should check your emails (of your registered address) to verify this. I'd guess, it's more likely you'd responded to a post that broke the rules.
Really important
1. Don't reply to posts that break the rules - you risk losing any points awarded and you risk wasting your time responding (which is probably more valuable).
2. Don't ignore rejection emails or other communications from moderators. They are followed up, and, if warnings are ignored, then accounts will be deleted. Recently, one poor soul's account was deleted, and they'd accrued over a 1000 points... they'd been copy and pasting from other sites and ignored moderator warnings.

When attempting to post an invoice against PO, the line items for the PO are not automatically displayed. When we went to the Listing of PO's and brought this up, we noticed under the "invoice"tab that the: Invoice Receipt & GR-BsdIV is checked.

Can you check delivery complete indicator in PO. It is in PO item details delivery tab.
In MIRO transaction, select the tab Purchase order/scheduling agreement, enter PO number and press enter.
Right hand side select the layout all information .

Elements Organizer 8 - some WMV are not displayed properly in the Play Video but are in Play Vide

Hello:
Elements Organizer - some WMV are not displayed properly in the Play Video but are in Play Vide on Full screen. What's the problem? Wrong codec?

Because WMV's can contain a lot of flags, like DRM, they can exhibit odd behavior, indeed.
Usually, AV files will display in their native resolution, i.e. in their set Frame Size/Aspect Ratio and with their set PAR (Pixel Aspect Ratio), but sometimes those flags are missed, or are altered by other programs.
Remember, WMV's are designed to be streaming delivery-only, and are not intended, or designed to be edited. Most NLE's (Non Linear Editors) will allow them to be edited, but will require extra processing to do so. As is mentioned, WMM is designed around editing that delivery-only format, but most others are not.
There are many other formats/CODEC's, that ARE designed to be edited by the vast majority of NLE's, such as DV-AVI Type II's.
The best workflow is to NOT bring WMV's into the mix, unless one is using WMM exclusively. Converting those to an easily editable format/CODEC will always be the best course of action.

Fixed values of dynamic attributes are not displayed for bid response

I have created a bid with dynamic attributes and have weighted the options with fixed values. I publish the Rfx (bid) and all is ok. The problem is that the fixed values are not displaying when doing a bid response.
We are using SRM 7.0

No. Not yet. I think it is a bug. You should create an OSS message to SAP and ask them to pay special attention to the following code block:
Class: /SAPSRM/CL_CH_WD_DODM_DYNATTR
Method: /SAPSRM/IF_CLL_MAPPER~REFRESH
At the end of the method, look for code context:
IF lv_object_type = c_qte.
*Set the Fixed Values Table to Invisible
lv_visible = abap_false.
