Field Selection Settings

When we do the Field selection Settings for the Maintenacne Orders, it is possible to do the setting on the Order type,
Means for one Order type certains fields are available for input but for another order type the same field which are available for input are in Display condition.

Yes u can do it ,
example goto OIAN -->Select Modifiable Fields -->double click on any field example , double click on  Equipment no -->gives u new screen here put cursor on Order type -->Select New values at left top -->Enter content as PM01 or other and select the options ..save and check up , now that setting will be applicable for PM01 order type only

    Hi,
    There are three transactions which help define the list of mandatory, optional, suppressed and finally display only fields during vendor maintenance.
    These are,
    OMSG -> Define Account Groups and Field Selection( Vendor)
    OMFK -> Define Screen Layout Specific to Purchasing Organizations
    OMSX -> Define Transaction-Dependent Screen Layout.
    All these settings are independently maintained.
    In case of conflicting settings, say for example, Field Name 1 is made mandatory with tcode OMSG, but suppressed with tcode OMFK, how does the Vendor transaction(XK01, FK01, MK01) behave.
    How are these conflicts resolved ?. Is there any order of precedence.

    If both purchasing organizations have separate account group then you can very well achieve in customizing otherwise you need to control it in exit SAPMF02K

  • Transaction SE16: Field selection (User-Specific Settings) is NOT working for ALL tables

    Hi Guru’s,
    I have an issue in Transaction SE16, Field selection (User-Specific Settings) is NOT working in Tables (ALL tables).
    Following is the screenshot attached for your kind reference,
    That is in the initial screen of transaction SE16 if I choose Filed Name or Filed Label only the technical details (Field Names) are appearing and not the descriptions like Client, Purchasing Doc, and Company Code Doc. Category Document Type etc…
    Right now I am using ECC6 and EHP7 SAP system.
    Please help me to resolve this issue by implementing any OSS note or User Role creations or any technical changes required in system.
    Hope the requirement is clear and in case need any clarification please revert back.
    NOTE: Right now in Development System we don’t have any successful user to compare the settings.

    Following is my BASIS team response,

  • Field Selection error for movement type and G/L account

    I am currently experiencing a field selection error between movement type 601 and G/L account 7140000.  The problem field is 'Segment'.  This field is set to required for the G/L account, but it is hidden for the movement type 601. This inconsistency causes an error when posting the goods movement. According to business requirement the field must be required for the G/L account, therefore we must make this field optional for the movement type.
    However, in configuration the field segment does not appear for the movement type 601. Therefore it can not be changed to optional.
    Does anyone know a workaround other than making this field optional for the G/L account because the business requirement is to have this field as required?????

  • FIELD SELECTION FOR MOVEMENT TYPE AND ACCOUNT

    Hi,
           I am trying to do the Post Goods Issue (PGI).
    But, the system is throwing an error as mentioned below.
    Field Selection for Movement Type 901 / Account 4070000001 differs for Customer Goods Movement (015)
    I made the Cost Center as Required Entry. But, there was no effect on the PGI.
    I could not make out the exact error.
    Please guide me properly in this regard and do the needful.

    On the Error message detail, system will guide you to the Configuration details for Field settings for Movement type & Account, please get in touch with your FI consultant, to make the Field selection for the account similr to that of your movement type, this is a very common issue.

  • Field Selection for Open Item Clearing

    In Field Selection for open item clearing (t-code : O7F1),
    can I maintain non standard field such as "XREF3" (Reference KEY 3) ?
    I tried to insert "KIDNO" into O7F1 and system allowed it.
    But when I checked in F-51, the XREF3 (Reference KEY 3) was not in the field selection.
    Have anyone get the same issue?

    Check the following config path for relevant settings-
    Financial Accounting (New) > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable  > Business Transactions  > Open Item Clearing > Make Settings for Processing Open Items > Choose Selection Fields
    Select customer , vendor etc as per requirement.

    This customizing setting is for the T-code IE07. You can customize view of IE07 in different strcuture with required fields wants to didplay or suppress.

    Hello,
    The field status are set up in two places.
        - on G/L account ( Tcode: FS03 - display, Tcode: OB14 Maintain )
        - on account assignment category in purchasing (Tcode: OME9)
          Both settings must fit to each other. If not, you receive error message ME 045 says that G/L account cannot be used.
          'Earmarked fund' should never be 'Req. Entry in G/L account's field status group setting.
          Because the MIGO document will not store 'earmarked fund' therefore no earmarked fund in accounting document either.
    For further information and guidance, take assistance of FI consultant in your team.

  • Service Entry field selection

    Hi Experts,
    In Service Entry sheet, we need one particular field to be editable after final release also.
    I tried the options with field selection in External Service Mgmt for u201Crelease indicator Ex: Bu201D. But none of the settings make the field editable after release.
    Is there any other control/settings required?

    I want to know the difference between Field Selection Keys AKTH, ME21, and ME21N.
    I have observed during Testing that, AKTH and ME21N are almost the same.
    But, I like to know the difference.
    Which is to be used when?

    Go through following information.
    Field selection key: -
    You should not delete the field selection keys listed below, which the dialog program uses for control purposes, otherwise the dialog may terminate during processing:
    1. Field selection key: transaction
    The field selection key that corresponds to the transaction code: for example, field selection key ME22 for the transaction "Change Purchase Order". For the Enjoy Purchase Order transactions (creating, changing, displaying), there is only field selection key ME21N.
    2. Field selection key: activity type
    Is set from the activity type as follows:
    AKTH    In creation mode
    AKTV    In change mode
    AKTA    In display mode
    AKTE    With PO extension
    You should note that you can also add items in change mode (for example, transaction ME22). Field selection key AKTH would be used for this item.
    3. Field selection key: purchasing document type
    The field selection key that you have assigned to the document type for the purchasing document. For example, field selection key UBF is assigned to document type UB, which is used for stock transfer orders (within a company code). In this key, the fields Price and Price unit are suppressed.
    4. Field selection key: item category/document category
    This is determined from the item and document categories as follows: The first two characters consist of the letters 'PT', the third character of the item category (internal representation), and the fourth of the document category:
    A   for RFQs,
    B   for purchase requisitions
    F   for purchase orders
    K   for contracts
    L   for scheduling agreements
    Accordingly, field selection key PT3F would be used for a subcontracting item in a purchase order.
    Field selection key: function authorization/release status
    Purchasing documents: Used for authorization control. If the user parameter EFB (function authorizations in Purchasing) has been assigned and a field selection key has been assigned to the relevant value, this field selection key is used. Otherwise, field selection key $$$$ is used if the user has insufficient authorization to display prices.
    Purchase requisitions: If the purchase requisition is subject to a release strategy and a field selection key has been assigned to the current release indicator, this field selection key is used.
    Field selection key: subitem/creation indicator
    Purchasing documents: Is only used in the case of subitems. The field selection key is put together in the same way as for the item categories (field selection key 4), with the string 'UP', the subitem category, and the document type.
    Purchase requisitions: the field selection key that is derived from the creation indicator in the purchase requisition, that is, ESTV, ESTF, or ESTD, is used in the case of purchase requisitions generated from within Sales and Distribution, from a production order, or through direct procurement.
    5. Field selection key: purchase requisition
    In addition to the available field selection keys, you can define a field selection key at function authorization level to influence the input characteristics of fields in the Enjoy Purchase Requisition.
    You can use this field selection key to set up groups of users that have certain restrictions when editing purchase requisitions.
    SAP Recommendation: -
    SAP recommends that you accept the settings defined in the standard system. In this case, no action is required on your part.

  • Field selection issue in dev & quality server for PO

    Dear All,
    I have an issue regarding PO field setting in development and quality server.
    Requirement was that PO can not be created without PR (means PR is mandatory) for a particular document type ZDOM.
    So i have created new field selection filed by copying NBF field selection and assigned with document type ZDOM.
    So when i am testing this scenario in DEV server it is working fine but after transporting to Quality server, it is not working in q system.
    Again i reimpoted the same request but still it is not working. So what could be the reason?
    Pls refer the attached screen short.

    I have done the same settings in my development client. But I can still create PO without reference PR.
    Then I have tried parameter EFB. Then its working perfect..
    Use buyers authorization in OMET..
    Check the settings..
    Here untick the option W/o Reference..
    Then assign the profile to user id in SU3.
    Then try to create PO without PR.. You will receive a authorization error...
    But the problem is its user level not at client level..
    Test and revert back..

    I can create only overall profiles in COISN tcode .Please advice me where can we create Object profile and field profile and assignment of the same to overall profile .
    My purpose of defining above profiles is I wish to incorporate a field name resource in the seperate column with including the list of fields which is showing currently in COIO order header (here we can not find resource untill drill down) .For acheiving the same I think I can define new field profile and assigning that one to object profile , and thus I can able to select the desired object profile after executing the COIO order header --> settings --> select profile . Please suggest me if I am wrong and also the other transaction codes

  • Material number mandatory (field selection) based on acc. ***. category

    Hy Folks,
    i am looking for a solution to define the Material Number as a mandatory field if the Account Assignment Category "Q" is used in a Purchase Order Item. Field Selection of Account ASsignment category Q is not sufficient as the material number is not included.
    Any ideas for a solution in SAP standard customizing? (sure, user exit will be possible...)

    With settings in SPRO this is not possible you have to go for exits or BADI take help of ur ABAP er.

  • MIGO field selection

    Dear friends ,
    I'd like to know how the " Influencing"  field works @ MIGO field selection !
    could someone provide an explanation about the field selection with "Influencing"  configuration ?
    when I hit the button [Influencing]  other field appear called " Content"  and this content means ?

    Just go to migo screen, where u can see above to item colum and next to delete dust bin icon as "contents" its  copy cell contents purpose. 
    F1 notes given as per blw for content;
    User group for field selection
    Indicates the user group for field selection in the MIGO transaction (goods receipt from external procurement).
    Use
    In Customizing for Inventory Management, you can adjust the field selection for header and detail fields as well as table columns.

  • CATS Field selection screen

    Hi,
    In CATS field selection screen -> Screen groups -> under work list and Data entry selection, I have chosen the fields Network, Activity Type, Activity, Sender Cost center, Plant, Total and Short text to be displayed / input.
    Out of these in CAT2, I am able to view only Activity and Total under Worklist area and Sender cost center and Total in Data entry screen...
    Why is this so and wat could be the error.... 
    Note : I did configurations under Settings for CATS for Service Providers node.

    Check whether you have maintained the same data entry profile for yourseelf , under which you have saved  the fields list.
    CAT2 view depends on the data entry profile chosen for the user.
