"FILE CORRUPTED" error message on N 78
My phone is a Nokia N78 and my problem is as followed:
Before updating the firmware from version 12 to version 20, I had google maps installed. After updating over the air, google maps (and also several other apps) got removed. When i tried to download and install google maps again and tried to install it again, it keeps saying "file corrupted". The same goes with other apps i try to download and install. But I have no trouble installing java apps.
I am wondering if anyone knows how to solve this problem?

you are very welcome i am so glad that you got your issues sorted. i know how frustrating it can be to have a phone and potentially no 'way out'. been there and done that, that is why i joined this forum i wanted to learn more and find more answers to some questions. technology in general can be frustrating and its ever changing so we have to keep up or we will drown in frustration be well, rad.
ps. and you are correct, i am no expert, my solution is not expert either more of a been down this road solution. i am just another user on this forum that sometimes gets the right answer

I was having serious problems displaying images/video, so uninstalled so I could reinstall. Big mistake - ever since I've done this, FF absolutely won't install. The normal install .EXE(I'm using Windows 7) always gets to about a millimeter to the left in the status bar of where it crosses from "downloading" to "installing." I then tried the full installer in all 3 versions of English, all of which simply pop up a window saying "file is corrupt" with no explanation or options. Please help. I just used stellar phoenix mac data recovery and it seemed to work but now my files won't open. Even though they are "jpeg, mov" files, the error message is "could not be opened". The movie's file format isn't recognized. " Any help or are they corrupted?
Sounds to me like the file is probably corrupt. If you had hard drive corruption or damage, that could easily result in recovered files not being fully intact. If you were trying to recover accidentally deleted files, it's possible they might have been partially overwritten before recovering. There are never any guarantees with file recovery.
Without more information on the circumstances that led you to try recovery, it's hard to give advice on what to try from here. You could always try another file recovery tool, like Data Rescue 3. Just be sure you're taking appropriate precautions when doing recovery. See Recovering deleted files. -

Ca'nt ftp longer (i.e. 4 minutes) flv or f4v files (get error message "waiting for server") I
when I ftp(i.e. "put" or "upload) short flv or f4v files using dreamweaver cs4 the files upload easily and quickly. However, when I try to ftp ("put" or "upload" ) longer (i.e. 4 minutes or longer) flv or f4v files it goes through the ftp process (seeing it in background activity screen) but at the end I always get a message "waiting on server" and the longer files don't get onto hosting server. Is there a setting I need to change or other method I need to use). I have worked with my hosting support tech person but we could not solve this problem.
I'd suggest that you try using a dedicated FTP program like Filezilla or SmartFTP.

Those programs give you much more feedback on what's happening as you attempt to upload files, including error messages, etc.
There is really no difference between uploading large files and small files, the process on the server is exactly the same..UNLESS there are limits to file size or video duration set by your host. So dispite the fact that you have worked with your host support, I'd still say that the problem is server side or being limited by your Internet service provider... unless the video files you are attempting to upload are corrupted.
You didn't say if any portion of the larger video files were uploaded...and FTP program will show you whether or not ANY of the file was uploaded and at what point it stopped. You also didn't mention how large the video files where.... sort of where the "tipping point" is in file size (video duration of course is no measure of file size).
Just to reassure you, the file size of a video file will have no bearing on your ability to FTP unless your host or ISP is limiting you in some way.
I regularly Live stream events and also record them. An 8 hr event will produce roughly 1.5GB of compressed video. I use SmartFTP, with a reputable host and can upload the entire set of 1.5GB of video files (each about 50MB) over a 1000kbps upload connection without problem. Recently during a movie production project, we uploaded a number of single video file which each where over 1GB a piece.
So there is really no problem uploading video files unless there are restriction on you account from the host or the ISP.

N79: "File Corrupted" error while installing .sis/...

I have been using Nokia N79 since Dec 15, 2008. I am facing problem while installing software with .sis/.sisx extension [for example fringe, putty and so many different softwares]. Everytime it's showing "File Corrupted" error, even if I download the software from Nokia Authorized sites. Please note My Application Manager settings are as follows: Software Installation: All, Online Certification Check: Off, Deafault Web Address: Nil. Installing files with other extensions [except .sis/.sisx] are ok with me.
Please help me in this regard, as it's becoming really painful for me day by day.

Shaheenif you download things from sites like mosh etc, those files sometimes do get corrupted. it is best if you actually try to download them from the source and the ones that you can install via pc, install via pc maybe that will make a difference for you. you can go to fring site and fring will send you a text message, now once you open the link this app should download without any problems. and yes your are right it is highly unlikely that it is a hardware issues. try that and report back.

Installing CS3 I get 'Installer Database is Corrupt' error message. I have done a clean install upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium to W7 Professional and get this message. Program was working fine before the upgrade. 64 bit version of Windows.
The disc I have is an upgrade from earlier versions.Delete the caps.db in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\caps, then try again.

When I hook my ipod up to my mac I used to get the Itunes has detected an ipod that appears to be corrupted error message. It would then sync all my song to the ipod but when I ejected it, none of the songs would be on the ipod. Now I hook it up and I get the Mac OS X can't repair the disk error message. Then the spinning colored pinwheel pops up and I can't use iTunes. Please HELP!!!!!!
Sounds like your iPod is broken. Take it to Apple or someone else who repairs iPods and see if you can get it fixed, or get it replaced.

Hello All,
Using Adobe Mobile Packager and a swf files, i created a package for the Symbion Phones which is a self signed .sis file. When i tried installing it to the phone.......it gave an error "File Corrupt Error" .
Any guesses for the error?????
Also, the .swf file was created using CS3 suite. I don't know if this is a silly question........but can Adobe Mobile packager create package for swf files created using CS3........or is it only for .....CS4???????
Would appreicate all replies or any kind of help for this issue.

H.R.I don't use adobe mobile packager for this purpose; however there are some basic things to worry about during packaging so that your file won't be corrupted:
1> Did you Entered Correct UID order for an edition (2nd or 3rd Editions)?
2> Did you create .key and .cer files ? (key and certificate) ?
3> Did your Swf run normally in the mobile phone before packaging ?
4> Did you make sure you entered a valid path for your application to be installed during extraction ? -
Wrong CAP file version error message
I'm trying to write a loader application that will send a CAP file into JavaCard, and then install it automatically.
I have developed my JavaCard Applet by using Eclipse3.1.0 and JCOP30.
After running my JavaCard Applet by Eclipse, I got its CAP file in folder [b\bin\FVSCardPkg\javacard\[/b]
But when I run my loader application with this CAP file, the error message will display:

Thank you in advance.I'm not understanding if your cap file is in "b\bin\FVSCardPkg\javacard\", then why are you loading "D:/MyCardPkg.cap"?
The issue isn't with your off card application, but the cap file version. Look at the cap file components in JCVM specification. I believe it's the Header component. The major, minor should match your card but not greater. In other words, your can't load a 2.2 on a 2.1 card, but a 2.1 can load on a 2.2 -

When connecteed to i tunes "files corrupt" error
My ipod plays fine, but when connecting to iTunes, I get a file corrupt error. I don't have backup for some of the songs on the ipod so I wish to fix this issue without restoring. Any suggestions?

Hi,
I'm working to resolve an issue that a user is experiencing, so any help would be appreciated.
The steps to cause the issue are as follows:
1. User creates a word doc and a pdf
2. User encrypts the word doc with the encryption within Microsoft Word
3. User attachs both documents to an email
4. User marks the email to trigger the outbound email encryption on the Ironport
5. Email is encrypted as normal
6. The recipient indicates that when they try to open the files, the pdf throws a file corrupted error
This doesn't seem to happen when the Microsoft Word encryption isn't used.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!I have tested this on my lab systems. I created a password protected Word file and attached that and a PDF to an email that was then encrypted and both the PDF and the Word doc opened correctly. Details:
- Word doc saved in .doc format
- Envelope encryption using no password option
- Envelope opened using open online (i.e. without Java applet)
- AsyncOS 8.0.0-550
- opening environment Win 8 64 bit IE 10
I can attach the resulting envelope file for your user to test if that would help.

Library file corrupt - error 1450
I have had some irritating problems with iTunes since installing the new 7.3.1 version last week.
The error message I got originally was:
The iTunes Library file cannot be saved.
An unknown error occurred {-1450}
I have uninstalled and re-installed the program, but the error continues when I re-import the music folder. The music appears in the "Music" folder in iTunes, but the same error as above occurs when iTunes is trying to process the album Artwork. I have tried deleting the tracks that the error comes up on, but the error continues on other tracks, apparently at random.
Please can you give me some advice to fix this problem, as iTunes and my iPod is pretty unusable at present.
