  • IDOC to File : "no interface found"

    Hi all,
I have an IDOC to file scenario and I'm getting the error "no interface found" at sxmb_moni. The scenario is only for test purposes, very simple, using the IDOC /ISDFPS/T01./ISDFPS/T0101. I have configured
    -> receiver and interface determination
-> receiver agreement with the receiver channel for file output.
Receiver interface (sender) is /ISDFPS/T01./ISDFPS/T0101 and receiver agreement I configured the inbound interface to /ISDFPS/T01./ISDFPS/T0101 (same interface, no mapping needed).
I don't know why I'm getting "no interface found" error... Some tips?
    thanks!

  • "The iPod **** cannot be updated. The required file cannot be found" Error

    Hello,
Upon doing a 'zero-all bits' reformatting of my 5G iPod with Disk Utility and using the 'Restore' feature in iTunes 7, every time I sync my iPod with iTunes, I get an error message after the sync in the form of
"The iPod ** cannot be updated. The required file cannot be found"
and photos, contacts, and calendars are not synchronizing. I tried a second 'Restore' attempt but to no avail. Previous to reformatting my 5G iPod, I've not seen this error message.
I would be grateful if someone could offer any clues. Many thanks.

    A little update.
Upon reinstalling iTunes 7, deleting my iTunes-related .plist files, and reparing permissions on my hard drive, I can now sync my contacts and calendars with my 5G iPod.
As for Photos, the "required file cannot be found" error seems to be due to the default setting in the 'Photos' tab, 'Sync photos from:' pull-down menu to 'iPhoto'. If I choose my 'Pictures' folder, photo synchronizing works, albeit including everything in my iPhoto library, including originals and modified versions of the photos.
I can only surmise that the default setting for synchronizing photos is somehow buggy in iTunes 7. I guess I'll just wait for an update.

  • "required file cannot be found" error message

    hi everybody,
i recently just purchased an ipod video 5th edition. i plugged it into the computer and immediately tried adding my music collection. everything seemed to be working fine until about 20 some odd songs into the syncing process when i got this message: "required file cannot be found". my ipod had completely frozen, responding only to the "menu click wheel" hard reset. so i tried the syncing process again, and again, the same error came up. i tried syncing manually with different songs, but eventually the error came up again. there isn't a specific song that triggers the error.
since then i have tried rebooting, reinstalling itunes, trying different USB ports, and restoring my ipod, but nothing has worked. at this point, my patience is running out and i have no idea what to do. any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

  • "This file cannot be found" error message when saving document

    Hello,
Strangely, every time I click "save" in CS6 it opens up a 'Save As' window, (which shouldn't happen), then I click save witht the existing file name (it then tells me the doc already exists), I click OK, (and then OK to the next popup window) then get the message that "This file cannot be found".  I'm forced to click "ok" and the doument isn't saved.  I've tried saving it differently in previous versions and it still doesn't work.  I recorded a video of this behavior. You can see it here - http://screencast.com/t/W1GYK0zsrk
Why would it be trying to find a file?  It seems like an error message when trying to Open a doc, not Save a doc.
Please HELP!!  I can't shutdown my station until I get the document to save.

    Yes, Mohit1233 - it happened with every file yesterday. Finally, I closed the doc (forcing me to lose my work), then restarted my computer and today the problem is gone. I'm working on a PC (HP);
Barblove - I tried doing that yesterday (copying and pasting into a new doc), and still nothing. I also tried copying the work into a CS3 doc (but got an error message).

  • "This file cannot be found" error.

    Folks:
I have a user who all of a sudden yesterday started getting an error message every time he tried to open any PDF:  "There was an error opening this document.  This file cannot be found."
The file CAN be opened using Windows 8's PDF viewer.  It CAN be opened if he opens it from within Acrobat (i.e., File | Open).  But when he double-sclick the icon in File Explorer, he gets that error message.
I tried Repairing the installation, but no success.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks.

  • Unable to update Genius - "required file cannot be found" error

I am getting an error "Genius results can't be updated right now. The required file cannot be found. Please try again later" when I try to update Genius. I get this error in Step 3: Delivering your Genius results. It gets passed first 2 steps fine.
Seems to have started when I upgraded to Windows 7 and reinstalled iTunes 9.0.3. Upgrading to 9.1 didn't help.
I know there have been many posts about Genius updates issues, but I saw only ones with "network connection timed out" or "Unknown" errors. Required file cannot be found when updating Genius seems new.
Tried deleting iTunes Library Genius and iTunes Library Extras and returning on Genius. Doesn't work. Tried rebuilding iTunes Library, doesn't work.
    Any ideas?

+The required file cannot be found....+
+Seems to have started when I upgraded to Windows 7....+
I suspect it's Windows 7 permissions. Instead of not being able to find the required file, maybe itunes doesn't have permission to create it or delete it.
I have watched my itunes folder while itunes updates genius. It creates some temporary journal files and then deletes them. If your windows userID doesn't have full control & ownership of the itunes folder, it might be having trouble with these temporary files, or the genius & extra itdb files.
Go into Windows Explorer. Make sure your window userID has *full control* and ownership of the itunes folder and all its subfolders. Be sure to restart itunes after changing permissions, so itunes will read the new settings.
If still no joy, the next step I'd try woud be to temporarily turn off UAC, and see if itunes can update genius.

  • I am getting the "Original File Cannot Be Found" error with 4000 exclamation points.  Please help...

To start from the beginning I originally kept my iTunes library on my internal hard drive.  However, it was getting large and I needed to move it so I moved it to an external drive.  Then I recently upgraded my internal hard drive to a 1 TB hard drive so that I would have plenty of space for everything.  I then moved my iTunes library to the new drive, or so I thought.  It is all technically there.  (As you can see from the bottom screen shot.)  However, for some reason iTunes is looking in the trash for a good portion of my library.  (I have 4400+ songs and 4000+ of them are showing the exclamation point and this error.)  I know that I must have done all of the moving around incorrectly.  (I followed directions from some blog I googled, big mistake.)  Now I just want to get my library how it should be.  All back together on this new internal drive with no dups etc.
I have over 4000 songs giving me this error.  I can go in one by one on each song and find it in the iTunes Media folder.  But I certainly don't want to do it that way.  Here is the info on where the song(s) seem to be currently:
Here's a shot of my preferences:
Just FYI, I know that apparently iTunes is looking for this music in the trash.  However, if I go here:
Then I find the music there as well.  (Which is where it is in my preferences.)
Please help!  I don't want to have to go through over 4000 songs and update them one by one.  The music is apparently in both the trash and in my iTunes media folder.  How do I get iTunes to look for these 4000+ songs in the right place without going in one by one to fix them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

    Hi JJuniper,
When tracks in iTunes display a it means the file cannot be located; it may have been moved or deleted. For this issue, we will need to refer to the following article:
iTunes: Finding lost media and downloads
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1408
Alternatively, if your media was downloaded from the iTunes Store, you may be able to download it again free of charge. You'll want to first delete the tracks from your list in iTunes, then access the purchased page:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
    Thanks,

ANY windows computer; I am using win 7, 8.1 and 10

run QuickTime as an administrator and all is good.

Tried running QuickTime Player as Administrator, and it runs just fine now. This wasn't necessary until the latest update to QT.

  • Another "there was an error opening this document. this file cannot be found"-question

Hello people, as the title suggests, i have another question regarding the "there was an error opening this document. this file cannot be found" error. I have searched on Google and on these forums but i havent found an answer to my particular case (sorry if i overlooked it).
I work at a supportdesk for a company that uses Windows XP with Adobe Reader version 8.1.3.
Users are getting this error when they access a PDF file placed on a (mapped) networkdrive. Contrary to some other cases i have found on this forum, spaces are handled without a problem. But a comma in the name of one of the folders that contain the PDF file are what causes this error.
    i.e.:
Opening the following path results in the error:
    L:\X, Y & Z\adobe.pdf
Removing the comma so the path becomes:
    L:\X Y & Z\adobe.pdf
    works just fine.
So far our workaround has always been to simply remove the comma and move on, but I've been wondering why this comma is such a problem for Adobe Reader. As far as i know Adobe Reader is the only program we use that has this issue, M$ Word works just fine with it to name an example.
    To sum my questions up:
    - Why is comma (,) a problem for Adobe Reader?
    - Have i missed any patches/new versions where this issue has been addressed?
    - What is Adobe's stance on this, and are there any plans to "fix" this?

Ok, nevermind, we just found the problem
It's not Adobe Reader that is causing this, but another program the company uses to manage/distribute/authorise programs that users are allowed to access (Scense). I had never even considered another problem could have caused this for Reader.

  • Just updated itunes, now "cannot be synced, the required file cannot be found." Help?

Just as the question stated. I recently updated itunes to the newest update. My ipod and the PC no longer like each other, it seems. I get the "cannot be synced, required file cannot be found" error. Help?

Ok, this error cleared up after unchecking all my photos. However, I have a large number of videos I want to add...and it only adds like 6 of them. (1) This is not a size issues as they've added in the past (2) The purple bar for the video component at the bottom only seems to include those videos it deems good enough to add, I guess. So even when the videos I want are checked, it ignores this. (3) The videos are properly named, in the correct format, and in the right folders (ie. not moved.) I don't  know what to do here! I just want to watch my videos on my ipod =(

  • Help!  needed original file cannot be found

I move the whole iTunes files to a new computer. I can see all the songs. I purchase a new songs and connect my ipod mini to add to my ipod. I am getting "song could not be used because original file cannot be found" error message. What is wrong?
    Alex

    Alex,
Are these the newly purchased songs, or songs you moved to a new computer? Do they have ! next to them? Double click on one as if to play it in iTunes, if that ! comes up and a dialogue window to tell you that iTunes cannot locate the file, you will get the option to search for it.
If you do that and iTunes still cannot locate it, it's my guess that something went amiss when you moved them to your new computer.
You said you "moved the iTunes files", but did that include your iTunes music folder?
And Alex, it's always best when posting to include details of your computer system.

  • WVC210 "File Not Found" error in IE9

When attempting to access a WVC210 camera using IE9, I get a "File Not Found" error. I've updated the firmware on the camera to V1.1.1.15, and have reset the camera to factory defaults.  Under "Downloaded controls" in IE, it indicates that the Linksys210Viewer Control is enabled.  I can assess the camera just fine using Firefox, but not with IE9.

I have had this exact same error on two different cameras. I installed the upgrade from a Windows 7 machinge on camera A. I can access the camera A from Windows 8 (with full functionality), mac and iPhone. But not Windows 7 (IE9). For camera B, I installed the upgrade using my Windows 8 machine. I can access the web interface for camera B from Windows 7, mac and iPhone, but NOT from the machine I installed from.
I believe this is a browser issue, and have not completed the troubleshooting. BUT, this should give you enough information to go into your IE9 and determine what may have changed. If you resolve before me, please post.
    Thanks!

  • There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found

An automation script on one of our QA environments kept tripping on the error: "There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found".  The same script ran fine against our Production servers (hint, which were "whitelisted").
It took a little time to resolve/trace what was happening (but with the aid of ProcessMonitor and tracing all "pdf"-related file activity...)
The problem lies squarely between McAfee (75%), Adobe (20%) and Microsoft (5%):
NORMAL WORKFLOW.  IE (Internet Explorer) when popping a PDF document, has to (1) write the document to the IE cache, then (2) launching and "handing off" the document reference to the Adobe viewer (which might then be able to open the document, et al) -- assuming largely a "synchronous" workflow.
BUT "WAIT", HOLD THE HORSES -- McAfee takes ownership and decides infact "wait for us" (during the workflow), it wants to first perform a virus scan on the document (ahead of writing the document to cache) involving potentially large latency (delay) before making the document available to the system. However, instead of "fessing up"-that their scan may be taking too long, McAfee appears to have taken their work "off-line" in violation of the sychronous interface above. I'm guessing the developers at McAfee might have been trying to hide any extra processing overhead being incurred by assuming they could somehow convert this to an "asychronous" event.  (This may also have more reach than just PDF's.)
Unfortunately, the browser's "PDF OPEN"-dialog box pops allowing Adobe to launch-and-open the "as-yet-not-virus-scanned-and-thus-not-yet-cached"-document. Thus clicking the OPEN-button will cause the related "...FILE NOT FOUND"-error to be seen (because the file is still in McAfee "limbo").
Note: If you close the ADOBE reader (but don't yet close the popup-OPEN-dialog) you can click OPEN a second time and it will probably now open the document - which McAfee finally finished scanning!
You can observe all these interactions with ProcessMonitor, and use the monitored file states to adjust the timings of events to reproduce both the failure and non-failure scenarios.
    - Best Regards, Ziggy
ps. My assessed distribution of "ownership" of the problem is because ALL these parties should be aggressively resolving this for the customer-base!

What, exactly, were you trying to do when you got it, and how?

  • When I call VI on Linux from Teststand on Windows using TCP/IP I get "file not found error".any sugeestions?

I am trying to execute a VI running on Linux from Teststand running on windows 2000 prof ,both running on two different machines.I used TCP/IP for the interface using the following steps on Labview VI:tools>options>VIserver>TCP/IP and gave the ip address of both the machines. When I gave the file path as c:\home\test.vi in Edit labview Vi call window(the Vi in linux is stored in /home/test.vi)and also in remote vi path:/home/test.vi,I get a file not found error. The teststand version is 3.0 and labview is 7.0.Any idea why this is happening and any solutions?

    priya guru,
Here is a knowledge base that addresses your question: How do I call test VIs that reside on a non-Windows platform from TestStand?
You also need to set TCP/IP Access found in Tools->Options->'VI Server: TCP/IP Access'. Make sure that you list the IP address in the Access List to allow TCP/IP access to that machine. Finally you need to specify which VIs are accessible to remote applications. Open up Tools->Options->'VI Server: Exported VIs' and provide paths to the VIs you wish to be remotely accessible.
I have attached an example VI that demonstrates VI Server in action. Please post back if you are still having problems. Good luck!
