File sent by bluetooth from laptop

Hello!
I sent a file (blablabla.rtf) from a laptop to my Nokia N82 by bluetooth. I get this file in my phone as a message in Inbox messages folder with Bluetooth icon. When I opened this message I see rich text instructions.
Where can I find this file in my phone? How can I save an attachment from this strange bluetooth message?
I sent this message as EMail and got EMail message on my desktop computer as rich text instructions in the body of message without any attachments.
Why can't I send a file from a laptop to my phone by bluetooth anf get it as a file, not as message?
Thanks in advance!

Hello:
I don't use it, but iCloud should allow you do do something like you wish.
You cannot use Bluetooth to transfer files.

My Office Print Pro 8600 Plus will not print pdf files sent to it from an iPad using ePrint.  I just get an error message when I go to the  HP Eprint centre.  It does print the cover e-mail but nothing else.  The attachment is not secure as far as I can see.  I have tried sending an attachment from my Mac and that worked fine.

    Hello krnkln3.
Are you trying to send the PDF as an attachment in an e-mail sent to the ePrint e-mail address of the printer or are you trying to print using the ePrint app?
Try sending the same PDF document to the printer's ePrint e-mail address and let us know if that works. If this works but using the ePrint app is not working, maybe the ePrint app is not working fine with this PDF document (it could be due to it's size or something else). Remember that you can always use the e-mail ePrint address of the printer to send PDF documents as the processing is happening at the HP servers and not in your iPad as when you try to send it using the ePrint app.
    Cheers!

  • Sending file with bluetooth from laptop to phone

I am having great difficulty sending file from laptop to phone using bluetooth. I can send files from phone to laptop.
I have followed the instructions from this link: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bluetooth .
also i am using xfce4 as my Desktop Environment.
any other help would be greatly appreciated.

The thing is, this is not the topic you started, so it is solved . The OP used Xfce, and I linked him to a solution on how to do so - on Xfce. So yes, it is solved. He's the only one to say so. As you say, your problem is different, so you might want to bump your own topic instead .

  • .WMV files sent via Bluetooth

I am trying to send a .WVM file from my computer via Bluetooth to my N73.
The message is recvd but when I trry to open it i get the message "Unknown File Format"
Any ideas how to get 'round the problem to open the message.

"MP4" is an ambiguous term. For exact audio and video codecs, as well as bitrates, resolutions see the table here:

  • SLOW load when file sent to CS3 from LR

I have recently purchased a new PC w/Vista installed. I was using LR and CS3 and all was going well for a while. When selecting a file from LR that I wanted to edit in CS3, it would load in CS3 almost instantly. I was so thrilled because it used to take quite a while under my old machine. Now, all of a sudden, when I chose to edit a file in CS3, it can take up to a minute or more to get the file to open. While it's trying, my CS3 will show as (Not Responding) in the title bar, then the picture will finally open up. Also, nothing seems to open up in Camera Raw anymore. Yes, I know that LR has CR "embedded" in it, but what if I still want to use CR in CS3?
Any thoughts on why the image load is so slow would be appreciated. I have 4 gb of ram, and a quad core processor.

Well, Well, Well, I actually found the answer to my problem in the CS3 forum.

If your default printer is a network printer change it to something local. If you don't have a local printer, that's okay. Just install any print driver you'd like and use that.
I recently acquired a new "document" printer that was installed as a network printer. It has been set as the default. As soon as I changed the default back to my Epson R1800, my files load up quickly again. Who'd uh thunk it? Bless Robert Levine! Now all I have to do is remember to send documents to something other than the default printer!

  • SpeedGrade CC (2014) corrupting .psd files sent as clips from Prem Pro CC(2014)

I have embedded a Photoshop CC file (.psd) in a Prem Pro CC sequence. Each time I link the sequence to SpeedGrade, making sure I don't interfere with the .psd clip, the clip is returned to Prem Pro corrupted and have to restruscture and reinstall each time.
Is there something that I can do to prevent this or is this a bug?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Cannot send files via Bluetooth from my BB 8310 to my Mac OS X 10.5.5

Trying to send files/pics via Bluetooth from my BB 8310 to my Mac OS X 10.5.5. with no luck.
From the menu options from the chosen picture I want to send, I select "send using Bluetooth"
It then prompts me to select a device.
I select my MacBook (BB and my Mac obviously paired).
Then the a File Transfer message tells me : "Failed to Find Service"
    Please help.
    Thanks

Tripper: Sorry for my delayed response (very sick dad in the hopsital). Also, sorry I answered the *wrong* question. To transfer files:
On each Mac OS X 10.5-based Mac, from the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
From the View menu, choose Sharing.
Check (click) the "On" box next to Bluetooth Sharing.
    Close the Sharing preferences window.
Select the file that you want to transfer.
Select "Send Using Bluetooth" from the Blackberry menu.
You will now receive a pop-up asking you to select a device. Select the paired computer you want to transfer the file to.
The file will start transferring. If you selected "Ask What to Do" in the Bluetooth prefs, you'll get a pop-up on the computer asking you if you want to accept or decline the file transfer.
That's it. Let me know if you still have problems.
    Good luck,
    Rene

  • Problem with file transfer via Bluetooth

I have been trying to receive some large files (43Mb) via bluetooth from another device but always get transfer fail message. But i could receive smaller flies...
-Does this have anything to do with the device memory limit of 15MB?
-How can i receive larger video files from other devices using bluetooth?
-Does the BOLD have the same problem?
    Please help.

What type of errors is being generated? Are you trying to save that file on device memory or media card? try moving that file on media card.

  • Getting files from laptop to iPad for email

I have been stuck trying to find a solution for this problem.
I have a desktop, laptop and iPad2. My iPad generally syncs with the desktop (which has my photos, complete iTunes library, etc.).
I regularly travel to a location that has no internet access. My laptop cannot connect. However, my iPad does have 3G service in the area and can send/receive email.
There are many times where I have to create a file and send to clients for review. These are primarily PDF files, but sometimes I also need to send graphic files (jpeg, eps). These files are created on the laptop and cannot be created on the iPad.
The problem is - how can I get these files from the laptop to the iPad and attach them to an email?
Laptop is a MacBook Pro. Currently running 10.6.8, but will eventually go to 10.7. It has bluetooth, airport and USB to connect to the iPad. I just cannot figure out how to get the files over and available to mail.
Is there a solution or an app? As it stands, when I am in this "no internet" location, I am unable to work - I can create the files, but not send them to the people who need them.
    Any ideas?

I have Dropbox on my laptop and my iPad.
Dropbox can only email a link, not the actual file. I would rather avoid this extra step for my clients - although if it were the only workaround, I guess I could live with it.
Real problem is that the laptop is offline. Only the iPad is online (via 3G). If my laptop could access Dropbox, I could email the file itself from that machine.
How do I get the file from the offline laptop to the iPad (dropbox or otherwise) so it can be emailed?

  • Read a file sent as an attachment from CPSC

I have a requirement where in CPO has to read a text file sent as an attachment from portal (cisco prime service catalog), Is there a way to query RCdatabase to fetch Document ID and retrive the file and read the file. If this approach is not feasible, is there an alternate way to host the text file in an external location and pulled from there?

    Hi,
is the next part of the code correct.
What i mean is packing of the attachment, finding out the size of pdf file and doc type as PDF.
You can also try below link..

  • IMac can no longer open .jpg .jpeg & other media files sent from PC?

I can no longer open .jpg photos & media files sent to my iMac from my wife's PC through Outlook email. I get an error message saying the item cannot be opened. All other recipients have no trouble opening these attachments. We have tried numerous fixes suggested by Apple chat sites but to no avail. I suspect an OS update around December 2010 has caused this problem on not just our machine but thousands of other iMac users & Apple is ignoring it. Why isn't Apple addressing this huge issue?

Likely, because there are millions of Mac users, and not everyone is experiencing this issue.   Until it happens to all Mac users with a specific system, it will be very difficult to isolate the cause.
You can sign up for a free online developer account:

And you can post here your bug report:

Attachments may need to be encoded a specific way with Outlook to be readable by Mac OS X Mail.
You can also try reading those messages with Thunderbird, or another Mac e-mail client.  To find other Mac e-mail clients, search the software search engines here*:

  • Illustrator CC 2014 can't open files sent from Draw.

Illustrator CC 2014 v18.0.0 (just installed today, 11/6/2014): I can't open files sent from Adobe Draw. The files send from Draw OK, but in Illustrator—which finally opens as advertised—I get an error message, i.e. The file "Dog - Drawing 1.draw" is in an unknown format and cannot be opened. This goes for all of my work, whether created in Ideas then opened recently in Draw, or files created in Draw from scratch.

Illustrator files (.ai or .pdf)  that I save using CC 2014 vs 8.1.0 on my Windows (8.1) machine on our network server. I try to open them on Mac.
'The File "x.pdf" is an unknown format and cannot be opened'
This may in some way be related to accessing the file over the server since when I transfer the file to my lcal drive I don't get the same error.  I still can't open the file but I get an error near the end of the opening process :
"Could not read the file because the plug-in made an invalid request of the Photoshop adaptor"
Again, I can open this file using CC 2014 vs 8.1.0 on my Windows (8.1) machine.

  • Can't open word files sent from my 9500 to E90

Can some one please help me,
word documents sent to my E90 from my 9500 won't open,
message says :Unable to open file not supported,
It all started with data mover, Contact & Calendar entries are fine but document folders are recognised but won't open,
Nokia suggested using drag & drop, using Pc suit
with the 9500 connected drag all wanted files from the phone into my Pc then connect the E90 and reverse the process, files appear but I can't open them,
Then I was told to e-mail from my Pc as an attachment,
did'nt work either, doesn't matter how you get the files into the E90 you don't seem to be able to open them.
So, is it possable to get word files into an E90 from a 9500
    Thank you.

Open Word file in 9500, choose "Save as" from the Menu and you will have an option on one of the buttons at the right of the screen regarding the Format. Press that button and choose MS Word format. If you save all your Word files like this you should be able to open them on E90.
This is from memory alone. If I was not clear enough, please let me know and I will give you more detailed instructions. Good luck.
Me again, opened and a file in my 9500 and saved it in MS Word 97 then using Pc Suit copied it from one phone into the other, but once again I get the same message (Unable to open.. File type not supported)
I don't know if all E90's come with the same programs pre-loaded, in mine I have a program entitled Quick Office in which it says you can open and manipulate Word files along with Excel and also Lotus Notes but first you have to purchase and download software from Nokia to activate it,
I have found that if I go into Quick Office and write a document in word then save it, I get the same message as above when I try to open it,
As I said in my previous message, I suspect I will have to purchase the Quick Office software from Nokia,
I look forward to hearing your thoughts,
    Kind Regards.
