File-soap-file : problem in getting Interface Mapping

Hi
I am doing file to Soap to file scenario by using BPM. But I have several methods in Web Service.I am using one method for my requir in that I have to trigger by using CharSoapIn and CharSoapout interfaces .
I have created
Message mappings 1 Sen_File_MT to CharSoapIn and 2. CharSoapout to Rec_File_MT.
Interface Mapping 1. File to Soap and 2. Soap to File respectively.
I know I have to create 3 receiver determinations.
Problem is I am not finding out the Interface Mapping where I am configuring from BPM to Business Service.
I am using Business Service I feel that I am going wrong some where in adding the "Services".
Anyone help me out..what would be the problem
Thanks
Shankar.

Yes I am using Abs interfaces and I am following below block
/people/arpit.seth/blog/2005/06/27/rfc-scenario-using-bpm--starter-kit
Fig 13 I am using separatly FileRequest_MT to CharSoapIn and FileResponse_MT to CharSoapOut.
But here instead of RFC I am using SOAP also I am using Business Service intead of Business System.
I am unable to fine the Interface Mapping from BPM to Soap or BMP to File
Thanks
Shankar

• File-Soap-File scenario with asynch - synch bridge

Hi,
I am new to PI and I'm trying to develop a FIle-SOAP-File scenario with asynch-synch bridge. These are the components in my integration builder:
Business Component to act as both the sender and receiver
1 outbound communication channel to pick up the file from ftp server
1 SOAP communication channel
1 inbound communication channel to write file to the ftp server
receiver determination
interface determination
sender agreement
receiver agreement
In my outbound channel, I am using:
Processing sequence:
1 AF_Modules/RequestResponseBean Local Enterprise Bean 1
2 CallSapAdapter Local Enterprise Bean 2
3 AF_Modules/ResponseOnewayBean Local Enterprise Bean 3

3 receiverChannel inbound communication channel to write file to the ftp server
3 receiverService Business component where the channel above is found.
When I run the scenario, I am able to get the file from ftp server, map it to SOAP format according to the wsdl, forward the message to SOAP adapter, send it to web service, get the response back from web service, map the data to a regular file format. However, it fails to write back to the ftp server. I am getting Java null pointer error at AF_Modules/ResponseOnewayBean.

Hi,
Please go through all the settings for the modules once again - check for any space or other such character present or if some name is not correctly specified.
If you still get the error, then make some change to the channel and re-activate.
Also, make sure you are following the below sequence in the sender file channel-
ModuleName Type ModuleKey
AF_Modules/RequestResponseBean Local Enterprise Bean 1
CallSapAdapter Local Enterprise Bean 2

3 receiverChannel Receiver File Adapter Name
3 receiverService Receiver Business Service
Hope this helps.

• BPM synchronous file - soap - file

Hi Friends,
I am working on scenario in which I am going pick up XML file from my system using File adapter and send to partner using SOAP adapter and in response I am going to receive an XML file that I have to store in some folder in my system.
Without doing any configuration in IR , and configuring only ID I was able to get response that I can see in SXMB_MONI but I am not able to save it.
1) Is there any way I can save that response without configuring any thing in IR?
2) I got some details from SDN that it can be done by using BPM in IR. If so please let me knw general approach that I should take to achieve above requirement.
Thanks.....

may be we can achieve this by using the FILE sync flow as mentioned in this doc:
https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/File-RFC-File%28Without%20BPM%29
You will have to include the response message in the FILE_OB_SYNC MI appropriately.....and as described you will be using two file channels...one sender and other receiver....so the receiver will paste the file to the desired location.....you can avoid BPM then....
IF your SP is not compatible then you need to use BPM:
Receive(FILE) ->Transformation(IfNeeded)>SyncSend(SOAP)>Transformation(IfNeeded)-->SendAsync(FILE)

Abhishek.

• File - Soap - File

I created a scenario which using file adapter to send out a xml message, then I want to use SOAP adapter to receive the message and send it to a web service for getting the response back. And I want this Response to be send thru File Adapter(xml message).
Source data type is as follows:
DT_FinRequest
CurrencyList
Target
SourceList
Source
Target Data Type Structure:
DT_FinResponse
ConversionRateList
Rate
I created BPM with one receive and two send steps. Receive step accepts the Abstract interface of Source structure.
First send step is used send request to web service in that i used synchrounous abstart interface which is containing both input and output.
Second step is used to send response.(ie Abstart interface of Target)
Then I created a web service. its wsdl file has
input message structure
ConversionRate
FromCurrency
ToCurrency
output message structure
ConversionRateResponse
conversionRateResult
When the scenario run, message monitoring shows File Adapter successfuly send out the message, SOAP adapter also successfully send out the message and more over output message structure from web service has been transformed into the target structure(XML Message),but File adapter at the receiving end i.e Adapter engine is in waiting state, then after a while it says system error. I guess it is timeouted.
Could anybody tell me where is wrong ?
Thanks a lot!
Karuna

Hi
In final Send step i have taken the abstract interface of target structure.
I ran configuration wizard 3 times.
At First source service to BPM.
After that BPM to one intermediate Soap System.
In this step am getting response from web service and that web service structure is getting converted into the target XML structure.
After that BPM to Target Service. And I also have respected mapping (target abstract structure to inbound structure) Am getting problem in this step only.
Thanks & Regards

Hi Wayne,
Did you added com.sap.security.api.jar to your webdynpro project. if not follow this steps.
1. Right-click the project in Eclipse or SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio.
2. Select Properties.
3. Choose Java build path -> Libraries -> Add Variable -> Select variable WD_RUNTIME -> Extend -> com.sap.security -> lib -> com.sap.security.api.jar.
I hope this should solve your problem.

• How to debug file content conversion problems?

Hi,
I'm trying to debug a file content conversion problem. I'm mapping a few nodes in an IDOC to a file of fixed length fields. I'm using the "<Node A>.fieldFixedLengths", "<Node B>.fieldFixedLengths", "<Node C>.fieldFixedLengths", etc. parameters to specify the fixed length records.
However, a certain node (for e.g. Node B) is causing a problem and if it is present in the IDOC, the output file does not get created. Upon checking the XI monitor, I notice that the file gets mapped correctly and thus the problem lies when the file adapter does the file content conversion. How do I debug this because there is no descriptive error in the XI log? If this node is not present, the file gets generated fine.
Thanks,
Basant Gupta

Hi,
If your SXMB_MONI shows, success status, then go to RWB->Message Monitoring->Message display tool and then check Audit log for the analysis,
So it wil help you debug the situation.
If there is no error, then check RWB->Component Monitoring->Adapter Monitoring for you file communciation channel..

• Interface mappin in File to File using BPM

Hey guys
why is it that in a asynchronous File to File scenario using BPM,we make interface mapping between outbound message interface and the abstract message interface whereas in general its between outbound and inbound message interface.also why we dont have any interface mapping between Abstract interface and inbound interface.
thanx
ahmad

Ashish,
From the link,
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/d92e428819da2ce10000000a1550b0/content.htm
Every step of an integration process uses Integration Server resources.
● Every message that is sent to the Process Engine is duplicated.
● Every message that is sent from the Process Engine is duplicated.
● A work item is created for the process itself and for every step the process contains.
This means that for a process that just receives one message that is sent without being processed further, four messages and three work items are created.
For this reason, you must ensure that you take Integration Server resources into account when you define integration processes.
So, by having the transformation outside the BPM , you are avoiding one message to be stored inside your BPM and therby the replication. The message that hits the BPM is the transformed message directly which avoid consumption of resources.
So, as much as possible keep mappings outside the BPM.

• Without BPM:Call RFC using JCO in interface mapping using java mapping

Hi all
I have a very small scenario where REQUEST from the customer comes via Web Service all i have to do is to read the request using SOAP adapter and call an interface mapping(lets say the name is IM_TEST) inside which there is a JAVA MAPPING program written which will call an RFC in CRM using JCO.
Now this was really simple and i cud test the Interface mapping successfully, but the problem is when loading the scenario in integration directory i have certain things to do
1. to set the SENDER AGREEMENT which i did correctly
2. set the RECEIVER DETERMINATION, INTERFACE DETERMINATION AND RECEIVER AGREEMENT now here i am stuck because there is no receiver in my case as the RFC is called inside the mapping only.
can i call one more message mapping in IM_TEST which will write file onto the XI directory and then in RECEIVER DETERMINATION, INTERFACE DETERMINATION AND RECEIVER AGREEMENT i can mention the reciever as FTP.
I tried it but i gives the following error
Runtime exception occurred during execution of application mapping program com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_TEST_WRITE_FILE: com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException; Parsing an empty source. Root element expected!
Please help me how to complete the scenario so that customer can run it end to end.

What do i do then...actually this is the project requirement. They want a very fast response from PI and thats why they wnt us to omit BPM and the Graphical mapping from the scenario.
I am able to test the interface mapping which calls the the Java mapping inside which there is an RFC call, but i cannot implement it end - to - end as there is no receiver business system in this case. The only business system i have is the SOAP sender.
I am really troubled now, please help me with a solution.
Is there any other possible way through which the process can become very fast whic hcan meet their requirement.

• Importing IDOC in XI for interface mapping

Dear All ,
In IDOC-XI-XML file scenarion , I am doing the interface mapping where I am giving the source(IDOC) and target(Data type ) . The problem I am facing is that I am not able to see any IDOC in the source . Can anybody plz explain how to import IDOC from the SAP sytem .
Plz need your help asap .
Thanks in advance .

Hi Moorthy,
I checked connection in SM59 all r working fine using test connection.
In XI I have created 2 different RFC's for R/3.
1) "D11" with my personal login ID of R/3
2) "D11-060" with some special login ID "XIRFCUSER" of R/3
In IDX1 if i am using D11 and when i am trying to import Idoc in IDX2 i am getting error "Communication error: 'User ROHILLAU has no RFC authorization for functio'"
But when i use D11-060 in IDX1 i am able to import Idoc in IDX2.
But in IR-> Import SAP Object, I am using my ID for import and getting error "JCO.Client not connected in repository call"
Is in IR i also need to use "XIRFCUSER".

• Interface Mapping not found error

I'm getting "Interface Mapping
(SWCV=
) not found" error during runtime. I did not do anything to the specified interface mapping. If I go into the repository and put into modify mode, add space to description, save, activate, it all works fine. Any idea why my interface mappings are getting "lost" in the runtime cache... any way to do a bulk reload of repository objects into the runtime cache?

Hi Tadd,
It may help to eliminate the possible erros:
1) In the Runtime Workbench, simulate the message in the Component Monitoring / Adapter Engine. If this does not work:
2) Try to restart the JVM. I have seen sometimes that the mapping functions stored as Java files do not get refreshed.
Cheers,

Hi,
MultiMapping will not work for IDoc's.You need to use Idoc packaging for this,
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/877c0d53-0801-0010-3bb0-e38d5ecd352c

• Interface mapping test successful, throws exception in BPM

Hi.
We are having a problem with an Interface mapping which works when
tested in Integration Builder, but throws an Exception when it is part
of the Transformation in a BPM.
The scenarion is such:
1. The sender calls the outbound interface using a web service.
2. XI uses the input and passes to the Integration Process
3. In the BPM, a LOGON message is built to call the web service as
specified by an external web service . The input and
output messages are just a single string, in which the other XML is
embedded.
4. XI receives a response from the web service call
5. XI Extracts the sessionId from the response and combines it with the
initial input (Step 1) to create the query for the query message in
the web service.
It is in Step 5 where the transformation fails, with an Exception in
the DefaultTrace.trc as
Runtime exception occurred during execution of application mapping program com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_LogonResponse_PropertySearchRequest_to_ExternalRequestSOAP_: com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException; RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformation: Cannot produce target element /ns0:Messages/ns0:Message1/ns1:EXTERNAL/REQUEST. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd
Thrown:
MESSAGE ID: com.sap.aii.ibrun.server.mapping.rb_MappingRuntimeException.EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE
com.sap.aii.ibrun.server.mapping.MappingRuntimeException: Runtime exception occurred during execution of application mapping program com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_LogonResponse_PropertySearchRequest_to_ExternalRequestSOAP_: com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException; RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformation: Cannot produce target element /ns0:Messages/ns0:Message1/ns1:EXTERNAL/REQUEST. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd
I have extracted the data from the initial request (step 1) and the
logon response (step 4) and using these I have tested the Interface
Mapping. There is no problem with this and the tests are successful.
From what I can see, because the Response field in the LOGONResponse
contains more XML tags, XI must be parsing it and assuming the tags are
tags in the message, and not just the string, thus it is complaining
that the XSD types do not match. This extra XML Parsing does not take
place in the Interface Mapping Test.
I have put the response into a User Defined Function which just has one
line "return new String("Hello")" and that fails. However, if this UDF
does not have the Response as the input, it does not complain.
Please advise.
--Reenal

hi
You will have to use specific replacements for you xml tags if it is coming as a paramter
replace '<' with <
replace '>' with >
for eg: I want to pass <TakeIt>200</TakeIt> as value to Element
Mapping won't work if it is passed like
a) <TakeIt>200</TakeIt> - Wrong
Instead the replace the angle brackets
b) <TakeIt>200</TakeIt> - Correct
While testing the mapping in IR (a) will work bcoz the test tool will convert it to (b) format. Check the xml source in test tool.
So ensure the web response is like (b)

• Error in interface mapping when calling a xsl file

Hi,
Using XSLT I am calling another XSL file into my main xsl file.I have added both the zip files into a single zip file and imported in my imported archive. But when i do the interface mapping testing i get an error 'Transformer configuration exception occurred when loading XSLT xslt1.xsl'.
What should i do?

Dear Sidhvin,
First test your XSLT in the editor (for example STYLUS STUDIO). In Editor run your mapping and have a look whether you are getting the required result.
if you are getting the required result of XSLT then use it in the scenario and after importing this activate it and then run the interface.
hope this time you will not get any error
Thanks
