Waiting for your answers.
Thank You.
Seema.
Hi Seema,
I think you are using mi_Orders05_In_Asyn as the IDOC interface.
Use the imported idoc as the interface. i.e you dont need to create Inbound Message interface for IDOC. You can use the imported idoc structure as interface.
Let us know if that doesnt solve your problem.

Sumit

Unable to interpret IDoc interface ZSHIPDEL_packageRD
Hi,
I am doing a file-xi-idoc scenerio.
I've exported my custom idoc as an xsd and modified the schema to allow for multiple idocs to be generated for each file - as per note 814393.
However I get the following error message at runtime (Call Adapter):
<SAP:Category>XIAdapter</SAP:Category>
<SAP:Code area="IDOC_ADAPTER">ATTRIBUTE_WRONG_INTF</SAP:Code>
<SAP:P1>ZSHIPDEL_packageRD</SAP:P1>
<SAP:P2 />
<SAP:P3 />
<SAP:P4 />
<SAP:AdditionalText />
<SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
<SAP:Stack>Unable to interpret IDoc interface ZSHIPDEL_packageRD</SAP:Stack>
<SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
Has anyone else experienced this error?
Regards
leenorI have a scenario exactly like the above one.
My file structure is like
TransactionDetailList
TransactionDetail (1:N)
Transaction_Type (0:1)
Transaction_Date (0:1)
Add_Revise_Cancel_USER_ID (0:1)
Add_Revise_Cancel_Date_Time (0:1)
My IDOC has the below structure,
ZIDOC_BDS_DIVERSION
IDOC
ZSEGL_DIVERSION_HEADER
SEGMENT
NOMNR
NOMIT
EVENT_DATE
ZSEGL_ DIVERSION_ITEM
SEGMENT
WHO_PAYS_DIVERSI
LOCID
DEST_CITY
so i have to generate multiple idocs in the target side.
I have created external defination based on my IDOC.Defined mapping between File and the external defination crerated from the IDOC. also defiined interface mapping between file and external defination.
In the Integration Directory ->Interface Defination, I have used the actual Idoc as Inbound interface for which there is no mapping as we have not defined anything for this. This is exactly what you have defined above.
I am getting the following errors like,
"Error: MSGGUID A5EE4A305B4111DABFBE0002551F08EE: Tag TransactionDetailList found instead of tag IDOC BEGIN="
Please let me know if I am missing some steps while configuring or I have to do something else.
Thanks & Regards,

Unable to interpret IDoc interface
Hi,
I have a File to multiple IDOC scenario. I have change the IDOC occurance by creating ED.
I have developed everything but the following error is coming during my end to end testing.
Unable to interpret IDoc interface
Thanks,
RajRaj Says..
I have change the IDOC occurance by creating ED.
Hi Raj,
Since you have changed the IDOC occurrences by creating an ED so you have to make sure that IDOC and ED has been used properly in your scenario.
1. MM = use ED
2. IM = use original IDOC
3. ID = use original IDOC

The Reason we are using a Interface rather than using a IDOC directly is because our the IDOC Structure is 867.ORDERS01.ZORDRS1x and this is a custom IDOC in ECC and when we try to directly use the structure in the Interface Determination we get the error

Has anyone faced a similar problem ? If so please let me know how you fixed it.

Unable to interpret 1,000.000 as a number while posting IDOCs
Hi All,
I know this query has been asked multiple times but as of now I am unable to find the right match so posting this query again. We are posting an IDOC from SAP PI to SAP ECC using SAP PI IDOC Adapter. When the IDOC is sent there is one specific value in one of the fields which have value 1000.00. Now when the IDOC is received by SAP the value is received as 1,000.000. As far as I understand this is because the user configured in the RFC destination in SAP PI (which sends the IDOC to SAP) is having in its default profile the Decimal Notation as 1,234,567.89 and hence we see the value as 1,000.00.
But then the IDOC is not posted in SAP and the issue is: "Immediately processing not possible: Unable to interpret 1,000.000 as a number".
As I am not much aware about ABAP being a PI consultant, would appreciate if experts can guide me on how to resolve this issue. Thanks for taking time to read through the issue.
Thanks,
PratikPlease check at abap end for the inbound parameters.
In we20 the message type will be assigned .Double click it and you will get the process code.Double click that and you will get the required FM.
If the inbound function module is Z ,Please do the necessary change.
OR
Else try WE19 to process the idoc (Existing).
Execute and then check the Inbound function module option and then call in debugging mode to check the where the error is happening.
Hope it helps.
Thanks! -
Unable to create IDOCs after client copy
I'm unable to create IDOCs after a client copy. I receive a SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC or insert of duplicate rows ABAP dump.
Does anyone know what how to fix this. Thank you in advance.
Runtime Error SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC
Except. CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
Date and Time 22.10.2007 16:50:51
ShrtText
The ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert results in duplicate database records.
What happened?
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLEDI1" had to be terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.
is especially useful if you want to keep a particular message.
Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was
neither
caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure
"F09_IDOC_INSERT_WITH_NUMBER" "(FORM)"
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception
to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
If you use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert to insert a record in
the database and that record already exists with the same key,
this results in a termination.
(With an ABAP/4 Open SQL single record insert in the same error
situation, processing does not terminate, but SY-SUBRC is set to 4.)
How to correct the error
Use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert only if you are sure that none of
the records passed already exists in the database.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:
"SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC" CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DBC
"SAPLEDI1" or "LEDI1F09"
"F09_IDOC_INSERT_WITH_NUMBER"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->
Save->Local File (unconverted)".
2. A suitable printout of the system log
To obtain this, call the system log through transaction SM21.
Limit the time interval to 10 minutes before and 5 minutes
after the short dump. In the display, then select the function
"System->List->Save->Local File (unconverted)".
3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
supply the source code.
To do this, select the Editor function "Further Utilities->
Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.
The exception must either be prevented, caught within the procedure
"F09_IDOC_INSERT_WITH_NUMBER"
"(FORM)", or declared in the procedure's RAISING clause.
To prevent the exception, note the following:

Unable to import IDOC metadata from 4.6C based R/3 system
As part of a project we are trying to import IDOC interface definition into XI3.0 from our 4.6C based R/3 System. I have gone through the pre-requisites mentioned at
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2b/a48f3c685bc358e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm
One of the OSS notes 672745 in the above pre-requisites talks about applying basis component patch SAPKB46C46. Our current R/3 System is on the basis patch SAPKB46C39. Is there a way to import just the required function modules without applying the whole patch so that we can
continue with the projet ?
cheers.
Ramesh Babu<i>There is no SM59 RFC destination involved.</i>
Go to SM59 of the XI box and check, the R/3 system for which XI is having RFC destinations.
And before importing, hope you have given R/3 system IP address, client , user id and Password correctly in the Software componenet version.
<i>Is there a workaround for this?. I remember reading in this forum, that there are other ways of importing IDOC message and interface objects as XSD files directly instead of using import wizard.</i>
>> For this you need to download the Idoc Schema from the R/3 system and then import this schema in the External Definition as a xsd type.
But you need to connect to R/3 system and import the Idoc, Because in the directory, you are going to use Idoc itself as an Message Interface. So the xsd used for changing the occurence of the Idoc type, so that you can post mulitiple idocs.
Hope this helps,

Unable to import idoc into PI 7.0 system from SAP r/3 system
Hi Experts,
I am getting an error while importing an Idoc structure from SAP r/3 system. The error says "unable to read Idoc segments". The Idoc has recently undergone changes. When We are looking at the struture of idoc through IDOCSYN table it is showing updated structure in SAP R/3 system but import to SAP XI is failing.
Can you suggest some way to tackle this kind of problem.
regards
AnupamHi Francis,
This was indeed an authorization issue. Thank you so much for your valuable suggestion. The user lacked proper authorization to import the idocs.
Hi All,
Thank you for all your support.

<i>>>>I have another douts also..to create the Delivery document IDOC is DESADV.DELVRY03 is correct or not...if any other IDOC's is there to create delivery document.</i>
This IDOC is the right one.
POSEX is the external item number. How many line items are there, I mean how many delivery items are there? Are you sure you are assigning POSEX for all the records?
Thanks,

But when I go to WE02 transaction code , i do not see any IDOCS being generated for IDOC Type ORDERS05 .
Please could someone help me out with this .

Get IDoc-number from flat IDoc using dynamic configuration
Dear experts
In an IDoc2File scenario I have added the IDoc-number to dynamic configuration using the folling code in an UDF:
DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration)
container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
DynamicConfigurationKey FileName = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http:/"+"/sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","DOCNUM");
conf.put(FileName, a);
The information is stored in the SOAP message
<SAP:DynamicConfiguration SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
<SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File" name="DOCNUM">0000000000012345</SAP:Record>
</SAP:DynamicConfiguration>
Can anybody tell me how I can access this information in the "variable substitution" section of the CC? Perhaps something like "message:docnum"?
Additional information:
Taking the IDoc-number from the payload using e.g. "payload:ORDERS05,1,IDOC,1,EDI_DC40,1,DOCNUM,1" does not work, since the XML-IDoc has been converted to an flat-IDoc.
Thanks in advance for any good ideas
MarkusDear Rodrigo and Sarvesh
Thanks for your help so far! I applied your hints and now it is working fine.
But now I have the following additional questions
1.) My message mapping only maps the input IDoc to an output IDoc of the same type and structure. The MM is only required to process the UDF. Is there another, better solution to achieve my requirement that the IDoc-number shall be part of the filename?
2.) In the CC you have the possibility to use temporary files (section "Processing", Option "Put File" = "Use Temporary File". I think this will not work with the given solution, will it?
To possibly help somebody else or clarify the mechanism once again, I wrote down how my solution now looks like.
My UDF in the message-mapping looks like this
- Input = DOCNUM of IDoc, e.g. ORDERS05/IDOC/EDIDC/DOCNUM
- Outpt = DOCNUM of IDoc, e.g. ORDERS05/IDOC/EDIDC/DOCNUM
- UDF:
public String putDynamicConfiguration(String docnum, Container container) throws StreamTransformationException{
try
DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
String filename = "Prefix_" + docnum + ".txt";
conf.put(key, filename);
return docnum;
catch (Exception e)
return docnum;
In the CC the settings are now as follows
File Name Scheme = . -> only a dot or something else, because this field is obligatory, even if it is not used in this case.
Variable substitution (...)
Enable -> unchecked
Adapter-Specific Message Attributes
Use Adapter-Specific Message Attributes -> checked
Fail If Adapter-Specific Message Attributes Missing -> checked
File Name -> checked
Directory, File Type, Temporary Name Scheme for Target File Name -> unchecked
When I send an IDoc to PI and view the Adapte-Engine Version of the message (the SOAP-document, not the payload) I can find the Filename:
<SAP:DynamicConfiguration SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
<SAP:Record namespace="http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File" name="FileName">Prefix_0000000000012345.txt</SAP:Record>
</SAP:DynamicConfiguration> -
Unable to interpret u3030u0081@ as a number - problem
Hi,
We've got problem with BPMs which use graphical (java) mapping. In SXI_MONITOR such processes have "Message being sent" status. In process engine workflow log it stops at mapping step with "In process" status. Technical details show that there is a tRFC call which fails with "Unable to interpret 〰@ as a number.". This is also visible in ST22. BPM without mapping works without any problems. Test mapping in integration repository works fine.
Has anyone got any ideas?
Kind regards,
Michal KrawczykHi,
Have you tested your mapping using the actual source message that caused the error in BPM?
From the BPE monitor copy-n-paste the actual message into the Interface Mapping test tool.

IDOC Serialization(EOIO) using IDOC Adapter throwing Mapping error
Hello SDN Gurus,
The scenario I am working on is IDOC(PAYEXT & EUPEXR) --> XI (ABAP Mapping) --> Flat File (IDOC Structure).
The IDOCS produced in Appl system may be in the following order
PAYEXT
PAYEXT
EUPEXR
PAYEXT
PAYEXT
PAYEXT
EUPEXR
I need them to be processed in the same order into flat file.
The scenario is working good except for the serialization. So I did the following
Created two entries in IDXQUEUE one for each message type with the same Queue name in XI system.
Created a new rule for the queue and an associated function module. Used this rule in partner profile for both the message types. I used the following link to create the above two steps.
/people/community.user/blog/2006/11/04/how-to-serialize-idoc-xml-messages-fed-into-xi
The SAP system in based on WAS 6.4.
I can see the queue name & EOIO in the inbound message header.
I am getting a mapping error in ABAP program. If I inactivate the queue(in Appl system SAP ECC), I don't get any error.
Does anybody had this problem earlier? Please advice.
Thanks
Srini VaidyamI found an OSS note to resolve my issue. The note number is 1057573.
Whenever the queue is activated, the sender system will not send the <TABNAM> field value in EDI_DC40 structure. This note addresses this problem.
I found out this by comparing the results from SXI_MAPPING_TEST individually for the message that failed after queue is activated and the message that was successful if the queue is inactivated.
Only thing I noticed now is even if you selected the radio button "Trasfer Immediately" in Partner profile of Appl. system, the messages are not sent. They are getting collected. So we need to manually push them out using WE14.
This forum Rocks.
Thanks.

Error: Idoc name IDoc cannot find request IDoc in Integration Server
Hi,
I am getting an error while working on a scenario.
scenario is Idoc to file. when the Idoc is posted, i am getting the error "ALEAUDIT IDoc cannot find request IDoc in Integration Server" when i see the status in SXMB_MONI
I have tested the message mapping and configuration induvidually. They are working fine.
Kindly help me out in solving this issue.
please replyHi,
The AleAduit sent in the case of Idoc to File if the file is posted successfuly is not actually a App Ack, and that is why we get the info Ack not possible.
But, as the R3 might expect this Idoc, XI still sends it back to the Source R3 system.

phani
