Filter By Total
I am writing a BEx Query for accounts receivable and I only want to show documents that dont come back to zero e.g. outstanding debts. How do I filter out documents that do come back to zero. On rows I have allocation number and baseline date and in the columns the key field of amount. In my example I have two rows that have the same allocation number but different base line dates. One row has the amount of £100 and the other has the amount of minus £100. So the total, due to the allocation grouping, comes back to zero. I cant remove base line date etc. However I dont want any doc that total zero. Can you help.
You can create a formula key figure as Amount1 + Amount2 and hide this Formula Key Figure.
Now Create a condition on this FKF as Not Equal to 0. So that if the amount sums up to 0 they are filtered out

Need Help to provide Filter and Total Provisions for Table Control

Pivot table total on a computed column not showing when using a filter
I have this strange issue. I will try to explain.
I have three columns in my report - Delivered Qty, Opened Quantity, and the third one is computed that is (Delivered Qty - Opened Qty). The data is displayed in a table by quarter. So basically I have Quarter, Delivered Qty, Open Qty, Not Opened Qty. I also have the total row. A pie chart shows the opened vs. un-opened quantities. It all works fine.
The issue is when I add a prompt and the corresponding filter, the total for the computed field is blank. This happens whether it is pivot table or a regular table. That causes the pie chart to show 100% for the Opened qty.
When I remove the filter, it works again. I can see the total for the computed field and the pie chart looks great.
Can anyone please help me? I have a number of hours trying to play around with this and also looked in the forum to see if any one might have already discussed similar issue in the past. I could not find any.
Thanks.I found the issue with my table total not showing up. Basically the new materialized view had its own data table alias. However, in the filter I was using date columns from different date table alias (copy and paste problem). As soon as I changed to the right date columns from the associated alias table, the row total showed up.

Hi - has anyone had issues creating a filter (on total float of a baseline specifically) that has corrupted / locked out the database?
You can try the following solution. We had this happen at a client a few months ago. Not sure what version you're on, so solution could be different.
Open the layout known not to cause the error and choose View, Layout, Save As.
Provide a new name, different from the name of corrupt layout.
Set the layout up to look the same as the original layout based on the previously noted settings
Delete the corrupt layout -
Column Totals of a table region in OAF Page
Hi,
I developed a custom OAF page with a table region (NOT an Advanced table region). It has several columns and one of them is a flag column of checkbox type and also there is amount column.
My requirement is to display totals on the amount column based on the flag value. So if there are 4 records out of which 3 of them have flag = "Y"
then at footer level, one line should display Total Amount when flag = "Y" as sum(amount_column) with flag = "Y"
and another line should display : Total Amount when flag = "N" as sum(amount_column) with flag = "N".
Can anybody help me how I can accomplish this?
Note: I tried to use "Total" property to "True" but it is displaying data irrespective of my flag value. Some how, I should be able to filter the total based on the flag column. Also I need to display as one total per each flag value...
Please note that I am using Table region NOT Advanced table region.....I appreciate of some one can give me detailed steps to accomplish this. Thanks

We cannot avoid that. but an alternate is that use another table above this table and which has the number of rows as zero. hide the table header for the below table. you need to adjust the header of above table so that it fits for the below table.
This works fine if the table doesn't have sorter facility.

There is a requirement where we want to run manual Ad-Hoc BOP by sales order,creation date range,material and plant so that it will pick only the particular selected orders.
But we found that though it picked particular sales order but it filter from total backlogs which exists for that particular material and plant combination, and filtering the selected orders from the whole list actually took maximum portion of BOP run time.
I need help whether there is any way where BOP can picked the input sales orders only respect to particular material and plant combination.
I am giving two scenario which I faced:
1. Total backlog:53k
Sales order: 5 k
Run time:2.5 k
2. Total backlog:10k
Sales order: 5 k

I have no idea how BOP works technically. Logically, though, you cannot select a specific subset of records from a database without scanning the entire database. So, I don't think your request is possible. How would the program know that all matching records had been retreived without first going through the entire possible list?
The issue is the speed of the scan. In databases, if you select via a key or an index, the DBM has already pre-scanned the database, and knows the location of the records you seek. It can therefore find them quickly. I suspect that one or more of the 'reads' in your BOP program is not indexed, but again, I don't know how BOP works technically.
It might not hurt to regenerate these BOP programs. Try /SAPAPO/BOPC_GENER
If this doesn't help, Go to your DBA and ask him to analyze your BOP's performance. He can advise you of what you can do to improve it.
Another option might be just to use interactive BOP. /SAPAPO/BOPI

Remove Entries with no value in the total "Resource Assignment"
Dear all,
I am looking for a view where when i do not use any filters in the Resource view with Summery view selected, and when i choose the date range, i want only tasks with actual work done during that selected period to show.
that is if the total for a specif task is blank, do not show in the list.
i am currently doing that by exporting the view to excel and filter the total to remove the blank.

I'm not sure to well understand but as far as I get it, you'd like to filter on tasks that have started (ie actual work or actual start date) on a specific period.
I'd advice you the following:
Copy and rename the existing filter "time interval" (not sure of the translation, my Project is in french...)
Add a condition "AND" with for example actual start date different from "NC"
Then you might add this custopm filter in a custom view.

Using a string slicer value to filter measure calculations
Hi, I have 6 calculated fields that each provide a cumulative cost value for tasks in different categories. I would like to filter the total cumulative cost within one pivot chart to show only costs related to one project (out of a dozen or so).
I have a query which retrieves the project names, I have a relationship the costs and projects tables, however the measures will show me ALL project cumulative costs, and when I select each project name as a slicer value, only the X-Axis date range changes
to reflect the date range of the project. The cumulative costs remain the same, meaning the slicer value (project name) does not change the total cumulative costs in each category.
My formula for one of the calculated cumulative cost fields is below: (SumCapExAct is just

Summing data for a period when a filter is available
I have the following fields in my report
Company , Date, Days Budget, MTD Budget, YTD budget .
I need to add a column to the same report to indicate the Total Budget for the year. Which is the sum of Days budget field for the entire year . This needs to be shown even if a filter is added to the date column.
Currently when I add the filter, the Total Budget will be computed only up to the date defined in the filter. Is there any other way of achieving this?You have to "lock"the hierarchy level in de repository.
Add a copy of Days Budget to your RPD , rename it Total budget, set the hierarchy level to Year

1. The ALV Grid Control is a tool with which you can output non-hierarchical lists in a
standardized format. The list data is displayed as a table on the screen.
The ALV Grid Control offers a range of interactive standard list functions that users need
frequently (find, sort, filter, calculate totals and subtotals, print, print preview, send list,
export list (in different formats), and so on. These functions are implemented in the
proxy object class. You as the programmer have the possibility to turn off functions not
needed. In most cases the implementations of the standard functions provided by the
control are sufficient. However, if required, you can adjust these implementations to
meet application-specific needs.
You can add self-defined functions to the toolbar, if necessary.
The ALV Grid Control allows users to adjust the layout of lists to meet their individual
requirements (for example, they can swap columns, hide columns, set filters for the
data to be displayed, calculate totals, and so on). The settings (list customizing) made

The ALV Grid Control is a tool with which you can output non-hierarchical lists in a
standardized format. The list data is displayed as a table on the screen.
The ALV Grid Control offers a range of interactive standard list functions that users need
frequently (find, sort, filter, calculate totals and subtotals, print, print preview, send list,
export list (in different formats), and so on. These functions are implemented in the
proxy object class. You as the programmer have the possibility to turn off functions not
needed. In most cases the implementations of the standard functions provided by the
control are sufficient. However, if required, you can adjust these implementations to
meet application-specific needs.
You can add self-defined functions to the toolbar, if necessary.
The ALV Grid Control allows users to adjust the layout of lists to meet their individual
requirements (for example, they can swap columns, hide columns, set filters for the
data to be displayed, calculate totals, and so on). The settings (list customizing) made
by a specific user are called a display variant. Display variants can be saved on a userspecific
or on a global basis. If such display variants exist for a list, they can be offered
to the user for selection. If a display variant is set as the default variant, the associated
list is always displayed based on the settings of this variant.

Sap provides a set of ALV (ABAP LIST VIEWER) function modules which can be put into use to embellish the output of a report. This set of ALV functions is used to enhance the readability and functionality of any report output. Cases arise in sap when the output of a report contains columns extending more than 255 characters in length.
In such cases, this set of ALV functions can help choose selected columns and arrange the different columns from a report output and also save different variants for report display. This is a very efficient tool for dynamically sorting and arranging the columns from a report output.
The report output can contain up to 90 columns in the display with the wide array of display options.
The commonly used ALV functions used for this purpose are;

The object F_IT_ALV has a field, the activity ACTVT, which can
contain four permitted values: 01, 02, 03 and 70. Each of the
activities 01, 02 and 70 controls the availability of particular

b) 02: "Settings -> Display variant -> Current..." and
"Settings -> Display variant -> Current header rows "
c) 70: "Settings -> Display variant -> Administration..."
Activity 03 corresponds to the minimum authorization, which is the
most restricted one: The user can only select layouts which have
been configured already. In particular, all of the other functions

Query Trip Data with Zero Amount
Dear all,
I have requirement to retrieve every trip record which has zero amount in its total cost. It didn't work when I use TCode S_AHR_PH0_61016401 (General Data Trip) for this query purpose.
I also took effort to make my own query definition using logical database PTRVP. This custom query used table PTRV_HEAD, PTRV_SHDR, PTRV_SREC. Later, I realized that table PTRV_SHDR, which save data for trip total cost, never store any trip record that has zero amount in its total cost.
Is there any configuration to make PTRV_SHDR able store the zero-trip?

Yes i have tested and then suggested..
Please note that on my side, system doest NOT display if you simply click on set filter (on Total Cost) and insert 0.00 amount on lower and upper then execute.
You need to select multple selection button and then place 0.00 in Select Single Value and then execute..

The ALV Grid Control is a tool with which you can output non-hierarchical lists in a
standardized format. The list data is displayed as a table on the screen.
The ALV Grid Control offers a range of interactive standard list functions that users need
frequently (find, sort, filter, calculate totals and subtotals, print, print preview, send list,
export list (in different formats), and so on. These functions are implemented in the
proxy object class. You as the programmer have the possibility to turn off functions not
needed. In most cases the implementations of the standard functions provided by the
control are sufficient. However, if required, you can adjust these implementations to
meet application-specific needs.
You can add self-defined functions to the toolbar, if necessary.
The ALV Grid Control allows users to adjust the layout of lists to meet their individual
requirements (for example, they can swap columns, hide columns, set filters for the
data to be displayed, calculate totals, and so on). The settings (list customizing) made
by a specific user are called a display variant. Display variants can be saved on a userspecific
or on a global basis. If such display variants exist for a list, they can be offered
to the user for selection. If a display variant is set as the default variant, the associated
list is always displayed based on the settings of this variant.

Sap provides a set of ALV (ABAP LIST VIEWER) function modules which can be put into use to embellish the output of a report. This set of ALV functions is used to enhance the readability and functionality of any report output. Cases arise in sap when the output of a report contains columns extending more than 255 characters in length.
In such cases, this set of ALV functions can help choose selected columns and arrange the different columns from a report output and also save different variants for report display. This is a very efficient tool for dynamically sorting and arranging the columns from a report output.
The report output can contain up to 90 columns in the display with the wide array of display options.
The commonly used ALV functions used for this purpose are;

Purpose of the above Functions are differ not all the functions are required in all the ALV Report.
But either no.7 or No.8 is there in the Program.

After completion of all the data fetching from the database and append this data into an Internal Table. say I_ITAB.
Then use follwing function module.

The object F_IT_ALV has a field, the activity ACTVT, which can
contain four permitted values: 01, 02, 03 and 70. Each of the
activities 01, 02 and 70 controls the availability of particular
functions (in the menu and the toolbar) of the ALV line item list:
a) 01: "Settings -> Display variant -> Save..."
b) 02: "Settings -> Display variant -> Current..." and
"Settings -> Display variant -> Current header rows "
c) 70: "Settings -> Display variant -> Administration..."
Activity 03 corresponds to the minimum authorization, which is the
most restricted one: The user can only select layouts which have
been configured already. In particular, all of the other functions
named above are inactive with activity 03.
Now if you want to permit a user to change the column selection and
the headers as well as to save the layout thus created, for example,

layouts, you grant him or her the authorization for activities 01
and 02.

Firefox is wiping out my Magnifier at the top of the sccreen.
When I double click the Firefox Icon on my Desktop it opens but covers up my Magnifier at the top of the screen and all of the Task Bar at the bottom. So I can not do anything. The Magnifier is still running, but is covered up with the Firefox screen
