Filters in Photoshop CS 5.1 are not working

How can I fix this?

Yeah, this one isn't... Does the gaussian blur work when doing the multiple layers? You know what I mean? For the airbrush effect that celebrities have in their pix... Here's the link that has instructions that I've been using for the airbrush effect

If there are any alternatives to this, that would be perfect.
However, I am still disturbed that with a monthly subscription that any function on these programs would up and stop working randomly.

Thanks so much Woodsroad. I had the exact same problem with my Dell Windows 7 64 bit with AMD Radeon 6700 Video card.
All the video tests passed with flying colors.
The sniffer rename trick fixed the problem.

In Photoshop CC whenever I try to apply blending options to a layer, an error message comes up.. In my error message log, this is what comes up

My auto updates are not working. I cannot find where to download Camera Raw 8.1 for Photoshop CS6.

My auto updates are not working! I cannot find where to download Camera Raw 8.1 for Photoshop CS6 (Windows 8 64 bit). My Camera Raw is now at 7.1. I had the online Adobe folks tell me to just download all updates manually. That's great, yet I cannot find camera raw 8.1 to download...

3D Mode Tool are not working in Photoshop CS6

Hello everyone. First, I want to tell you that I use ATI Radeon HD 6730M with 12.2 driver series. and I just found out that my Photoshop CS6 3D mode tool not working in advanced drawing mode, like this.
As well as normal drawing mode. Please help to fix this problem.

When you changed the options in the Preferences - Performance - Advanced Options section, did you close Photoshop and restart it before testing? That's necessary or you won't be testing what you think you are.
Assuming you have done so, if you have exhausted the various GPU options, I don't think you have any other options beyond waiting for a new and improved display driver. I suppose it's possible the Adobe folks might improve their code to make it work better on different setups, but generally speaking these kinds of things seem to be glitches in the display driver.
I just tried a similar operation to what you're doing on my Radeon HD 5670 with Catalyst 12.6 drivers and it seems to work okay.

Quartz filters are not working (for PDF)

It seems that quartz filters are not working for me under Mountin Lion. I have tried to export, print, etc everything in Preview, Automator, ColorSync. It simply won't apply the filters to my PDFs.
Anyone experienced similar issues? Is it a known bug?

I kinda have the same problem, except its only my custom filters that aren´t working in ColorSynch. The other filters get applied as usual, but I can not change any of the preformed filters within ColorSynch, and the "live update from filter inspector" doesn´t work if I try to apply changes or use my custom filters.
The custom filters I have, were created prior to my upgrade from snow leopard to moutain lion.
I´ve understood that there has been multiple problems with the filters in lion ++
If there isn´t a quick fix to this, does anybody know of any programs I can use to apply filters without having to buy Adobe Pro, my use is not for simply decreasing file size, but mostly for editing colors prior to prinitng. And its not sufficient to use the preformed filters unfortunately.

Have you checked whether you have folder for PSE Organizer? It is normally at this location in Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1:
<C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer>
If the folder is there then try double-clicking on the file called: PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe
If the folder isn't there at all then you need to re-install the package again using your original disks or from download from Adobe website. <Download Photoshop Elements products | 13, 12, 11, 10>

What kind of adjustments are you making? Where are you looking for the previews? If you're using select list of filters or color adjustments, have you enabled 'Preview' in the dialog box?

I have an I-mac with Max OS X vers. 10.6.8. Have tried to install both an old Photoshop 7.0 and an Photoshop Elements but it does not work. 7.0 I bought many years ago end the Elements came with a Canon scanner. What to do? Regards Peter Lindgren

Peter Lindgren do you receive any specific error messages when you attempt to install Photoshop 7 or Photoshop Elements? What version of Photoshop Elements are you installing?

You have posted in the wrong forum. You have posted in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing focus) instead of Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum (photo editing focus). And, then I am assuming that you meant Photoshop Elements 11 and not Photoshop 11.

While you are waiting for your thread to reach the Photoshop Elements Forum destination, I would ask
a. How is the Sketch/Photocopy Filter not working - you click on Photocopy and nothing happens...you click on Photocopy, the Photocopy workspace comes up, but the sliders do not function....or other?
I also have Photoshop Elements 11 on Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 64 bit and have no problems with the Photocopy Filter.
By the way, did you know that the results will depend on how you have Color Foreground and Background set?

NIK plugins are not working in LR 4

I have been using the BETA version for some time and I did not see this problem until I installed the released version of LR 4
The problem is that I cannot edit the images using my plugis from NIK software. ( I bought the complete collection about 3 months ago)
In the Beta version it was still OK.
Only the export plugin works (HDR from nik)
Also when I try to install the plugin again it only shows that it is compatible with LR3.
I just bought LR4 (since it worked in the BETA version)
Hope they will fix this soon. I also sent a message to NIK software.
anyone else has seen this problem

I use MAC OS-X 10.7.3
NIK plugins are the latest versions available.

Windows 7 64-bit SP1 machine here.
Yesterday, as most of you here, I had this error message with any
external editor, and I posted a message in this forum. At night, before
going to bed, I installed an evaluation version of Photoshop Elements
10. This morning I opened Lightroom and, TADA!, plugins work fine! So
definitely it is an Adobe problem, LR must be missing some piece of
software that PSE has; note that I did not open PSE at all after
installing it yesterday night, so it has added the missing part during
installation.
Hope this helps Adobe engineers to solve the problem.

It is not clear what you mean. Normally one does not generate a serial number, it is provided with the purchase.
