FIM Synchronization Service - How to provsion a group to another object type

Hi,
i'm new to fim and use just the fim2010 synchronization engine with some rules extensions.
I have 2 ActiveDirectories and want to Provision a Group(used as Distribution list) from ActiveDirectory A as a contact object in ActiveDirectory B with the SMTP address of the Group as the targetaddress of the contact.
Can you give me a hint how to accomplish that?
Should i use the ShouldProjectToMV() Method in the rulesextension from the AD Connector of Domain A and out the Group as a Special mvtype? How do i join (what anchor to use) the Group to Domain B if i also sync normal contact objects as well?
Thanks you for your help!

If you want to decide that object is deleted you need to implement your de-provisioning logic.
De-provisioning logic should be implemented in Provision method as well. You need there something like:
if(I_dont_have_contact_for_group)
Provison_new_one
} else
if(do_I_Have_email_on_my_group_in_mv)
No -> delete_contact_in_other_forest
Depends on the target agent scope, if you have there other object types than contacts, you may want to implement Deprovision() method in agent extension to decide that contact should be deleted but other type of objects not.

  • Fim Synchronization service 2010 r2

    hello,
    I am running FIM Synchronization service  with different management agents. sometimes thing goes wrong. how can i monitor those tasks? I want to use powershell for than because i have a lot of other hings that i monitor that way.
    is it possible to "GET" the status and dates with some kind of FIM cmdlets? or maybe via event log?
    third-party modules is no option.
    I hope one of u guys can point me in the right direction.
    Kind regards
    Harm Schutte

    Hi Harm,
    In addition to the FIM Cmdlets the FIM Synchronization Service event log also contains log entries when the Management Agent runs have warnings/errors. You would though need to filter down to the find the specific entries that you are after.
    If third party products/modules aren't an option you could also look at using a scheduled task that gets triggered based on particular events happening in the Sync Service log - I probably wouldn't recommend it though.
    Andrew.

  • How to make a group for selectd Object javascript

    How to make a group for selectd Object javascript

    There is currently no native way to email groups from iPad.
    The only way to do this is if your recipients are already members a a distribution group controlled elsewhere such as a Google Group or an  Exchange Organisation, then you can email the distribution group address which will then in turn forward to the individual email address of the members.
    Does it have to be email as currently you would have to add each recipient to the email manually.
    iOS to my knowledge doesn't support contact groups in context other than organisation.

  • FIM Synchronization Service doesn't start

    Hi,
    Recently we have migreated FIM database from the local SQL server to an SQL 2012 Cluster. I used the following guide to configure DB related settings. Things worked fine.
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/5465.fimilm-how-to-move-the-backend-sql-server-synchronization-service-database.aspx
    However after I uninstalled local SQL and rebooted the server FIM service doesn't start. The error message is:
    The Forefront Identity Manager Sychronization Service depends the following service: MSSQLSERVER. This service might not be installed. (Event ID 7003).
    How to fix this problem?
    Thank you for your help.

    I assume that you have uninstalled MS SQL Server, right? If so, please try the following:
    Remove MSSQLServer from the DependOnService Value Name, a REG_MULTI_SZ data type
    at HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\<ServiceKey>
    Run as admin - it would remove dependency from FIMSynchronizationService.
    Keep trying If you found my post helpful, please give it a Helpful vote. If it answered your question, remember to mark it as an Answer.

  • Physical service to invoke Oracle stored procedure taking an object type

    Hello,
    I have some stored procedures in Oracle that take a complex object type as parameters. Can I invoke these directly from ODSI? If so, how do I create the physical service for this?
    Example:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE "CCSUSERDV"."TEST_TYPE" as object (
    name varchar2(80),
    text varchar2(1000),
    some_other number
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE CCSUSERDV.TEST
    as
    function joinText(inVal in TEST_TYPE) return varchar2;
    end;
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY CCSUSERDV.TEST
    AS
    FUNCTION joinText(inVal in TEST_TYPE) return varchar2 AS
    BEGIN
    if (inVal.text is not null) then
    return inVal.name || '-' || inVal.text;
    else
    return inVal.name || ':' || inVal.some_other;
    end if;
    END;
    END;
    I Want to be able to call TEST.joinText from OSDI. I know I could create a separate function that takes all the attributes of my object, but it would be considerably more convenient to implement in terms of the object instead, because there are several functions that take the same set of about 20 fields as a request.
    Thank you!!
    Jeff

    (1) Your best bet is to create a wrapper stored procedure that takes simple arguments and constructs the object, then calls your stored procedure with the object. You call the wrapper stored procedure from ODSI. JPublisher can create wrapper stored procedures for you.
    (2) If it is impossible for you to create a wrapper stored procedure in the database, you can create a physical data service from the existing stored procedure. You will notice that the function in the physical data service will have simple arguments (not the object), and if you try to execute it, it will fail. It's up to you to write an anonymous pl/sql block that wraps the existing stored procedure (basically what you would have had to write for (1)), and edit the metadata in the physical ds - where it has the name of the stored procedure, replace the name with your anonymous PL/SQL block.
    Below is what the CREATE_BATCH stored procedure from Oracle Process Manufacturing would look like. (it also has CURSOR args - so it is uglier than just Objects). It also demonstrates that you need to do a conversion of boolean args.

  • How to pass an IN argument of object type from VB

    I need to call a PL/SQL function in Oracle 8.1.6 from VB. One of the IN arguments is an object type (TYPE). How would I instantiate the variable of Oracle object type on VB side so that it can be passed to the Oracle?
    Thank you

    Hi,
    Per the ODP docs,
    ODP.NET supports binding parameters of PL/SQL Associative Arrays which contain the following data types.
    +■ BINARY_DOUBLE+
    +■ BINARY_FLOAT+
    +■ CHAR+
    +■ DATE+
    +■ NCHAR+
    +■ NUMBER+
    +■ NVARCHAR2+
    +■ RAW+
    +■ ROWID+
    +■ UROWID+
    +■ VARCHAR2+
    It should work if you create a UDT to hold a varray of mdsys.sdo_geometry, for example.
    Hope it helps,
    Greg

  • How to trigger a form based on object type and process type

    Hi all,
    I am new into SRM.. I have been asked to develop a form by cloning an existing standard form..
    Using bbp_output_change_sf badi you can trigger the form by passing the object type but the scenario is such that depending on the object type and process type the new form should be triggered.
    The parameter iv_object_type passes the object type but how could i pass the process type ?
    In the badi I noticed an import parameter is_event that has a field called transction_type that carries the process type but this field never got populated when i checked using debugger.
    Please help as to how i can trigger the form based on the object_type and the process_type.
    Thanx in advance.

    Thanx again Jay Yang.. Well is there any possibility that you could get the items that were confirmed..
    Let me eleborate..
    Suppose in the PO u order an item for 10 nos and 5 gets confirmed and u return 2..
    Well in my case it is that i need to fill up a field Qty returned / Qty confirmed..
    I was able to get the number of items from the PO by passing the the passing the parameter to the FM "bbp_pd_conf_getdetaill"
    but i dont know how to get the number of items been confirmed..
    The quantity field in the line item structure gives me the number of items returned..
    Can u tell me how to get the number of items been confirmed....

  • Core Data Services in ABAP : No URI-Mapping defined for object type DDLS

    Hi ,
    When creating a DDL source , I get the error
    " No URI-Mapping defined for object type DDLS and object name ZCDSV_01_06".
    Can you please suggest what the issue could be?
    Thanks,
    Chakram Govindarajan

    Now I am able to proceed to the next step. Not sure how this started working. However, I get the below error when I open the DDL source editor for one particular ABAP system added in the eclipse environment. I however do not get the error when I open the DDL source editor for another system ( AH4) .I am providing the log error details . I updated the ADT installation. However the issue has not been resolved. Also I tried implementing the Note: 1834948. However I cannot find the option "Team -> Share project..." in the ABAP project.

  • How can we execute a procedure with object type as its parameter, by passing partial elements.

    It ISN'T possible. How could it be? Each attribute has to be set to something don't you think?
    A common way to handle that is to define a public package variable that is an instance of the object type and has ALL elements set to null. As Odie suggested a custom constructor function can be used for that.
    Then you create your procedure instance by starting with an instance of the package variable (where everything is null) and setting values for the attributes you need.

  • How does the MRP Group determine the Requirement Type

    Hello,
    I find in help that the MRP Group or the Strategy Group in the MRP view of the material master record determines what Requirement Type is used.
    Could you please tell me in which table / transaction can I find the assignment of Requirement Type to MRP Group? I mean it in case when the Strategy Group has not been maintained.
    I will appreciate your help very much.
    Best regards,
    Robert

    Dear,
    System will pick the requirement type from strategy group maintained in MRP 3 view of material master, If the strategy group is not maintained, then only system will check the MRP group In MRP1 view and check the strategy group maintained in OPPR
    Based on strategy Group- you can find the requirement type In IMG>production> Production Planning >Demand management> Planned Independent requirement -->Planning strategy -->Define strategy , From here you can find the requirement type and requirement class
    and then go to OVZG
    if the requirement class have a setting for costing - order costing and costing details, while saving the sale order system will update the cost of goods sold in condition EK02

  • How to place grouped items into another object with content collector tool?

    Is it possible to paste a group into another object (i.e. frame) by using the Content Collector Tool while linking the content?  Paste Into is either deselected or possibly whatever was last saved to the clipboard ends up inserting. I was able to place grouped, linked content into a frame (and later applied a scrollable frame overlay to it) once or twice but can't seem to repeat. Tried selecting the object being pasted into.. holding shift, holding ctrl, all kinds of options, just very confused now.

    Found a potential work-around (I think....).
    1. Use the Content Collector tool and select grouped objects
    2. Select Content Placer tool, check "Create Link"
