Final print completely different to layout in LR 5.3

Hi,
I use a Macintosh with mountain lion 10.8.5.
Until I started changing what layout I wanted the final print from my epson 7900 was ok. I had it as a customised A2 on A1 layout.
When I changed it to an A2 layout from the dropdown menu the final print was 609mm square and the image itself was near the left hand border in the middle and occupied only 25% of teh total area of teh paper. I tried different print sizes but they all came out the same.
I tried what an other forumite did and updated the firmware for the printer but thus made no difference.
When I opened an LR4.4 application that I still had I was able to print it on the custom setting for 609x 420mm without a problem.

There are two factors that can contribute to the coordinates being displaced or not being applied. I'm assuming here that you are using gps4cam to generate a tracklog and applying the tracklog to the images.
1. The camera time must be in exact sync with the phone time, including time zones. If you forgot to adjust for daylight savings time, or if the clock on the EOS-M got reset, that could be one source of this issue.
2. When using GPS witha smart phone, sometimes wifi hotspots are used for "greater accuracy" but occasionally a hotspot may be associated with an incorrect location.
Based on your details above, and the fact that we just changed clocks last month, I'm betting on #1.
For what it's worth, I use my EOS-M with an Eye-Fi SD card and that will allow me to record GPS data directly into XMP data without the use of a separate tracker app. It does wear down the battery faster, though.

Final print dimensions different to print preview

I have been trying to print A2 prints on a 24inch/615cm wide (A1) roll. The final sheet is square i.e. 615x615 with the image off centre. I have gone into page setup and checked everything and even the preview indicates all is well until I print and then the dimensions are all incorrect. Suggestions? Thanks.

Yes, your guess is correct. We have tried out the possibility of controlling the print from the user status configuration side of things, but as the user status is at an Operation level, the system status at the header level still gets set, confusing the user that a print was created.
Any other ideas / alternates ?

In adobe reader, I can't print from different trays?

Using Adobe Reader, I can't print from different trays on my Lexmark x954 printer. I've tried reinstalling the print driver (latest version) and reinstalling Adobe Reader with no luck. I can see the trays and even select them in the print dialog box in adobe but when I print I am unable to print from the correct trays. It always prints from tray 3 of my printer no matter what tray and type of paper I choose in adobe. Any suggestions?
I've also noticed a problem printing through Preview. I can select different trays using preview but the print time is extremely slow. It seems like it has to re-download the pdf page each time it goes to print. So a 100 page print job takes 20-30 minutes to complete which means other have to wait for my job to complete so it really slows our office down.

DVDSP2 Final Print "Flickering"?

I'm running into a problem with DVDSP2 where my preview looks great (in simulator) but my final build produces a subtle yet annoying flickering effect during playback. My audio was encoded using A.Pack and my video was pre-encoded, using Compressor 1.2.1 (using the 90 minute / high quality preset).
Again, the preview looks perfect - but once I build / format, the final print flickers. I'm wondering if I need to set something in the Encoding preference panel? Currently it's set to Two Pass VBR / 7.0 MBPS (which is a little different than the Compressor preset). Does DVDSP even do any "additional" encoding if a video file was pre-encoded in Compressor?
Thanks gang - I'm on a super-tight deadline, any advice would be appreciated. Please don't make me resort back to iDVD - I like my own menus..

Interesting - what I did to cure the problem is I re-built / formatted the DVD, but this time under Prefs > Encoding, I set Encode Mode to "One Pass". Nothing was done differently between the last bad/flickering version and the new/non-flickering version. The exact same .m2v video file was used. My thinking was since I pre-encoded the video using Compressor, that maybe something was getting hit twice - but based on your statement above, that's probably not the case.
I'll run some more tests - I'd like to see if I can repeat the problem & solution exactly. I'll report back if I find anything more conclusive.
Also, in the end, I created a fine looking DVD last Thursday, and the movie was a huge success at its first screening.

My online number I have purchased with skype and have had for almost 1year. Recently I have been told by numorous people that when I call them a completely different number is showing up on there caller ID. I am unsure what to do please help. Thanks

Have you enabled Caller ID for your Skype account? Online Numbers are not automatically used as Caller ID when calling telephones from a Skype account. You should be able to go into your Skype program - or log into your account on the Skype web page - and enable Caller ID. Note that not all Online Numbers can be used for Caller ID.

If you have not enabled Caller ID for your Skype account, callers may see numbers that do not look like a "normal" phone number showing up when you call them. Depending on where you call, callers may still not see your Online Number on their Caller ID once you enable that on your Skype account.

lecture is an Element, toString() is not implemented, so print correctly displays some fuzzy pointer information, nothing more...

Are the default key commands completely different in L9 compared to L8?

I have had to reset my key commands to the defaults, and seem to have lost all my old key commands.
My commands with Logic 8 were the absolute default ones (I didn't change any of them!!) - here are some of the ones I used a lot:
Pressing 0 on the numeric keyboard was always stop. "/" on the numeric keyboard was always cycle on/cycle off.
Pressing control and using the up/down/left/ right arrows (the ones in between the QWERTY keyboard and the number pad) always zoomed in and out, vertically and horizontally respectively...
Pressing the "C" key was always click on/click off. Now it's cycle on/off.
My question is... can someone confirm that the Logic 9 default key commands are completely different, and that these shortcuts above have all gone?
I know I can set them up again, I guess I'm just puzzled that so many of the main commands would completely change their defaults for L9!

Some of the more in-depth key commands have changed slightly , but the standard ones are still the same.
Most of these you've described are ( or should be still ) exactly the same.
Make sure that you are still using the standard keyboard layout and language in *'Apple/system preferences/international/input menu'*
Mine swiched to German a few months ago and I had no idea what was going on.

SAP Script Lineitems printing in different pages

Hi All,
I'm having a strange problem. I've created Sap Script for Goods Receipt form.
For Material Document(60000201) which is having 2 line items its printing both line items on same page, Other Material Document(60000205) which is also having 2 line items, each line item is printing in different page(each line item is printing in new page).
I check main page is having enough space.
Both the Material document are printing through same Text element.
Print program is SAP standard, I've created only layout.
I have used /: Protect /:EndProtect for displaying line items.
searched in google as well, but couldnt find correct solution.

Where do I find info on how to print on different size projects?

I'm not sure if I'm posting this on the correct board or not. My question is where do I find instructions on how to print on different size papers such as, envelopes and postcards both addresses and return addresses. I know how to print the body of my postcards since I use Windows Publisher but I'd rather not have to use labels. It would be so much faster and more professional to print the addresses and return addresses directly on the postcards and envelopes. I've owned many HP printers and have always been able to do that but can't seem to set my Deskjet 8500 910A.

I am happy to help you with your issue regarding printing on envelops. The printer software doesn't carry the functionality to create envelope documents. You will use a word processor for completing this such as, Microsoft word. In Microsoft Word (or a like word processor) it will give you the option to create an envelope with the send from and send to address sections.

Droid DNA SIM card issue--I want to be issued a completely different phone.

So as most (if not all) Droid DNA users are aware--there's a BIG problem with the device/software. The updates aren't fixing it like they are supposed to, in fact for me the errors are worse than ever! A simple restart won't even get rid of it so I have to do it 5 times before it finally goes away. I don't want to be issued another Droid DNA that is going to be just the same with the same issue (thats simply a waste of my time and frankly the Droid DNA has already wasted enough of my time already)
I want verizon to issue me a completely different phone, because when I paid for my phone I paid a lot of money for a phone that I thought would work 24/7--but no, this phone is obviously defective. And I DO NOT want to deal with this for another 2 yrs.
SO my question is---I know I'm not the only one out there that feels this way, has anyone talked to verizon about issuing them a completely different phone free of charge or paying the difference (in the event the cost would be more for a particular phone during the 2 yr contract renewal)

So I wanted to give you all an update, I finally decided to do a chat with a verizon online rep--I refuse to go to a store in fear that I might blow up. I guy I talked to was understanding to the issue and told me what I needed to do..do I like what he said? No, but I was at least happy he understood the frustration and actually ACKNOWLEDGED that this is indeed an issue.
This is basically what he said in a nut shell:
1) Do a factory reset--supposively that will help with the software update
      I backed all my pictures/contacts up on goggle+ and all your apps will be in google play (all except my candy crush           extra lives which I thought was odd/conspiracy)
    RESULT: same error times 5.
          I expressed my hate in having to do the reset but I'm basically going to have to back all my stuff up anyways if I get           a new phone
2) Request a replacement phone--because I spoke to him thru the chat our conversation can be saved to my profile so whoever assits me next will be able to pick up where we left off---I find this to be EXTREMEMLY CONVENIENT! (you can also have the convo emailed to yourself for reference)
    RESULT: Haven't done this yet but I'm waiting for the chat to become avail so I can request a replacement. But I'm              assuming it will NOT work.
3) Once they replace the phone and in the event I still get the error I have to contact HTC and they will have to replace my phone, Verizon apparently cannot do anything after that.
       I want to say I'm made as all get out but I guess I understand that its a HTC issue and not so much a Verizon                      issue..they are basically just stuck in the middle. Do I agree with having to contact HTC--NO. But at this point I will           do whatever I have to do to get a new phone because I HATE THIS PHONE.
My recommendation--Use the so you can have reference and evidence of the issues and evidence for HTC that you have done everything possible to get this resolved.

We went through my friend's phone and my daughter's email and phone number are not in it. I have never given my daughter's iphone number to my friend. Is it something to do with gmail or my apple id? My daughter (14) has been using my computer as her "base" for HER Iphone.
My friend does use her iphone number as an email address as well.
For instance: her phone number might look like this: (493) 305-3958
and her email address would look like this: [email protected]
If I Iphone/email my friend, she receives it as a text message. Then if she replies to that text message, it goes to my daughter's phone and not mine. It's completely crazy! We searched her phone contacts and did not find my daughter's phone number anywhere or attached anywhere to mine. Since when does Iphone emailing wind up in the text messaging area?

I bought a Mac Mini for the family but there's something very odd. Windows looks completely different and I'm completely confused. Is this because of Windows 8? How do I get back to my old Windows!

Windows looks completely different and we can't use the computer. We're flumoxed, we did some research and read about this new version of Windows - is this the problem? Is there a way to revert to the older version of Windows? Apple has shot themselves in the foot with this change. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Macs don't come with Windows. They come with OS X. If you want Windows, you'll need to install it yourself, or return the Mac and buy a PC.

When in google it pulls up the results as soon as i click on a result it takes me to a completely different page

say for instance if i search "bob the builder" in google it pulls up search results for "bob the builder" of course the official page is the first link. so i click on the official page link and it redirects me through a goingonearth.com and through one or two others and i end up on something completely different every time, like hair salons in new jersey or wheres the best place to eat and stuff like that. i realize it may be a search hijacker but ive ran hijack scanners they havent found anything ive reset all the settings manually disabled all addons, ive scanned my pc with MBAM (malware bytes and malware software) system mechanics pro McAfee and a microsoft antvirus spyware and malware scanner, and they all find nothing. what can i do to rid my pc of this stupid problem so i can use my beloved firefox browser again?

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />

Is it possible to print 2 different forms to 2 different printers from one program?
Example: a Shipping invoice and a Shipping Label (mailing sticky label)
Could they be a combination for form types? SAP Script and SMARTFORMS, SAP Script and PDF, SMARTFORMS and PDF
I have a need to print a Shipping Invoice and Label from a single program. I need to beable to print multiple copies of the label at the same time for multiple shipping packages. i.e. 1 of 4, 2 of 4 etc.
The users want to select print a single invoice and the neccessary labels from a single transaction request.

How can I print mulitple different .ai files onto one page in Illustrator CS6?

How can I print mulitple different .ai files onto one page in Illustrator CS6? I have all of the files organized by Arrange Documents>Tile All in Grid and I would like to print the files in this format so that they can all be seen at once when printed out onto one page.
Some background is that I have 16 different cad drawings that I have converted and edited in illustrator. I'd like to basically make a contact sheet with all 16 drawings so that they can be reviewed on one sheet of paper after printing. But each drawing is in it's own unique file, and I have not figured out how to put them all onto one page for printing.

You can place them (linked) into a new Illustrator file and print from there.
The original files will need pdf compatability.
