Find and item Search not working inside custom list in sharepoint 2013

In Sharepoint 2013 , i configured the Search. it is working in home page search Box and Find item search box inside custom list as well But one particualr custom list Find an item is not working. Any clue ?Thanks in Advance

Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is “find an item” search box in a custom list not work in your environment.
As search box and “find an item” search box in your home page are working, so the search service application is working.
Do you have any customzation to the particular custom list ?
If No, I suggest you can full crawl the data in Central Administration ->Manage Service Application->” Search Service Application”-> Manage Content Sources” to test if it works.
Also, please check if you have set "Allow items from this list to appear in search results" in list settings->Advanced Setting to true

this link you should be able to access this option from the Items tab. for this to work, the Analytics Processing Component needs to be running.

My finder and Menubar are not working.

My Finder is not working, I can open it, but when I type anything in the search bar, it looks for a little bit and then says 0 Items at the bottom of the window. Also if I go to the left hand side of the finder and click on the 'All Movies' file for example Finder crashes. (The Desktop Icons, menubar and dock disappear, the finder window closes and then the Desktop Icons, menubar and dock come back)
Also The right hand side of my menu bar is frozen and whenever I hover the cursor over it, it shows the spinning beach ball.

The startup disk may need repairing.
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utillities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If DU reports errors, start up from your Mac install disc to make repairs.

Wiki pages and document Search not working

Hi All,
I have lot of wiki pages and Documents in my site collection , I try to search those but its not working .
I tried to fix this issue .
I create a new search service application , and new content source with my new SharePoint site and start the continuous crawl.
after I create a new sup site as enterprise search center in my existing site collection , than I try to search my documents and wiki pages , but nothing is shown on my results , but I can see all other documents and wiki pages (its all posted in different
web application with site collections) because am the owner of all site collections , I got below error when I try to check the crawl logs in my new content source, please see the below log and let me know what I have to do now.

Spotlight and mail searches not working, but...

I contacted Apple Support by phone and they had me go through all of the procedures to re-index the meta data and so on on my iMac and still my Spotlight and Mail searches are not working properly. (I cannot find certain files even though I know they exist...more often than not!) Supposedly, when I "forced" a re-index operation by going to Spotlight Preferences and changing Privacy settings for the entire hard disk and then changing them back, the Spotlight icon on the top right of the menubar was supposed to indicate that re-indexing was taking place, but that never happened. It seems that I possibly have a corrupt metadata file which just won't re-index, or some kind of permission changed which doesn't allow re-indexing to happen, or SOMETHING like that.
Is there a singular hidden "index" or metadata file on the Mac under Lion where this information is stored, can I get at it so I can trash it, and if I do, will the computer automatically rebuild a new index file (if such a singular file even exists)?
I asked this question at a semi-local Apple Store Genius Bar as well, and they were scratching their heads. I have not yet brought the machine in to the store --- if I can avoid that lengthy step, I'd much prefer to fix this here in my office. (The machine works fine otherwise, and I need it here all the time, it's just that searching doesn't work)
I have also tried a re-install over the existing OS (leaving all my apps and documents in place), but have not tried a complete erase-and-install installation. I have a complete Time Machine backup of the entire drive, but the question remains...if I use Apple Migration Assistant to bring the apps and documents back in from Time Machine after doing a "clean" install on a wiped-clean hard drive, won't Time Machine also restore the old metadata that I suspect is corrupt? If so, how would I go about restoring all of my apps and documents without the use of the Migration Assistant or the Time Machine backup file (which may contain a corrupt index file)? If I do a hard drive clone with one of the available utilities dedicated to that purpose, how do I restore JUST the things I need (including serial numbers, etc) without risk of bringing over "bad" index files?
By the way, this machine was running Snow Leopard for well over a year before I upgraded to Lion, with no searching problems whatsoever.
Thanks for any help that anyone might be able to provide. I know I ask a lot of questions, but I don't want to go through the lengthy cloning of my hard drive and then doing a "clean" install and then be saddled with the same problem again.

SAP SCRIPT Header text and Item text not printing in customized PO

Hello Experts,
                      I have copied the standard MEDRUCK to ZMEDRUCK and customized the form according to the requirement.
I want to print the header text and Item text in my form.
For Header text I have used :

Problem 1: The text what I enter in header text is flowing only when I hit on print preview without saving the form. Once I save the SAP SCRIPT and click on print preview the field is appearing blank. I also tried to print the form, but the field is appearing blank even on the print out.
Problem 2: For item text the field is concatenation of EBELN & EBELP. Can anyone suggest me how to concatenate and fetch the text in item text.

WP8.1 MDM Restrictions - Voice record and safe search not working as expected

I'm having some issues with the new restrictions -
Voice recording
After setting Experience/AllowVoiceRecording to 0, voice recording no longer works as expected in the Nokia recorder app, however you can still voice record from other apps such as One note. Is this expected or should this restriction be applied at
OS level?
Safe search level
Setting Search/SafeSearchPermissions to 0 or 1 causes the UI in settings > search for the level to be greyed out and states that it is disabled - but it does not show the correct level set. It seems this restriction is not working or the values
I am using are incorrect.

Hi Scott,
I was checking the documentation and it seems vague. However, I have a few thoughts...
Are you running this as PolicyManager/My/<Area>/<policy name> or PolicyManager/Device/<Area>/<policy name>? In Windows Phone 8.1, the PolicyManager configuration service provider is new. "My" path handles the policy configuration
request coming from the server and "Device" is a read only path to reflect the plicy values that are enforced at the device.
I would check to insure that you've set it up in the correct area. To troubleshoot, you could also try setting it up in either the opposite area and/or both areas.

Java Script Code not working properly for visios in sharepoint 2013

Hi all ,
I have few visios and I am using the visio web part to display and to redirect from one visio to other visio I am using the java script code through content editor web part .
In share point 2010 it's working fine , I was able to redirect to all the visios and code is working fine .
In share point 2013 its not the same , Its not working properly . only for the first time the code is working fine . once it goes to next visio the code stops working .
For example if i click in visio A it gets redirect to Visio B and its stops working , it wont allow to do any other steps .
I have checked with the URL its correct , I am not able to find any error also .

This will be likely caused by the Minimal Download Strategy not registering the Javascript on the page reload. You can turn off the MDS feature to test this.
You can either turn off MDS in your site, or register your Javascript functions with MDS to ensure they are called. To do this, you'll need all of your code to be wrapped in a javascript file (Embed this on the page using a <script> tag and
inside that file in a function, which you then register with MDS as follows (I usually do this in the first line of the javascript file):-
RegisterModuleInit("/SiteAssets/YourJavaScriptFile.js", NameOfYourFunction);

Document library items are not displaying in sorted order in sharepoint 2013

I have a document library , I am storing document sets on it.
28326 items are there in the library.
I have configured sort on Name columns. Initially items are displaying in sorted order like (A,B,C,D,E...)
Now Items are not displaying in a sorted order it is displaying like (A, B,C,D,E,A,C...) like this.
Please help me on this sorting issue.

Are the documents displaying in your image inside the document sets? If so then your sets (folders) are displaying in alphabetical order and the documents inside the sets are displaying in alphabetical order. This is what i would expect.

MDX not working in Power View on sharepoint 2013

I have this MDX statement below that should be able to dynamically give me a % of total for any dimension. IN power View (sharepoint 2013)
I am getting an error. It works in Excel and works in the AS browser but will not seem to work in power view. Any ideas on how to rewrite it so that it may work. I am surprised I cannot find anything on this online about this issue.

I have added two separate MDX statements that should get the individual % for these two separate dimensions.
1. First does it look correct from what your saying individually. Would you write it different?
2. Next can you show me the MDX that would combine them into 1 measure. Once I can see how these two get combined into 1 measure I should be able to do this for the rest of the dimensions.
3. Will Power View ever allow Axis function? Just seems strange that it works in Excel Pivot but not in Power View.

How to link Discussion Board with Custom list in sharepoint 2013

I have a custom list, which have collection of goals. and i have an discussion board for discussions about those goals from that custom
list... so how can i link between those two. what my expectation is, if I select a "goal" from custom list, then the collection of discussions that related to goals will displays on other side... and i have added a lookup column in discussion
board that refer the goal name in the custom list so i am relating goal name between these two.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to click the ‘discuss’ column in the custom list to navigate to the associated discusstion. Is it right?
You can do as the followings:
Open your custom list
Create a new column, the type is Hyperlink or Picture, select Format URL as: Hyperlink
Navigation to a discussion, copy the URL of the discussion
Back to the custom list, and new an item
Type the title, and paste the URL copied in step 3 under ‘Type the web address:’, type a name for the description of the url
Click Save
In my testing, the result is :
If I click ‘first discussion’, it will open the ‘first’ discussion.

Setting up records management for a custom list in SharePoint 2013

In a workflow 2013, I am planing to 'declare a record' on a custom list. I am doing this since I do not want users to be able to change the custom list once the record is submitted to workflow 2013.
There are options in record declarations settings that I am not certain what to set like what values are appropriate in 'declaration of records can be performed by'.
Since I am my own administrator on my test SharePoint 2013 website, would you tell me what I can do at the administrator's site level to enable the 'mark a record and/or declare a record feature? Basically I would like to know what options to set for a custom
list so the records can not be modified once the custom list has been submitted to the workflow.

'Find and replace' does not work in 5.2.2!

When I use 'find' in 5.2.2 it tells me e.g. that there are 9 occurrences of a particular item, but it will not allow me to navigate to them, either by using the return key, or by using the forward and back arrows or by using cmd + G. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Thank you for your reply. However, it doesn't solve my problem! I have a 42 page document of over 9000 words, including 6 pages of endnotes. If I place the cursor in the main part of the document and search for the text string 'Miguel de Cervantes', Find identifies 9 occurrences (all of which occur in the endnotes), but does not allow me to navigate to them, either using the forward/back arrows, or command + G or shift + command + G. If I place the cursor in the endnotes and search for the same text string Find allows me to navigate to the first occurrence of the text string but not to the remainder. I have experimented by searching for other words, and it seems that, while Find works ok for terms located in the main part of the document it does not allow you to navigate to results if the word or text string is in the Endnotes. This was never an issue in Pages 09. It does seem that there is a bug in the software here.
