Hi,
go to the ECC system -> enter the tcode- RSA5 -> Select the SAP R/3 -> expand all node (select expand button form the toll bar)
then go to find option -> give the data source names.

Hi Pushpa,
Although in my system its not includede to any of the object. Following is a way to find out related objects.
Goto RSA1 -> Business Content -> Select Grouping Option "In data flow before and after" and drag the info object to right hand side . After this system should display the list of objects in which this KF is used.

Unable to find infosource

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to create 3.x infosource to posting period info object (unassigned category). when i try to create infosource for 0fiscper3 in 3.x it was initially successfull. but i am not able to find it in my infosource tree. when i tried to create another then it says the infosouce is already there. i check all nodes and unassigned nodes too and used all kinds of search but still i dont find it. am i missing something here ?

If its generated object then check this setting...
RSA1 --> settings --> Display Generated Objects .... Select "Show generated objects" option if not already checked.

How to find infosource/datasource for master data.....

i would like to know how to find the infosource/datasource for the master data in RSA1, i have looked for in infosources options to find master data infosource, say for example 0material, 0fiscalyear /0fiscperiod. i was not able to find but in the process chains the data is getting loaded into it. i could see the data going from monitor screen to the selection screen of the master data and then click on execute button and data is present.
secondly when i have clicked on the respective infoobject i was not able to find any requests under requests tab???????

Here go to top screen ...or find the control icon thru cntl +F
here enter your infosource/infoobject name......
Double click on the result and it will show the infosource...under that infopackage

Purchase Contracts infosource 0BBP_TD_CONTR_1

While looking through BI business content, I ran across the infosource 0BBP_TD_CONTR_1, which sounded interesting. I can find it listed in the Metadata Repository on our BW system (Netweaver 2004s), however I cannot find it using RSA5 in our R/3 system (4.71) or in the BW system. A couple of questions:
1) Is this infosource only available in R/3 systems higher than 4.7? Would any plug ins make this datasource available on a 4.71 system? Our current PI level is 2004_1_470 0013, PI Basis is 2006_1_620 006.
2) Does this infosource replace a multitude of the LIS infosources for contracts, or does it just transfer data between infoproviders within the BW system?

The reason that you're unable to find this DataSource in your R3 source system is because it's a standard content DataSource for SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM) and is therefore not part of R3.
This doesn't replace the Purchasing DataSources, which are part of the LO extractors.

I want extract the GLT3 table data, I found the above Datasource but, I am not able to find in the RSA5 trasaction code in R/3

Unlike most DataSources, the 3FI_SL_XX_TT (where XX refers to the Special Ledger - in your case 09 it appears) DataSources have to be generated, instead of being activated in RSA5. To generate the 3FI_SL_XX_TT DataSource for Special Ledger 09 in your ECC source environment, do the following:
1) Go to tcode BW01 in your source ECC environment to generate the DataSource for Special Ledger totals (and line items if you so choose). Be sure to read and follow the directions in a popup that appears when you first enter this transactiont. Basically your refreshing two SAP delivered tables in order to use enhanced functionality for Special Ledger.
2) Upon successful generation of the DataSource, you will then want to create the InfoSource for the Ledger by going to tcode BW03 in your source ECC environment.

Load 0CALMONTH hierarchy without infosource?

Hi,
in our system 0CALMONTH is maintained with hierarchies and we see entries exist for 0CALMONTH.
But, interestingly, we couldn't able to find infosource for 0CALMONTH.
Could someone please let us know how this could be possible?
How 0CALMONTH hierarchy has entries without infosource?
( I read documentation & How-To document about loading hierarchy from flatfile using infosource).
Is there a way to add more entries into 0CALMONTH without infosource?
Is "loading hierarchy from flat file using infosoruce" the only way to load an hierarchy?

well, I am manually trying to maintain hierarchy by adding new nodes from months 6/2008 to 12/2008 (currently,hierarchy is maintained with nodes until 5/2008).
--> I'm in the maintainance screen of hierarchy.
--> right click on top node & I selected insert characteristic (0calmonth)
--> Here, I expect to be able to select months from 6/2008 - 12/2008
But, in the pop-up window values, I don't see these months listed. How can I insert these months?
Please note that /BI0/SCALMONTH & /BI0/RCALMONTH tables are filled with these months.
Is "transferring gloabl settings" the only way for this?

Transfer Structure activation

Hi all
I need to execute a specific Infopackage in the Quality System . However , When i try to open the infopackage it gives a message saying " transfer structure not yet active " . When I go to the Transfer structure and try to activate it , i get a message saying " Cross Client customising not allowed " .
Can anyone please help me resolve this issue . I am pretty new to BIW .

hi,
you have to transport the transfer structure/rule from Dev system. your QA is set to not allowed changes.
to transport, logon to Dev system, transaction rsa1 >> transport connection >> choose 'object types' in left frame then find 'infosource' in middle frame and expand, click 'select object' and entry your infosource where the trasnfer structure belongs to. make sure the source system is marked in 'source system assignment' (click yellow box with X), choose 'in dataflow before' for grouping and collection mode 'manual'. expand the infosource, make sure the transfer structure is there and marked. create request and transport.

Yes it uses 3.x dataflow.
Check the hierrachy datasources for eg which ends with hier ...like attr,txt etc.
You can find them in RSA5 and activate
In case of Generic ones you need to create in RSO2 .

how to know which object is in which transport request

try with transaction se01 then clic on the tools icon under the menu you will get a list of function.
then select search for object in transport request (maybe the text is a bit different) then enter information like for example R3TR OSOA and the name of a datasource. if you don't know the meaning of R3TR use the match code and use it also for objects you want to find infosource infoobject etc... don't forget to mark the flag select if your transport request is released or not and then execute you will get the list of all transport requests containing your search object.

About settings in BI7

Dear Gurus,
I am trying to work on settings (RSA1) in BI7 system. I wanted to set the option "display generated objects " to on. But I am not finding that option there i am able to see only "Global Settings " there. May I know if there is any other way to set that option in BI7 system?

Are you looking for your infosource 8cube - go to infosources tab on left and search using 8CUBE - ull find Infosource & the infopackage..

Problem with activating datasource in BI7

i am using BI7 and ECC6. iwas generating data source using genrice view.....
when i replicate in BI i find the data source but i find it activation icon disabled.
how can i activate the data source please guide

Hi Satish,
If it is standard DS, you should be able to find it in RSA5. If it is a Generic Datasource, goto RSA6 trans in source system. Click the cursor on main node. Then Click on Expand(Top left button)> Now search for your DS. Once u find it, select change DS> Activate DS.
Then in BW system as you are alreday able to see the DS> Right click> Replicate Metadata--> goto Change mode --> Activate. Then you will have to activate your transformations as well.

I'm working on infocube 0pp_c03 and the datasources which go with it are 0pp_wccp, 2lis_04_s281, and 2lis_04_p_arbpl and I'm not able to find them in rsa6, and I therefore can't find them in rsa5. So what shall I do inorder for me to install them into bw...

How to modify customer generated DataSource?

Hi Experts,
I have a DataSource "1ZICM_DOCSE" which currently extracts some of the fields from source table "ZICM_DOCSE". After some investigation, I discover that some necessary fields from the table are missing in the extraction structure.
Questions:
1. Since the name of the DS starts with 1 (SAP namespace), I supposed that it is a business content DS. However, I could not find it in RSA5 but only in RSA6. Why is it so? Is it a customer generated DS?
2. In RSA2, it shows that the extraction method is "F1 Function Module (Complete Interface)". When I double click on the extractor "ZICM_EXTR_DOCSE", ABAP editor is shown with the header indicating "This file has been generated. Never change it manually!". How do we generate an extractor in source system?
3. In this case, how can I modify the extraction structure to include more fields from the source table?

1. Judging from your input I assume that this DS "1ZICM_DOCSE" is a customer generated DS. Am I right? How is the DS generated? via a standard SAP program?
2. When I go to RSO2 and try to display the DS, I get following message.
DataSource 1ZICM_DOCSE is extracted using functional module ZICM_EXTR_DOCSE
Message no. RJ042
Diagnosis
Data from DataSource 1ZICM_DOCSE has been extracted using function module ZICM_EXTR_DOCSE.
If you edit and save the DataSource by maintaining generic extraction, extraction no longer takes place
using this function module, but is performed by a database view, a transparent table, a functional area
of SAP query, or a self-defined extraction module.
If 1ZICM_DOCSE is included in the deliverd SAP Content, you can activate extraction using function module
ZICM_EXTR_DOCSE again by transferring this Content with transaction RSA5 or the IMG.
I cannot display as well as change the DS in RSO2.
3. Since the FM is generated, why should we change it? The changes will be overwritten once the FM is generated again, right?

Extractor for userid name

hi gurus ,
Is there anyone who know the extractor used to load text for info object : 0CRM_CTD_By and 0CREATEDBY . I need in reports to get the name of the user who create the document in source system. I don't find anything in RSA5 .

Usually All the Data sources has a field like Created on (document date) but Created By is a doubt, as far I know You have to go with Generic Data source for the field and make sure that the Field is there in your Table.
You can take ABAP Team help in creating a generic table with the required fields.
