Find Object.vi function of 3D picture control - when object not found

I am using Labview 8.2, and this post is regarding the 3D Picture Control.
I am wanting to make use of the "Find Object" VI to either return a reference to a named object, or otherwise determine that it does not exist yet. However, if I call it with the name of an object that doesn't exist yet (i.e. just any random string), it returns an error message that arises from the attempt to release a queue (the reference to which gets lost when crossing a zero-iteration For Loop's tunnels), instead of an error message that says "Object not found" which I would find much more useful. With a simple modification of the "Find Object.vi" function, this behaviour can be changed, by replacing the For Loop's tunnels with shift registers.
The problem with the current function is that the error is not an intentionally thrown error, rather just the result of the queue's refnum being set to the default 0 as it "exits" the For Loop, since in the situation that an object is not found, the code passes a 0 to the N terminal.

I agree with you - the current way of handling the case of an object not being found does not appear to be ideal.
This was reported to R&D (# 43D8GSVQ) for further investigation.

Hi,
The VIs used to load a VRML file are only included in the Full Development System version of LabVIEW according to the help. If you do not have a Full Development System License you won't be able to find those VIs.
You can find them under : Programming » Graphism and sound » 3D Picture control » File loading (sorry for the bad translation I have French version).

How can I run graphic object on report. ( I got REP-1246 Chart not found)

I made a report that consists a chart object. When I run it on report builder, it works well. But When I call the report from client side, I got "Rep-1246 Char Document not found" . I tried to solve it , I couldn't solve the problem . If I delete chart object from report , then report works well on client side. I didn't use graphics builder to create graphs I used only report builder to do it. I read the threads about it , but I couldn't find the solution. All solutions are about path of graphic file. I don't understand it. Because I only have *.rdf *.rep file. There is no any graph file in my system. I can create it in graphic builder but I don't know how can I deploy the graph object into report layout and run ?
I need urgent help ..

Hi again , I used developer 2000. In order to show graphic object on report firstly
I created my graphic object on oracle graph builder.After that I save it like mygraph.OGD . Then I added graphic object on report builder by using graphic object on report builder. When you click the graphic object you will see CHART FILENAME part in part of CHART. In this field , you should add graphic file path that you created on graphic builder. I added mygraph.OGD into this filename part. I worked well.

I've had ELPH100HS for 2 years. Up until now, everytime I transferred pictures to my computer, a camera icon would appear when I connected the camera via USB to the PCU. But, recently, the icon is missing, but I hear the bleep (connecting sound) I always have. However, I am unable to transfer pictures to the computer. The message that keeps popping up is "support device not found." I can't find my discs or my manufacturer's book that came with the camera. What should I do? Thanks. RAY

Also check the files you are trying to upload - especially image files - for spaces or special characters in the file name.

Export of pictures - original raw data not found

Hello everyone,
I have been trying to export a few pictures. But I always get the error, that the orginal folder could not be found. So Lightroom just creates an empty folder without exporting any of the pictures.
I have attached a sreenshot of the txt file with the error and the location of the not found folder, which is exactly the same as the stated location in the error code.
ANd I have already worked with Lightroom where I didn't have any problems exporting the files. So I am left without any clue..

Yes there were exclamation marks and I just had to click on them and give in the directory again.

Firefox 4 is not appearing in Task bar or some times it is Disappearing from task bar when i am minimising the window. so, i had to go to Task manager and find the icon.Its becoming big messy if tabs are not found , to switch programmes.

I am unwilling to attempt navigation away from these sites. The pop-ups that occur on the attempt to leave a site or to close the browser are exit traps offering incentive to stay.
Once upon a time, when the internet was less dangerous, I would be willing to close the exit pop-ups. Now, after twice being infected with malware trying to close the pop-ups, I now force close whichever browser I am using.
Recently, I clicked on the red X to close one pop-up, and it installed a trojan that I had to pay to be removed. When I clicked on 'Leave' in another exit pop, it didn't exit and it turned out I was giving permission to run a script file. Now that criminals have learned these exit pop-ups can be used to force a click action, the sites using them have become dangerous.
If I force the browser to close using Task manager, Please tell me how to stop FireFox from sending me directly back to the same site because it mistakenly believes it crashed when it did not. I forced it to close because I was on a site that had taken control of my browser and was not allowing me to leave the site.
No other browser sends me back to the potentially dangerous sites. I prefer Firefox, but the new version must have a setting that allows me to get safely away from a problem site?

Clound control 12c : database not found

Hi oracle aces,
I've installed could control in a redhat host (OMS and AGENT, both installed and running ok)
the host contains two databases : the repository database for EM and the database I want to monitor (same ORACLE_HOME, both are configured in tnsnames.ora)
The problem is i'm not able to add the database, the host is recognized in cloud control, i've tried both "search" and "manually adding" targets
Is there a way to add this database ? or it is mandatory to install OMS and the repository database on a separate machine ?

Need help scanning in Pictures:hp 4500-pics not found/trying to open scanning session

I have successfully scanned once with my hp 4500 printer, but once images are scanned nothing happens. They are not in iphoto even though I scanned them to pictures folder. When I open the printer scanner icon it says "trying to open scanning session" and remails here indefinitely. HELP!

Regardless of selecting pictures, or iphoto, once that first scan is done, the pics are not there and no other scans can be done afterwards without the printer/scanner locking up and saying trying to open scanning session. In image capture my printer scanner is not visible, the printer is visible however as a desktop icon.

Take a look at this color model software I put together. (Don't concern yourself much with the basic programming at this point.). The color component generator subVI is borrowed from a LabVIEW example.
First look at test_color2.vi. If you adjust the sliders of the various controls, you will see how it works. You can see that for pure B&W images, brightness, contrast, and gamma (which I think I have coded correctly) are all fairly straightforward to modify.
Now look at test_color3.vi. Here we try to adjust BCG for color images using the color model shown here where current color component clusters are carried into the BCG event cases via shift registers. You can see that once color is introduced into the image, it becomes difficult to mix the colorizing with the BCG model. And this is pretty much where I am right now.
Would be interested in comments / suggestions.

How can I determine mouse position within a 2D picture control

I have an application where I'd like the user to be able to interact with objects drawn in a 2D picture control using the mouse. In order to do this, I need to translate between screen coordinates, which are passed with the mouse events, and coordinates in the 2D picture control.
The problem I'm running into is that I can't find a way to determine the screen coordinate of the upper left hand corner of the 2D picture control's drawing/client area. I tried using the picture control's "Position" property, but this results in an offset due to the difference between the upper left hand corner of the picture control (including the label, etc.) and the upper-left hand corner of the drawing area. See attached VI.
Does anybody know how to get the screen coordinate of the corner of the picture control's drawing area?

Memory Leak with Picture Control

I posted an example that inserts 130 FP object images in a picture and moves them around (it is a random walk where each object is assigned a letter and the program terminates when all of the letters required to spell out "Hello World" wander into the trap at the bottom.)
A snippet of the code follows.
A) Start with a blank picture
B) Inster all of the images
C) show the updated image.

Can't find the Expand-function

Hi! Can anyone help me. I'm using the 16.0.0 version of Illustrator CS6 and i'm really new to it. Under the Object menu, I cannot find any Expand-function that I've been told should be found there. Anyone experiencing the same problem? Is this option only appearing in object menu during certain circumstances?

It should be there.....
If you don't see it at all, you may want to trash your Illustrator settings and relaunch the app.
