Hey,
I want to find whether i can enhance the standard code using badi.
how do i find which badi is available
also i need some basic help in badi as i havent worked on it before.
please help.

BAdi where to find
1.Look for BAdi in IMG and in component hierarchy (using transaction SE18)
2.Create own implementation of the add-in (complete coding for Methods) and activate
3.Enhancement's active components are called at runtime.
OR
goto se24-->type class (cl_exithandler)-> say display -> double click on the method Get_Instance -> Put a breakpoint . So whenever you call any transaction which had got Badi's in it ,it will stop at that breakpoint from where you can see the value of variable exit_name.
Goto se81--> Select Relevant package > Press F9 (That pacakage will become yellow)>the go to Information system which is there as a button on the same screen >Enhancement>Badi or Customer exit-->F8 will give you all the badi's or exits .
BAdi Definition (SE18)
1.To include Business Add-Ins in the program
- Define an interface for the enhancement in the SAP menu under Tools-> ABAP Workbench -> Utilities -> Business Add-Ins -> Definition (transaction SE18)
-Call the interface at the appropriate point in application program
-Customers can then select the add-in and implement it according to their needs
BAdi Implementation (SE19)
1.ABAP Workbench ->Utilities -> Business Add-Ins -> Implementation (transaction SE19)
2.Find the suitable Business Add-Ins present in system (Use IMG or Component hierarchy)
3.Use Add-Ins Documentation to understand functionality & to decide
4.Implement the Add-Ins
-a class is created with the same interface
-Finalize coding for the method
5.Implementations are discrete transport objects and lie within the namespace of the person or organization implementing them

Dear All,
I need to find BADI's in any particular Transactions in ECC 6.0. I am familiar with Classic BADIs regarding
how to find them and implement them. However in ECC 6.0, badi calls are made through GET BADI and CALL BADI. Now, in order to find them, do we need to use any class or should we look for the strings GET BADI or CALL BADI in the program itself.
Any help would be appreciated.
p.s: Please advise on finding BADIs in ECC 6.0 only, i m familiar with finding classic badis through CL_exithandler.dear pradeep,
Finding BADI Using CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE
Go to the Transaction, for which we want to find the BADI,
Get the Program Name of Corresponding Transaction.
(Click on System->Status. Double Click on Program Name)
Once inside the program search for 'CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE'.
Make sure the radio button "In main program" is checked.
A list of all the programs with call to the BADI's will be listed.
The export parameter 'EXIT_NAME' for the method GET_INSTANCE of class CL_EXITHANDLER will give you the BADI name for the Transaction.

How to Find BADI for a particular FM
Dear Abapers,
How do I find a BADI for a Particular Function Module.
I did google and found three methods but none helped.
1) going to Transaction se37 to find your function module. Locate the function SXV_GET_CLIF_BY_NAME.
this doesnt help me because i dont want to find badi for a transaction.
2) got se24 and put a break point in the method of class cl_exithandler. I tried this didnt help.
3) taking the pacake name and going to se80 and enter it there, you see enhancements. I did this , found the package name of that FM which is WZRE. but there are lots of enhancements and badis. i cant find the related one with discription.
my FM is IDOC_INPUT_SINGLSETTRQS_CREATE. I really need help to find the correct badi for this.
any help is appreciated.

To find a BADI for any enhancement follow these steps,
1) Put a brak point in method CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE. This will give you the EXIT_NAME and the implementing class name of the BADI.
2) Remove IF_EX from the implementing class this provides you the BADI name.

Followinf are the different ways of finding BADI's
1) Search for BADI exits in the repository information system. se84.
2) Search in IMG for 'BADI' most of the BADI's are given then for creating implementation.
3) Search in the program for CL_EXITHANDLER
4) Refine your search for some Application Component.
5) Goto SE18 or SE19 and on F4 you can search this will lead to the same search of SE84.

Business Add-In is a new SAP enhancement technique based on ABAP Objects.
They can be inserted into the SAP system based on specific user requirements.
Each Business Add-In has:
at least one Business Add-In definition
a Business Add-In interface
a Business Add-In class that implements the interface
In order to enhance a program, a Business Add-In must first be defined
Subsequently two classes are automatically generated:
An interface with IF_EX_ inserted between the first and second characters of the BADI name.
An adapter class with CL_EX_ inserted between the first and second characters of the BADI name.
The Application developer creates an interface for this Add-In.
There are multiple ways of searching for BADI.
Finding BADI Using CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE
Finding BADI Using SQL Trace (TCODE-ST05).
Finding BADI Using Repository Information System (TCODE- SE84).
1. Go to the Transaction, for which we want to find the BADI, take the example of Transaction VD02. Click on System->Status. Double click on the program name. Once inside the program search for CL_EXITHANDLER=>GET_INSTANCE.
Make sure the radio button In main program is checked. A list of all the programs with call to the BADIs will be listed.
The export parameter EXIT_NAME for the method GET_INSTANCE of class CL_EXITHANDLER will have the user exit assigned to it. The changing parameter INSTANCE will have the interface assigned to it. Double click on the method to enter the source code.Definition of Instance would give you the Interface name.
2. Start transaction ST05 (Performance Analysis).
Set flag field "Buffer trace"
Remark: We need to trace also the buffer calls, because BADI database tables are buffered. (Especially view V_EXT_IMP and V_EXT_ACT)
Push the button "Activate Trace". Start transaction VA02 in a new GUI session. Go back to the Performance trace session.
Push the button "Deactivate Trace".
Push the button "Display Trace".
The popup screen "Set Restrictions for Displaying Trace" appears.
Now, filter the trace on Objects:
V_EXT_IMP
V_EXT_ACT
Push button "Multiple selections" button behind field Objects
Fill: V_EXT_IMP and V_EXT_ACT
All the interface class names of view V_EXT_IMP start with IF_EX_. This is the standard SAP prefix for BADI class interfaces. The BADI name is after the IF_EX_.
So the BADI name of IF_EX_CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA is CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA
3. Go to Maintain Transaction (TCODE- SE93).
Enter the Transaction VD02 for which you want to find BADI.
Click on the Display push buttons.
Get the Package Name. (Package VS in this case)
Go to TCode: SE84->Enhancements->Business Add-inns->Definition
Enter the Package Name and Execute.
Here you get a list of all the Enhancement BADIs for the given package MB.

1>First go to any transaction->iN THE menu bar SYSTEM->STATUS->Get the program name ->double click->u will go to the program attached to the tcode.Now search term will be CALL CL_EXITHANDLER.Now u will get list of BADI'S available..
2>Goto SE24->Give class name as CL_EXITHANDLER->Display->double click on get_instance mathod->Now u will go inside the method->Now put break point on the cl_exithandler.Now go to any transaction code and pass dat..U will see that it will be stopped on the break point which u set on the cl_exithandler...In the exit name u can find list of badi's attached to the tcode..

Based on attribute package name we can find badis:
Goto se93 --> Tcode name --> Display --> Package name
Goto se18 --> F4 --> Information systems --> Package name and enter
It will display all the badi's based onpackage based on the descption you can choose Screen exits ect.

I want to find which program(s) call BADI Interface WORKORDER_UPDATE-INITIALIZE.
I've tried the where-used list without luck.
Also tried a break-point, but it doesn't stop.

Hi,
Since i need to implement BADI, i am trying to find the list of BADI's for VA03 transaction. I checked the code using 'GET_INSTANCE' and i found 7 'CALL METHODS' statements. Since only two of them have exporting parameter 'EXIT_NAME' i understood that only 2 BADIs are existed for VA03 transaction.
Using ST05 i found 5 different statements (when i filtered obj name - V_EXT_ACT & IMP) and i did not find any instances there...
so i have 2 questions i have here...
1) How to implement my code ? - is it like finding the interface name & finding method name then need to go to SE19 and implement the method there is it correct process?
2) Why i see different statements & only 5 in ST05, how to see the instances in ST05 too. Please help me,.

1. Execute Business Add-In(BADI) transaction SE18
2. Enter BADI name i.e. HRPBSGB_HESA_NISR and press the display
button
3. Select menu option Implementation->Create
4. Give implementation a name such as Z_HRPBSGB_HESA_NISR
5. You can now make any changes you require to the BADI within this
implementation, for example choose the Interface tab
6. Double click on the method you want to change, you can now enter
any code you require.
7. Please note to find out what import and export parameters a
method has got return the original BADI definition
(i.e. HRPBSGB_HESA_NISR) and double click on the method name
for example within HRPBSGB_HESA_NISR contract is a method
8. When changes have been made activate the implementation

How to find BADI for the enterprise service?
Hi Experts,
We are enhancing an enterprise service for Businesspartner creation by adding an additional field in the structure. But we are not able to find out the correct BADI for the enterprise service. We are using the following enterprise service - 'BusinessPartnerERPCreateRequestConfirmation_In' . I could not find any BADI in ES workplace also .How to search for a BADI for this ES.
Any help on this will be well appreciated.

Not all the services is an BAPI or BAPI, maybe this is an interface.
To see the related object go to esworkplace and find the service.
You will find in the page the label "Related Web Service Definition".
Copy the related value(in your case ECC_BusinessPartnerCrtRC) it and go to SAP GUI. In transaction SE84, go to enterprise service and choice service definition.
Paste the value copied in esworkplace in field Service Definition, then F8.
In the next screen double click in the returned value.
In the next screen you will see a Reference Object field. Double click in the value and you will see the related object.
In this case is an interface. You can see in Provider Class.
