FIOS REMOTES STOLEN IN ROBBERY

Hi we were robbed last friday and they stole everything. Our Laptops, TV's etc. We didn't notice until today when we replaced all of the TV's from the insurance that we were missing all of the remotes to our fios boxes. How can we get replacement remotes, we have a standard box, HD DVR box and a HD box.
PLEASE HELP!!

I've always wondered about all the people selling them on eBAY. There are some new ones still in packaging. Somone was (might still be) selling them by the case. Can't beleive the just "found" those.

I have been trying to get the FiOS Remote app to work, but it keeps giving me problems with the sign on. I don't think my sign on is the issue.
My signon works for ...
1. My FiOS app - in which I can pull my account information
2. the Verizon mobile website - in which I can login and see all my information
Within the My FiOS app when I try to manage my DVR, it launches the FiOS remote app. This app won't let me sign in. I constantly get the "Sign In Error" User ID or Password is invalid. Please try again."
I know this error is erroneous because of my ability to login everywhere else.

Hi, I know that app requires that you are connected to the wifi in your home and not on the iphone's 3g. If you have verified that you are on the Actiontec WiFI (not a second router's wifi) and that your login is correct at all those sites, then you might need to email the dev from the apple store. It gives you a link to email them there.

IPhone "FIOS remote" app update caused 'Invalid User Credential'

Hey there,
I recently updated my "FIOS remote" app on my iPhone and started getting 'Invalid User Credential' when checking my DVR in the app or the TV listings, also wasnt able to submit feedback.
TheAbout screen says I'm using "Verizon FIOS mobile remote version 3.1.56 build number 16"
I called Verizon support who helped me.
The fix: Open a browser and go to www.verizon.com/fiostv/web and logon.
Feedback in the app still doesn't work so I thought I'd post this here for others. By the way, I think a 100 character limit is too small for feedback.

New DVR and FiOS remote tablet access

I had to get a replacement DVR recently (bad hard drive). All works well except I can't access the DVR details or program the box through the fios remote app on my tablet. It worked fine for the old box. Also, on the app, the old box still shows up.
I can log onto my account at Verizon. Com and I can program, see what's recorded on the new DVR etc.., but again the old box shows up as the default DVR and I need to always choose the new one on a drop down box for things to work. Again, this is on the Verizon. Com website through the DVR manager.
How do I get rid of the old box on the app. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app bit to no avail. Again, the problem is the app, which I would like to get to work with the new DVR.

Ok, I found the problem on the FiOS app. There is a button that can switch which box doors the recording. So I now can see what I'd on the new DVR. But still, not sure how to delete the old box from the list

FIOS Remote app and available space on DVR

On the newest version of the iphone FIO Remote DVR app I am no longer able to find the amount of space I have used/have available on the DVR. Can this still be found on the new version? If this feature has in fact been removed I will take your recommendation and contribute to the Idea Exchange. Is there in fact a support channel for the app via phone, email or chat?

So you are wondering how to make the size change "permanent" for a channel? If so, no, there is no way. If you change the channel the screen size reverts to normal on the new channel, and if you go back to the one where you had set the size it is back to normal there also.

Fios remote control and actor info

When I push info on my remote control it only gives me a description of the movie or show, but it doesn't tell me who the artists are. This was one feature I liked from my previous service which was Direct TV. Does anyone know if such a feature is available on the FIOS remote control??

How many times are you pressing the Info button? If you press it a second time you will usually get more information, and if the info will not fit completely in that display a third push of the info button will get you everything that FiOS has available. It is not always as complete as you would like but my experience is that it generally is now fairly good (much better than several years ago).

Fios remote app on android wifi only devices?

So many people these days have a tablet. Some ipad, some android. I Dont know how this topic1 applies on ipad because i do not have one.
But i have an android tablet which is wifi only. The fios remote app for android is wifi only. I cannot use it on my phone unless i am connected to wifi.
So why am i asked for the last 4 digits of my phone number?
Unless someone has a workaround for this, i cannot use the app. And to me it would be pretty cool to use this tablet as a remote. Plus i could show my pictures on tv.(assuming that function is stil there)
Ive tried a google voice number but no dice.
So does anyone know whats going on with this?
Any employees with answers?

Ok so it looks like my problem doesnt apply anymore as it was fixed with the latest update. Silly me.
But now i am trying to find out how one connects to more then 1 device.
On the remoteapp i cant find how to add another dvr

I'm ready to go back to Comcast just because of this lousy FIOS remote

This FIOS remote for my HD box is driving me up a wall. I replaced the batteries with Duracells three times in the last month. The remote is so sluggish it's pathetic.Once I'm in a menu screen I find it almost impossible to get back to my tv screen.I hit the buttons and have to wait 3 seconds or more for a response. My box is only a feet from where I'm sitting and it's not blocked or behind glass. Any tips to get the remote to be faster? Thanks.

Really? I have multiple FiOS remotes and have never had a problem with any of them. Sluggish or otherwise. I had a DVR that needed replacing because it was sluggish and an STB that died, but the remotes have been very solid. And of all the many threads about FiOS here or at DSLReports or AVS Forum, I can't recall seeing many "Bad Remote" threads. You should try another one. Though to switch providers because of a - possibly - bad remote seems a bit drastic, no?

FIOS remote can turn TV off but not on? (Westinghouse LCD TV)

Westinghouse model CW26S3CW 26" LCD HDTV. Weirdest thing happening and that is I am able to get the FIOS remote to do everything but turn the TV on. I have contacted Westinghouse and they are saying to use the Sanyo or Samsung codes but they don't work. I have different types of FIOS remotes and have tried them all to no avail. I'm just dumbfounded how a FIOS remote can turn the TV off but not on.... Westinghouse must have some real whacked out technology that on and off are done differently. Anybody have a solution to this problem?

I'm having this problem, started about a week ago. I tried a factory reset and it did not help. I have model 46G300U1. Unplugging the TV is the only way that I know it will stay off.
TV will randomly turn itself back on. It does not always happen after a few seconds. For example, last night I turned off the TV and sat in the same room for a few minutes and it did not turn back on. However, when I checked this morning, it was back on.
I'm running the latest firmware.

VIZIO P502ui-B1E and Fios Remote Codes?

I have a VIZIO P502ui-B1E and I''m having trouble getting the Fios remote programmed to work all the functions. I've used all the codes listed in the programming guide, no joy. I finally just used code 922, and cycled through until the TV went off.
The problem is that all of the remote functions don't work. i.e. the "input" button now make the TV mute instead of changing the input. The "mute" button does nothing at all.
Does anyone have the actual code that will enable all functions on the remote for this model TV?
The remote model is the Philips RC 1445301

Not every TV is going to have a code that makes it fully functional.
Only way to do that is to buy a true universal remote (like the Logitech Harmony) that can be programmed as well as updated.

What can the FIOS remote do?

My Comcast remote not only turned my TV on/off, volume, but got me into the TV menu to change input from cable to Wii to DVD. I can't get my FIOS HD remote to do this. Is this something it should do? I am having to use my TV remote to get into it's menu to switch to DVD or Wii. So to watch a DVD we have to use 3 remotes...TV, DVD and receiver. I've hunted online and it appears the remote may only turn TV on/off and do volume, not anything more related to the TV. It's a 1 yr old Samsung LCD/HD so it's not something old and out of date. There also doesn't seem to be a code to program the FIOS remote to our Sylvania LCD TV. Seems like since we're paying more per month for the FIOS remotes than the Comcast they should work better, not worse.

It depends on the brand of TV and DVD you have, how new they are, and what codes you have set in the remote for those devices. For example, I have a 4 year old Sony LCD and Sony DVD and my Verizon remote controls them both just fine.
It may be counterintuitive, but the newer the TV and DVD you have, I suspect the less likely the Verizon remote is to control them. That is because the remote has been available for several years, and as far as I know there is no way for Verizon or you to update the codes in them. So whatever it had when you got it is what you have available. Newer TVs and DVDs may use newer codes that are not in the remote.
However, don't give up yet. First, for most TV and DVD brands, there are multiple device codes listed. Even if you find one that turns the device on and off, there may be another code that does that and some other things, like control the input selection on the TV. So be sure you try all of the known codes for your brands, if you have not already done so. Here are links to Verizon web pages for TV and DVD players:

Some people have found some additional codes that will work for certain manufacturer's devices that are not listed here, I don't know what they are since I haven't needed them, but you can do some Google searches and probably find them.
Now, to the specific issue of controlling the input on your TV; have you used the A/V (Input) button (bottom left) on the remote to try to change the input? If not, do so, mine works for me on my Sony. Be sure to hit the TV button first before hitting the A/V button, because the signal is sent to the last device selected, which is usually the STB.
I hope this helps. If you do find some codes or buttons that do work, be sure to report back with that info so others can benefit from you knowledge.

Cannot program tv/dvd combo 32" Insignia brand on fios remote

I purchasesd a Best Buy brand Insignia 32" tv/dvd combo. I was able to program the fios remote for the tv portion, but was unable to program the dvd. I used the method for both the tv and the dvd where you enter 922, etc. and scroll. The tv programming worked the first time, but the dvd programming failed after several attempts. I pressed fast forward each time until the remote flashed that it was finished. I tried the dvd programming with a dvd playing. Anybody have a solution to my problem? Thanks in advance.

I've got the same problem on my insignia. The problem is that tv/dvd or tv/vcr combo units are notoriously hard to get inexpensive remotes to work on. Its due to it being a combo unit. Combo units do not use "standard codes" (most of the time).
Unfortunatly if you have already done the scan mode on the remote, it is not likely going to work with the verizon remote. Getting a generic universal remote and programming it to the verizon stb may be your only hope of getting everything on one remote

I recently bought a new television set. I want to be able to use my Fios remote to control the television. I am able to change the channels with the Fios remote but I need the remote that came with the television to control the volume. The television is a Coby.

Is there a sleep timer function on the FIOS TV remote? Where?

You can certainly try. The Verizon remote is designed to control your TV.   You must first press and release the TV key on the Verizon remote to get it to control just your tv. You would then need to go into the menue of your TV, settings, perhaps, to find the control.
YOU MUST REMEMBER though, after you are finshed controlling just your TV, to go back to normal operations (controlling the verizon set top box) you must press and release the STB button on the remote control.
Those keys, the STB, the TV, the AUX, and the DVD, are 'control' buttons that tell the remote control that you want to control that specific device.   In normal operations the set top box (STB) and the TV are programmed to go on & off at same time but only when the last control button that was presses was the STB button. Also, when you are changing channels you are not changing the physical station on your TV, on most sets, you are just changing the signal coming from the verizon set top box going to the TV   SO the last control button that you want to have pressed is the STB button
