Firefox 27, XP SP3. On this new version sometimes I open it and there's no bookmarks showing. I have to shut it down and restart it. This is 27.0b1
In addition to the question above, I've never had a problem with previous versions of FF locking up, but now it locks up a lot. I believe this is a beta? I have FF 26 .exe still in a folder. Should I just go back to that version and will these problems clear up? thanks.
You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

I have the newer version of the macbook pro and I have read the directions on how to authorize your computer to let you download previous song purchases from icloud onto your laptop, but I cannot find where it says "authorize this computer" at all. You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us. -
you can't open photo library using this version of iphoto. you have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iphoto. please quit and use latest version of iphoto. iphoto 11 is installed.

If so, as your post isn't clear, it may be a bogus message caused by a corrupt database.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

I have just dowloaded iTunes new version 10.4 (on Windows), and I can't paste any artwork from Word anymore, only directly from the net (where the size or the quality of the images is not always optimal). Major problem given that I'm in the process of re-ripping some 40K+ songs in Lossless format... Any way around this?

Look out for "japiohelp".
In short:
a) press Windows key + "R", enter "cmd", and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter (= runs as admin)
b) enter "netsh winsock reset" and pres enter
c) reboot the computer

Trouble opening a just created Pages file.....error message says I need a newer version of Pages......Apple Store says I have version 5.0.......opening an older Pages file it says I have version 4.3.......can not find any way to try another upgrade to 5.0........please help......
ThanksPersonally, I would not recommend deleting/removing the iWorks 09 folder for several reasons: one is that the new versions have had several functionalities removed and until you decide that you can work with the new one and do not miss any features the older version had, I would leave the old one in place. Personally, I will not be using the new versions.
The second reason is that you can accomplish what you want using a different approach: simply open a Get Info window of your document and choose which version of Pages you want this to open in - you can also stipulate that all docs like this are opened with whichever particular version.
FWIW: Once you have edited an old document in the new Pages version, you can no longer open it in the older version. However, you can still export it to the old version. -

Erik NanstielYou are limited to importing iDVD 3 and 4 projects with DVDSP 3 or 4. And since they didn't update DVDSP in Final Cut Studio 2, it seems this limitation will be around for a while.

It was working perfectly till 13/4/2015 night and next day morning it showing this problem.There is no physical damage to my iPad and is in perfect good condition. I updated the latest OS 8.3 version 3 days before this issue happened. I took it to the apple authorised service centre but to my shock they told the display and unit has to be replaced which will cost me Rs.15000/-. It's just been one year and 7 days only since i bought my iPad,i.e, just 7 days out of warranty period only.I don't find any fault with the hardware neither no physical damage is there. Need help to sort out this issue.

When I try to access my add-ons, firefox freezes and I have to shut it down
I never used to have any problems but started getting script errors. I have repaired this but now I cannot access my add-ons. Every time I click on it in the Tools menu, Firefox completely freezes and I have to shut it down.
Do you have the Personas Plus 1.6 extension? If you do that one is known to conflict with Google Toolbar and cause the sort of problems that you are having.
Try starting Firefox in [[safe mode]] to see if you can access the add-ons manager. If you can and have Persona Plus, try disabling/uninstalling it whilst in safe mode. If you do not have that add-on, another one may be causing problems, to try to track down which one see [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]].
Another thing you can try is deleting the files that store details on installed add-ons, if one of them is corrupt it can cause problems. To do that first open your profile folder, for how to do that see the [[profiles]] article.
After you have opened the profile folder, close Firefox and delete extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini and compatibility.ini. When you re-start Firefox those files will be re-created.
