Firefox 6 crashes every time I try to start it, safemode aswell. 5 worked perfectly but now I can't download 5 again

Firefox automatically downloaded and installed version 6 without my authorisation and now it has stopped working. I can't get it to run in safemode either. I have tried a total uninstall and reinstall but I get the same problem. Every time I select it a small crash window appears instead of the browser that asks me to report the crash. Now I can't find a link to re download version 5.

I guess the automatic upgrade happened last night (i hate that you auto upgrade btw) and now FF at work crashes every time I try to open it. I've had problems with FF ever since 7.0 came out. TS2755 Messages Beta Crashes every time I try to open it. Lion on iMac totally up to date and tried downloading messages Beta again and installed..no go. help?

I cannot seem to get Messages on my iMac to work at all. Never had any app crash on opening. Cant get to a menu of any kind to do anything with it as it crashes on opening. help? Dont know if Mountain Lion later this summer will fix or not?

Could you tell me a few things please ?
Were you using iChat before ?
After Downloading and Installing the first time did you restart your computer like it said ?
When you downloaded it again did you Uninstall it first from the Messages Menu (Back to iChat) ?
Each time Apple have released a new OS the iChat application has also had a new version.
Lion had iChat 6. Messages Beta is called version 6.1 (it also shows as iChat in several places).
It is likely that the non beta version will be a new numbered version.
At this point try this one thing.
Open the Applications/Utilities folder and find Activity Monitor and launch it
In the list of apps and items running find IMAgent (it will not have an icon as it is a system side support app for FaceTime and ichat/Messages).
Select it then use the Quit button top left
Confirm Force Quit.
It will restart and appear near the top of the list again.
Will Messages launch now ?

Disk Utility crashes every time I try to start it

So I have tried clicking on "Disk Utility" and it starts bouncing in the dock, then goes away, the computer hangs or a few seconds, and I get a window saying that it has unexpectedly quit. It does this every time, without fail, even after a reboot. The crash log says something about KERNPROTECTIONFAILURE, etc.
Any ideas?

Sounds like your mac need a bit of TLC!
Repairing permissions is an important part of regular maintenance, and should always be carried out both before and after any software installation or update.
Go to Disk Utility (this is in your Utilities Folder in your Application folder) and click on the icon of your hard disk (not the one with all the numbers).
In First Aid, click on Repair Permissions.
This only takes a minute or two.

If you were having any serious problems with your Mac you might as well complete the exercise by repairing your hard disk as well. You cannot do this from the same start-up disk. Reboot from your install disk (holding down the C key). Once it opens, select your language, and then go to Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select your hard disk as before and click Repair.
Once that is complete reboot again from your usual start-up disk.

Firefox is crashing every time I attempt to start it. I have followed all troubleshooting.

Firefox has worked fine forever, until I tried to open it today and it just crashes instantly. I have tried safe mode, a clean install, malware scans, nothing is helping. It just instantly crashes.

you can also try to boot the computer in '''Windows Safe mode''' with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) and check firefox again.

Cannot start Safari; crashes every time I try to start it

Since today i cannot start Safari (2.0.4) at all; it crashes within 10-15 seconds after starting it.
I tried all the things that were suggested in other articles that were mentioning similar behaviors without luck.

Which version of Piclens are you using? - latest is 1.5.3 found here. I notice too it is a Beta version, which means not bug free.
Go to your Main Library (/Library)>InputManagers folder and move the PicLens item to the desktop, then restart Safari. If Safari starts up, you found the culprit. If not, move the items back to its original location.

Just updated to v 3.6.21 because previous version was a pain too. When I updated to that one it made the window opening delayed - I mean REALLY delayed, like at least a minute EVERY time, including start-up. How annoying. NOW I can't print and it crashes EVERY time I try. Doesn't matter if I use the pull down menu or the comand "P", or the print preview. I have a Mac running OSX v 10.4.11. I know my software is older so if there's a conflict can I uninstall FF and re-install an older version that works?? IF so, how do I do this? PLEASE HELP ME. thanks

Adobe crashes every time I try to watch You Tube

For 9 solid days we have tried to watch You Tube and the Adobe Flashplayer crashes everytime. We have done everything known to man to fix it. We can play Farmville but not watch BBC videos. We have cleaned the computer, unloaded and reloaded Adobe. We have scanned the computer for viruses. But nothing solves it. A man in the computer shop said he could fix it in an hour - if he can why can't I? PLEASE HELP

Every time I TRY to start firefox 18-19 I get an error message : "Firefox has stopped working" - "close the program and check online for a solution" - or - "close the program" this happens TWICE every time I try to start firefox. Eventually after a random number of tries firefox will start normaly. I am useing firefox 19.0.2 now bit I belive it started when I upgraded to firefox 18 but am not sure, it might have been when I upgraded to firefox 19 ... but it has been happening for a very long time and I cannot find any helpfule solutions online.
I have tried a Clean reinstall but it did not help.
