Firefox crashes every time!
I have been trying to evaluate Firefox (even though I like Safari) and it seems to crash on me every time. I have repaired permissions, uninstalled and downloaded the latest version and it still just won't work. The Mozilla site indicated that there should be a way to start in "safe mode" from the terminal but the file that they call out is not in the Firefox.app package in my applications folder.
Should I just bail out on Firefox - has anyone else experienced this?

First off, FireFox 2.0 has been working so far so good on Mac OS X 10.4.8.
The cause is most likely by one or two extentions you added via Add-ons menu such as Extensions and/or Plugins. Try disabling them all to verify the reproducibility. If this does not result, instead, uninstall them all. Then re-install one by one at each restart the FireFox to identify the culprit(s).
For example, 'nsIPluginInstanceOwner' could be Flash Player or Songbird extension. Also, Flash Player.plugin (/Library/Internet Plug-ins/) and RealPlayer Plugin.plugin have recently updated (11/14/06) to 9.0.28.0 by Adobe. Some previous versions are seriously vulnerable.

My system worked normally but after I installation CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 Firefox crashes every time I try to open it. I've tried disabling plugins and add-ons but with no success. Firefox can be opened without problems in safe mode or in Windows XP SP3 compatiblity mode. Does Firefox use some different system components then?
I am using 32-bit Windows7 and latest version of Firefox.It is possible that the CorelDRAW program installed extra fonts on your computer and that Firefox is having a problem with one or more of them.
You can use one of these to start Firefox in <u>Safe mode</u>:

I have Firefox 3.6.8 and newest version of Flash. I've followed all recommendations made by Firefox support, changing plug in container settings, changing hang time, nothing helps. I'm forced to disable Adobe Flash or Firefox crashes whenever the Flash plug-in is needed. There are numerous reports of this problem throughout the Firefox troubleshoot help pages. No one seems to have a good answer to fix this. I now keep Flash disabled and use it only when going to a web page that needs it. If I find myself on such a page, I can go into tools, enable flash and do a reload. For some reason, this works. The reload will let Flash do its thing and Firefox won't have an APPCRASH. Once I leave that page, however, I must disable Flash again or I'll experience a crash the next time Flash is called upon. I really like FF but have downloaded Chrome and am now playing with it to see if I like it enough to use it as my primary browser. It's a shame that FF can't come up with a fix as hundreds have the same complaint.

Firefox crashes every time I try to open it. I have tried resetting and it also crashes in safe mode. The last crash report is:

My OS is XP Professional and I am running v25 of Firefox.That crash report doesn't seem to have been send.
See if you can submit this report by clicking on it on the about:crashes page if there aren't any other (more recent) reports with a "bp-" prefix that have been send.

firefox has started crashing every time i try to upload a new page. This has only started happening since i downloaded firefox 4.
The CrashIDs are what is needed. Do not attempt to attach or paste the reports.

So you are saying it works ok as long as you avoid certain pages such as this Forum. That makes me wonder if it could be malware that is blocking access to assistance.Run malwarescans with multipe and up-to-date tools.
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

My firefox crashes every time I open it.
I was removing another program from my computer, when that was completed I went to reopen firefox. Upon doing so, firefox will no longer open. It crashes every time I try. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall but I am unable to do that as well.

Since the latest "update" Firefox crashes every time I open it
Since the latest Firefox update, the browser crashes every time I open it. Sometimes I get the "this is embarrasing screen" which asks to restore or start a new session. Either one has the same results - another crash.

Every time I open Firefox, even in Safe Mode, it crashes within 5 seconds. It's not enough time to make changes in the toolbars at top. The page says "Well, this is embarrassing..." and when it crashes it takes me to Mozilla Crash Reporter. I opened Fontbook, eliminated bad fonts, and that didn't help. I'm working on a Mac OS X 10.8.4 and Chrome works fine. There don't appear to be any malware problems. I've looked through all the help forums and none of them have contained suggestions that solve my problem.

Firefox crashes every time when i open it.
Hello i recently noticed a firefox crash. I started it and it crashed. Now it happens to me every time when i start it. Please someone help me i tried to uninstall and then install , reseting but nothing works!? Also i have antivirus protection and it isn't caused by a virus. Here are my crash id's :

Firefox crashes every time I launch it
I get sooo sick of this! It prevents me from working :/
Every time I start Firefox it freezes after 1 minute max. It doesn't matter which page I visit, or if I just start it blank. It freezes every time, and I have to kill the process.
This has been going on for a couple of Days now.
I have tried resetting Firefox, as well as removing and re-installing it and the problem is still there.
I use Win 8 and the antivirus says there's no problem with that part of the pc, so it's not caused by any virus etc.
I used Firefox prev. to this and never had this particular problem.

I tried using Firefox without the network Connection off. I am not 100% sure but this time nothing happen. It didn't freeze.

Firefox crashes every time I try to navigate away from a page to a different site.
It seems to only happen when I have more than one tab open, but every time I try to navigate away from the originally opened page, it crashes. This has just started happening today (3/19/14) and I have tried to resetting Firefox but it did not remedy the problem.

Firefox crashes every time I do a search on Google. How can I correct it?
I upgraded to new Firefox but it was not working with a particular website that I work with. Reinstalled 3.6 version and now, every time I search anything on Google, Firefox crashes. What's the solution
To change it back to normal:
#1 Type in about:config in firefox, press enter
#2 search for keyword.URL on the search bar.
#3 it will come up with something with yahoo in the string. Right click and select Modify or Double Click on it.
#4 Type or paste in this http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky&q=
Also, a great addon that can fix this problem (possibly perminant fix?) can be found here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/luckybar/
It basically overrides your url bar so that it -always- uses "feeling lucky". -
Firefox crashes every time I double click on the web screen
Okay, this may sound funny and I've tried searching the web to no avail. I've just recently upgraded my Firefox and so far it's working...until when I double-clicked on the web page (the fast way to block a whole paragraph to be copied). The Firefox then suddenly crashed. First I thought there might be a web page which caused the problem, but when I experimented double-clicking on the Firefox Homepage, the problem persisted. This hasn't happened before and I have no idea what error does the double-click induces. The other processes---downloading, uploading, etc.---works fine. Maybe you guys will find it minor, but still it annoys me every time I forget and double-click.
