If you have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.<br />
You may need to remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
Do a clean (re-)install:

I have the CS6 production suite. All the programs work except Premier Pro. It starts but tells me I need to upgrade my video software, which I have done.
Can I rpair or reload the Premier pro again without effecting the other programs in the suite which all work well.

i recently upgraded to Lion and i find that my computer is running slow and applications are crashing. For example I have Word 2011 for Mac and it crashes all the time I end up losing my work. It often happens when I'm in class using notebook and when I press record my computer starts thinking and it freezes.
Also, I feel that it overheats often and my battery runs out pretty quickly. I had the macbook (black) and this never happened before. About 3 hours into the conference (not consistently recording, but on and off with the sessions) my file wouldn't save anymore, saying something like "File cannot be modified while in use with another program" and "Invalid file name" when I would go back into my folder to look for it). I tried installing some updates from Microsoft, and when I restarted, I was at least able to open my old notes again, and so far it looks like the audio was working. However, today at the conference, the same thing happened again, but I wasn't actively recording any audio (though after I had copy and pasted my second file of notes into the original, I went back to using it after re-naming it).
Does the crash happen to you under similar cirucumstances? The update might help a little, but it is definitely not the solution. Does anyone have any solutions? Lion shouldn't be this buggy... I moved to Mac to get away from the garbage of bugs and compatibility issues... -
My computer crashed with all my itunes files. I was able to get some off and transfer them to another computer. I am afraid to sync my ipod to the new computer becaused I do not want to loose all of my playlists and other music. Will this happen?
To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
Delete the "songs" that do not play in your iTunes library and reimport them. -
Firefox has been crashing at random times for the last two days
Firefox has been crashing randomly for the last two days. I had to download Malwarebytes yesterday because I picked up Malware Doctor (I think that's the name.) It was soon after I had removed the spyware that Firefox started crashing.

Is it possible to disable "whats new" page that shows up every time Firefox has been updated
Any time Firefox has been updated, there is a "What's new" tab. Firefox updates too often for this page to be interesting. Now it's just plain annoying.
To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to stop that page from loading.

Firefox has been crashing when I try to close it and now won't open at all.
For some time now, Firefox has been timing out when I tried to close it, making it necessary to "force quit." Now it won't open at all. Even more strangely, I'm not able to send a crash report to Apple (I get the message "submission failed").
I've tried downloading the newest version, downloading plug-ins, and starting in "safe mode."
Also strange, in my bookmarks section the little icons had disappeared lately.Sorry I do not use Mac s Unless someone provides a better answer I suggest you start with looking at

Firefox has been randomly crashing for two days. I always have google and facebook running. Firefox seems to crash at random times - no specific web page loading. My Firefox is up to date.

I have had the same problem. It was cured by turning computer off and/or restarting it. I am not sure if once was enough. I think shutting down must cut out whatever it is that blocks bluetooth. Good luck

I have the newer version of the macbook pro and I have read the directions on how to authorize your computer to let you download previous song purchases from icloud onto your laptop, but I cannot find where it says "authorize this computer" at all. In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us. -
