Firefox isn't allowing me to go to any website, how do I fix it?

It all started when I downloaded avg antivirus so I uninstalled it but it still won't connect to websites. I've tried refreshing it and disabling add-ons I'm all out of ideas.

An automated update has rendered my laptop Firefox browser unable to connect to any websites, how do I fix this issue?

When the update for my browser took place, on 5/5/14 @ approximately 12:15 am, it rendered the browser unable to connect to any websites. It does work in safe mode, but not in regular mode. Can you start by giving us the troubleshooting information from the Firefox installation that's having problems. This is an essential step in troubleshooting.

Uninstall the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.

Since my computer upgraded to the latest version of Firefox, I can't access or access only partial websites - how do I fix?

My computer did it's normal Window update as well as updated to the latest version of FireFox. Since then I can access minimum parts of normal websites and I cannot use multiple tabs to search different websites. I restored my computer to before the Windows 7 update thinking that was the problem but I still have trouble accessing sites and extreme slowness with FireFox. Any ideas?

There is something else that can cause this issue. Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. You can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 which works on OS X 10.4 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

But in Acrobat you can do it automatically by using 'Action Wizard' option.

I can't get rid of pop-up ads, even though Firefox isn't allowing them to open, a new screen appears.

As of a few days ago, almost every web site I visit, after the page opens, another screen opens with firefox asking to allow another site to open. It is an ad of some sort as I have opened 1 or 2 to check them out. I've been on a site with a catalog with multiply pages to go thru and every time I hit the next page, another pop up. I've checked off the options box to stop pop up's, but that doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Then without any apparent reason I could access all parts of the site, but could not access the deed images. First I thought it was a problem on their end, which sometimes happens, but after waiting 24 hours I was still having the problem. Then I tried windows explorer and it worked without any problem. How do I fix this?

First question I would ask is what has changed recently? Did you add any new extensions or add-ons?
I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.

Firefox very slow to start, won't show any websites

On 9/19, firefox version 32.02 automatically downloaded, now it is taking over 5 minutes for Firefox to open and when it does, it does not go to my default website (yahoo). I cannot get to any websites since this update. I have tried the restore option in troubleshooting, but that does not help at all. How do I go back to the previous version?

My firefox os won't let me send txts only mms how can i fix this problem

Up until yesterday my phone was fine but since i recharged yesterday ive been unable to send any txt messages. I can recevice all calls and txts and make calls and send mms messages but when i try to send a normal txt it tells me that my service is unavalible.
My phone is only a few months old and all software is up to date. I even brought a new sim today but still the same problem. Please help

iCloud doesn't sync books so you wouldn't find them in your iCloud account. Firefox downloads a file with the wrong file extension. How can I fix this?

The title says it all. When I download files, it comes out with the wrong extension, not sure what extension it comes out as.
It actually just comes out as "file."
How can I fix this? Is there something in about:config I can tweak to eliminate this error?

This type of problems are not related with the browser you are using, in this case, Firefox. This issues are the consequence of the way that the website "packed" the file.
What you should do is download the file, locate the file, give right click on the file and select "Rename". Now, don't change the name!!! Just add "." and then the extension that you wanted. Example, you download the file "norwegianwood", after renaming it, it should read "norwegianwood.srt".
