We bought a time capsule, 1TB, then the wifi has a problem since it does not identify the existing wireless network and it says that its need to have an update firmware. The existing firmware is 7.3.1, does it have an newest update firmware existing now? Does APPLE do not provide latest firmware for this item?
How old is that Time Capsule? The fact that it still have firmware 7.3.1 suggests that it's not the latest model. The latest firmware available for my two-year-old model is version 7.5.2. Apple does provide firmware updates. You just have to let the Time Capsule download and install them. Use AirPort Utility to do that.
Regarding your Wi-Fi problem, please explain what you mean by "it does not identify the existing wireless network".
By the way, you've been misled by poor field labeling on this forum into typing a large part of your message into the field intended for the subject. In the future just type a short summary of your post into that field and type the whole message into the field below that. -
When I try to open my downloaded photos from a DVD through finder the computer says that I don't have permission to view the files.
This is something that has just happened recently.Copy the images to your Pictures folder or Desktop and then try again.
If that doens't work, then do #6 here, (Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs)
that will set the permissions to you.

Pls HELP me! I can"t install it Itunes on any of my computers. I had this same issue occur today during update, searched and finally tracked to problem with windows registry. Used online version of windows registry tool "Fix It" (can also download portable version for offline check. I selected Apple updater utility from list to fix and it did it's thing. Returned to my downloaded 10 iTunes adn isntalled perfectly fine.

Why is Lion installed on external HDD and iMac says that Lion is already installed when it is not?
I went into the Apps store then logged in to confirm that I wish to pay for the Lion upgrade from Mac OSX v10.6.8.
The downloaded 3Gb installation file went into my Applications folder after a few hours:
This installation application is still in the Application folder of the iMac.
During the upgrade / installation, I got the following message, saying that the installation can't go in the HDD of the computer I was working on (ie. the iMac's Macintosh HD). I had no choice but to select the external HDD (WD-1T) as the installation destination, which proceeded very quickly.
When the installation was complete, the iMac rebooted into a fresh Lion installation, running off the WD-1T! I can see all my old files on the Macintosh HD, as if that HDD was the external HDD!
If I disconnect the WD-1T upon rebooting, I am back to Snow Leopard, running from the iMac's Macintosh HD. If I go the App store, it tells me I have already installed Lion on the iMac (when it is not the case)!
When I go to my MacBook Pro (currently on Snow Leopard and not part of from the above installation), I see that Lion is purchased but not installed. If I click INSTALL, it starts to download what the iMac had earlier downloaded (the Install Mac OS X Lion.app is still sitting in the Application folder of the iMac).
Question:
Can anyone shed some light why this happening and how to get Lion onto the iMac?

I get a message saying that I don't have appropriate permissions to install an extension
I get this message only on some extensions I try to install. Others install just fine. Other times I get a message saying that there was an internal error and that the extension won't be installed, even though the extension is for Dreamweaver CS4, which is what I'm using. These are for both extensions that are free and ones I have paid for. I am the admin on this workstation, so I can't understand why I get these messages, especially for the one about permissions. I am using a Dell PC with Vista Home Premium 32bit.
Most likely the VISTA UAC security settings are getting in your way.

It seems Firefox keeps running after I close it. When I try to open browser, message says it is running and tells me to close it. I check Task Manager and it does NOT indicate Firefox is running. Unable to open Firefox at all. Have to shut down entire computer and sometimes this works. Anyone have this problem before?
When you go to task manager, go to the "processes" tab, right click on "firefox.exe," and select "end process tree." In the picture I've attached, I'm using windows 8, so the UI is a little different, but I hope it points you in the right direction.

It downloaded fine, but when I attempt to install it won't verify, saying that I am not connected to the internet when I know that I am! Tried on several wifi connections while plugged into power source. Any advice is appreciated!
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. I wanted to try the new YouTube HTML5 video player, but when I try to expand a video to like 480p or higher, it just stays the same size and the button won't work. I've installed the DivX codex and after that I thought it would work. To be honest, I didn't try it before installing the codec on Chrome, now that I installed it, it does work. I"m horrible with explaining things, so I hope this is fairly clear. Thanks :D

Have been unsuccessful many times in updating firefox. I get the messages: do you want to replace earlier version? I click yes, then get message stating I don't have permission to install the newer version. There has been no asking for a password to install this on my Mac, which is what I assume may be needed for the installation.
How can I achieve this?
At times I have been offered ( by firefox) an opportunity to connect with their updater, but this connection has lasted 30 min., with no success, so I have closed the window.If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
