Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

• Firefox will not load any page.

Looked at the article "Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can" but I'm an idiot and can't figure out what I'm supposed to look for. The instructions of where to go in IE are different than my IE. So, don't really know what I'm looking for.
To my knowledge, there have been no recent upgrades to any of my software - nothing I have done.

Hi,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

If you have security software (antivirus, firewall etc.) installed and the problem started after updating Firefox, you can try deleting all existing instances of Firefox and its related processes/files in all the different configuration modules/areas of the security software like process monitoring, sub/spawned process control, virtualization, HIPS etc., in addition to the security software's main configuration panel. Instead create new fully allowed/trusted rules for Firefox + its related processes in all the different modules/panels - a genuine/original Firefox installer as well as all the installed EXEs (Application) and DLLs (Application extension) are digitally signed by Mozilla Corporation (right-click > Properties > Digital Signatures). Even otherwise, some security software may also ask again when Firefox and/or its sub processes are started, and you may be able to allow/trust at that time. • Firefox will not load any pages beyond home page, IE will!

Tried opening FF this morning and it would load the home page, but none beyond that. It would not even go to a link from the homepage. I tried different sites, but it would just say connecting and NEVER load! My IE works fine (for IE anyway!) Anyone else having any issues? I tried to update FF and that didn't help either.

• Firefox will not load any web page, other programs will. Continuously "connecting"

Firefox will not load any pages, but Google Chrome will. Firefox will 'load' the home page, but with any other site, the tab will continuously circle and say "connecting". I have tried clearing my cache, starting in safe mode, and restarting my computer. So far, nothing is working.

Update..when I open firefox from scratch, the main firefox pages on the home page seem to work. But as soon as I try to go anywhere else, IE going to a website in the address bar or even trying to access the defauly bookmark links, it just sits there loading but never brings anything up.

• The new version of Firefox, 18.02, will not load any pages. Why not?

I attempted to open Firefox and was told it would load when the updates were applied, which was nothing new. It loaded fine and there were no incompatible add-ons, but it will not load any web pages. I'm on the same computer using Chrome to send this message. Everything was working fine in release 18.01.

Firefox or googlechrome will not load any sort of videos playing sites. This is a recent issue. I've watched videos on hulu for the past couple months with no problem.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

• Firefox will not load web page (I also have Internet Explorer 8 installed).

Fire Fox will not load web pages. It may have something to do with proxy settings but I have reset this to Auto-Detect which is where it has always been in the past but still nothing. Something has reset my proxy settings in the past which caused a similar problem but doesn't seem to be the issue this time. I have Internet Explorer 8.0 installed on computer right now and it seems to work.

After looking into this further I checked firewall settings in Panda A.V. For Firefox they were set to Custom settings which effectively disabled it. I changed setting to Outbound only like Internet Explorer and other programs and Firefox seems to work fine now. Hope this helps others who have experienced this problem. I have teenage children who use computer a lot (Face Book, etc.) so the root of the problem may have been Malware, Adware, or something else but hopefully Panda has taken care of this.

• Firefox will not load any web pages since update

Using Galaxy Nexus, installed update today. I have ICS version 4.0.1. Pages will not load at all. Even the firefox pages on the home page will not load. I verified with using both wifi and my network, and checked the stock browser from the phone which works, but no success with Firefox. I uninstalled Firefox, restarted my phone, re-installed, and the same issues are happening. Any idea how to get this back to normal?

• FireFox will not load any web pages and says to check firewall. What can I do?

I updated the new version of FireFox and now when I open it Google appears the way it should but when I type into the search bar or type in a web address it will not load. The message says to check my internet connection and my firewall to make sure firefox is allowed to use the web. Everything looks ok to me and I do not know how to fix it, help!

• Firefox will not open any pages

Two days ago my computer would let me open firefox, but it will not display any of the pages - not even my home page. It tells me it is done at the bottom of the screen but nothing is showing up. I prefer to use firefox, but I am having to use another broser.

A new version of Firefox was released 2 days ago, so it is possible that a Firewall is blocking the new version of Firefox. For details on that see [[Firefox cannot load websites but other programs can]].
