FireWire SDK 23 available?

Does anyone have the 'Firewire SDK 23' or knows where it can be found?
My extern firewire soundcard isn't working proper (crackles, pops, silences) and I saw that the Applefwaudio 2.0.1 might be the outway and that can be found in the SDK 23. I checked the developer part of the apple website, but I could only find SDK 26.
So Firewire SDK 23, anyone?

I don't think you'll find it here either. Best to contact the Apple Developer Forum.

Is there any Adobe Presenter 8 sdk / api available?
I wasn't able to find any think on Adobe homepage.

    Thank you for the reply.
I need to interact with the content when it is "played/executed" in Adobe Connect.
I need to know which slide is currently shown, total number of slides and end of presentation information,
such that I can use ExternalInterface to do some stuff when terminating the presentation.

  • FireWire SDKs 18 and/or 20

I'm trying to hook my MacBook up to my Motorola DCT3412 Comcast cable box to transfer video from it to my Mac. I have read two methods on the internet. Ones uses the AVCVideoCap application from FireWire SDK 20. The other uses the AVC Browser and the VirtualDVHS applications from FireWire SDK 18. I've experimented with both extensively, and neither method works with FireWire SDK 23, which is what I have. I have searched the internet up and down, left and right, and back and forth and there is nowhere to download older versions of FireWire SDK.
Can someone PLEASE, please send me FireWire SDK 18 and/or FireWire SDK 20. My e-mail address is <edited by host>. I would be more greatful than you can imagine. If not, does anyone know a place where I can download either of these SDKs? Finally, I have one more question. In case I am destined not to acquire either of these SDKs, does anyone have an effective, working method for extracting/capturing video from a cable box with the newer FireWire SDK 23?
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer me.

  • Which version of iPhone SDK is available for MAC OS 10.3.9

    Hi,
I want to develop an application for iPhone using my MAC OS 10.3.9 version.
Which version of iPhone SDK is available for MAC OS 10.3.9?
Can I install and work with iPhone SDK 6 or 7 version on MAC OS 10.3.9.
    Regards,
    Punit

but the installation steps of SDK says that it can be installed on MAC OS 9.3.x also by customizing it during installation for the MAC OS 9.3.x.
If possible, could you post a link to where this information is.
OS 9 does not have a version 9.3.x so I am not sure what you are referring to unless that was a typo and you meant 10.3.x?
I think you might get better support in the Developer forum. If you don't receive any other response here in this topic perhaps posting there might attract more knowledgable SDK users.

  • Adobe acrobat java sdk is available? if yes then its  possible to convert pdf to word

adobe acrobat java sdk is available ?  if yes then its  possible to convert pdf to word(doc)

There is little interest in automating Acrobat with Java, since it cannot be run on a server. On a client workstation, OLE is available, and perhaps Java can use that.
(JavaScript is of course another story).

  • When will Adobe Drive 4 SDK be available?

When will the SDK and documentation be available?
I just went to grab the drive 3 sdk when I noticed that there is a Drive 4 now. I can't tell which versions of Creative Suite are compatable. Will CS6 work with adobe drive 3? And I can't tell if my plugin that I started will work in Drive4.
    Help.

In addition, here are the Drive 4 related deployment change requirements for partner connectors:
    Mac:
    Old location: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS5ServiceManager/plugins
    New location:  /Library/Application Support/Adobe/AD4ServiceManager/plugins
    Win 64-bit:
    Old location: C:\Program files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CS5ServiceManager\plugins
    New location: C:\Program files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AD4ServiceManager\plugins
    Win 32-bit:

  • AE CS5 and SDK now available!

    Hi all,
Just wanted to give you a heads up that After Effects CS5 is now publicly available for download, both the 30-day trial, and the retail download:
    http://www.adobe.com/go/tryaftereffects
We've also publicly posted the initial release of the AE CS5 SDK:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/aftereffects/
    Enjoy, and happy coding!

    Hi,
I have just downloaded the Windows copy. It looks like it now allows remote administration, which is cool. However, I found out that it does not install itself as a Windows service! Is it possible to install it as a Windows Service?
BTW, I think 'Sun ONE AppServer 8' sounds better that 'Java System Application Server 8' :P
    Sincerely,
    Sergei Batiuk.

  • How come only half of my 250 gig firewire drive is available?

i just installed a new Samsung 250 gig IDE drive into a firewire enclosure. I know that there will be some overhead for formatting and such, but only 127.8 gig is available out of 250 gig. Am I missing something or is this normal. How can I get it to recognize the entire drive?

How old is that enclosure? Sounds like it has an ATA controller inside that doesn't have support for 48 bit addressing and can only address 128 gigabytes.
Send it back and get an enclosure that supports the ATA-6 48 bit addressing standard or don't use a drive larger than 128 gigabytes in it.

  • [iPhone] Final SDK is available

The final version of the SDK (build 9M2199a) is now available at the iPhone Dev Center! Still no doc or release notes updates though.

I think the Dev center application message changed too:
    {quote}
    Already applied to the Program?
We are currently processing your enrollment application and will be contacting you soon.

Can anyone confirm that it's different than the beta message?

  • Firewire no longer available

I have an external Firewire hard drive and an external Firewire DVD burner. It's been a couple of weeks since I used either of them. When attatching the hard drive to the Mac, the disk never mounted. Rebooted and tried again. No go. Then I tried the DVD drive, seeing if a regular CD would mount. No go. Looking in Apple System Profiler under Firewire when these devices are attatched shows nothing. It's like my drivers either aren't there or aren't responding. I bought a Pantone Huey but that has a USB connection. That was the last upgrade I've made in quite a while.
    Any ideas ?

I used the following procedure to revive my "dead" FireWire port. I copied this from some helpful person from the MacFixIt Forumns. It really works, though you really don't have to rub the rabbits foot if you don't want to =>
Apparently dead or misbehaving Firewire and USB ports can generally be restored to health simply by resetting the ports. The procedure for resetting the ports is straight forward and relatively simple. I have recently revised my take on this procedure as a result of a MacFixit troubleshooting thread that apparently involved a misbehaving port on one of the external devices. The revised process is:
    • Power down the computer
    • Power down any self-powered Firewire, USB, or eSATA devices attached to the computer including hubs.
    • Disconnect all external Firewire, USB, and eSata devices from the computer.
    • Disconnect the computer's external power source.
    • On the chance that a port that on an external device also needs resetting, disconnect the power from all self-powered external devices.
    • If the computer is a laptop remove the main battery
    • Remove the backup (PRAM) battery. NOTE: not all Macs have backup batteries but if they do it is critical that they be removed. See your user manual for instructions.
    • Retire to a neutral corner for a beverage or snack of your choice for at least fifteen minutes to allow sufficient time for the capacitors in the system to bleed off their electrical charge.
    • Replace the backup battery and close up the system.
    • Reconnect the external power to the computer
    • If the mouse and keyboard are USB devices reconnect them at this time.
CAUTION: do not reconnect the self-powered devices to the computer yet -- just in case a fault in the external device garbled the port electronics in the first place.
    • Boot the computer
    • Cross your fingers and rub your lucky rabbit's foot then one at a time reconnect each of the external Firewire and USB devices to the computer and power them up. Testing after connecting each device to be sure it and the port are working correctly.
    • Finally if all the Firewire and USB devices are working you can power down and reconnect the eSATA device(s).
    • Open System Preferences and reset the time zone and system date and time.

  • Is there a thunderbolt to firewire 400 adaptor available?

I have an old Sony handycam (connects using firewire 400) with heaps of footage on it from years of overseas travel. When I buy my new Macbook Pro, I want to load my video into iMovie. I see there is a thunderbolt to firewire 800 adaptor, but that's no use to me.
    Thanks,
    Ros

I'm sorry but there isn't a Thunderbolt to FireWire 400 adapter. In your case, what you can try is to buy a Thunderbolt to FireWire 800 adapter, and a FireWire 400 to 800 cable, so it should work.
Also, have you got a MacBook Pro with Retina display? If not, your MacBook should have a FireWire 800 port, so you just need the FireWire 400 to 800 cable

  • Feature Request: Make SDK-Min & SDK-Ver Available

'Twould be awesome to be able to build common/shared/library code that can auto-detect the minimum and "maximum" SDK that a plugin is targeted for in order to adapt behavior or throw proper errors...
    Tnks,
    R

    Yeah.
One of my favorite uses is for displaying Lr compatibility.
I'm taking advantage of the fact that Lr does not care a whit what you set LrSdkVersion to, and using it to indicate maximum compatible version for display in info-provider. Thus, if my plugins don't say: "Compatible with Lr3", then even though they load, and may even run somewhat, you can be sure I have not tested and certified them for Lr3... (and vice versa...)
Now that I think about it, adding "Mac support level" to the info.lua return table is not a bad idea - for display in info-provider.
PS - I suppose we should be adding some of this knowlege to the new repository...

  • HDV via FireWire output not available

After editing an HDV50i project in a HDV50i timeline I would like to print it to video. Under "View -> Video Playback" all the HDV options are gray! I cannot select them. Consequently I cannot play the video through the FireWire output. In "Easy Setup" all possible codecs are there and I can choose them (DV, HDV, ProRes, DVCPro etc.etc.). When I startup FCP my Sony Z7 is already attached via FireWire. What's going wrong?

You can't play back HDV through FireWire. The video stream has to be conformed because of the MPEG-2 format. You can print to video. To see your output on a monitor you'd need to get a Matrox MXO2 box.
