Firmware Problem on my zen touch....PLEASE HELP ME
Hi, I have had my zen touch for over a year now, works great. Recently I tried to up grade the firmware to ZenTouchP4S_PCFW_LB_2__0.exe While installing it erased the whole music plus the previous firmware. So when installing it froze an now my player starts in recovery mode an its in v0.0.0. When I try to upload the new firmware it tells me to connect my player, but its already connected. Nothing wrong with my usb cord so I am lost, can anyone help me resolve this problem so I can listen to my music again.....thanks.
I finally got it. I had to uninstall and reinstall the zen touch, windows 0, an the media source from the installation disc. After that when i plugged the player in it stayed in the recovery mode, before it would say docked an have that lil music note screen on. So i went to device manager on my comp an looked up the zen touch, it said error code 0. I followed the on screen instructions from my comp. It said to right click an uninstall then go to add hardware, an it searched for devices plugged in an BAM! A lil screen poopped up an said zen touch player detected......So i hurried an installed the new firmware an everything is ok now. So anyone havin the same problem follow these somewhat clear instructions. Thanks.

Big and strange problem with my Zen Touch, please he
I have had my Zen Touch since October and I have never had a problem with it, but suddenly yesterday I stopped for no obvious reason, it just froze.
I have since tried to reset it a number of times, and everytime it goes into something called "recovery mode", where I can "clean up", "format all" "reload firmware" or "reboot". Only reboot works, when I try to choose the other options it just says "harddisk problem".
I have then tried to upgrade the firmware through USB 2.0, but it freezes shortly into the process...
So now I don?t know what to do, I really hope that some of you can help me... Thanks a lotWell that's a big problem, but it's certainly not a strange one. In fact, it seems to happen to pretty much every Zen Touch ever.Last time it happened to mine I fixed it by putting the player in its case and dropping it on the floor. I'm not even joking.Edit: By the way, this usually means the hard dri've is stuck, particularly if your player is new. Hi, I just ordered my new Zen Touch 20gb online last night with a set of Sony earbuds (MDR-EX5LP). I'm pretty excited, get it this Friday.
I just had a few questions in advance:
A) Which programs are best for ripping, allow you to adjust the quality of the songs, and won't cause problems when burnt cds are ripped (saw a thread earlier that complained of bad quality when burnt cds were ripped to MP3 that worried me)?
B) What different types of cables/accessories would you recommend for wiring the Creative up to a stereo? On CNet.com and various other sites, they talk about how the Creative sounds great through speakers, and I'm really excited to hook that up, but I don't know A) Which cable to buy that will work well with the Creative/have good sound quality, B) Where to plug it in - headphone jack? (no analog Line Out, right?)
C) Has anyone had any experience with the remote? Is it pretty durable? I'm not going to plop down 50 plus shipping and handling, wait 2-3 weeks for the backorder, only to have it fall to bits in a few weeks.
Thanks SO much! I appreciate any and all help. I'm new to Creative/Mp3 players as a whole, so forgive any ignorance/mistakes.I have used WMP0 exclusi'vely for ripping CDs. I rip WMAs at 28kbps, though you may want to go up to 92kbps if you can hear the difference (some people recommed ripping a song at both and deciding which is best). I sync all my CDs with WMP0 too, and have had no issues. One thing to caution you is to make sure your ID3 tags are correct before you sync up. What I mean by this is to make sure the album name, track titles, and artist names are to your liking. 90% it is not an issue, but sometimes, the titles have extra characters you may not wish to have. If you have more than one artist listed on a track, only the first one is loaded. So if you have, say: "EmmyLou Harris; Buddy Miller", the track is stored under artist Emmylou Harris only.</LI>
Belkin sells this Dell DJ base that the ZT will fit into (there is another thread on that here). That seems like a nice option. You do go out of your headphone jack. Any chord that has the headphone jack on one end, and stereo RCA (red, white) jacks on the other end will do.</LI>

I got a firmware problem on my zen extra please hel
i was trying to upgrade the Firmware on my Zen Xrta with the PlayForSure but it stops updating and i shut the mp3 player down and now im stuck at rescue mode...i tryed to reload the Firmware but it gives me a MTP device, and don't show up in Windows Media Player beta, Realplayer, or Media Source...when i turn it on it said Firmware Problem and just does on the rescue mode...i want to get out of rescue mode so i can put my songs on..if i sound mean it because i been frusted at this...
For all those still suffering from this problem I managed to get it fixed. While searching about for other people with the same problem I found one post where someone said their player wasn't being recognised and he was recommended to go back to Windows Media Player 0 (instead of ). He said he did it and now it worked. So I did the same (after a few problems with windows I got back to an older version of WMP). I then found on the knowledgebase page a link for people having problems with connection. There are then 2 pieces of software from microsoft (updates I think) it says to install. After I did this and restarted the computer I was able to run the firmware update again and this time the player was recognised, and now it works .

Various problems with my ipod touch please help

I need help yesterday when i plugged my ipod in to update my podcasts like i do every morning I kept getting an error message that i can't remember and then when it was finished syncing there was no content on it. then i started getting the error message that my account had been disabled due to security purposes??? anyway i went to work (without my ipod...tourture!) and when i got back i tried to sync it again only this time my ipod was giving me the message that it couldn't be synced because there was not enough space but i my ipod is a 32 gb and when i clicked on the ipod screen the bar at the bottom had my usual adudio and video content (the space that it uses) but then the rest of the bar was yello (other content?) and I don't know what it is and its taking all the space up on the ipod. so i tried restoring it but the same thing would keep happening. so i uninstalled itunes piece by piece (to my dismay i lost everything in my library and it won't open now. I went to teh apple website to try and download the itunes but it kept telling "now that you've downloaded itunes lets get started" but nothing had actually downloaded! i finally got the 32 bit version to install but now when i try to open itunes it won't and gives me the error message that "itunes can't be opened because it was created by a new version". i have lost everything and now i can't even use my ipod. i paid 3 or 4 hundred dollars for this about two years ago not to mention all the content i have already purchased and its all lost and I don't have any warranty. Can anyone help????- Try completely removing and reinstalling all the Apple software using these instructions:

- The try restoring the iPod via iTunes. First try restoring from backup. If still problem then restore to factoery defaults/new iPod

Tracks seem to be jumping a bit so i did a reset and clean up, however after it started rebuilding library, a firmware problem is popping up and i've have no clue how to solve it. Resetting it just brings me right back and I can't get it to the menu for reboot/ format. Please help !
I'm having the same problem with my Zen Touch. When I press Play/Pause, it will sometimes work correctly, other times it acts as if I had pressed Previous. When it does this, it sometimes jumps to the start of the current track, sometimes to a different track. This is the most common problem, but I have also had it act as if I had hit Random. I have tried loading the latest firmware, but this had no effect on the problem. Thanks.

I have big Problems with my Zen Touch 40gb May be one of the members here can help me!!because my local dealer isnt able to do this Because the player is older than one year ( y and 3 months) I think that the garanty is normaly to short for this player. In germany you can read a lot about the problems of the Zen. Can it be that the Software doesnt work 00 % I was the last year in Poland so i had the zen 3 times in use The player freeze everytime and the biggest problem now, i cant switch the player on to make an update or something !!! please help.
Greetingssry about ur problem. I had/have some of ur problems with my zen micro 5g. have u tried 2 reset it into recovery mode and do a cleanup? it won't mess up any of ur songs or anything like that.

Problem with Creative Zen Touch DAP-HD0014

I have the Creative Zen Touch DAP HD004 as listed in the subject. Version .0.03
In the "Information" part of the player, it lists it as having GB of music available, but in the menu only the 59 default classical music songs appear. (These are not knowingly mine!)
I was wondering whether there was any way to turn the player into Hard Dri've mode to retrieve these songs, or to use some sort of program to view them and put them back onto the player? Everytime I use My Computer to browse the MP3 Player, all that appears are the same 59 songs.

EDIT: I downloaded a trial version of "Notmad Explorer" and I can now see 2590 Data Files. Once I download a full version, is it simple to just conver Data Files into Audio Files?

2. What version of the iOS are you running (Settings > About)?
3. Do you use MobileMe/ iCloud or another server based sync solution like Google or Yahoo?
4. Do other changes to synced information like Address Book content sync successfully back and forth?
Based on your description it sounds like you have a 1 way sync issue. Events sync fine between the iOS devices and fine from the computer to the iOS devices but not from the iOS devices to the computer.
Try:
Backup your computer and iOS devices before doing anything else:

My iPod Nano 7th Generation couldn't be detected by iTunes when I plugged in. I tried resolving the issue by uninstalling the iTunes and then install it back again but yet still the same problem exist. Can you please help me to solve this issue? I am using IOS 4.1 in Ipod touch. I would like to take my data back using icloud. I am not able to enable icloud in to my ipod touch. please help me for the same. Basically I am trying to take back to upgrade my ios to 5 or 6 version.
You can't back up to iCloud until you update to iOS 5 or higher. You will have to back up your iPod on your computer using iTunes. Update iTunes on your computer to the latest version, then connect your iPod to your computer, open iTunes, if iTunes give you a pop-up asking if you want to update your iPod, decline. Then click on the name of your iPod in iTunes, go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases to transfer any purchased media to your iTunes library. Next, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click on Back Up Now to back up your iPod on your computer.
When it's done backing up, click on Check for Update (or Update) on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings. Allow your iPod to update, and leave it connected to your computer. At the end, it will restart and give you the option to restore to the iTunes backup you made earlier. Choose this option to restore your backup and sync your apps and other iTuens media to your phone.
