Firmware version and it's benef

I just recieved my new 6gb Micro on friday. While I was waiting, I was on the forum everyday and I came across many frimware threads. Being a newbee I woud like clarification.
What is the standard firmware version on the 5gb models?
I have firmware version.02.05, does this version reduce the battery power drained during AC charging?
What are the benefits to upgrading to the new firmware (2.0x.xx) and is the upgrade worth it's

What is the standard firmware version on the 5gb models?
Some seem to be shipping with .02.05
I have firmware version.02.05, does this version reduce the battery power drained during AC charging?
There's no problem with battery drained *during* charging. And no firmware yet corrects the battery drain issue, only the connection order problem (which is detailed in the firmware's details at the download page).
What are the benefits to upgrading to the new firmware (2.0x.xx) and is the upgrade worth it's
It adds MTP support, which is essentially driverless support on Win XP systems with WMP0. I would suggest you don't do it, unless you really want this feature.

  • Firmware Versions and networks and / sim free...

As has been stated elsewhere ad nuaseum...
There are various forms of firmware avilable for the phones out there.
Can we start a post that states the phone, whether networked or sim free, the country and the version of firmware.
In this way we ALL know what is the most upto date version for our handsets, networks and countries etc
    NOTE to moderators!
Can we ensure the the format and content of subsequent posts is kept to the following example (please) : -

    Vodafone UK
    V 10.0.0.018

Come on people, information is the key to knowledge and power.
If we know what is and is not availble by network we can exert pressure on the networks who have NOT released their B*st*rd*s*d versions of firmware.
We all benefit and we have the advantage of knowing that it availble in HK or Dubai but not here etc
    Knowledge is TRUE POWER!

  • What is the software/firmware version and Nike+ipod problem

Mine says 1.0.1 in iTunes and says it is up to date. I tried to update the 1.2 version from June and it won't let me.
I am having problems with the Nike+ipod receiver recognizing the sensor and the Apple help says to have version 1.2.
Any thoughts. I've never used this before so I guess it is possible that the sensor is broken from the start.

Hey, i though that i have the same problem but for 2nd gen ipods you dont need the 1.2 version but the 1.0.1 that come with the ipod instaled. When you put the transmiter it works ok

But now , i can't see it , my battery only stand on 49% , no down and no up .
    Sorry for my bad english
    Please help me !!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If I understand your situation correctly, then yes. When the AC adapter is attached, it should not run the battery.
If the system does not work on battery only, then there is a different problem.

    Hello pcyservice
There is NOT a way to downgrade/roll-back/revert to a previous firmware without wiping all data.  This is specifically mentioned on the firmware update page:
    " CAUTION!
This update is not data destructive, however, ALWAYS back up your data before performing any firmware update!
Once you have updated the firmware, you will NOT be able to revert to an older firmware version."
I recommend you disable any unnecessary features/protocols such as Media Server and Active Folders, then reboot the unit.
If you are still experiencing performance issues, please contact LenovoEMC support to troubleshoot further.

  • Is there a firmware update for the Apple RAID Card [early 2009 Xserve] that will take it beyond the E-1.3.2.0 version and allow it to see 4TB drives?

Is there a firmware update for the Apple RAID Card [early 2009 Xserve] that will take it beyond the E-1.3.2.0 version and allow it to see 4TB drives?

I have a few of these RAID cards in a couple servers, and then I have an earlier version of the RAID card in a few different servers.
The earlier servers are running non-apple 1.5 TB drives. It will be interesting to learn if this firmware update will indeed allow me to boost the capacity by installing non-apple drives, as the firmware previously has not.
Ohh I'm excited to update and try! This will greatly help out if it does!

  • Change Boot Policy and Firmware Version for Service Profile using UCS PowerTool

I'm looking for the PowerTool syntax to modify both of these values on individual service profiles. The documentation behind most of these cmdlests is almosts non-existent.
I believe the boot policy may be able to be changed like this:
    Set-UcsServiceProfile -BootPolicyName
As for the host firmware version under the policies tab of the SP... I have no idea what that cmdlet would be.
    See attached images for examples.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hello,
One version of the User guide for UCS powertool can be found here:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/sw/msft_tools/powertools/ucs_powertool_book/ucs_pwrtool_bkl1.html
That guide makes notes of the following commands in regards to HFPs:
    Host Firmware Package
Create a Host Firmware package and set IgnoreCompCheck to No.
    $host_firm_pack = Add-UcsFirmwareComputeHostPack -Name host_firm_pack -IgnoreCompCheck no
Add a Host Firmware pack item.
$host_firm_pack | Add-UcsFirmwarePackItem -Type adaptor -HwModel N20-AC0002 -HwVendor "Cisco Systems Inc"
    -Version '1.4(1i)'
Set version of Host Firmware pack item.
    $host_firm_pack | Get-UcsFirmwarePackItem -HwModel N20-AC0002 | Set-UcsFirmwarePackItem -Version '2.0(1t)'
    Remove Host Firmware package.
    $host_firm_pack | Remove-UcsFirmwareComputeHostPack
I would also like to recommend the Cisco Developed integrations section which may be more specific to the powertool:

Strangely I dont have a handset but I borrowed an RS Dual Standard Test Set off a mate - it looks like Dom Jollys mobile...
Anyway, I tried it and did the quiet line test.  There is no crackling or "noise" like that. There is a slight hum or buzz - its quiet but noticable.
The setup I have is as follows: The line comes into the house and staight to the wall socket Im using. Im assuming that makes it the master and its not connected to any other extensions or sockets in the house.  The wall socket has 2 connections on the faceplate - an RJ11 which the hub plugs into and also a normal landline connector in which I plugged the RS test handset.
I have tried it with both the Hub plugged in and also not plugged in. No difference.  I also tried a microfilter in the phone socket but I dont think I need that as the faceplate has both connectors so Im assuming it has a microfilter built in yea?  It made the buzz a little worse actually
So as its been a long time since I used a landline, is the little "buzz" normal? Or should a quiet test be absolutely silent?
    thanks again
