Flash 10 HD Fullscreen stuttering

Hello. Im currently trying to run hd flash content on my new pc in fullscreen but it stutters something terrible. It seems to run fine when not in fullscreen Mode. The pc is an intel i5 2.66ghz per core, 4gb trichannel DDR3 ram and a Nvidia 9500gt with a blistering 2ghz clock rate. The operating system is windows 7 64-bit and im using firefox browser. Why does my laptop which is only a shady 1.8ghz celeron M run hd content in fullscreen smoothly (albeit eating most of the cpu) and my new pc cant? Anyone got any suggestions?

  • When using Flash plugin in Fullscreen the video starts pausing occasionally for a second. OK when not in Fullscreen and works fine in Fullscreen with other Browsers.

    I have recently upgraded to 10.0 and whenn using Flash Player in Fullscreen it behaves badly. Starts pausing frequently for aroun a second. It's annoying. When I escape fullscreen and run it within the Browser panel it's fine.. Other Browsers work fine in Full Screen Mode. Tried it with IE and Google Chrome. Firefox is my default Browser so my preferred option.

    I have never heard of such a thing, but the first thing I would try is to disabled Hardware Acceleration (Flash Player Settings).

  • All flash versions after 9 stuttering.

    As it says on the headline, all versions of flash 10 stutter for me, regardless of whether gpu acceleration is on or off. I have tried many versions up to the latest flash 10, and I'm still getting stuttering. I have always had this issue with these flash versions. This stuttering bug is only 100% reproducible with smooth, clear-lined flash animation (the kind you can zoom in indefinitely and not get jagged edges). Occasionally the bug is removed for two minutes and then it continues indefinitely. I'd really like to use flash 10, since I get better very much better performance with the gpu acceleration.
    I believe that my specs should be quite sufficient:
    CPU: Q6700, overclocked to 3,6GHz
    RAM: 4GB DDR2-800MHz
    GPU: Asus EAH5830 1GB
    OS: Vista 32bit
    Main browser: Firefox 4 (this happens also on (Opera 11.11 and IE9)
    Any help?

    Thanks for the information. With Flash Player Installed correctly you shouldn't be having any problem with Flash Player. The fact that this is happening with all browsers and other Flash Player versions that you've tried, would indicate some common conflict/Setting. Is there any common addon in each of the browsers, perhaps an Anti-Virus addon? You could rule out Microsoft/Adobe addons.
    RealPlayer/Skype addons conflict. Some Toolbars do also.
    What happens on just a youtube video, using each broswer? Is there any difference if hardware acceleration is off or on?
    Normally when there are video issues, turning off the hardware acceleration and updating the video card is suggested.

  • Problem with Adobe Flash Player in fullscreen mode

    Hi everybody, I have noticed a problem with flash player while I'm watching streaming programs in fullscreen mode.
    The problem is that when I'm watching something in fullscreen mode and the quality is set to "high" I have a stammer in both sound and image.
    When I 'm watching in "medium" quality everything is fine in fullscreen mode.
    The default selection is "high", how can I change this to "medium" ?
    It's very annoying to change this all the time manually.
    thxx in advance
    p.s. I use windows 7 64bit ultimate and the latest version of both firefox and adobe flash player

    So, you didn't need help with anything, you just wanted to rant?

  • Flash player to fullscreen non widescreen.

    I have looked several places and I can't seem to find anyone that can help me with this I want to know how to get Flash Player(on websites) to go completely fullscreen on my 1280x1024 display without it keeping its widescreen values. I want it to fit to the whole screen without it being widescreen and showing black areas on the top and bottom to fill in the extra space. Is there any way to edit some computer settings or flash player settings to do this? I am specifically talking about viewing streams on Twitch.tv, but any flash player based site would also be helpful. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks

    This is something that the website (twitch.tv for example) would need to implement, Flash Player does not dictate the video dimensions.
    However, unless the widescreen content is zoomed/cropped or the aspect ratio is changed, causing the video to become stretched/squished, there's not much you can do about letter boxing when going from 16:9 to 5:4.

  • Using Chrome beta, fullscreen flash videos not fullscreening Chrome

    └─> yinfo google-chrome-beta
    Name : google-chrome-beta
    Version : 24.0.1312.35-1
    Some recent update seems to have done this: http://i.imgur.com/IspAE.png   Hitting fullscreen on a flash video will make it fullscreen within Chrome, but Chrome stays windowed, resulting in video cut off at bottom and also, Youtube doesn't auto-720p+ when hitting fullscreen on the video as it's still registering it being in windowed mode I think.
    If I hit F11 first, then fullscreen the video, it's fine, but I'd like to have it back to auto-fullscreen. (In my settings>privacy>content settings>fullscreen, I do have youtube.com allowed as an exception). Also I opted out of the HTML5 trial on Youtube, and this affects all flash whether youtube, twitch, etc. Thanks for any help!

    Have you tried downgrading libxcursor?

  • Posting flash videos in fullscreen on website

    Hi,
    We have .swf video generated using Adobe Captivate.We want to post it in our website. We want users to watch videos in fullscreen. But flash player(flash player 11.6 with active_x) does not seem to have fullscreen option.So we have to set size of flash using width and height parameters. But Its not possible to give width and height suitable for all resolutions. So is there any way to give fullscreen option in flash player or any way to watch .swf video fullscreen in website??

  • Flash Content on Safari Stutters Badly...

    I am trying to troubleshoot for my sister who has an iMac G4 800mhz; 768mb RAM; 64mb VRAM; running 10.4.10
    Quicktime trailers play fine for her in Safari, (or on her desktop), but with Flash content, like at Youtube, or Comedy Central, the video playback stutters badly. I define stutter, as unwatchable jumpy video, and audio that plays back better than the video, but also drops out occasionally.
    I've upgraded her to the the latest version of Flash, and that did nothing. I also downloaded Firefox, just to check another browser, and Flash content stutters there to.
    My next idea, as a test, was to download a flash file to her desktop, and see if it stutters there without using Safari, and it's flash plugin, as the player.
    So I downloaded a flash file from youtube, (by doubleclicking it in the activity window, which automatically downloads a file called, "get video," with no file extension, and a generic icon.)
    I then added a .flv on the end of the file name, and the icon turned into a flash icon.
    Now, I want to note, on my computers, when I add a .flv on the end of the name of one of these files I've downloaded from Youtube, when I highlight it in a finder window under column view, I see a preview of the movie, which I can play there. I can also ctrl click, and choose, open with other, (because flash player will not open an flv file), and choose Quicktime as the app, it opens and plays.
    On her computer, when I highlight the same file in column view in her finder window, there is no preview visible, just a large flash icon, and the file will not open with her Quicktime app either.
    Now, I could care less whether she can play the darn things on her desktop, though I am perplexed that I cannot. (I was just troubleshooting.) Btw, we are both using the same versions of OSX 10.4.10; Safari 2.0.4; Quicktime 7.2; and Flashplayer 9.0
    All I want is for her to be able to play Flash content on Safari without the stutter.
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks for your reply.
    I've been hearing nothing but crickets!
    I guess it's just the old machine that's the problem. Thanks for the confirmation, -that you have had the same experience.
    No wonder the "five bar," pros that work these boards have had no solutions to offer. They're usually, on the money.
    I am aware of downloading the flv files and converting them with iSquint. I've told her she can do that, and while that would be fine for me, (though I don't have this problem), it's not a solution she is happy with. I use my activity window to find and download flash files all the time, that don't have a download link readily available. I suppose if she wants the vid badly enough, she will call me and I'll walk her through it.
    She has been talking about upgrading her system, for some time now, so this will just be one more reason for her to do so.
    Thanks again!

  • Flash 11.7 audio stutters over RDP

    We have a VDI environment with Windows XPsp3 VMs accessed via RDP.
    While we were using Flash 10.3 audio was ok and video was acceptable.
    Now that we have upgraded audio quality is horrible, it just stutters.
    Sounds like someone talking while driving over a very bumpy road.
    Any idea on how to get this back to how it was on 10.3 ?
    Thanks
          Paul

    Ok, lets start. The first option you gave me. Didn't work. I went into safe mode like it said (RealPlayer is not on this computer). The problem still presisted. I then made a new profile, and still the same responces. Tried default one more, no avail.
    I then prceeded to the step for the mms.cfg file.  Unfortunately, I cannot access that file. It's not readable on the computer. (Such problems with every turn I take )
    So, I then proceeded to the second option of the hardware acceleration. Talk about falling flat on my face. It wouldn't even pull up my type of flash for me to even access the settings. It gave me the little sad face stating "Adobe Flash has crashed".
    I have provided screen shots of what I get when I get the Adobe crashes.
    This is the first popup window I get whenever I start to have issues with Flash.
    This is showing what I got for the type of flash. except, first time it showed, there was the sad "Flash Crashed" face image. Notice the notification in the right bottom on the screen. That pops up everytime Flash forces close.
    This is the sad "Flash crashed" face I am talking about. And yes, I submit reports everytime I get the chance to.
    I don't know if this would help. But this popup happens occasionally with the Flash popup.
    Just an FYI; that first Flask Popup even occured everytime I went to attach an image.  Hopefully this will help figure out what's going on. Please let me know if you need more info.

  • How to center a flash content in fullscreen mode

    I tried this for a flash exe file :
    import flash.display.*;
    stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.SHOW_ALL;
    stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;
    but i get a full black screen. any ideas what i am doing wrong.

    Hi there
    DOS applications tend to like to be the only kid in the sandbox (so to speak). As a result, they usually don't like sharing their memory space much. It is my own educated guess here that this is why Captivate is unable to capture when the application is in Full Screen mode.
    I'm admittedly confused by the desire to capture at full screen. This is generally a bad idea with Captivate. But if that's your need, that's your need and that's for you to choose.
    The only suggestion I might offer is to size the application so it is nearly full screen and capture that way. Then use Captivate's Project > Rescale option to make the project resolution larger. You would center the main part of the recording and fill the newly added space with the color of the recording background.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Latest Flash update broke fullscreen

    I am used to watch youtube videos on full screen while doing other stuff. I pause the videos, alt tab to do stuff in other windows, then resume watching the video
    But since latest update, whenever I alt tab while video is paused, it exits full screen mode, so I have to enable full screen again every time. This did not happen before update - I could watch videos and then just alt tab back to the full screen
    Tried different computers and different browsers, so the problem is with Flash and not with something else
    Please patch this is an EXTREME inconvenience for me and others as well most likely!

    I'm sorry you're going through this.  You might be running into a conflict with our Protected Mode which was introduced in Flash Player 11.4.  Please try the troubleshooting steps outlined in this FAQ:
    How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?
    In particular, I'd recommend temporarily disabling protected mode (for troubleshooting purposes only) to see if that addresses the issue.
    If the crashing continues, please open a new bug report on this issue over at bugbase.adobe.com. The following FAQ will walk you through the information we'll need and instructions for generating a crash log (if applicable):

  • Flash Projector file fullscreen re-sizes my f4v files

    I added the action script (both with stage display and fscommand) to make theprojector.exe file launch full screen. The stage display works but when I browse through my file and go to a couple videos I have, it seems they are being re-sized as well and the creen is black. Is there a way to fix that? I'm REALLY new to this and built a whole presentation using Google

    ok , so if I understand correctly...copy/paste my index.swf file only to my dreamweaver folder, nothing else? All my files (index.swf and index.fla, index.html are on my desktop in a folder and my content such as scripts generated by flash and my images are in a subfolder in that folder on my desktop.
    Sorry, I am slow to understand loll
    Ok so here is my website, even after adding background color to the body, still see white when it loads. I have high speed internet, I can only imagine those who don't. How to fix that?
    Other issue... my "shop" button. It seems to work fine, but if I test it out a couple of times, then it will give me an error message that it can't access the external link but no wonder it can't, for some reason it adds an http:http:// twice in the browser. In my case, being http:http://www.etsy.com/shop/natdzign. Huh?? Oh and how can I actually center it so it keeps it centered no matter the size of your monitor? I just realized my website isn't centered. Damn!!!
    Keep in mind that when looking at my website, this is my first flash website. I've made html/css websites before however.

    NOTE: For now it works, until I decide to play around with it again, either you will see a under construction page or a error 404 hehe.

    Can you say even more about what it is you want to do? I mean, what will the application do, not what are the technical aspects of how it will work?
    For a point of comparison, look at this thing I did:
    http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/mixit/
    If you try out the Make page, both the template ones and the from scratch one, as well as the View page to see the playback unit in action. Is what you're going to do anything like that?
    I have tried the playback part of this as a mobile app, and it so very nearly works ok! Amongst the many problems are that the overall data rate needed is quite high, and mobile devices aren't as consistant or high bandwidth as desktops, the external swfs often need code in them, so that rules out iOS, and to do the layering involved rules out H.264.
    At some future time there will hopefully be StageVideo that can use H.264, but I don't know when that will be, or whether it will be responsive enough (FLV is much faster to connect to and play than H.264).
    Incidentally, even in the Objective-C world you can't lay things on top of the standard iOS H.264 player. To do that you have to use the AV Foundation class, so it's fairly low level programming. Using FLV in Flash is a lot easier!

  • Firefox exits DOM fullscreen when clicked on a swf, how do I have a div that contains flash in a DOM fullscreen?

    The markup:

    <div id="flashContent"/>
    <div id="bottom"/>

    This wiorks
    if (outer.mozRequestFullScreen) { outer.mozRequestFullScreen();}
    But when I click on a div #flashContent the browser exits fullscreen immediately. This happens only in Firefox, all other browsers stay in fullscreen. Is there a solution?
