Flash 11.7 shows all content as a black box; aside from Youtube

This is my problem, there are many like it, but this one is mine.
I recently upgraded to Flash 11.7 after being prompted by Firefox telling me my current version (11.6.602.180) was insecure. After upgrading many video sites render videos as an unwatchable black box.
Bizarrely Youtube appears immune to this, here is my experience with GameTrailers.com:
Video area loads, loading spinner appears. Shortly afterward spinner vanishes and area remains black permanently. The right click context menu provides the normal options, however any attempt to turn off HW acceleration is ignored (box is already reticked when re-entering the menu).
Things I've tried:
Uninstall Flash
Delete Flash registry entries
Delete Flash files (appdata, system32, syswow64, etc)
New Firefox profile
Uninstall Firefox
Delete Firefox registry entries (Mozilla, MozillaPlugins)
Update Flash to latest beta (11.8)
Things that worked:
Downgrading Flash back to (11.6.602.180) immediately resolved the problem (although now I have to click multiple times every time I want to watch something just to load Flash)
Obviously my current solution is not ideal, so any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks, I was remiss in not having already tried safe mode, good shout.
Unfortunately it didn't resolve the problem even after turning off HW acceleration (in Firefox).
Guess we can rule out extensions. :(
Is this a common bug with Win7, FF and Flash 11.7? Or is the presumption that something on my system is bugged?

When using the viewer window content that falls outside of the bounds of the composition is cropped. Is there a way to show all content similar to how flash works? This would arranging things a whole lot easier!

Haha! I was about to say how this is annoying - i'm trying to make a big structure and then zoom around it and then I realised....build the structure and then make the camera move, not the object! It's obvious really! Ugh...you've got to love fridays.

Hi,
Close any open Internet Explorer windows.
Open windows Control Panel, open Internet Options, click the Security tab and click Custom Level. About half way down, under the heading Miscellaneous, there is an entry for 'Display Mixed Content' - click Enable and then Ok, then click Apply and Ok in the previous window.

Clicking on "Show All Content" Closes Window

I am working through an issue with a web-based learning tool. When the player launches, a banner appears across the bottom stating that "Only secure content is displayed" with a button labeled "Show All Content". When I click on the
button, the entire player window closes. I know how to get rid of the warning and have applied a group policy to a set of computers and that works fine to get rid of the banner. But my question is: Why is showing all of the content - secure and not secure
- forcing the window to close?

We may disable the “Only secure content is displayed” message
from IE:
1. Tools-> Internet Options.
2. Tap or click the Secruity tab, and then tap or click the Custom Level.
3. In the Settings box, scroll down to the Miscellaneous section, and under
Display mixed content choose from the following options:
Disable, will not display non-secure items.
Enable, will always display non-secure items without asking
Prompt, will prompt you when a webpage is using non-secure content

Photoshop cursor show up as a BIG BLACK BOX?!! - HELP CS3

I'm not sure what happened, but when I select ANY tool other than the 'move tool' my cursor shows up a a solid black box of varying sizes. The move tool shows up correctly but any other tool shows up a a large solid square. If I hold the command, the black box converts back to the move tool... see screen shot below. I circled the 'cursor' in red to show the black box state.
Any help GREATLY appreciated. I'm not sure if my 2 year old pressed keys to turn something on/off or if my Macbook Pro is failing?

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

Concatenated PDF file does not show all content.

When I concatenate 2 single page pdf file into one pdf file, the concatenated page does not show all the content. It misses the last line on the 2nd page.
However the thumbnails view shows the missing line correctly.
Also, if I view the concatenated pdf into another pdf view, it shows the content correctly.

Upon further research in the merged pdf file, it appears the merged pdf file has 2 references to the same field "UFE_ISSUE_DATE".
If I edit the pdf file in the text editor and change one of the field name to "UFE_ISSUE_DATE_TEST", then the pdf gets rendered correctly with date value shown correctly!
So, we decided to use 2 different field names in each of the individual pdf for this field only.
But, what causes confusion is that we do have several other fields with same field name in each of the individual pdf file, but upon merge they appear correctly. Searching for such field name in the merged pdf file via text editor, I can see only 1 reference. Not sure, why this particular field "UFE_ISSUE_DATE" has 2 references in the merged pdf file.
Any one has any thoughts?

I have no 'imports and exports' option after opening 'show all bookmarks'. How do I import from a backup file?

Flash player not showing all of pix on web page

Have latest flash player 11, IE 10, windows 7 64bit. Have tried everything that I have found on your site, still having problem when I go to a page, all of pix will not show up. Have downloaded firefox, but it is the same. Also talked to internet provider, says its not their problem, but they tried a lot of different thing. Activex filtering not checked. Shockwave flash object enabled. What should I do next?????

Apex Flash Chart Not showing all rows

I am using APEX 4.0.2 and have created a flash chart. I added a scroll bar, but don't get all of the rows that I expect. I ran the sql in a PL/SQL develoepr session and get all of the expected data. Where do I tell APEX to return all data found?

Second half of the question:
I have about 1500 rows reporting in the horizontal chart. It seems that the chart has to be sized HUGE to keep the chart readable even though there is a scroll bar. Is there a way to force the hight of each horizontal bar rather than what it appears to be doing, which is shrinking each bar to the point it's not readable.

Will 'Erase All Content and Settings' remove Apple ID from my iPad 2?

Hi all.
I've read that Erase All brings the iPad back to how it was when it left the shop. But I need to comfirm something 'cos here's the situation:
1. I just sold my mum's iPad to a third party shop. All done, or so I thought.
2. I get a text asking for my Apple password so they can format the iPad.
3. I reply that it's not needed for Reset All/Erase All. (NOTE: No Passcode was set on iPad)
4. I get a text today saying: "But we need to change the app store. Otherwise if any other person buy it they cannot create new account. Maybe you can come and type it. After that we can reset in front of you."
Does the shop really need my password? I was under the impression that Erase All would do a factory reset and clear my Apple ID from the IPad too. Then the next person just sets up their own ID.
By the way, this is not a shop I really trust which is why I'm being so cautious. Also, I don't fancy going all the way there again.

Iphoto library on external hard drive now does not show all the photos when i access it from macbook

i backed up iphoto library to an external hard drive. Deleted photo library on the macbook. After transferring some new photos to macbook from a camera, when i access the iphoto library on external hard drive only the new photos show up. Originals are still in files, but don't appear when opening iphoto library on external hard drive.

Make a temporary, backup copy of your library if you don't already have one (Control-click on the library and select Duplicate from the contextual menu) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Computer crashed, lost all content. Need to transfer songs from iPod to PC

My computer was hijacked by a virus and all software was eliminated including iTunes and all of the songs/photos. I still have them on my iPod-Photo but don't know how to synch them back up with my "restore" PC.

New Computer Build with Windows 7 Adobe Flash Player won't install freezes with empty black box

I have just build a new windows 7 computer and every time I try to install adobe flash player, after clicking the install button, it goes to an empty black adobe box and freezes. I have tried changing settings in IE, but I can't figure it out. Will someone please help me.

Rotated transparent images Muse CC 2014 not compatible with IE8.... they all appear with a black box behind them.

IE 8 is supposed to be supported by muse CC 2014 but its not in the case of rotated transparent images.. Did not have this problem in the previous version of Muse. The code did not have progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Matrix... now it does...
Had to add ie8 specific css and code to the page and use a composite image instead of the individual images to get a page with no black boxes...

I see this is still an issue even after the latest update.... Will this problem be addressed? Right now I have to manually update the html code for each page after export. This is a site that I update regularly so every time a change is made I have to fix each page so it can be viewed without the black boxes in ie8.

That would not work...
What you have to do is save the uploaded file content on to a location and then pass the fileName as a request parameter to a deidicated which displays the contents of that file.
Just as an example
