Flash Builder 4.7 Silent Install

Hi We have bought a site licence for CS6 but we cannot get Flash Builder 4.5 to work so we have a licence for Flash Builder 4.7 so I have downloaded that.
Please can someone tell me how to do a silent install of Flash Builder 4.7 or how to package it up using the Adobe Aplication Manager
Please advise

Simon

my hunch is that it is a misleading error message.  the download manager fails every time near the end saying 'content invalid' and provides a link to download directly.  when i download via this link, the download always hangs indefinitely at the end unless i pause and resume... so perhaps the file is corrupt.
i have tried the 64 bit and non-64 bit versions.  the non-64 bit version of the installer downloaded directly refuses to run at all.

  • Deletion of Flash Builder 4.5 when installing Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP

There is a very serious error with the Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP installer (from http://static.zend.com/topics/Flash-Builder-for-PHP-4.5.0-Release-Notes.txt ):
If Flash Builder 4.5 (not PHP) is already installed on the machine, and the
product (Flash Builder for PHP 4.5) is then installed in a different location,
the user gets the "FB is installed" dialog.
After clicking OK, the installation rolls back and removes both Flash Builder
      and Flash Builder for PHP.
    My questions:
Can Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP be installed in the same location without deleting Flash Builder 4.5? If so, please define "location."
Is there a workaround for installing both flavors of Flash Builder 4.5 and avoiding the deletion issue described above?
Can a single do-it-all version of Flash Builder 4.5 be installed that combines the SDKs and features of both flavors of the Flash Builder 4.5 product?

    Hi Mike,
Could you please send the following log files so we identify the exact problem and hopefully help you quickly:
    Windows:
    1.       <path_to_adobe_fbphp>/_Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP.log
    2.       Logs located under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installer\
    Max OSX:
    1.       <path_to_adobe_fbphp>/_Flash Builder 4.5 for PHP.log
    2.       Logs located under /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers/
    Thanks for sharing this,

  • How can I install flash builder 4.7 silently.

    hi,
I need to install more than a hundred software at a time. So I need to install every software silently.
    1. Could you tell me if there are some varialbes to install Flashbuilder silently, without the clicking the "Install" or "Try" button at first, the following "accept" button , typing the "serial number"  and the "adobe account"?
2.Our company bought the license, so the way I can use this software is to download the trial version and then click the install button and type the license, is that correct?
Or is there other ways to use FlashBuilder?
    Thank you in advance!
    Looking forward to your reply!

You can download Flash Builder at http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html.  Please make sure to complete the Very Important Instructions section prior to clicking on the download link.

  • Flash Player for Windows - Silent Install

I push the Flash Player ActiveX control to all of my workstations, but now I have a user that need Flash Player for Windows so he can open Flash content within certain .PDF files.  I've downloaded the installer (Flash_Player_Install.exe), but I don't know how to make this install silently.
It's only one user now, but experience tells me that it will snowball quickly.

The Adobe Flash Player 11.7 Administration Guide focuses on the browser plug-ins.  More troubling is that Page 3 of the administrator's guide states:
    Note:
There is also a stand-alone player, but it’s usually installed by the development tools, not deployed by administrators.
This may mean that I can't get what I want out of this.

  • Flash Builder 4.0.1 install resets workspace and all preferences

I've just applied the 4.0.1 update, and loading up FB for the first time shows the default workspace. I'd made a lot of customisations to where panels were, what SDK's were used, what projects were present in the Package Explorer - all of which are now gone.
Why would an update reset everything back to the state the software was in the first time I ran it? Is there any way for me to restore the settings I had prior to the update?

    Hi,
Sorry that your update experience wasn't smoother.
There were a lot of tests run to cover that sort of scenario, so I'm surprised we didn't catch it prior to release. Before the update, were you using the default workspace name/location, or had you switched to an alternate workspace name?
If you were using a custom workspace name, then the solution to recovering your preferences would be to switch back to that alternate workspace again. A lot of the preferences are stored in the workspace, so if the updater switched you back to the default workspace name, that could explain the differences (I hope).

  • Installing Flex SDK into Flash Builder 4.7 problems

    Hi,
Im completely new to Flash Builder, today I have installed Flash Builder 4.7 & Flash CS6 from Creative Cloud for my son to start to learn game programming (with my help), I have used simple coding in web design however this terminology is new to me.
I bought my son the latest 'Foundation Game Design with ActionScript 3.0' book on recommendation but it was written when FB was version 4.5 so im guessing this might be the problem.
The book is very easy to follow but have hit problems at the beginning of the tutorials, the book talks about Flex SDK but it seems that FB 4.7 uses AIR SDK ?
So the first project called HelloWorld, we got up to:
Got an exclamation mark which said
'The import flash.display.Sprite is not used
    locally'
Continuing with the rest of the project the exclamation mark disappeared:
However on selecting run- Debug we got a blank Flash Player window  ('generate HTML wrapper file' was deselected)
So either we've done something wrong, or the book and FB version are not compatible?
    Any advice would be great!
    Thank you
    Latest ...
I thought that installing Flex SDK may solve the problem but after following instructions I have the error message, see image below. Really stumped now!

Sorry, if I went a little overboard. After re-reading your post, perhaps I should back up a little.
First, there are little things that Flash Builder (FB) will complain about. Having extra import statements in your code doesn't hurt anything. If I'm trying different solutions and then commenting out the code, the import statements will hang around, FB will complain, but just ignore it. If you see a little icon on the left edge of your code editor and its a red circle with an X in it, then that is something that will have to be fixed.
When you create an app in FB or Flash you can choose to create a web app which means it will run in a browser window. The project can optionally create an HTML wrapper, or web page that will load your app. In Flash Pro you can choose File->Publish Settings and there will be a checkbox on the left to publish a HTML wrapper. In FB, you can right click your project in the Package Explorer, select Properties at the bottom, select the ActionScript Compiler, and down at the bottom there will be a checkbox to create a HTML wrapper.
If you're just learning Flash Builder, then the FlexSDK 4.6 and the AIR SDK 3.1 that comes with it should be fine. You mentioned Apache SDK and I'd recently been working with that so I ended up getting side-tracked.
Getting an AIRSDK to work with when build ActionScript projects is easy. Just go to the adobe site, type AIR SDK in the search box, and you should find a page that will let you downloaded the latest version. There's also a page to let you download the latest AIR runtime, and if you were just going to run AIR apps and not build them, then that's all you would need. As a developer you'll want to install the runtime from the downloaded .exe file. With the SDK, after downloading it, installing it is easy. Just create a new folder an unzip the SDK into it, then place it somewhere easy to find. I put all my SDK's in their own directory right off the c: drive. So I have c:\AIRSDK_3.5.0.880 and c:\AIRSDK_3.7.0.1530. I use very descriptive folder names so I always know which SDK's I have to work from.
To use the SDK in Flash Pro select Help -> Manage AIR SDK, hit the plus button and add the folder you created. Now when you've opened a Flash project, you go to File->Publish Settings and select the combo box at the top, you'll see options like 'AIR 3.7.0.1530 for Android' in the list that reflect the SDK's you've added.
Generally with FB you'll be using a FlexSDK, or perhaps a FlexSDK overlaid with a newer version of AIRSDK. Overlaid basically means you copied the contents of the AIR SDK into the Flex Folder. The article I mentioned above will give you all the details on creating those. For instance, I downloaded the Apache Flex installer, installed it, then created an empty folder called c:\ApacheFlexSDK_4.9.1, launched the Apache installer, gave it the new empty folder I'd created, selected all the download options, and let it all download. If it launches a popup box or a security warning, you can allow it, and it will continue. Once you have the SDK and you want to use it with a project in FB, just right click the project, select Properties, selected that Compiler tab again, and up in the right corner you'll see 'Manage SDK's...'. Hit that link, add your new SDK to the list and give it a descriptive name, then selected the checkbox beside it to set it up as your default. If you do this, then all your projects set to use the default will automatically switch to it and rebuild. So if you want a project to stay with a specific SDK then select that option in your Compiler tab, and then you could use the combo box to select your new added SDK.
When I started with FB I think I spent the first 2 days going round and round with project settings and options until I got them all figured out.
When I develop, I usually have my browser open and I have bookmarks and favorites to let me quickly get to all the pages I use most often. Here are a few of them:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/index.html  <---- The API reference. In the packages window check out 'Top Level' at the top and Language Elements near the bottom. I think I have this page open in one or more tabs almost every day.

Ok, I think I went a little overboard again.

  • Can I install Coldfusion Builder as a plugin for Flash Builder?

I already have a licensed copy of Flash Builder 4.x installed, trying to install ColdFusion Builder as a plugin for Flash Builder. When I installed CFB, I selected install as a eclipse plugin and entered the path to the FB directory. Now I can't figure out how to invoke/add the CFB plugin in FB..
    Thanks in advance

You should have uninstalled rather than simply deleting CFB 2 plugins manually .
Please do the following  to fix it now. (If you have used Uninstaller to uninstall that would have cleaned all these things ):
Take a backup and delete the file: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Uninstall/{b8c666c3-1efd-11b2-bf3c-e04be4b2b610}.db
And you will be able to install CFB as plugin to Eclipse now.

  • Enterprise deployment of Flash Builder 4, how?

What sources or tools are available to aid in enterprise deployment of Flash Builder 4?  I need to create a 100% silent, 100% no touch installation and uninstallation.  I'd rather not capture it into a MSI.  I'm finding nothing on how to automate the installer at all.
I'd like some customization along with just how to do the actual install.  For example, being able to NOT install Adobe AIR, Flash Plugin/ActiveX and the accompanying Microsoft VC items or selectively installing them.  In our environment, EVERYTHING is layered - no application installs other vendor installs.  This simplifies managing and updating them.  When a user requests a application, all pre-reqs are installed and the actual app only installs if they all completed.
    Thanks,
    digital

For the path to your own copy of eclipse, if the link file isn't created automatically in silent mode, you could fix that quickly afterwards by copying the link file (either manually or with a script) from the bundled eclipse dropins folder into your own copy of eclipse.
Regarding silent deployment of volume SNs for FB4 Plug-in, we've been working up some documentation for that. Here's the approach, if anyone needs it.
Phase 1: Package the RIBS subinstaller (STIWrapper) for network deployment
first, install FB4 Plug-in normally (interactively) once locally, to obtain the embedded subinstaller here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4 Plug-in\install.support\AdobeFlashBuilderPluginSTIWrapperWin
that STIWrapper normally gets run automatically and silently by InstallAnywhere. Because it’s in CS Installer format, an enterprise deployment engineer can use Adobe’s regular CS5 Enterprise Deployment tools to configure it for embedding a volume SN.
when configuring the STIWrapper for Enterprise Deployment, the install path needs to go all the way down to the bundled Eclipse folder. For example that will be here by default: <Property name="INSTALLDIR">C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4 Plug-in\eclipse</Property>
docs and downloads for Adobe's Enterprise Deployment tools are available here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/creativesuite/enterprisedeployment.html
Phase 2: Deploying FB4 Plug-in to End Users
Before deploying, it’s important that any previously installed versions of FB4 Plug-in and its STIWrapper have been uninstalled. Generally, the Plug-in uninstaller will uninstall the STIWrapper automatically, but for more robust deployments, the enterprise engineer may want to automate a prerequisite step of uninstalling both FB4 and its STIWrapper.
Next, the silent installers need to be deployed in this order:
install the STIWrapper first, using the CS5 Deployment Toolkit
run the regular InstallAnywhere FB4 Plug-in installer silently.
To run the Plug-in installer silently, you can either use the "FB4_Plugin_Win_Installer.exe -i silent" syntax in your deployment scripts, or else place a new file named installer.properties right next to FB4_Plugin_Win_Installer.exe, in the same VM folder, and include this line in that file:
    INSTALLER_UI=silent
Important: in step 2 above you need to run the extracted FB4 Plug-in installer, using the same folder tree format found on the DVD, not the self-extracting ESD archive named FlashBuilder_4_Plugin_LS1.exe.
Alternatively, if you only have the ESD exe named FlashBuilder_4_Plugin_LS1.exe, and don’t have the FB 4.0.1 DVD available, you can obtain the same folder tree by running the plug-in installer interactively on a local machine. Cancel the installation right after it finishes with the part that says “...downloaded files are being extracted.” Locate the full plugin installer tree from your Temp folder, normally here: [yourHomeFolder]\AppData\Local\Temp\Adobe Flash Builder 4 Plugin\
Post this extracted folder (from the DVD or from the Temp folder) to a convenient share on your network and then use it for Step 2 above.
Note that this will only work fully on Win, because InstallAnywhere doesn’t support silent deployments on OS X. You could still use Step 1 on OS X to deploy a Volume SN the same way, but Step 2 would involve running the Plug-in installer interactively on OS X.
If you try out this approach, please let us know how it goes.
    Thanks,
    -Chris

  • How to promote Free User to a Team User License on Flash Builder v4.7?

    Hi,
Recently, we brought CC Team License. At present whatever the Flash builder 4.7 we installed is a standalone setup i.e; not installed using Creative Cloud.
However, later I installed the CC (as a Free User ID) and the same Flash builder 4.7 is recognized by the CC. But, It was expired now.
Now my question is how this Flash builder normal free user license will be upgraded to CC Team User License?
I know some invite by email from admin console. Does it make any difference for standalone and CC based installations?
Do i have to reinstall the Flash Builder otherwise?

It's same with me, i also using Google Nexus 7(2013). Just a simple default apps with nothing created by Flash Builder, it get error and not working!

  • Latest flex sdk for Flash Builder 4

    HI,
We bought Flash Builder 4 Premium and installed it.
Now I want to use the latest flex sdk to use with it (I am working on a project using TLF 2).
What is the version I should install, is it sdk 4.1 or 4.5(Hero).
In Flex 4.1 there are about three variations http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Downloads. Which one should I download if using 4.1 ?
    Please explain.
    Thanks

in sdk 4.1 download there are 3 download types. Can you please tell me the difference of 'Free Adobe Flex SDK' and 'Open Source Flex SDK' and which one should I use?

  • Problem launching Adobe Flash Builder 4 Tiral

I'm new to Flex and Flash Builder 4. I installed the 60-day trial of Flash Builder 4, encountered no problem with the installation. When I tried to launch it after installed successfully, an error message popped up saying: "Adobe Application Manager is needed to start your trial. Adobe Application Manager is needed to resolve this problem. However, it is missing or damaged. Download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com, or install this product agian."
I searched in Adobe.com and googled this "Adobe Application Manager" and found nothing about this product or software or something. It seems this "Adobe Application Manager" doesn't exist at all. Any one have any an idea about this?
The version I downloaded and installed is "Adobe Flash Builder 4 | English | Standalone Winows". My OS is MS Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP3. I don't have any previous flex builder version installed in my pc.

Sorry that your trials aren't launching. This appears to be the same problem being discussed here:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/628582?tstart=0
It doesn't look as if the install support techs have arrived at a solution yet, but they're diagnosing the problem, and hope to have a fix and/or workaround soon.

  • Not Working - PMD 1.1, Flash Builder 4, Flash Project

I have a Flash Actionscript project on Flash Builder 4 and after installing PMD and setting command line tools in preferences. I right clicked on src selected FlexPMD -> Run FlexPMD, Flex PMD View opens immediatelly, but nothing is there, just an empty window.
Is it even supposed to work with non Flex projects?

    Hi
make sure to read this thread http://forums.adobe.com/thread/537410?tstart=30
Basically if there's a white space on the path of your FlexPMD installation, workspace or project the plugin will fail.
This has been fixed in the trunk version and will be released very soon
    Cheers
