Flash CS5.5 crashing at startup/launch

Question

Like the title says, My Flash CS5.5 was working completely fine a few months ago and I never did anything to it, I launched it up yesterday and it doesn't work! I've tried looking up solutions everywhere, I've tried deleting files, updating my Java but none of them has affected it in any way. I've tried launching it from the program itself and not the .exe file, I tried running it from a cmd. It launches, has the little loadup screen and then it complains that it's not responding and just stops working. Reinstalling Windows or backdating it sorta thing is some options I'm not going to do because I don't want to have to go through all the process of it. If I can't get this to work I'll find some other program.

try resetting your preferences by holding down shift-ctrl-alt while flash is starting.  if done correctly you'll see a confirmation dialog.
if that fails, uninstall flash and clean the installation by following these directions, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
if that fails, start shutting down running processes to see what you have running that's causing the crash.
