Flash Player works with IE7 but not Firefox 2.0.0.4

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Using Firefox
Plugin icon (like part of a puzzle) required appears at top
of page with message "Click here to download plugin" when I go to
http://www.mclaren.com/ Most of
the page appears but top does not.
Try to download Adobe Flash Player Plugin Setup
Get the following message
'Adobe Flash Player Plugin Setup
The following applications need to be closed before the Adobe
Flash Player Plugin can be installed:
Firefox'
So I closed all programs including Firefox
Opened Internet Explorer and went to site
http://www.mclaren.com/ where
Plugin icon (like part of puzzle) appeared under Firefox. The
Plugin icon (like part of a puzzle) does not appear but a changing
graphic appears
I opened the list of installed programs - Control
Panel/Uninstall
I see that Adobe Flash Player ActiveX as being installed on
16/06/07 but the file size in blank
Using AVG 7.5 anti-virus so Norton Anti-virus is not on the
computer any longer except still have to uninstall Live Update 3.2
which would not install with Norton Anti-virus and requires a
special uninstall program
What do I need to do to get Flash Player to run when I am
using the Firefox browser?
Windows Vista Home Premium Version/Build 6.0 on HP Pavillion

Intel T-2250 1.73GHz
BIOS Version: F.12 19/12/2006 Hewlett-Packard
RAM 1014 MB
32 bit Operating System
Firefox 2.0.0.4
Windows Internet Explorer 7 Version 7.0.6000.16473 Update
Version 0

Not works means you get a blank screen as the webpage; works is when you have to allow Flash Player to run "outside of protected" mode several times to get the website to come up.
Try www.wzeconsulting.com on the three browsers to see what I mean.  wzeconsulting.com is not some spam site, it is the site for a business in China that I work with.

  • Flash player work with Safari, but not with Internet Explorer

My flash player had a problem so I uninstalled it.  I had a problem downloading the player with Internet Explorer, so I successfully download it with Safari.  The player works fine with Safari, but I cannot get it to work with Internet Explorer 8.
I used to have the Flash Player 10 Active X (10.1.85.3), which I had uninstalled.
I now have the Flash Player 10 Plugin (10.1.85/3)
The problem I had downloading the player with IE was that the "allow Active X" information bar never appeared and I was unable to see any download at all.
How do I get flash to work with my Internet Explorer 8 (8.0.7600.16385)?

This adobe web site worked easily for me, when I needed to install adobe flash JUST for IE8.
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
All you need to do is choose your OS in the top window, then in the bottom window choose "Adobe Flash Player 10.1 for Windows Internet Explorer", and voila, that is what adobe installs!! Give it a go. I had problems too, before I foud this. Diligent

  • Flash player works on youtube but not yahoo homepage

Flash player works on youtube but when trying to watch video on yahoo homepage says need to download adobe flash player I have already uninstalled several times but still won't work please help

YouTube uses javascript to determine if Flash Player is installed and switches to HTML5 (MP4), which requires no plugin, if Flash Player isn't detected. Yahoo doesn't do that yet. Here's why this is important, especially if you're using IE11.
The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. This is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released their latest "untested" browser. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

  • Madison Square Garden web site opens but when I click on view all concerts tab at the MSG site it does not open. It works with AOL but not Firefox

I go to '''www.thegarden.com''' I click on the tab '''View Full Calendar'''. It does not open. It works on AOL but not Firefox. And for some reason it also does not work when I use Internet Explorer. The majority of times when I click on that tab (in Firefox) it does not work. On a rare occasion it will open. I am not doing anything differently either time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Sites that use adobe flash player work on safari but not on firefox-it keeps asking me to download adobe flash player

Whenever I try to use a web site that needs Adobe Flash Player, Firefox asks me to download it. When I download it and try again, it still asks me to download. When I access the same web site using Safari, I have no problem. This is true for many web sites - whichever ones require Adobe Flash Player.

    Carole,
You do not seem to have Adobe Flash (aka Shockwave Flash) installed. If you did you would see it listed under your plugins. Follow the instructions in the article below to install Flash in Firefox.
    See: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Installing+the+Flash+plugin
After the installation, check your version here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
    or here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
    Current version is: 10.1.53.64

  • Flash Player works in Safari but not Internet Explorer 9

I've installed Flash Player 10.3 and it works in Safari but not Internet Explorer 9. When I look in Manage Add-Ins I see Flash Shockwave but not Flash Player. My operating system is Windows Vista Ultimate (32bit). Safari is 5.0.5 and IE 9 is 9.0.8112.16421. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Flash Player and uninstalling Norton 360. Nothing has worked so far. Can you help?

Thank you for your reply. Shockwave is loaded and enabled.
The files in flash directory are: a folder called FlashPlayerTrust: file, flash10q.ocx: file, FlashInstall.log; file, FlashUtil10q_ActiveX.dll; file, FlashUtil10q_ActiveX.exe, file, install.log.
    There is no file: NPSWF32.dll.
When I test the browsers I get no spinning logo in either Safari or IE9. Safari says: missing plug-in, where I think the logo should be. IE-9 says nothing at the same location.
    Thanks.

  • ASAP!!  Flash Player Works on Computer But Not Live.  (Could Be Easy)

I need to present this site in a couple of hours and ran into this problem.
I just added a Flash button that works perfectly on every single page except my gallery.php.  All the other pages are .html.  On my computer I can see the button perfectly, but when I uploaded and viewed the file it tells me to update my player.  Why would it not work live and does it have anything to do with it being a .php file?  Here's a link that works, The "Primerica" button on the top right is the focal point.
    Works:
    http://shepardsuperteam.com/chris/inner_circle.html
    Doesn't Work
    http://shepardsuperteam.com/chris/gallery.php
It looks more presentable in IE7 than FF but I need to remedy this ASAP!!!

With an intermittent problem, whether a solution really works
needs to be tested extensively. Someone else reported being able to
play Flash in FF with Flash 9 installed, IF they also had Flash 8
installed. But in that case and in yours, was there sufficient
testing before the solution was reported? Check out this page with
FF (it's a page that tends to generate the problem with a high
    frequency, but not always):
    http://www.yoism.org/?q=node/52#jill
If repeated testing on that page doesn't crash your ability
to play Flash, then your solution may really work. What version of
Flash does Adobe say you have when you visit this page?:
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_15507&sliceId=1
The other problem with IE is probably unrelated to this. Did
you reinstall Flash for IE? For IE, you have to run the exe program
    with winax.exe in the name.

  • Flash Player works for Administrator but not other users

I have Flash Player 10.2.153.1 installed and I am running Windows Vista 32-bit and Windows Internet Explorer 8.  If I am logged in as the Administrator I have no problem watching video previews from the Odeon and other similar websites.  However, if logged on a Standard user account Odeon film previews cannot be seen - all I get is a blank white viewing box with a small square box in the top left corner with the colours red, green and blue in it (it is too vague to make out what the logo is even when zoomed in).  The inability to watch video clips for Standard users seems to be random as some sites work while others do not?  Can anyone help solve this problem?  Why do I have this problems for the standard user accounts on some websites but not at all for the Administrator account on any website ???

    Experienced same problems: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/790415
Would very much appreciate a solution.

  • Slide show works with Safari but not Firefox!

I'm baffled: I was swapping out some new .jpgs for my site's looping photo slide show on the top of every page, everything was working fine 2 days ago and then... nada. I didn't change anything to cause it AND it displays fine with Safari. I'm pretty sure I have all my plug-ins up to date etc., so WTF?!?!?! Thank you.

Perhaps "slideshow" isn't the best description (I am NOT a programmer). There are six images inside the wood-looking frame on the top of EVERY page, which used to cycle through on a loop. I can still see them with Safari, but although I didn't change anything when swapping out the jpgs a couple of days ago (and they worked fine until yesterday)... they're no longer viewable on Firefox. Again... WTF?!?!?

  • Epson E-Web Print toolbar works with IE but not Firefox 28 on Windows 8 PC

Seems like the Epson E-Web Print toolbar stopped working after the update for Firefox 27. Switched to Internet Explorer and the toolbar works fine.

This from Epson's support site isn't very promising:
<blockquote>Q: EPSON E-Web Print does not work since I upgraded to Windows 8.1. Why does this happen?<br><br>
A: '''EPSON E-Web Print is no longer supported by Epson.'''<br><br>

What did it do? Maybe there's a good substitute.

  • I teach online and firefox is recommended, Recently, the email functions quit working. They work with Explorer but not firefox. I want to use firefox.

When using Firefox, I can work in LoudCloud, which is Grand Canyon University's program; however, any locations from which I send students emails, comments, answers to questions, etc., is no longer working. It works when I switch to Internet Explorer, but I want to use Firefox. It is more user-friendly. Should I re-download Firefox?

Could you check which mail program or site is set to handle "mailto" links and try resetting it:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Applications
In the search box, type or paste '''mailto''' and pause while Firefox filters the list. You should get one row with a drop-down on the right that lets you choose your mail program or site. If your program is not selected, go ahead and change it now. If it is already selected, try refreshing the setting by changing to another program or site and OK out of the dialog. Then go back and change it back.
Does that make any difference? If I have misunderstood the email feature you're trying to use, could you describe it in more detail?

  • Flash 10 works in FF but not Safari, OS X 10.5

About a week ago flash stopped working in Safari and both firefox and safari started bugging me to install a newer version.  Muttering, I went to the download page and downloaded the latest, which claims to be for Safari, Opera, and firefox.
Installation completes fine with no errors.  Firefox works.  But in Safari, I just get the usual 'no flash installed, would you like to download it?'
I've downloaded and installed multiple times, no dice.  Plug-ins are enabled on Safari.  I do not have settings folders to delete--/Library/Application Supprt/Adobe has no flash player folder, only Acrobat, Updater6, and Help.
This whole thing is a black box and I don't see what else to do.  Installation completes and there's no way to verify anything.  Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks! BTW I'm also having trouble updating Adobe Reader. I have 9.4.0 and want to update to the new Adobe Reader X. I keep getting Error 1402 which refers to the registry keys. I am unable to completely uninstall the old version. After receiving the error message it reloades the older version. I read about how to modify the registry to accept it but I believe this is a very wierd way to have to get an update loaded. Any suggestions?

Hi Bruce, Adobe Flash Player is Installed separately into IE, since Windows uses the ActiveX Control. Firefox and other non-IE

  • Flash videos choppy in IE8 but not Firefox?

I noticed when watching most Flash content in IE8 it has a lot of brief pauses which makes videos appear choppy, But if I open the same video in Firefox it plays fine, Is there anything I can check that might be causing this issue? Im running the same (latest) version of flash in both browsers.
Here's one example, If I play this in Firefox the framerate is smooth, but in IE8 it has random pauses throughout the video: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/review-hd-modnation-racers/100079
