Flashing stacks list...

When I scroll up and down in my Applications list, it flashes. It happens on both video cards - the 9400 and 9600. It does it in the Guest account as well. I can't figure out what's causing it... Sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't.
I rebooted into Safe Mode and it stopped flashing.

I just realized that it only does the flashing when the computer is not plugged in. As soon as I plug the power in, the flashing stops.

I get an error message when trying to install Flash Player.
I use Windows 64 bit with Internet Explorer 64x.
I'm able to download, the installation starts but it stops before completing.
I get this error message (loosely transalated) :

How can I fix this ?

I solved my problem by installing the Flash Player from home.
The network security at work prevented me from completing installation.

Hi Jyothsna,
A stacked list is a list used in Module Pool programming.
In an ideal scenario,you will define the screen sequence in either a static or a dynamic way.
By the statc way,you define the next screen and enter the next screen's value in it.
By the dynamic way,you code the statement CALL SCREEN XXX where the XXX means the screen number.The dynamic way overrides the static way of defining the screen sequences.
Now,if you want to insert a screen sequence,i.e a sequence of screens which are not defined in the same ABAP program,you either do it by static or the dynamic way again using the above constructs.
But in this case,a stack is loaded for a screen sequence and the screens are processed based on the sequence defined in it.
Before leaving this screen sequence,you should always destroy or delete it usng the keyword LEAVE as it occupies a lot of memory.

A stacked list is nothing but secondary list and is displayed on a full-size screen unless you have specified its coordinates using the window command.

Flashing stacked sequence auto start and stop

Seems like this should be so easy but I'm stumped.
I want to use some flashing leds while some of my data is plotted but can’t figure out a way to programmatically start and stop a simple flashing stacked sequence.

OK. Then put the flashing in the loop with Stuff 2, which I presume is the one for which you want to show activity. I modified your program to do this. I also eliminated the sequence structure by using dataflow. You can probably get down to one loop by changing to a state machine structure.
If the flashing rate needs to be a different rate than the Stuff 2 logic, put the slower part into a case structure which only executes one time for every n iterations.

Flash Stacked Chart - Only displays 15 columns

I have created a flash stacked chart. I have 30 values in my series but the chart will only display 15. Is there a setting I am missing

Yes, if you edit the first series query for your chart, near the bottom there is a setting for Maximum Rows.

Missing Fonts in Flash Text List

I am using Dreamweaver CS3 on a Windows XP computer. In the
"Insert Flash Text" dialog box, in the font drop down menu, I am
not seeing all of my installed fonts. I see a few OpenType and a
few True Type fonts, but more than half of my installed fonts are
not showing up in the list. I can see all my fonts in the "Edit
Font List" box for creating font families in Dreamweaver. So I know
parts of Dreamweaver can see all of my fonts.
I am totally stumped why some fonts aren't available for
flash text. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Stacks List View problem

I am very grateful that stacks has adopted the list view. It was getting out of control and some people don't want a huge spread taking over screen space when you have a lot in your folders.
I have one observation and a question.
1. The list view has the one fatal flaw of not allowing you to drag files from it elsewhere (like the trash). This is an essential part of stacks, especially your download stack. Am I missing something or did they just get this wrong?
2. Can you re-size the icons for stacks in fan and grid views? It would be much better for me if they could be smaller. I have the 24" monitor so viewing them is hardly a problem.

Ok I like the fact that we now have a third option on how to access our files via the Dock, but unfortunately, we only get to use one at a time.
It would be so much convenient to use a left click to access either Grid or Fan, and a right click to access the list view via a list item on the opening list.
Also, I notice that if you drag a file onto one of the stacks, the stack opens (via the spring loaded feature) and allows you to drop the file onto one of the applications. If you change your mind and don't actually drop the file, the window will close - which is GOOD. But if you do drop the file unto the application, the window will NOT close - which is BAD.
In addition, the look of the opening window is not the same look as when the stack is activated with a click. It actually turns into a Finder window.
So, the stack should open and close in all instances (being consistent) and it should have the look of a stack and not a folder (staying consistent). On the other hand, if the stack is opened via a list and subsequently opens to an actual Finder window, then obviously, it should simply be a Finder window and not an opaque (Stack) window.

Font showing in photoshop font list but not showing in the flash font list

Hi,
I have some issues with fonts. I am using a Mac OS X and i have installed the fonts into font book.
The installed fonts are showing up in my Photoshop CS3 font list but are missing from my Flash CS3 and CS4 font lists.
I am using .otf fonts.
Any help will be really appreciated .

I don't know what the problem may be, sorry.
Since the fonts are not from Adobe, you'll have to either contact the foundry from which you've licensed them or post this issue on the Flash forum at http://forums.adobe.com/community/flash/flash_general

Adding a metadata to Flash builder list

Hello,
Where should I look for if I want to add metadatas to Flash Builder's metadata list ?
I just want my custom metadatas to beneficiate from the metadata coloring Flash builder editor offers. Or even better, define another color for my custom metadatas, but I don't think this is as easy or even possible. ( For instance, the default metadatas come with the blue color, mine would be orange )

NEED: Illustrator - Flash Compatibility List

Does Adobe have a list of Illustrator effects and techniques
that are NOT compatible with Flash? If not, Adobe, please, get this
to us now! For example, I've found that drop shadows and dashed
strokes do not translate to Flash.

Yep, never thought of that - I know nothing about A.S. or php. Just learning both. I'm a C and VB guy so this is all new to me.
For some reason it tries to download and open the script file (and opens the php script in Dreamweaver) instead of displaying the XML data when I go to http://localhost/hr/source.php. Which explaines why A.S. cannot parse the XML data into nodes. I am running this on my production computer XP pro IIS ver 5.1 Any thoughts?

Flash XML List and video

Hi, I am starting to learn flash, and have never posted here
before but now that I am getting deeper in to flash kinda need some
help. I am trying to build a video player with channels, Kinda like
MSN. Now I found the new tutorial located here

and this is pretty much what I needed to to its a start. but I
would like to add channels to it, so a user can choose say local
news, national news, sports, ect. I think the way I would have to
do it is to add another list and have that list populate the
existing list. is that able to be done that way ? is their an
easier way to do it ? I like using the xml list so its easy to
update. but any help would be super great.

Reverse the order of stacks list view

Is there a way to reverse the order when viewing the contents of a stack in list view by date added?
For example, the downloads stack: the default setting puts the most recently added at the top of the list, meaning I have to scroll up to it, rather than at the bottom, where it'd be right there above the icon to click on.

The regular stacks view is viewable in this (very practical) direction, so why not the list variety?

Flash Catalyst + List + Dynamic ?

Hey guys,
my plan:
Create a nice List in Catalyst, containing custom items with a textfield in it. A Label u can say... The Question ist, how i can bind dynamic test @ this textfield (inside the listItem inside the List)
Of Course i am using FLashbuilder, to map the dynamic Text (Array) to the items of the List.

Hi Nico,
There's no way in this version of Catalyst to attach an editable Text Input control to dynamic data in a list. You'll have to write a little bit of code in Flash Builder to do this. However, you can get most of the way there in Catalyst:
Create a list in Catalyst and edit the list item's appearance
Place some plain text with the text tool where you want your Text Input to go in the final version (you can even draw a box around it, etc. to make your prototype look more like the final version)
Save the project and import this FXP into Flash Builder
Edit the list item's .mxml file
Locate the <s:RichText> tag for your plain text, and change the "<s:RichText" part to "<s:TextInput"
Tweak the position to line up with the original by reducing the x and y values a little bit
