Flex 10 error 0x80240031 when upgrade to 8.1

I am facing this error code 0x80240031 while updating to 8.1 at 50%. I trying everything (download last windows update, command prompt and type/run: "sfc /scannow, Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, change ISP and uninstall Antivirus).
My laptop Ideapad Flex 10 (Pentium processor 2.00 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Wondows 8 32-Bit)
Any new solution?

The IdeaPad Flex 10 supports Windows 8.1, but it is recommended you back-up your data prior to upgrading to Windows 8.1.
I cannot guarantee you will not experience problems. But I would take the following steps to perform the upgrade:
1. Back-up your data and important documents
2. Perform the Windows 8.1 Upgrade/Update
3. Install all Windows 8.1 drivers from: http://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/flex-series/flex-10-notebook-len...
4. Reinstall malfunctioning programs/software

  • Error 3194 when upgrading to ios 7.

I receive error 3194 when upgrading to ios7 on my iphone 4 ( and I really don't know if it is 4s or just 4).  I am working though the itunes softward on my home computer.  It seems I am stuck in something called recovery mode.  I have tried a variety of suggestions found on the web (e.g., editing a "host" file, checking firewalls and connectivity, etc.) to no avail.  Any suggestions?

The iPhone was either previously jailbroken (the DFU restore should have fixed that) or it has a hardware error. I would vote for the latter.

  • Encountered error 6  when upgrading Iphone 5s from 7.1.2 to 8.3

    I encountered error 6  when upgrading Iphone 5s from 7.1.2 to 8.3
I've tried upgrade iphone on three computers , the results are all the same.
One of the computers successfully upgrade my ipad to 8.3.
There are 2GB left on IPhone 5S before I perform the upgrade.
It should be enough for iTunes to finish the process, right?
But in the log, it says  "copier_file_error: /mnt2/mobile/Library/PreinstalledAssets/com_apple_MobileAsset_Font.cpio: No space left on device"
    why is that?
Any way for me to continue the upgrade?  it seems it's almost done.
    Thank you

    Hello there, Kenduck.
It sounds like you are trying to update your iPhone 5s to the most current version of iOS and are getting an Error 6 message. The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great information in regards to that very error message:

I am having some trouble trying to get IOS 3.1 on my first generation Ipod touch.  I have the latest Itunes, I do not have any dvd burning software like Anydvd that can interfere, and I've tried it on two different computers with no avail.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

I keep error 2324 when upgrading to version 10. Running win 7

Try disabling anti-virus also. You can also download the updates (not upgrade that is AA XI) from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows. With the downloads, you typically have to install them in order. Only reboot after the last install.

  • Error Message When Upgrading Firmware for BEFW114S

    To all,
I have a BEFW114S with a firmware 1.42.7 which I wanted to upgrade to 1.52.02  However, I got the following error message when I tried update the firmware:
Message:  Warning!  Upgrade File Pattern Error
Any ideas of what might be causing this.
    Thanks.
    Babylon5

Hi , here is the problem..... The firmware 1.52.02 is for the model no BEFW11S4 V4.0 and i believe you have BEFW11S4 V3.0...
Download the firmware 1.45.10 for BEFW11S4 V3.0 and you should be able to upgrade the firmware successfully.

  • Itunes unknown error 3194 when upgrading to latest iOS

I've been trying to upgrade my iPhone 3GS to 4.3.2, from 4.3.1 iTunes keeps reporting an unknown error 3194, when verifying the downloaded update. I don't know what is causing this.
    I have:
    - Rebooted my PC (Windows 7)
    - Rebooted iPhone
    - deleted the update and redownloaded
None of these have solved the issue. Any ideas?

    Hi pablo2001jedi,
The following link highlights the error code as being an issue with the connection to the Apple Server: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275
The link also has troubleshooting steps which you can try, but it is most likely some security software on your computer blocking the connection.
The easiest quick fix would be to update on a known working PC & Network connection, however making sure any security software is correctly configured should also resolve the problem, you can find troubleshooting for this at the following link: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3125
    Hope this helps.

  • Error message when upgrading to 7.3.2.6

I just (attempted to) upgrade to 7.3.2.6 (and after the install, it all seems OK for now) - but during the install, I got a "files in use" error message window, mentioning that Windows Explorer was running (Process Id: 432), giving me the option to Retry, Ignore or Exit.
I tried all options - I even Exited and rebooted - and re-upgraded after that, but keep getting the same error... So far iTunes seems to have upgraded and appears to be working - but could the install have missed some components now - and therefore should I expect trouble ahead?

Yes, i had the same error message after upgrading to 7.3.
I am using windows XP - i went to the Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Scrolled to iTunes & clicked on Change (not Remove), then clicked Repair. It all works fine after that.
Search this forum - i hope you find a solution.

  • Error message when upgrading to the latest itunes

i've been attempting to upgrade my old itunes to the latest one, as i have a new ipod which needs the latest progrm to run. it seems to download alright but when i click 'run' at the end of the install it gives the error message -
    invalid drive : F:/
does anyone have any ideas how to make it download? or if not is there a way to make my new ipod run on my older itunes system, thanks.

It is possible that the registry setting for one of your special folders is pointing at a drive that is not available.
Try downloading TweakUI form Microsoft. This lets you set the location of special folders:
It is one of the download here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
This Apple article about something else tells you how to use it:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302398
Check that My Documents, My Music and My Pictures are not set to drive f:.
Surpisingly My Pictures is one that is often wrong.

Its now 7:30 pm eastern time. When I tryed to upgrade Ipod was at 1:30. Still getting the same error message. I switched ports till I am blue in the face. Now I am trying to at least get 4.1 back on by restoring by ipsw files and still not working. This happends everytime I upgrade!!!!!! BTW I am on a xp machine. HELP!!!

Do you have iTunes 10.1 on your PC? You need 10.1 in order to install iOS 4.2.1 on your Touch. If you already have 10.1 then maybe temporarily disable any firewall and/or anti-virus software on your computer.

  • Error 14 when upgrading to 3.0

Last night I tried to upgrade my 3G phone to 3.0 and had some problems. The update downloaded fine, and as the software was installing it would crash with an unknown error (14) about a minute into loading the software. The phone sits with the connect to itunes logo (not even slide for emergency - it didn't load the update). When I connect it, iTunes says it recognizes a phone in recovery mode and must be restored. I tried restoring a few times with the same result, then thought maybe somehow the download was corrupted, so I deleted the 3.0 ipsw file from my HDD and let it download again - still no luck. I did look over the knowledge base article and rebooted my computer, usb cable is plugged directly into the computer, etc. I did not try it with a new user as yet.
Since I wanted a phone to use today, I found the old 2.2.1 software, downloaded that, and hit shift->restore in itunes, navigated to the file I downloaded and that restored fine, which leads me to believe creating a new user in Windows won't help me (if background processes aren't messing up loading 2.2.1, why should it mess up loading 3.0?).
I'm going to give it another shot when I get home from work today. Any ideas? Thanks

Ok. I have spent the last 8 hours researching this problem and have the absolute 110% answer to everyone's problem with this issue.
Error 13 and 14 : Are checksum problems with the firmware image that is in the update package.
The update package is a .ipsw (IPod or IPhone SoftWare). This file is actually just a .zip renamed .ipsw.
The error is caused by a failure to download a crc-free version of the file. Not really sure why there are so many crc problems with the iphone updates, but Apple does not check the integrity of the update package before wiping your current version of IPhone software and that is why all IPhones that start an update with a bad update package end up in recovery mode. These errors are NOT related to the iTunes installation, antivirus software, or firewalls.
Recommendation : use a program like "Object Fix" (Freeware) to verify the integrity of the file prior to commencing with any new updates. You will have to keep trying to download it until you get a error free file. Once you have a CRC error free file this problem will go away. (I thought TCP/IP helped get rid of CRC errors.)
I had another problem and that was...
Error 1603 and 1604 : These are USB driver connectivity problems.
Recommendation : FULLY uninstall and re-install itunes software as stated in the Apple support documentation. Be sure to reboot between each step and these problems should clear themselves up. In addition, firewalls and anti-virus software may cause these errors as well.
Finally, shame on apple for not properly documenting their software so that end users do not have to decrypt their error messages with no true support to solve the issues. These are problems that enough people have had that there should be specific documentation on these problems.
