Flex 2 SWF not loading on the web browser when Flash Player 8 is running

I got a Flex 2 application that is not loading on the web
browser when the users workstations got Macromedia Flash Player 8
installed. Please advice on what could be the issue, i got security
calls included i.e. securty.allowInsucureDomain, crossdomain.xml,
etc.
The application shows no issues on web browsers with Flash
Player 9 installed.

flex 9 is complete rewrite (almost) and its lot mor fast and
effecient) you should't want to use flash 8 if you can anyways, but
somethimes I guess there is not other way out..

Does anyone know why my course will not open in a web browser. It's a pretty standards course. It's 800 X 600 with 73 slides that are all about 10 seconds long. It does have a few videos incorporated, but I removed them and published and I still got nothing in a web browser. Any ideas?

Report Not working in the Web Browser

Hi ALL ,
Am working on a item SKU report . The report is running fine in the BIDS but once i try to view the report in the WEB Browser
tried both Mozilla and Internet Explorer no data is shows up .
The report has 2 report filter one is on the service and the other one is the item sku its a multi - parameter that contains
a list of more than 6000 different SKU . Can the filter be the reason for the report not displaying in the web browser.
If yes kindly advice me what the workaround for it .
I tried having the filter in the SQL main query but it was of no use no data it was showing after having the ssrs report filter
at least right information its showing but in the BIDS not in the main web browser.

According to the description, I understand that there are parameters (@SKU and @SKUlist) in the report, and SKUlist parameter is multi-value parameter. When selecting values of the SKU parameter, the parameter SKUlist will display corresponding values. In this
case, you should create cascading parameters, right? And you use parameters to filter the report.
Because the data of the report can be shown in the Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) environment, the issue only occurs after deploying the report to report server. Based on my research, I think it may occur because of web browser issue. I have
known you use Mozilla and Internet Explorer to view the report but there is still no data.
In Reporting Services, not all report functionality is supported by all browsers. In this scenario, I suggest you considering the aspects of the setting or third party add-ons of Internet Explorer (IE). You can refer to the steps below:
1. Click Tools -> Internet options.
2. Switch to the Security tab, click Local intranet, and then select Default level.
3. Switch to the Advanced tab, and click Restore advanced settings.
4. Temporarily disable third party add-ons. For detailed steps, please see the link:

Hi, Just put phone in the recovery mode and restore to the factory settings. It should work.

Firefox will not load to the web, even after 2nd download.

I have used firefox as a web browser because our school page works best with it. I have used firefox for over three months. This weekend firefox will not load. The screen message says unable to load web page, try again button is displayed, all to no avail.

I have XP Pro. I tried installing 3.6.15 and could not open it. I did a system restore and 3.6.14 would no longer open. I tried again installing 3.6.15 and got a message that the previous version had not uninstalled properly. Tried uninstalling.
As a precaution I used MozBackup to save my bookmarks etc. and also saved a system restore point.
I then clicked Start, My Computer, drive C, Program Files and deleted the Firefox folder.
I installed 3.6.15 and it is now working fine with all my bookmarks and addons loaded automatically.

Debugger not working in the web browser.

Hi everyone,
I am not able to open the debugger in the web browser. Its like earlier when I use to put a break point in my codes and run the browser the break point use to trigger but looks like due to some setting changes it has stopped working.
Can anyone suggest what settings have gone wrong .

Yes its working now, but if I open it in internet explorer the mouse pointer and the sand closck on it keeps flickering and no codes can be seen in the debugger and the debugger doesnt open at all in mozilla firefox. It use to work fine before. Please suggest.

Dynamic text not loading properly in web browser

Please help - I have a dynamic text field in a movieclip
inside a main movieclip - Loading works well within Flash and
GoLive but once I load the file to the web browser the dynamic text
no longer display - It loads undefined in the text box. However
when I remove the movieclip from main movieclip text display no
problem in browser.

make sure to 'embed' the font, into the textField instance.
select the instance on the Stage, look in the properties panel, and
click the 'embed' button, skipping 'all' select the next four
listings, and hit enter.

Adobe Reader DC, doesn't disable "Display PDF Document in the web browser" when option is unchecked.

The option under Accessibility>Setup Assistanct to uncheck the "Display PDF Document in the web browser" doesn't correctly disable Display PDF in browser when unchecked, it still defaults to opening in Internet Explorer even after restarting the browser. Confirmed this tested agianst with IE 8, 9, 10 and 11 with the same behavior. Moving back to Reader 11.0.10 and using this same setting works flawlessly. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

A sript in the movie is causing Flash player to run slowly....

Hello, It seems as if every time that I play a game on the MSN website i get the floowing mesage and a few minutes playing, "a script in the movie is causing Adobe Flash Player to run slowly. if it continues to run your computer may become unresponsive". My os is Windows XP and I use Firefox as my browser. In the list of my current programs I have Adobe Flash Player 11 Active X and Adobe Flash Player 12 plug-in. Is there any way for me to repair the problem? I'm new to computer's and if anyone does answer my question pleae keep that in mind. Thanks

im unsure what you mean, i have no idea about swf files, when this has happen i have had my browser open ( explorer) with several sites or even just one,can u give me more infrmation and is there a way to fix this problem, its impossible to do anything without waiting forever for the spinning wheel to stop and then freezing, which i have to restart my computer, most times, i have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, with no luck.

I used a flash gallery to embed on a site for school, and I
cant get the swf file to load all the way. If you go to the actual
file it works, but when i try to embed the file it jut says its
loading

Any idea on how to trouble shoot why my phone will not load images? I even brought it to a T-Mobile rep and they didn't know what was wrong. Any ideas on how to correct this?? PLEASE

Middle mouse button does not function for Firefox Tab browsing when cetain programs are running.

My Microsoft Comfort Mouse 3000 middle button is set in Firefox to open and close tabs. (In Control Panel, Mouse, Firefox is the only program exception and the Wheel button is set to middle-click instead of the default Instant Viewer).
When vlc media player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) is running and at some point viewed in full screen, the middle mouse button reverts in Firefox to the default Instant Viewer. When vlc is closed, tab operation once again works.
The same thing happens if MWSnap screen capture (http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/mwsnap.html) is running.

Very glad to see I am not alone. Alas....that answer did nothing on my system. I also am very very frustrated that, all of a sudden, my middle mouse button brings up a weird four pointed arrow! (see pic) I NEED it to open links in tabs for researching!!
I turned off auto scrolling in the advanced settings. Restarted FF even...and nada.

Firefox does not allow me to 'paste' url's/rapidshare links anywhere on the web browser.

I noticed this problem when I purchased a Rapidshare account. In Google i found the URL of a movie>highlight the link>copy>but the 'paste' option is blanked out (not available) when i come to paste the link in the web browser. I have tried ctrl-v and also the edit>paste but the 'paste' icon i always 'greyed' or blanked out. This problem does not occur on any other computer in the house, just on my laptop. It only occurs with rapidshare links (and similar URL's). I can not paste in the web browser nor can I paste on the rapidshare website because the paste option is not 'click-able'. I don't know what do to, please help.

Is there anything I can do in dreamweaver so my swf file always fills the whole browser screen?

I am deploying my flash swf in dreamweaver, however i have a
problem my image is not fillng the whole of my browser screen
idealy 1000 x 600 and I am getting horible white borders around my
artwork.
I have
A used the properties settings in flash and sett my both my
stages to 1000 x 600 including my preloader
which the main swf loads into
B used the publish settings to match my document setting in
percent so they align in the middle of the page
Is there anything I can do in dreamweaver so my swf file
always fills the whole browser screen?

A flash file is proportional, and a web browser viewport
isn't necessarily
proportional.
So, unless you are forcing a persons web browser to a set
size (and I'd
STRONGLY not recommend doing that...ESPECIALLY at the size
you want) then
you'll need to confine your actual SWF file to a specific
size on the page
itself.

The stage in Flash is not what tells the web browser what
size to set the
SWF on the HTML page itself. That's done in the HTML when you
'publish/export' your SWF file from flash using the HTML tab.

Well, you set the width and height to 100%, but that will
distort your SWF
file if people change the aspect ration of their browser from
that of the
SWF file.

Published a site in iweb but looks different in the web browser

Hi,
I have published a site in iWeb but it looks different when viewed in the web browser having published a few times.
The pictures have small frames around which display perfectly i niweb but do not show in browser?
The navigation menu is all showing in iweb but again not showing in the web browser?
Not sure what I am doing wrong? I have tried to publish a few times.. checked that all the tick boxes show 'display navigation menu' etc?

And there's no link for the home page. Perhaps you're hiding it.
And see if you can use a shorter, and different, Sitename. It is clear who you are. And just welcome is enough.
And empty the browser cache.
