Flexible Space not working

Flexible Space not working, with firefox v1.5 pictured here..
http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/6527/firefoxv15skin.png
You see i have a big space FF icons and google search, by adding one flexible space. I cannot seem to get this to do the same with firefox v3. Will have to add x10's or more of flexible spaces to be the same. Have tried to resize the flexible space with v3 noting to grab to resize.
Anyone know of a sollution how to do this, to be like that in the picture (url link above) ?

Actually it doesn't really matter if you'd come back, or not. It's just that you've wasted everyone else's time. Here's a couple of links, when downgrading and/or installing a different/two version/s:
* [http://ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/ Firefox FTP, all versions download].
* [http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=2249039 Installing multiple different versions of Firefox], mozillaZine.
* [[Installing a previous version of Firefox]], downgrading (not very useful).
* [[Updating Firefox]], upgrading (also not useful, but like the article above: it's got a couple of links that could be -somewhat- helpful :))

  • Dock dissapear, Exposse, Spaces not work

    Dock is dissapear, Exposse and Spaces not work, i had repaired permissions from disk utillity but all is de the same, restart and all is not working, command + tab either work, and if a try to minimizar a window nothings happend

    I am experiencing this same problem. I have been fine for a few weeks after my Leopard update, but then all of a sudden today I could not find my dock. I wasn't able to get it back at all, so I tried to shut down. It would not shut down so I had to do a hard shut down by holding in the power button. When it rebooted, the dock was still non-existent. I did some googling and learned it might be a corrupt preference. I then deleted the preferences, and immediately a dock (the original default installed) came up. It seemed ok for about 30 seconds, then it quit, and keeps flashing, reappearing, poking out. I deleted the preferences again, same result.
    I ran disk utility. It found some permissions problems and "repaired" them. Now the activity monitor shows that my dock is starting and quitting, as stated above, and I can't see it at all. It's gone.
    I am pretty upset about this, I rely on the dock heavily for my drag and drop applications in CS3.
    Any solutions to this yet?

  • PS CS6 Smartobject - Changing color space not working

    If I initially open a smartobject from ACR into PS CS6 using one color space, eg. sRGB, should it then be possible to click back into ACR and change color space to Adobe RGB ???
    This is important to me, since working most of the time in sRGB, batch editing lot's of files (for timelapse-video, hence sRGB), but sometimes it may be nessecary to go back and use Adobe RGB to make a best possible print of one of the stills.
    This is not working for me. I thought I should be able to do absolutely non-destructive editing when working with smartobjects from ACR, but this may seem to not be the case.
    Ole

    I understand now that a copy of the original RAW file is made when working with SO.
    Still, when checking what color space I am working in (in PS CS6), after changing from sRGB to aRGB, PS still tells me I am working in sRGB!!
    So what I am asking, going back from a SO in PS, into ACR, to change the color space, does not work.
    Is there a workaround for this?
    Or is it something I still do not understand here?

  • Spaces not working with Mice

    For some reason, I can no longer active Spaces with my mice. It says it's on, but for some reason when I try to assign a button my mouse doesn't respond at all. I can only active it with a manual keyboard key such as F17.
    Any ideas, why it's not working with both of my mice?

    I am having the same issue.
    I have website for my 7th Grade class. Over the weekend, I updated to iWeb'09. Today, when my students (using IE7 tried to access the site, I noticed loading pages takes much longer and the tech guy tells me that IE doesn't work with Mobile.Me.

    Are there really issues with IE and Mobile.Me servers?

  • Spaces not working, please help!

    I used to use spaces on my old Mac Pro. Now I have a new one and Spaces isn't working properly.
    Very simply I assign Finder to space 1. Then assign InDesign to space 2.
    How it used to work is I navigate to a file in Finder in space 1, double click it and it would move over to space 2 and open the file in InDesign.
    But now, although InDesign is set to space 2 it opens in space 1.
    The only way I can fix it is to open a file within InDesign (file>open rather than using Finder) then when I open another one in Finder it moves over to space 2, but this is far from ideal and not useable to do this with all programmes.
    Hope that makes some sense. I love spaces and it really speeds things up at busy times!
    Thanks,
    James.

    Open system Prefs, and turn Spaces off. Re-boot your computer and re-enable Spaces. Check to make sure that from the drop down menu, that F8 is selected as the key of choice for enabling what I call the over-view mode. If this doesn't work, then I have no explanation for you. Perhaps you should try re-installing the Spaces application that comes with your copy of Leopard. Also, if the F8 key won't bring up the over-all view, try assigning another key to that function. Perhaps it's the key itself that won't work.
    Good luck

  • Spaces not working correctly, Help!

    Hi all,
    I've just changed to a new mac (not actually new, just new to me) and I'm having problems with Spaces in Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
    I've set various apps - email, web browser etc along with Adobe Creative Suite to open in various spaces so i can easily flick between each of them but for some untold reason Spaces will not keep Adobe Indesign, Illustrstor and Photoshop in Space 1, but whatever Space i'm in rather than the one they are defined to. It does work with Chrome and Outlook however but I know is this not a problem with Adobe as it worked fine on my other Mac, which is also 10.6.8.
    I have no explanantion for this and have removed preferences.plist and that didnt work.
    Any help will be really appreciated. Thanks

    Hi, good you found a temporary solution /workaround.
    Don't know if it's useful to you, but anyway:
    I've read that OSX 10.9 will contain several improvements with spaces and dual monitor setups.
    http://9to5mac.com/2013/04/29/apple-to-update-os-x-with-new-power-user-features- more-from-ios-later-this-year/
    Wether Adobe apps will work well with this new features is another question, as Adobe and Apple are not exactly best friends anymore.
    I'm not an adobe specialist, so maybe somebody else can tune in here and provide tips?

  • 'SHIFT variable RIGHT deleting trailing space' not working

    I have a character field in a transaction that occasionally gets populated with a value that has a space at the end or at the beginning or both. This is causing the dataload to fail. I added code below to remove these spaces from the end and beginning-
    SHIFT <variable> RIGHT deleting TRAILING space.
    SHIFT <variable> LEFT deleting LEADING space.
    The SHIFT LEFT works perfectly and deletes the space at the begining of the value but SHIFT RIGHT does not delete the space at the end for some reason. I tried defining the variable as a char (16), string but nothing seems to make it work.
    Note: I cannot use CONDENSE because the value can have spaces in between that we cannot delete.
    Any ideas why shift right wouldn't work?

    Hi Maanasa,
                           First of all Shift works only with string datatype. So transfer the contents of that character field into a string datatype and do the shift operation.
    Declare a string variable of that type. Data v_str type string.
    Pass the contents of the character field into the string.
    And do the shift operation on the string and pass the value of the string back to the character field.
    Shift v_str by 1 places right.
    Please try this.
    Thanking you,
    Jerry

  • Shift Cmd 4 + Space not working

    Hi,
    I used to be able to take a screenshot of the active window by pressing Shift Cmd 4 and then space and click, but I dont know why it's not running anymore.
    Whenever I click Shift Cmd 4 and then space, the grey area covers the whole screen and when I click, it'll take screenshot of nothing. When I open the .PNG it'll be white-blank image.
    I'm using Tiger and never modified setting preference on this, so I have no idea how it happened.
    Can anyone here please help me to fix it?
    Thanks

    Madok: you can also move your mouse around to take screenshot of your dock, task bar, etc and it doesn't have to be the most front window. After you hit space bar, you can roll your mouse around other windows and just click it.
    Check out System Preferences -> Keyboard and Mouse - > Keyboard shortcuts to see other shortcuts, though they're not 100% complete (I also read little tricks from website / magazine)
    Macjack: It works!!! Thanks so much

  • Runtime.exec with spaces not working EVEN using String[]!!

    Hi everyone,
    I need to start the rmi registry from some code,and i need to pass it the classpath of two jars when initialising it. My problem is that the paths I set aren't taken when they contain a space.
    Here's the code:
    <code>
    String rmiRegistryCommandLine[] = new String[] {
    + System.getProperty("java.home")
    + "\\bin\\rmiregistry.exe\"",
    "-J-Djava.class.path=\""+System.getProperty("user.dir")+"\\MyJar.jar\"",
    "1099"};
                                            Runtime.getRuntime().exec(rmiRegistryCommandLine);
    </code>
    I know that Runtime.exec(String) tokenizes the input, which is why I'm not using it, but Runtime.exec(String[]) isn't supposed to tokenize the input. System.getProperty("user.dir") can contain a space, so I put quotes around that, but I need the -J-Djava.class.path in the same string. I tried breaking it up into two more separate strings but it didn't even run for normal non-space paths then. I am sure that if the whole -J-Dblah....upto MyJar.jar was in quotes then it would work, but I need the classpath in quotes separately as it could contain a space.
    Can anyone help me get this working?

    Ya, that's fine but the command line I want to pass is:
    d:\j2sdk1.4.0\bin\rmiregistry.exe -J-Djava.class.path=d:\my dir with spaces\MyJar.jar;d:\my more dir with spaces\MyJar2.jar 1099
    If I say
    arg[0]="d:\\j2sdk1.4.0\\bin\rmiregistry.exe";, that's finebut arg[1] is the problem
    if I say
    arg[1]="-J-Djava.class.path=d:\\my dir with spaces\MyJar.jar; d:\\my more dir with spaces\\MyJar2.jar";, then it definitely won't work on 9X machines and probably not on NT.
    if I break up arg[1] into:
    arg[1]="-J-Djava.class.path=";
    arg[2]="d:\\my dir with spaces\\MyJar.jar";
    arg[3]=";";
    arg[4]="d:\\my more dir with spaces\\MyJar2.jar";I'll need to put quotes around the two individual two class paths or else it won't work.
    I find though that if I put the classpath as follows
    d:\"my dir with spaces"\MyJar.jar then it seems to work.
    I think a regular expression function to search for any directory with spacees and then put quotes around it and reinsert it into the path would be the solution.

    ps: this problem was ever solved here (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=837637). However, it happens again now and the previous solution doesnt cut it anymore as the preference file (that I must delete) is no longer there.

    Hi Agus
    Shortcuts for taking pictures of the screen
    Use these shortcuts to take pictures of the screen in Mac OS X.
    Action Shortcut
    Take a picture of the whole screen
    ⌘-Shift-3
    Take a picture of part of the screen
    ⌘-Shift-4, then drag to select the area you want in the picture.
    To cancel, press Escape.
    Take a picture of a window, a menu, the menu bar, or the Dock.
    Press ⌘-Shift-4, then press the Space bar. Move the pointer over the area you want so that it's highlighted, then click.
    To drag to select the area instead, press the Space bar again. To cancel, press Escape.
    Screen shots are saved as files on the desktop. If you want to put the screen shot in the Clipboard, rather than create a file, hold down the Control key when you press the other keys. You can then paste the picture into a document.
    You can also take pictures of the screen using the Grab application (in the Utilities folder).
    Some applications, such as DVD Player, may not let you take pictures of the screen.
    These instructions are in Finder > Help and enter "screenshot"

  • Numbers and Spaces not working well together

    I'm having a problem with Numbers while using spaces. When I have multiple spreadsheets open between two different Spaces, Numbers jumps to the spreadsheet that was opened first when trying to enter data into the second... I hope this is clearer than mud.
    Anyway, I'm not sure why this is happening. It's VERY annoying, but I don't know if it's a Numbers issue or a Spaces issue. Suggestions?

    There is an old thread about a problem between Numbers and Spaces:

    as an end user, I am unable to say which is the wrongdoer.

  • Preview app and Spaces not working

    I use Spaces with a 2 row 3 column grid, for a total of 6 spaces. I assigned Preview to Space 4 - the lower left space. Every time I double click to open a screenshot png that resides on my desktop, Spaces moves to Space 6, while opening Preview in Space 4. This leaves me in 6 and then having to switch to 4 to view the png.
    What's up with this strange behavior? Does it have anything to do with Finder being assigned to 6?

    hi
    i too have been having a problem with Preview in Spaces since the last 2 updated.
    when i launch Preview (by double-clicking on a picture/photo), the program opens, its toolbar appears at the top of my screen, and the photo actually opens in the right Space (# 5). however, my screen remains in whatever Space i was in.
    i have to manually go to Space 5 (set for Preview) for the photo to actually show up on screen. it won't switch over automatically, as all my other programs do.
    i am clueless as to what to do about this. i already delete Preview from Spaces and reinserted it again.
    argh...
