Flickering white screen on iPod touch?

Flickering white screen appears when iPod is turned on. After a few tries I finally get
Few times I get the locked screen.
Tried reset and restart, but problem persists.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Hi my ipod touch 4th gen seems to have a white screen the flickers, not to mistaken it with the white screen of death, it seems to happen only when it become cold and not when its warmer or even hot, is there a fix to this. If your iPod is covered (insured) I would suggest taking it to Best Buy and see if there is anything they can do for you. Maybe try plugging it into iTunes and see what happens.

I have an iPod Touch 4th Generation running on iOS 6 and the App Store application recently stopped working on it. Everything else is running perfectly, it still has internet connection and everything, but nothing will load on the App Store. When you open the application it's just a white screen, no loading circle or anything, you can click on the five categories on the bottom still (Featured, Charts, Genius, Search, and Updates), but they are all just a white screen, with the exception of the "Search" option. When you go to search, everything is still white, but the gray search bar is still available and when you type in items it still auto finds matches for the keyword you're searching, but when you actually press search, nothing happens.
I heard restoring the iPod might work, and that a lot of other people are having this problem, but it's happened to numerous people and I feel as if after the restore it might just come back.

Try a reset, and if that fails, try again while in the appstore. No data is erased.
To reset the device:
Hold the power button and the home button down until the device shuts off, then power it back on and see if the problem is resolved.

Hello, yesterday my i attepted to turn on my ipod and it revealed a white screen and hasn't gone off of it since. I have tried restoring it, but it still is on the white screen. Is there anyone that this has happened to or any way way i can fix this.

I need help i recently had to replace my screen(lcd) and i did it but all my screen did was light up no apple logo just white screen i did everything replaced screen i did the home button sleep button thing restored etc. please i have a worthless ipod till you help.
