Maybe you can help me. Here is my code:
wlecome.swf is set to load FLV file called welcome.flv
Everything plays locally, but when I upload to website, the
wlecome.flv file does not play. I'm not even certain it is loading.
In the contentPath I only have welcome.flv Even when I typed in the
whole location as it resides on the server it still doesn't load.
It used to when welcome.swf only contained text.

Pandora will not play in Firefox, but it will play in Chrome and IE. In Firefox, it loads the initial Pandora page, which just says Pandora. In Chrome and IE, it then loads the player automatically. In Firefox it just sits there on the initial page that just says "Pandora," and it never loads the player. My Flash Player is updated, and I cleared all the caches... not sure what the problem is. Can anyone help?

Is your version of Firefox the latest one?

  • Facebook videos not playing in firefox. IE plays them fine, also no problem with youtube videos in firefox.

Facebook videos are not playing in firefox, it plays youtube videos fine. The fb videos start to load and after that just a black screen remains.
No such issues in IE, I've no addons installed, flash player is latest, and tried by enabling/disabling the block popups option.
    Thanks in advance.

  • A powerpoint uploaded on OneDrive will not play in Firefox

I have uploaded a powerpoint on OneDrive that I want to share with others.
When one clicks the link it brings up a message that says
"this video can't be played in this browser. Try using a different browser or downloading the video and playing it in a video app"
Yet the previous video did play. Same system to create the video, same computer, same type of video.
It is NOT practical to tell me to go make adjustments on my computer, as those contacts that I am sending it to, will not go through all the trouble to do that, nor will they download it and use a video app.
I have tried both a powerpoint show as well as a windows media video.
I have tried to down load the firefox PowerPoint plug in.
I am not committed to using OneDrive if you can suggest another way to massively distribute a PowerPoint show
of how to put it on a link on a website.
    Thanks,
    Rayda

This does not help because I have the very same type of video posted a few months ago that plays fine. Plus as I stated, the people you send it to are NOT NOT going to go to Mozilla support and see why it don't play they are simply going to ignore the video and not watch it. Kills the reason to send it.
It is a marketing PowerPoint and is going out to people who don't have a solid relationship or reason to watch it.
It simply need to come up and play and not have a dozen excuses from FireFox why it don't play. Or several steps to go through to get it to play.
The original one still does play.
    www.raydaroundy.net
Yet this new one does not play
    www.epxyes.org
    same computer
    same Powerpoint system
same way it was recorded and saved
Same way it was uploaded on OneDrive
Same version it was saved as
yet Firefox will not play it, it will not play on my computer
and not on 3 other team members computer
    Chrome will play it fine
So what did FireFox change so it is no longer compatible?
It should NOT need to be a fix that every person has to go fix something with their FireFox to get it to play. That is not going to happen.

  • Embedded swf in pdf does autoplay in IE(9), does not play in Firefox and Chrome.

I created a pdf with swf embedded. Set it to autoplay.
    Does play fine in IE9.
In Firefox and Chrome video shows up (initial picture) with a play button.
Will not play, not auto nor when I click the play button.
Firefox and Chrome I just downloaded, so the newest versions.
    Windows 7 professional.

    Found the solution for Firefox.
    In firefox, goto tools/options.
Look for Portable Document Format (PDF).
Select it and in drop down choose Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox) instead of Use Firefox (Default)
Thanks but no thanks, Acrobat team.

  • Flash movie not play on FireFox

Should I have to convert these movie using higher verson of flash? could you please help?

what's not playing at your link?
double check its publish settings so you do NOT have "paused at start" checked.

  • Mp3s not playing in Firefox, but will in Safari

This likely is not a GoLive issue, still I'm stumped, and an afternoon of searching online hasn't solved my problem. I'm hoping some wise people here can steer me in the right direction.
I have a couple of sites (designed with GoLive) that are no longer playing MP3 links in Firefox. You can save/download them, but if you click to hear them, only a few seconds play.
If you click on them in Safari tho, they play fine.
    files on - http://www.therubble.com/mp3.html - for instance.
These pages have acted fine for years, now they aren't.
    Any thoughts?

They are set up in a image map with basically < href="mp3/song1.mp3" > linking to the files.
I should test to see if the image map itself is mucking things, I guess. However the same aborted play happens if you type the link directly in the browser.
What's weird is that the pages (as is) have worked fine for years. Why they aren't working on the current server, I'm not sure. Other pages I've made with files hosted on a different server are working just fine.
The host company, I think, changed their server and some setting a long the way is not copacetic with Firefox (on Mac - haven't test PC + Firefox).
I was thinking it might be a Firefox 3 issue, but it happens with Firefox 2 as well (and again, previously it worked fine).
It was suggested that I should add a type tag to all links <  href="/mp3/song1.mp3" type="audio/x-mp3" / > and double check the MIME types settings. I'll see if that works, too.
Still, I think at this point I would rather move the sites to a different host than hand re-code a bunch of work all over again.

  • Inserted FLV not playing in published files

I am trying to insert an FLV file but keep getting the following error when trying to publish:
"The Flash video can not be loaded. The output may not be proper." When I try to run the output files the video player is blank.
    I am using Captivate 5.5.
The FLV file plays correctly in preview mode and also plays correctly when I play it independantly using a media player.
The file is located in the same folder as  the CPTX file and the output SWF and HTM outputs.
I prefer to use the insert FLV option as it provides the playback controls which aren't available from the Insert Video option. It does play correctly using the Insert Video option.
    Please help!
    Alex

I have discovered something really unexpected. I tried publishing to the EXE format which worked. If I then published in the Flash format it works! If I try to publish again it reverts to the old problem.
    Is this a bug?

  • Videos not playing in Firefox

    Hello,
I am testing the web viewer with a couple of interactive forestry publications. They work great on Chrome and Safari, but the videos do not load on Firefox (v27.0.1) on OSX 10.9. I have only tested IE10 on a surface tablet, but it works fine there too. It appears to just be FireFox. I am embedding .mp4 videos. Any tips or help with this?
Here is a link to the web viewer, the first page should be a video that auto plays: http://contentviewer.adobe.com/s/EESC%20Catalog/5958ad7747df4b7fa787358d54367a69/ITS%20in% 20NE%20Oregon/Front.html
    Thank you!
Update - In Firefox I can right-click on the video in DPS and select 'Play Video' and the video will play fine, but obviously not what I want. Within the folio webviewer the videos will not play, it only shows black.

This may be caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update.

  • Ogv video does not play in Firefox 3.6 on a server

I have successfully create an ogv video in Firefogg. The video plays on my local computer in Firefox. However, when I put the video on my university server, the video does not play any more. Here is a link to the video: http://www.iupui.edu/~streamit/huang/html5video/html5video.html
I don't know how to solve the problem. Help. Many thanks.

No problems here on Linux, that video plays for me.

  • .flv not playing in browser

    Hi Everyone-
I'm facing an enormous conundrum and I was hoping somebody here may be able to shed some light on it.
I have a flash presentation that presents .flv files to the user. I have the main menu in a .swf file, and when the user selects one of the segments to watch, it calls up another .swf to display inside with an .flv embedded in it. This is so we only have to program one little popup menu and it frames all the videos. The presentation is going to be burned to a disc so a user will be able to watch it locally without having to be connected to the internet. Initially, I would just publish a Flash projector file and be done with it, but the disc kicks up the AutoPlay program on a PC, and the client has indicated that this simply will not do; it has to run right out of the box without the user doing anything. I offered what I figured would be a benign solution; embed the .swf into an html file and have it launch in the browser upon insertion.
Here is where it gets sticky: The whole presentation works just fine ... until I try watching it in a browser on a PC. The .flv file simply will not play. At all. The file works fine if I open the containing .swf, and the menu .swf, locally or deployed to a server. I've tried re-embedding and re-publishing on a Mac and a PC, I've tried fixing the Javascript call in the HTML file, I've checked my video codecs (on2 VP6) I've put all the files on the root of the disc, I've put all the files in a sub-folder of the disc, I've checked, double-checked and double-dog-checked all of my pathnames, tested it in every browser on every computer I can get my hands on... but still no dice.
The bizarre part is that all of the similar projects we've done are not working as well, so I can't check how the previous ones were set up for any kind of comparison. I'm sorry if this a long-winded post, but after hours of research and publishing and moving, I'm not any closer to a solution. I'm really hoping someone can help me out here.
    Thanks in advance!
    -Park

The video does not have a skin on it. It just loads, plays and ends. I have an ActionScript listener attached so that when the video ends, it goes back to the main menu.
I hope it will be helpful to add in some info that I left out of the first post. I don't know how handy it will be, but here we go:
The presentation is coded in AS2. It was built before AS3 came out, and since all the projects we've done have been very similar, it's easier (and cheaper) to just swap out some files and graphics than fixing what ain't broken.
I'm using Flash CS3 on a Mac running 10.6.6, but I've also tried publishing it on a PC with Windows XP in CS3 as well.
The only place the .flv files don't work is in a web browser on a PC, regardless of whether it's embedded in an .html file or if opened by the browser. If I view the .swf files in Flash Viewer, the .flvs load right up, and they work when I view them directly in an .flv player as well.

  • Have to keep refreshing Firefox to see messages received on Facebook, and videos do not play in Firefox 3.6.9. What's the cause?

While on Facebook, I always need to refresh the page to know I received a message, comment or whatever else. Also, while on game sites such as Gamespot, Firefox does not play any videos. All this is happening in version 3.6.9. What is the cause for this?

How ram does your machine have have you tried shut the machine down pull the power plug for a few minutes and plug it back in and restart the computer.  The only thing I can think of is Low onn Ram or the speed of your connection. It might be the player you are using as well. download VLC Player itwill play everything.
