Font Issue??? Odd font shows on occasion. Included image.

Hello all
I know this is probably a simple issue but I'm confused about this strange font showing up at various times. (On Program Intro screens, various web pages etc.)
http://picasaweb.google.com/mikexpix/MyScreen
It's probably a simple fix but it has me confused.
The font is an after market font called Linkin.
Sorry about the poorly worded question, I'm just hoping to resolve this issue.
Thank you all in advance
Mike

The font is an after market font called Linkin.
Get rid of it. Some fonts are made in a way that makes them incompatible with OS X, because it confuses them with common standard fonts like Helvetica and Times.

I am having font issues with font book. It validates the font, yet it is not availabe in my software programs (Adobe  or Microsoft). What can I do to use these fonts?
I actually created these fonts with fontagrapher in 1998 and have been using them regularly ever since and now they are not available in InDesign. I really need to use them.

I found a page on Adobe, Troubleshoot fonts | Mac OS X
On PostScript type 1 fonts you need to copy/move the fonts to the correct font folder because Font Book doesn't copy them into the folder. Select the fonts double-click the fonts and Find in the font Book app and validate.
The correct font folder depends how you are set up. I am by myself so my font folder was MyHarddrive/Library/Fonts. I was using Suitcas fusion and the fonts are located in a different folder.
Most of the fonts have worked. Go to
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-fonts-mac-os-x.html
    This should help. Good Luck.

  • Strange font issue. Fonts other than my default fonts set in preferences are being used. How can this be fixed?

Fonts that should be showing up as Helvetica are showing up as Wubble. In my preferences/content I have my Proportional: Serif; Serif: Times; Sans-Serif: Helvetica; and Monospace: Courier. Everything was fine until I upgraded to 6.

You can do a check for corrupted fonts and other font issues:

  • A crazy font issue: Helsinki font

What is Helsinki font and where is it? Many web pages, help pages etc are showing up with garbage text. Copying and pasting into Textedit reveals the font as Helsinki. But that font cannot be found anywhere on the system??
I must have deactivated a necessary font, but I cannot find out what it is.
    DUal 2.0 Ghz G5   Mac OS X (10.4)
PS I was sure I already posted this topic, but just cannot find it. Oh well -- maybe it was somewhere else.

If he can physically locate it, we could at least help him troubleshoot it.
That might be hard to do. Especially with cheap PC TrueType fonts. It's typical for programs like greeting card apps to dump a ton of fonts on your system that give you no clue what the font name is. That is, the internal name (which you see in your font lists) isn't the name the font itself is given. They're given stupid generic names like TTFONT343.TTF. Oh yeah, I know which font that is. :-P It's no better on the Mac side with these types of programs. They usually come with all of the fonts (sometimes hundreds) all dumped into one TrueType suitcase. So all you see is the one suitcase font which may be named something like "Greeting and banner fonts deluxe". But you of course can't see the names of all the TrueType fonts stuffed inside.

  • Font issue (Thonburi font for Thai language)

    Dear Apple and friends,
I'm using Final Cut Pro X (latest update as of 19/11/2014) on latest os x 10.10.1
While I was on OS X 10.9, I use the Thonburi (Font come with the system) for insert a Thai subtitle in the video without any problem.
But today I found out that I have some problem with Thai character on Thonburi font
I also attached the screenshot for your reference.
Please help me, I do need to use this font to keep consistent on the brand.
Thanks and looking forward to your help,
    Best,
    Note Pawares (Thailand)

What title is it? You can try a different title and see if the problem remains.
Also, does the problem always occurs in the first line of a title, or only if there is more than one line, or... you should provide feedback to Apple, and be as specific as possible. (Final Cut Pro->Provide Final Cut Pro Feedback...)
It could be a problem with the font, or with how FCP X deals with it. There used to be similar problems with other fonts for Asian languages some time ago, but this the first time I hear of one for the current version.

  • Manana font issue

I have a user with a manana font issue - this font works in other applications, such as photoshop, word, etc. - but in InDesign it shows almost as wingdings...replaces with other letters and strange spacing, etc.  I've tried removing the font and reinstalling...  also tried clearing all the cache, etc. - also even uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe Suite.  Issue hangs on.  Any other ideas?
    She's running Windows 7 Professional 32 bit.
    Adobe Suite CS5 Version 7.
    Thanks for any help.

My Mac flat out refuses to install the font ("2 minor problems were found. Proceed with caution", "1 serious error was found. Do not use this font."). Running it through a font checker tells me
Table Directory: Directory Entry checksum error
This error indicates a structural problem with the font.
OS/2: The version number is invalid
Bad version number in OS/2 table (must be >0, and must be >1 for OT-CFF fonts).
name: Same ID, not the same string length
There are differences between a Mac name string and the corresponding Windows string.
And the Mac shows its name as "MaÒana" ... Really, this is a shoddy rip-off of a commercial font. I guess you got exactly what you paid for.

  • Odd font issue with Safari, iWeb

Ok, so I've been having this odd font issue with Safari for quite a while now, and I haven't been able to fix it. Some text on several different websites come up in a different font than the default font for Safari. I've tried changing the default font to something else, changing the text encoding and nothing. This has been happening with several releases of Safari.
Now, last night I discovered the same thing is happening with iWeb. Some of the text fields come up with the same font as the one in Safari! I don't even know which font it is. So somehow these are linked.
I'm at work right now, but I can get a screen shot of the font once I get home.
Any ideas on how to remedy this?

Hi Tom, thanks for the response. I tried searching for those two fonts in my font book and they weren't in there. See below for screen shots of the odd text I'm getting:
    iWeb
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
    Safari
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
If anyone can help resolve I'd greatly appreciate it. As much as I like Safari, this odd font makes me close Safari after a few mins of browsing =\

  • ICal Print List Hang / Font Issue / Sync Problems...

Okay, here's a couple issues all wrapped up into one thread/post - reason is cause I suspect they may all be tied together somehow, but am not sure.
    Sync Problems...
Regarding the Syncing problems, you can find an ongoing thread about @ http://forums.markspace.com/viewtopic.php?t=1632
In short, some of us are having issues with events syncing to our Palm to the wrong timezone, causing them to be an hour off (usually within the new & old DST date change). Yes, all the usual fixes have been tried - pls read the thread noting "adairnet" and ymatto" postings.
Also, in addition to this time issue, I have iCal events that I've deleted in iCal still show up on the Palm after one-way syncing!
    Print List Hang...
Every week I print a "list" of events from a certain calendar. The past couple weeks I noticed some lines in the notes field printing on top of each other. Twas odd indeed, but I hadn't had the time to look into the reason. Then this week I was going thru my usual printing proceedure and now iCal locks up, hangs up, crashes, forcing me to force-quit the program. It's usually after I extend the dates beyond 2 or 3 days, but I've not been able to find a consistency. I've redone events thinking they were corrupt with no success.
    Font Problems...
After the Print List issue above, I opened my Console program to see if it was reporting anything. At first it indicated that it could not find Helvetica Neue and would substitute it for Helvetica. This put me in touch with some font corruption - so I got rid of those bad fonts and activated Helvetica Neue which got rid of that message. But made me wonder if there are more font problems causing the print hanging & syncing problems. I have FontAgent Pro and do have some font issues that I'm trying to work out.
But the Console is displaying another string of messages every time the Print List proceedure hangs up which I cannot figure out...
2007-04-24 16:24:54.151 iCal[28975] NSATSGlyphStorage inconsistency. Cannot find run storage for character range {138 67} for CTRun 0xDBE87D0. Ignoring the run...

So, all of this is causing me to wonder if the iCal or SyncServices database is corrupt. Is there a way to dig into the iCal db and check for corruption &/or fix it?
Or does anybody have any further suggestions on any of these issues?
    thanx.jason.

    RedKamel,
The SyncServices folder should be avoided like "a swarm of bees". This article discusses some of the issues that can arise when the SyncServices folder is deleted or modified:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301920
Data loss and Data corruption can result from deleting or modifying the SyncServices folder, and that data loss or corruption can be propogated to devices, .Mac, and other applications that sync with SyncServices.
If you have isolated an issue with the other steps in your post, I would recomend speaking with AppleCare before removing that folder.
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.

  • PDF and OTF (Postscript) font issue (is there a PDF validation tool?)

    Greetings all,
I am experiencing a problem uploading any documents, which include embedded OTF (Postscript) fonts, to a Cloud based collaboration tool called Crocodoc. The problem/failure appears to occur during the document conversion from PDF to HTML5. It is important to note that this problem is not specific to Crocodoc because I have tested others (i.e. Zoho).
The problem is specifically with Madcap Flare and its recent support for OTF fonts. This is how I arrived at this conclusion:
    - Changing the embedded font to TTF only, the published PDF uploads to Crocodoc without incident.
    - It is not the OTF font. I have also tested this particular OTF font with other publication tools, including Microsoft Word and Adobe Framemaker; there were no issues.
    Other facts:
    - PDF files appear to function normally. It is only when I upload to Crocodoc-like apps when the problem manifests itself.
I subscribe to the Creative Cloud but Adobe Acrobat doesn't seem to have any validation functionality.
But here are some other tests that I have done:
    - Opened the malfunctioning PDF into Acrobat (no apparent issues)
      > Saved as optimized with all discard options turned on plus I ran the sanitize option. The new saved PDF still failed to upload.
      > Removed ALL text and saved a blank page. Still failed to upload to Crocodoc
      > As a verification, I created a PDF page (from clipboard) with Acrobat and saved that (one line of font using OTF font) - This successfully uploaded to Crocodoc.
      > VERY INTERESTING...using Acrobat to CONVERT the problem PDF to eps and then eps back to PDF - This PDF uploaded successfully to Crocodoc.
BUT there is something 'wrong' with Adobe Acrobat's conversion because it only converts the first page back into a PDF. WHAT?
Conclusion, as long as the PDF originated in Flare, it will fail to upload to Crocodoc. However, converting the document to .eps and then back to a PDF seems to have stripped away the 'bad' stuff.
What I am trying to learn is what exactly is causing the upload and conversion error?
Is there a PDF validation tool and might identify what is causing this conversion problem?
Sorry for the long post. Hopefully someone had the patience to read this and has an idea.
    Thank you

    Hello TSN,
    Test Screen Name wrote:
Picking just one point: PDF -> EPS -> PDF. This could not possibly do more than one page, because EPS is absolutely by definition a single page format. Therefore you must choose a page when exporting PDF to EPS.
    Thanks for your response.
I was thinking Microsoft... which has allowed multi-page eps files for years. But you're correct, this is normally an unsupported .eps format.
I solved the problem over the weekend by doing the following:
    1) I removed the suspect OTF font family but despite doing so, the folder still had two 'corrupted' but unused copies of an italic font. They refused to remove so I had to boot into Win7 SAFE mode to remove.
    2) After complete removal of the OTF font family. I reinstalled the OTF font *BUT* only from a different repository (oddly, this other OTF font set is slightly larger per font).
    3) Once installed, I tested with Flare, published and uploaded to Crocodoc SUCCESSFULLY. Yeah!
I don't have anymore time to test but the questions remain, such as, was it one or more of the following issues:
    a) Flare has a problem handling some OTF fonts or cannot error correct (the way other programs do) for marginal fonts or font errors?
    b) Was it the two corrupted fonts in the Windows/fonts folder?
    c) Was it the slightly different OTF fonts that I am no longer using?
    Take care

  • Firefox font issues

    System: eMac G3 running 10.3.9
Firefox: current (2.0.0.14), but affected prior versions also
    Classic installed? yes
    User-specific? yes
User has unique language preferences as international options? Yes. All languages, however, require an essentially Latin characterset. (Not Central European, Cyrillic, Chinese etc.) Same settings cause Firefox no issues on a machine running Tiger.
Persists on restart, after verifying/repairing disk, after repairing permissions etc.
Have tried trashing ~/Caches/Firefox and ~/Application Support/Firefox. Have also tried doing this, switching language order (so an English is top) in System Preferences and restarting Firefox with no effect.
Have tried trashing /Library/Caches/com.apple.ATS/uid.*, ~/Caches/Firefox, ~/Application Support/Firefox and logging out and back in.
Symptoms: fonts in location bar, dialog boxes etc. are small, wobbly and generally peculiar-looking as if they have been written in a cramped, wobbly hand. Errors in console.log are roughly as follows (sorry, I'm having to do this from memory):
    ... cannot map file /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/plugins/Default Plugin.plugin ...
    ... cannot map file /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/plugins/JavaEmbeddingPlugin.bundle ...
    ... cannot map file /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/plugins/MRJPlugin.plugin ...
three lines of errors specifically about the MRJPlugin
    ... cannot map file /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/QuickTime Plugin.plugin ...
and similar lines for all entries in this directory (QT given as example)
Fonts in actual web pages appear OK.
Firefox -> Preferences -> Content shows nothing for Default Font. Under the advanced options, I have:
    Fonts for: Western
    proportional: serif
    serif: <blank>
    non-serif: <blank>
    monospace: <blank>
Allow pages to choose own fonts is checked.
    Default encoding: Western (ISO-something-I-forget-but-looked-normal)
Attempting to change a font yields an oddly restrictive list of options. For example, I might get "Times CY" or "Times CE" but not Times. All fonts seem to be non-English/non-Latin options.
No non-default fonts are installed at either user or system level other than any installed with applications such as Adobe Reader, AppleWorks etc. ~/Library/Fonts/ is empty.
    Any suggestions would be welcome.

Hmm... Yes. I'll try that next time I'm on the machine in question. I'm pretty sure it is profile specific so would have thought a clean profile would solve issues that would show up here, but definitely worth checking.
Might be worth asking or searching at Mozilla's Firefox support forum-
    http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=38
That was to be my next port of call. I posted here first because it seems to be specific to a particular Mac/version of the OS and to be specific to a user account but not a profile. Mainly, though, I posted here first because I'm already registered here and hate the proliferation of accounts I seem to need online these days! (I know I can post on the Mozilla forums anonymously but I'm fussy and like to know if anybody answers without having to keep checking. There's just no pleasing some of us...)

  • Fonts issue on 10g Reports (Linux)

A while back I posted some questions about installing fonts on Linux RHEL 5.
Currently, I'm in process of upgrading Client/Server Forms/Reports from 6i on a Windows platforms to 10g forms/reports on a Linux RHEL5 platform. No database is installed on the server since we are using the TNSNames in the Network Admin to connect to the database.
I have been able to convert all forms and all reports to 10g. I had an issue with the Arial, Arial Narrow, and Courier New fonts not displaying in output when I generated a PDF file via the screen using the WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT command. The fonts were translating. I was able to use Metalink Note 261879.1 and run the scripts to generate the AFM files and copy the TTF fonts to the appropriate directories. When I run the reports in 10g on Linux, those 3 fonts display just fine.
However, I have 3 other fonts (Monotype Sorts, Arial Unicode MS, and one of Barcode fonts) that I need to get working. I've worked with Oracle Support and I'll be honest, the steps they are telling me either aren't very clear or just flat out aren't right.
I've tried on Windows to use the ttf2pt1 program to generate the AFM files and copied those up to guicommon/tk/admin/AFM directory. I've copied the TTF file up to the associated directory. I've modified the uifont.ali directory to include the font, to no success.
Has anyone tried to move a Windows font up to Linux (Unix) and got it to work successfully? If so, could you provide me some steps? I've really been trying to get this to work and would do anything at this point to get it to work. I've got about 5 reports that use these 3 fonts and if I get them working, I'm done.
Please provide good detail, if possible. Oracle Support has just confused me more by providing notes to read and little tidbits here and there but haven't given me something that works in a straightforward manner.

    # Oracle Report PDF sections
    # Three new sections have been added:
    # [ PDF ]         - Used for font aliasing and Multibyte language support
    # [ PDF:Embed ]   - Used for Type 1 font embedding
    # [ PDF:Subset ]  - Used for True Type Font subsetting
    # NOTES ON PRECEDENCE OF PDF SECTIONS:
    # If you have entries for a same font in many PDF sections, then Font
    # Aliasing entry will take precedence over Font Subsetting entry. Entries
    # in Font Subsetting will take precedence over the entries in Font Embedding
    # section.
    # Generic entries for a font must follow more specific entries for the same
    # font.  For instance, if you want to subset helvetica Plain, helvetica Bold,
    # helvetica Italic and helvetica Bold-Italic fonts, your entries must be:
    # [ PDF:Subset ]
    # helvetica..Italic.Bold.. = "Arialbi.ttf"
    # helvetica...Bold..       = "Arialb.ttf"
    # helvetica..Italic...     = "Ariali.ttf"
    # helvetica.....           = "Arial.ttf"
    # If helvetica..... entry appears in the top of the list, all the styles of
    # helvetica font in the layout will be subset as helvetica Plain font.
    [ PDF ]
    # This example shows how to rename helvetica font to Courier font
    # helvetica = Courier
    # You can Alias specific styles of font as below
    # helvetica.12..Bold.. = Courier.14....
    # "Lucida Bright".12..Bold = "New Century Schoolbook"
    # Support for Far Eastern Languages:
    # PDF section can be additionally used to enable Multibyte language support
    # built into Reports.  To use this feature with Adobe (r) Acrobat (c), you
    # need to install the Asian font pack available online at the Adobe web site.
    # .....SJIS = "HeiseiKakuGo-W5-Acro"
    # A Japanese report run with Shift-JIS character set is replaced to
    # HeiseiKakuGo-W5-Acro CID font.
    [ PDF:Embed ]
    # This example shows how to embed Type 1 helvetica font into the PDF file:
    # helvetica = "helvetica.afm helvetica.pfa"
    # You need to specify the .afm file before the .pfa file.
    # The font files must exist in one of the folders specified in REPORTS_PATH.
    [ PDF:Subset ]
    # This example shows how to subset Arial True Type font into the PDF file:
    # helvetica = "Arial.ttf"
    # The True Type font files must exist in any one of the folders specified in
    # REPORTS_PATH.
    # Subsetting TrueType Collection fonts:
    # Typically, a TTC font contains several fonts in one file. For example,
    # the TTC file, msgothic.ttc consists of three fonts in the order -
    # MS Gothic, MS PGothic and MS UI Gothic. To subset MS PGothic, the
    # entry in the PDF:Subset section of uifont.ali would be:
    # "MS PGothic" = "msgothic.ttc,1"
#MJJ# - Removed old subset mappings.

  • Dr. Damien's Development - The Xylophone Project X - Font Issues and Front Panel Layout

The Show Raw Data button was made active in this installment. Doing this in a robust fashion was more involved than one might think, due to font and platform issues (remember I want to port this to a Windows Mobile device eventually). The following changes were made.
The A frequency indicator was made active. This was an oversight from the last update.
A front panel object, XylophoneFP.lvclass, was created to hold the front panel references and methods.
The front panel object was used to implement the Show Raw Data button.
The front panel object was used to compensate for font issues.
When testing this application on Windows Vista, I noticed that the font differences between Vista and XP were annoying enough that I wanted to fix them. This will also lay the groundwork for any layout issues when porting to Windows Mobile. Usually, I create a cluster containing all my front panel references, but this time I put them into an object. Besides the usual object boilerplate, there are two methods, one to rearrange the front panel and one to show/hide the data graphs.
Once the controls and indicators are properly arranged, showing and hiding the data graphs is simple. VI server methods are used to find the edges of the outer controls, some whitespace is added, then the front panel size is reset. Arranging the controls in the first place is much more complex. Dialog controls are used, and these controls change size based on the default font size. Font sizes can change due to user preference or when using the application in a different operating system than it was developed in. Button sizes can also change due to localization.
This problem is difficult to solve cleanly, and the VI which does this, XylFP.lvlib:XylophoneFP.lvclass:ArrangeControls.vi, shows the problem. It relies on the actual sizes of the controls/indicators to rearrange the front panel in a hopefully pleasing fashion. Even though this is a relatively simple UI, the VI is fairly complex. It uses VI server calls to determine the current sizes of controls and then rearrange them. If you choose to do something similar, consider the following hints:
The Bounds property of all controls is not writable. To change the size of controls, you need to find the property or properties which change the size. There may be more than one (which is why Bounds is not writable). For example, to change the size of a boolean, use the Button Size property.
In many cases, the property you use to change the size of the control will not be the same value as the Bounds property. Using the boolean again, the Bounds of a 3D LED include the 3D effect around the LED, but the Button Size only includes the LED itself. Comparing the Bounds property to the result of a query to the property you will be setting will give you the necessary offset to convert between the two.
Make sure you label your wires if you attempt to do things like this. Long wires are very common in this type of programming. It is difficult enough to keep track of things without the added aggravation of having the trace wires back to their source to identify them.
A few judiciously placed type converters can eliminate many type conversion dots. This is not usually a real problem in this context, but you should get into the habit of efficient programming.
I will be hiking through the mountains of New Mexico with the Boy Scouts for the next couple of weeks, so do not be dismayed if I do not reply to comments very quickly. However, comments and suggestions are still welcome and encouraged. I will reply when I return.

It is simpler but you give up any multi CPU performance.  That LV is inherently parallel is one (the only) real advantage over a text based development system.  I can write good structured text that is almost as visually easy to parse as LV.  With modern syntax coloring engines, the difference in icons vs. structured text is not that great.
But the challenge I give the traditional text coders is to keep track of many mulitple threads.  This is why dataflow is a powerful concept.  Yes it does lead to asynchronous execution but if you impose synchronicity on your code you are working against LV.  I get most first time programs where everything is in a sequence structure.  "Just to be safe".
Of course this is much better but  my first design goal is that any application should take advantage of a much hardware as possible, degrade gracefully on slower hardware and play nice with other running applications.  This simpler structure severely handicaps that first goal.
In this case it is simple enough to "get away" with it since as you point out that there should not be anything that takes significant CPU time.   But that may not be true on the PDA?
If you are going to run it on the PDA will we be discussing techniques to seamlessly use both NIDAQmx Base and NIDAQmx in the same system?  That is a real challenge.  I look forward to more of this!
    Cheers!

  • Font issue with Safari

I've read of others having font issues with Safari 5.1 and Lion, but I still have Snow Leopard and am having an issue with some fonts showing as a block of As. This occurred when I set up Suitcase Fusion 3, but I did not touch any system fonts. I was able to solve part of the issue with activating Arial in the font manager, but some areas still do not reveal font, most notably, areas marked for username/password on forms. Any ideas?  Btw, I do not seem to have a problem in Chrome or Firefox.

Thanks, Carolyn. I use a third party font manager but disabling it is not an answer for me. I put some fonts back into the user folder (never touched the fonts in the system library) and resolved SOME of the "A" issues, but not all. I have no problem in Chrome or Firefox. I've tried multiple solutions in the past couple days, including this fix for sandboxing conflict http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-20087102-263/webkit-sandboxing-conflict-cau ses-safari-block-a-font-problem/ but then I got permission errors when I tried to change the file. I'm not even running Lion and I'm having this issue.

  • Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Browser Font Issue

Hi, i'm running lion 10.7.4 on my imac (mid 2011, i7) I have safari, google chrome, and firefox available, but I get the same odd fonts showing up on ebay for example. The font looks like times in some of the menus and sign in area, yet elswhere on the page the fonts look fine.
I think it may be a system font glitch but can't seem to find what is causing it.
I don't have the same problem on my old G5 so can someone help?
    Many thanks in advance.

Hi Bee, thanks for the help...
i did load up suitcase and noticed a few fonts that shouldn't have been in the library, so i cleared these out so that I'm back to the base fonts supplied, that's a total of 188 in the library and 37 in the system as far as the apple site shows. Please see attached image with red rings around the fonts issue areas.

  • Font issue in browsers with Yosemite

I'm having multiple issues with Yosemite, one of them being the odd font showing up on my browsers. I've taken a screen shot for you below. this text I'm typing now is supposed to be Arial, not sure if it can be seen by all viewers as the same odd font as in the screen shot below.

    Hi,
as you I don't even know where to start, as it is (as you
have noticed) quite a complex thing. If you are still interssted in
the subject, drop me a line, and I try to answer some of your
    questions.

  • Tseng - Font Issues need your help

Tseng, I am calling upon your knowledge of font issues. I read some previous threads regarding font issues relating to a validation error of the follow:
    'FOND' Font Association usability
I am attempting to install the Frutiger font which is, according to OS X ver. 10.5.6, a Post Script Type 1 Outline font.
I understand that Leopard has some issues dealing with bitmap-only type fonts, however if this is recognized as a Post Script Type 1 Outline font then where lies the issue?
Also, even stranger, is that despite the errors from validating the font in fontbook, the font works on almost every computer in my office except one... how strange is that. PS. I also did all software updates just to be sure.
If you have any suggestions or information I would be ever so thankful!

    Yes they are all present.
I compared my computer (where the font works) to the computer that the font doesn't work and the files are the exact same.
    It is an odd situation.
Even on my computer where the fonts work, if I go into Font Book and validate the font it still shows errors, but it works.
