Hi,
for the sake of completeness:
there is a ABAP-command <b>print-control</b>
You can find a good ABAP-example at
http://www.sap-img.com/ab027.htm.
But:
- this has only a effect when you print the list
- there are warnings (support / release) when you use them, so please see the comments in the link.

  • Font Book: Installed postscript Fonts don't always appear in Font Book list

    Greetings,
    I was helping a user the other day with Font Book. I was showing him how to add/enable fonts into Font Book when I noticed a problem I had never seen before. Before I get started, the fonts in question are from the Adobe 7 Font Folio library. There were newly installed by me from the original disk, and known not to be corrupt. I also know that that Postscript fonts are an accepted font format in Tiger.
    That said, when adding.installing a particular font using Font Book, it would not "Appear" in the Font Book" list of fonts. I would attemp to, again add/enable the font (by selecting it from the Adobe Library) and still it would not appear in the Font Book list with the other installed fonts. This would happen to any font that I tried to install. Once this happenend to a specific font, I could no longer get that specific font to install.
    I removed the Font Book .plist - no luck. I also rebooted - no luck.
    Obviously, no application was able to recognize any of the fonts that would not install.
    It was as if Font Book would not recognize any font that I was trying to add/enable.
    Could this be a corrupted cache issue, or .plist problem? Could this be a permissions related issue? What did work finally was to add the font to the "Computer" set, where it would be avaialbe to all users. But I could not get the font to install into the "User" set. Weird.
    Also, What is the significance of these four fonts:
    HelveLTMM
    Helvetica LT MM
    Times LT MM
    TimesLTMM
    These fonts above are part of the default package that is loaded into the /System/Library/Fonts
    Is it safe to replace these with Postscript version from my Adobe 7 Font Folio collection?
    I have read most of the font related tutorials and articals.
    thanks,

    G5   Mac OS X (10.3.6)

    where did
    you get the information about pre-92 Adobe postscript
    fonts being uncompatible?
    Oh, sure, it's hard enough for me to remember things these days and now you want me to remember where I learned them from?? geez... [gone lookin' ... okay, back] It was, as I vaguely recalled, on the Adobe site, re troubleshooting in OS X, in a list of "do this to solve your problems": "Make sure that you are using the latest version of the font... If the font's creation date is prior to 1992, a new version of the font may be available." The only Type 1's that have given me any problems were, all three of them, older than 92, and in troubleshooting something here a few weeks ago, that turned out to be a problem for someone else, too.
    But all of the Tiger font
    research that I have done suggests that Adobe
    Postscript fonts were acceptable.
    Yes, well... Type 1's are supported. It seems that some older ones are a little funky (not in a design sense....)
    Ideally, what fonts can be removed from Tiger from
    the System/Libray/Fonts folder? I know that all four
    of the MM's (Helvetica LTand Times LT), Lucida
    Grande, Geneva, Keyboard, Last Resort, and Monoco
    must stay, but what about the others?
    You also need a real Helvetica - that is, not the MM version. You can replace the system's Helvetica with one of your own, but there must be an available Helvetica around at all times.
    Then there's AquaKana (two of them, regular and bold). They're not on Apple's official "do not remove" list, but there's some anecdotal evidence of its being needed. It's "real" name begins with a period, so it doesn't appear in any menu, so it's not going to hurt anything if you leave it there.
    In stripping down nonessential fonts, lots of people just remove everything from the Library/Fonts folder, but I think it's good to leave the basic most common web fonts available: Comic Sans, Georgia, Trebuchet, Verdana, Times New Roman. This keeps web pages looking the way they're supposed to - and they shouldn't conflict with anything that's being really designed!
    This is assuming that the fonts
    being used are not damaged and "Pass" Font Book's
    validation test.
    The assumption within that assumption is false: Font Book's validation is pretty iffy. I think the only reason we don't see it as REALLY iffy is because fonts, on the whole, are pretty solid in OS X (your current experience to the contrary). I've installed fonts (properly) that flew through the automatic-on-install validation but failed when I used the Validate Font command afterwards. I've had fonts that pass both the on-install and specific after-install validation but get a Bad Font warning dialog when being re-enabled after a disabling. (And I didn't use the font in between... ) Who knew Font Book did any validating when you re-enable fonts??
    This is what I would do:
    (Not necessarily in this order)
    1. Trash Font Book .plist
    2. Trash all Font Cache's from all three libraries
    (System, Computer, and User folders)
    3. Reboot
    4. Delete problem fonts from User and Computer
    Libraries and reinstall using Font Book.
    Please tell me if this strategy is ill-advised, and
    what the better course of action might be.
    None of it is ill-advised. I would add starting up in Safe Mode to see if the problems exist there as part of the narrow-down-the-problem stage. Same goes for setting up a separate user account and see how things are behaving there. (Yikes... did you try that yet??)
    In addition, there are some special things to do when it's Office apps having the problem, or something going on with Adobe's application fonts folder...
    Also, Zaph Dingbats is acting up as well. I removed
    the .dfont version that was in the system folder, and
    replaced it with the Adobe Font Folio Postscript
    version (ITC Zaph Dingbats) that I loaded into Font
    Book User/Library/Fonts folder. Now that I think
    about it, that specific font has been around for
    along time, and may very well be pre-1992. Hmmm...
    Can you further define "acting up" ? In addition to the ZD dfont from the system, I've been using/testing ITC ZD from Adobe with no problems. It's version 2.0 with copyright dates of 1985 through 1987.
    A lot to respond to. My apologies.
    No problem. You caught me on a night when I'm too tired for real work but not so far gone I can't do this (tho I'm soon on my way, bleary-eyed, to get a fix of Sudoku puzzles).

  • Photoshop fonts not listed in flash

    Hey, I've designed the graphical interface for a website in
    photoshop and now i'm trying to create animated buttons in flash.
    trouble is, the font i have used to design the site in PS is not
    listed in the flash font list. This is the case for lots of
    different fonts in PS. The original font was TTF so i converted it
    to OT1 and i've dropped a copy into all the adobe font folders I
    can find but its still not picking it up. Does flash load its fonts
    from a specific folder and if so, does anyone know which? I cant
    figure out why both TTF and OT1 versions of this font are listed in
    one CS3 app and aren't listed in the other. I've also tried image
    drag and drop from PS to flash but it just imports the text as a
    gray box. i'm really stuck here, if anyone has any advice i'd be
    really grateful. thanks.

    In my own experience, Flash takes it fonts from your system
    fonts. So you probably need to install the fonts in your system
    (Windows) as opposed to installing them in specific applications.
    I'm uncertain on this one, so if someone else has better
    information to offer, please do.

  • How to search for a font not listed in the Fonts window

    I'm unable to create a PDF of an older document built by someone who doesn't work here anymore (so I can't ask how they built it). The PDF starts to generate but it takes longer than usual then right before the last page, it stops and I get a log telling me that it can't generate the PDF because of a problem with a Frutiger-Roman font. We don't use that font so I'm not sure where it would be. Also, when I look in the Fonts pod window, it's not listed.
    Is there a way to search a document to find a font that isn't listed in the Fonts pod window?
    Thanks

    Sounds like it's coming in with an import, which is probably an image, but could also be a text inset.
    I've seen this happen with DWG, DXF, EPS and EPSI imports. I'd expect it to be possible with PDF imports, as well as any formatted text inset.
    It could even be an empty string. You can't find any text, but the declaration got triggered anyway.
    Most image formats that can include fonts can be opened in Adobe Illustrator. You can then Select > Object > Text Objects and see what's there (or not). If AI throws "some objects have been outlined", you've located the offending file for sure.

  • How to control FONT in list items?

    What can I do in ApEx to control the font of the items in a list?
    I have read other postings here on controlling font size on various items,
    and I have tried every way I can think of to code a #TEXT# statement in various places on the DHTML Tree template.
    I have not been able to change the font size for a DHTML Tree list item.
    I have coded the: &lt style type="text/css" &gt td.t12header (font-family:"Times New Roman";font-size:20px;) &lt/style&gt in the Page Definition / Edit Attributes / HTML Header section, and this DOES alter the font characteristics for the DHTML Tree list heading.
    I see in the generated page source that there are two other CSS labels, "t12body" and "dhtmlTree" on the &lttr that includes the text for the list item, but adding a: td.t12body... or td.dhtmlTree... entry in the &ltStyle ... block does not alter the font of the list item name. I have tried a few other things too, but no luck.
    What entries, and where, can I add that will allow me to alter the font size of a list item?

    Got it.
    The following style block, placed in the HTML Header section in the Page Edit page for the page that has the LIST on it, will control the features of the LIST (a dhtml Tree list in this case):
    (LT)style type="text/css">
    td.t12Header {font-family:"Times New Roman";
                  font-size:50px;
                  font-style:italic;
                  color:blue}
    .dhtmlTree a {font-size:20px;
    color:green}
    (LT)/style>
    The td.t12Header entry controls the characteristics of the LIST header;
    The .dhtmlTree a entry controls the characteristics of the LIST elements.

    There is no option to change the font or font size in classic list display.

  • Fonts in lists

    Hi,
    In a "harvard" list (or any list) I need to change the font of the first word of a paragraph. But I don't want to change the font or size of the numbers in the list. The behavior now is that the numbers follows the font parameters applied to the first word.
    I tested this in ms office, and there it kept the number font, while letting me change the first word font...
    the only workaround I have found is to insert a space as the first letter in the paragraph, and set this space to have -40% of letter spacing so it is almost invisible.
    but it's not a real solution and quite annoying to do...
    any suggestions?
    sincerely
    joakim

  • Font getToolkit list

    A friend loaned me the ancient Teach Yourself Java in 21 days from Sams Publishing.
    In "Day 9", there is this vague reference to getToolkit().
    "The fonts you have available to you in your applets depend on which fonts are installed on the system where the applet is running. If you pick a font for your applet and that font isn't available on the current system, Java will substitute a default font (usually Courier). You can get an array of the names of the current fonts available in the system using this bit of code: String[] fontslist = this.getToolkit().getFontList();"
    I searched the API and it is confusing where it is located. The book says it is in java.awt.Font, the API says its in java.awt.Window.. another place in API says it is in java.awt.Toolkit. So I dont know where the hell it is.
    Whatever the case, I cant figure out how to get it to work. Here is my code:
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.Font;
    import java.awt.Graphics;
    import java.awt.Toolkit;
    import java.awt.Window;
    public class FontList{
    public static void main(String args[]){
    String[] fontslist = getToolkit().getFontList();
    for(int i = 0; i < fontslist.length; i++){
    System.out.println(fontslist[i] +"\n");
    What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
    Regards

    What you are doing wrong is using an old book, and not using Google or the api docs to realize that you are using very much outdated info.
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/awt/GraphicsEnvironment.html#getAvailableFontFamilyNames is what you want to use, and here is the code that uses it. It took me less time to find that, than it took me to type this reply
    import java.awt.GraphicsEnvironment;
    public class TestCondition {
         public static void main(String args[]) {
              GraphicsEnvironment ge = GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment();
              String[] fontslist =  ge.getAvailableFontFamilyNames();
              for (int i = 0; i < fontslist.length; i++) {
                   System.out.println(fontslist[i] + "\n");

  • System Fonts not showing in the font list

    After I upgraded Adobe CC 2014.3.1.44, CL78964 on my Windows 8 (64-bit) computer, none of the system fonts are listed within Muse.
    Understand two things, one. This used to work fine.  I was able to see all of the system fonts, now only the ones on this list show up.  Two, and fonts that I add via the web kit doesn't show up either.
    I have uninstalled, then reinstalled.  Nothing.  I have also looked for the elusive fonts.db, which cannot be found on my system.  Ideas?
    Thanks,
    Aaron

    Hi Aaron,
    Thanks for the prompt response. We are wondering if you could try a few other things that will help isolate the issue. Our theory is the issue might be related to OS user permissions.
    Run Adobe Muse CC as an Administrator
    Locate the "Adobe Muse CC 2014" shortcut icon in Windows Explorer
    Right-click the "Adobe Muse CC 2014" icon and then click "Run as administrator"
    When the "User Account Control" is displayed, do one of the following:
    If you are logged on as a standard user, or if the user account control is configured to always require credentials, enter the appropriate administrative credentials, and then click "OK"
    If you are logged on as an administrator and user account control is not configured to always require credentials, click "Yes" to start the application
    After Muse finishes launching, create a new site and inspect the font drop-down
    Verify "Local Store" folder permissions
    Open a Windows Explorer dialog
    In the address field enter "%appdata% and open the folder named "com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.3".The folder path should be similar to the following with <username> being the current OS user's nameC:\Users\ <username> \AppData\Roaming\com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.2014.3
    Right-click on the folder "Local Store" and select "Properties"
    In the "Local Store Properties" tab, select "Security"
    Select the current user name from the "Group or user names" list
    Observe the section "Permissions for ...." in the "Local Store Properties" dialog. Does the user have full permissions (full control, modify, read & execute, list folder contents, read, write)?
    Do you know if the Windows OS user account you are using is an administrator or standard user on your machine? You can find out by navigating to the following in Windows Explorer and selecting "Manage User Accounts":
    Control Panel\User Accounts\User Accounts
    Please let me know if you need any clarification on what we are asking for.
    Thank you for your time in advance.
    Regards,
    Marc

    HiPlease read the FAQ and forum sticky threads (if you haven't done so already).
    When you have a problem you'll get a faster, more effective response by including as much relevant information as possible upfront. This should include:

    <li>Full DB/version/edition/host OS
    <li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener/host OS)

    With APEX we're also fortunate to have a great resource in apex.oracle.com where we can reproduce and share problems. Reproducing things there is the best way to troubleshoot most issues, especially those relating to layout and visual formatting. If you expect a detailed answer then it's appropriate for you to take on a significant part of the effort by getting as far as possible with an example of the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for assistance with specific issues, which we can then see at first hand.
    please help me with decreasing the size of font in List View.The presentational aspects of APEX applications are controlled using a combination of HTML and CSS via themes and templates. The basic answer to controlling font sizes is: use CSS. It's not possible to be more specific without the information detailed above.

  • Character pallet does not list all fonts

    On all previous versions of photoshop, whatever fonts were in the windows/fonts folder were available to use in the character pallet. Now, with CS3, only the system fonts show up. Some of the other fonts are listed separately at the bottom of the list...but by name only. Meaning they are not actually the font style that they claim to be. Is this just happening to me? A bug maybe?

    Umm, what fonts? What version of Windows? What are your region settings? Font ordering and display is affected by it... Apart from that, the behavior seems not normal. Do you have enough user privileges to actually access the font folder? Maybe it's something like that, that prevents Windows from properly building its font cache...

  • LOV/List of available Fonts

    Does anyone know how to get list of all available fonts on system?. I want to add available fonts to list item, or text item with LOV. using forms 6i
    Thanks

    i don't know how but I can give you a guide line. You can try.
    create another c or vb program that will count font in you system and create a list to text file. Then call that program and get list from that text field. Because you can import text from text file to you form or list.
    Thanks

    All of these look like the bit that is failing is the bit that is poping up a submenu of the various font weights.

  • I installed font it shows in list but in css doesnt work

    Hello I am new to dreamweaver, I install font Paint Drips in windows and dreamweaver CS6 when I choose the font in list in css font-family the font doesnt change on webpage. The css font-family name is Paintdrp and it doesnt work. Any help will be appreciated.

    You have a link to your main_template.css file before the <head> section starts, that's a relatively big no-no. Move that link into your <head> </head> section.
    Your "Backhand Brush" font-family will only work on a machine where that font is installed, you have no link to a webfont or @font-face rule in your css. Here are some resources to help you get that working...
    CSS3 Web Fonts
    CSS3 @font-face Rule
    There is no "Paintdrp" font anywhere in your css, is this the most recent version of the file you're working on?
    You have other errors in your code, run the validator at http://validator.w3.org to find them and fix them, mainly html text content, the horizontal bars, are in an invalid location between an ending </li> and before the next line items starting <li>, you can't have content in that location.
