For my USA trip: do I just need a charger for the US to plug-in or do I need a converter as well to go to 110 Voltage?

do I just need the correct (american) plug or also the converter to change power from 220 to 120 ?

I would like to use my old Dell projection unit with my new Macbook Pro laptop, but obviously there is no such plug in the Macbook. Is there an adaptor I can connect and make it work? Without the old "F" keys, how do I get the Macbook to provide output to the projection unit? I don't see an icon on a button anywhere?

You have to determine what connection options are available on the projector. You probably will need a Mini-displayport (Thunderbolt) adapter. that can accommodate the projector.

Is there a way for the Sitegrinder 3 plug-in for photoshop to work on OS X Maverick

I am receiving an error message when trying to run the MediaLab plug-in (Sitegrinder 3) within Adobe Photoshop CS5.
Message: Could not complete the SiteGrinder 3 command because there is not enough memory (RAM).
I have already tried adjusting the memory allocation in Preferences and performance to no avail, anyway, I know memory is not the issue, as I have already eliminated this. Can anyone suggest a fix, outside of creating a new partition and running an earlier OS X on that as well? Any informed solutions would be appreciated.

There are a number of posts on the issue in the MediaLab forums with no apparent solutions. If you're already on 3.6.2, the most recent version, you'll probably need to contact MediaLab support and ask them for assistance, or run on an earlier version of Mac OS X.

I too bought my Macbook Pro in the US and I live in the UK (its so much cheaper in the US! No 20% VAT!)
The power adapter does work on UK 230v power. You can also get a three pin extension lead (like the 2 pin US one that came with the MBP) for about £3 with free delivery from Amazon UK.
Another tip, whne you are back in the UK, and you are switching from a PC to a Mac, get in touch with your local Apple Shop who run one to one free courses on how to use your MBP.

SLD connection need to made for the ECC apps system or ECC DB system

We have installed the ECC 6.0 . But the ECCAPP is installed in one system and ECC Database is installed in different system.
So , From portal we are planning to run some webdynpro iViews. Which are required to connect the ECC system for getting the data. Please let me know should i prepare the SLD connection for the ECCDB system or ECCAPP system.

You can very well create SLD system for ECCAPP and internally it will connect to the database. direct database connectivity is not required in the SLD.

Do you actually mean the white cable with a lightning plug on one end and a USB on other
If so that is not the charger ,that is the cable
The charger is the device that plugs into the mains socket

Problems w/ my Blackberry Extra Charger device for the Q-10

I'm a newbie to smartphones in general and Blackberry's in particular. Anyway I was wondering if anybody on here
has had any trouble/issues with the "Extra Battery Charger" ? I ask because when I first got the charger the L.E.D. indicator on it would work fine (i.e. when the button was pressed to light up : green, yellow, or red). Recently when I have used it to charge a spare NX1 battery, for some strange reason when I press the button to check it's state of charge nothing happens So I'm wondering if anybody on here has experienced the same problem and how to fix it (if can be fixed or do I need to replace the charger all together) ? Thanks

mine would not charge the battery one night, i unpluger the charger from the EBC and plugged it back in and it has worked since.
Next time you remove the battery, wait a few momnets until you put the dead one in as maybe the EBC gets confused when switching too fast. I have dupklicated it once but it took many tries to lock it up.

Screen protector for the back of iPhone 4?

I bought a screen protector for my iPhone 4 for obvious safety reasons. I also seen screen protectors for the back of the phone as well. Since it is glass also I was wondering if it is practical to shell out the money for a screen cover for the back also or if anyone has had any problems without one.

I am a beginner at Final Cut Pro. I have mpeg-2 video footage that I am trying to import the footage into Final cut, but can't. I understand I need to convert the file format. I am unfamiliar with how to go about the converding file formats and the codec what is the best way to go about converting the file format so I can edit it on Final cut pro?

Where did the files originate? (How were they created?)
Some formats can be brought in with the help of plug-ins.
MPEG Streamclip can usually convert them to Quick Time.

When I want to build an application there is a "!" mark before the application and for the Installer, in the Project Explorer under Build Specification.
When I ask for "explain warning" I got the message "The plug-in for the selected item is not installed on your system"
Previously it worked well, whats happend?? (during my holyday's )

Well, something obviously changed. Install any software and/or hardware recently? Using any hardware in your LabVIEW project? Could be the drivers for that hardware got corrupted. Try identifying what you're using and reinstall the drivers.

Wire diagramm for 4 pin Headset plug on iOS devices

How is the wire diagram for the 4 pin plug for Earphone/Headset plug for iOS Devices, such as iPhone, iPad etc.? I read somewhere that there must be a 1,5k resistor between Mic and Speaker, which has to do with the switch to take a call on the standard apple headset. Is that true?

Yeah, I've tried 5 out of the 7 steps shown in their troubleshooter. The sixth step is one that is a major pain and I doubt would fix the problem: Reinstall iTunes. I know enough about PCs to feel about 80% confident that this step would not fix the issue. Plus, it's a major hassle with re-adding music to the collection. Nevertheless, I will look at it as a last ditch effort.
The seventh step is extremely vague and doesn't really help. "There might be a software conflict." Fine, but there's no way to find any such conflict, if one even exists in the first place, without a heavy dose of trial-and-error, several hours of time, dozens of reboots, and the patience of Job.
However, they do list some other steps that I'll try when I get home, such as making sure certain services are installed and running. I'll post my results here. Thanks, wiclee.

How to arrange RJ45-DB25 converter for the 8 pins

I am trying to connect my laptop to cisco router console and so far I have roll-over cable with RJ45-DB25 and my laptop has DB25 connector which I usually use for printer.
can anyone tell me how to arrange the 8 pins from RJ45-db25 converter?I am trying to access the console the cisco router using RJ45-DB25 converter since my laptop does not have DB9 connector for me to use the Cisco management cable.
Any hint will greatly appreciated ... thx...

I am confused with pin number 7 since from the diagram above link there are 2 pinouts I can use i.e. 4 and 5 for the RJ45...is that mean I can use either?

That is the only way that you will be able to get it to work, short of adding a standard serial port to your laptop. I am forced to use the same method to access my equipment also as my laptop has no serial port either, only USB.
The drivers for the USB to Serial adapter will make it look like a COM port on your laptop. Mine shows up as COM5. This will allow you to use your favorite terminal application with the adapter.
